    It's Far Cry, but probably more bland and unfun than it's really ever been. It's overly goofy, the story is generic and feels very forced, the open world is tedious more than anything, the addition of ammo types becomes a chore to handle, enemy types are inconsequential, etc., etc., etc. It is possibly the most Ubisoft Ubisoft game that has Ubisofted.     I will start with the major issue I have with the game, the gear system. The gear system is very restrictive as it now links abilities to certain clothing items, for example to stealth kill an enemy and follow up by pulling the pin on their grenade before kicking them towards others is now locked into a pair of gloves where as in previous Far cry titles this perk was unlocked permanentlyI will start with the major issue I have with the game, the gear system. The gear system is very restrictive as it now links abilities to certain clothing items, for example to stealth kill an enemy and follow up by pulling the pin on their grenade before kicking them towards others is now locked into a pair of gloves where as in previous Far cry titles this perk was unlocked permanently once you earned it. Switching out your gloves for another pair you will then lose the ability to carry this out and this goes across all of the abilities that could just be used as normal in previous games which really restricts what you can do at one time, like drawing the enemies sidearm after a stealth execution to immediately take out another nearby enemy, in the previous games you can decide to either pull the grande pin or draw the side arm in then moment but now it depends on what gloves you’re wearing.

    This limitation applies to all aspects of abilities from previous games like reload speeds, running speeds, defence against fire, airborn takedowns, chain stealth executions and so much more.

    Ammo types as well, this also greatly restricts your ability to take out certain enemy types. If you’re using armour piercing ammo against enemies not wearing armour they will take 20+ bullets just to take them out which just ruins the flow of combat.

    These issues are arising across all of ubisofts games as they seem to be trying to turn all of their franchises into open world RPG’s, however these games just do not suit the RPG game design and it takes away what made these franchises great to begin with.

    Grinding for loot, XP and fighting over levelled damage sponge enemies is not what made Ubisofts titles so special and now it has ruined them in my honest opinion. This goes for Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon and Far Cry. They all follow the same RPG open world design now and it just sucks.

    Please for the love of god just give us an authentic FarCry experience without loot grinding, awfully baked in RPG mechanics and bloated open world activities. Basically, just give us a modernised FarCry 2 or 3.    … Expand

    I was not expecting this game to be such a disappointment. It looks and feels like 2007 game. Textures and materials are bad what happened to the water? Animations are creepy. This should not be sold at any price.

    Ubisoft has become one of the worst developers by far. The world is empty and each little checkpoint has the same three guys and a tank. Every other NPC is woke themed. The storyline is garbage despite having an amazing actor. This game is a complete disaster. I wouldn't play it for free or even if you gave me a few bucks. The game has a lot of guns but they dont seem to change the gameUbisoft has become one of the worst developers by far.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. با سلام . خلاصه بگم بازیش واقعا برای من اوایلش خوب بود فقط بعدش کل معموریتای اصلی شدن فرعی و این یک اجبار بود برای تموم کردن بازی و به شدت حوصله سر بر شده بود طوری که تا یکی دو ماه سمت بازی نرفتم و فقط بعدا برای گرفتن پلاتنیوم تروفیش یه سری زدم دوباره که بعدش بازم حالم بد شد از سیستم مبارزات و داستان و پشیمکن شدم باز کل معموریتای اصلیکه عملا فرعی بودن در گرفتن کامیون ازاد کردن یه بابایی بعدش خراب کردن بیلبورد خلاصه میشدن و ی چیز خیلی بد که گند زده بود تو گیم پلی این بود که کاراکتر اصلی بازی ضد گلوله بود و من تو طول بازی یک بارم سر موقع مبارزه و .. نمردم و فقط سر باگای بازی که یهو با ماشین داریم میریم و ماشین میوفته داخل زمین و یهو کاراکتر میمیره یعنی ماشین یاگ میخوره و میره داخل زمین و یهو هیچی میمیریم واقلا کلا بگم مبارزات افضاح و هیچ چالشی مداشت مخفی کاریم که نگم یهو طرف صورت ش اونطوربه اونور دنیاس یهو میفهمه اینا هم بیخبر از دنیا میفهمن و گند میشه تو همه چیز . با تشکر این بود انتقاد من از این بازی مثلا شاهکار برای خیلیا… Expand

    Do not buy this game!!! Buy Far Cry 5 or 3 instead. This game is literally a carbon copy of Far Cry 5, made worse because of no perks, no crafting, and only suits giving you power.

    It's honestly sad just how Far Cry has fallen.

    Far Cry 3 captivated people not really because of the gameplay, but because of how well written it was, with a bunch of stupid but likeable characters, a wild and recognizable (secondary) villain that shows some depth and an exciting storyline. I mean - when you ask people to name something they liked about Far Cry 3... they're going to say    It's honestly sad just how Far Cry has fallen.

    Far Cry 3 captivated people not really because of the gameplay, but because of how well written it was, with a bunch of stupid but likeable characters, a wild and recognizable (secondary) villain that shows some depth and an exciting storyline. I mean - when you ask people to name something they liked about Far Cry 3... they're going to say "Vaas", right? They're not gonna tell you that they love the collectibles. Or the crafting system.

    But with each entry in the series, they moved further and further away from what made Far Cry great while at the same time expanding the scope of the game. The maps get bigger, they get "more to do" while everything else falls by the wayside.

    I have played about half of the main story and the only story development I got so far was "we need more people for the revolution because look how horrible this Castillo guy is!" None of the characters are interesting or likeable, they're shallow caricatures, empty shells filled with stereotypes from comic books and movies. And if that wasn't enough, even the main character has the charisma of stale bread.

    Even when moving on to the gameplay, it's somehow... worse? Nothing I did in the game felt fun or rewarding. The activities on the map are uninspired and samey. Go here, destroy a billboard and kill all soldiers. Go there, destroy an AA gun and kill all soldiers. And so on and so forth. It very much reminded me of the NCPD scanner events from Cyberpunk 2077 - at least the combat in that game is actually fun.

    And that's about it. When you purchase Far Cry 6, you get an ocean of lukewarm and shallow activites with a story and characters that might as well just not be there. I honestly do not understand how anyone can like or enjoy these games anymore.

    Ubisoft is a shadow of its former self, focusing on easily monetizable content that can be churned out every two years or so using gigantic development teams. With that kind of structure in place (as a whole at Ubisoft), there's no way the devs can put the deserved creative energy, love and care into their projects. They just have to grind away to make everything bigger, to keep people playing for a whole two years until the next entry in the series drops.

    I'm done with Far Cry.

    2/10 because the game looks nice and runs pretty well on PC. It's a "working product", just not a good one.    … Expand

But with far cry 6 I am 20 hour in and bored out of my mind..FC 6 is a hugh steep in the wrong direction..Its an open world game filling with generic overused ideas, lbgtq politics, tedious grind or pay mechanics and not one ounce of originality..I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first. I loved every minute of every game and played them all from begining to end..     Complete garbage compared to far cry 5 and far cry new dawn. The novelty and authenticity has gone. Would not recommend. I paid £69.99 for my copy and its not worth a tenner!

    I quit the game after 6 hours. Start was good but when the game let you in open world it hits you that sadly its just kinda uninteresting and really boring. No immersion for me.

    How is even possible that after the first hour of the game, I bought a rifle, added a silencer and a red dot to it, and it is already the strongest weapon in the whole game? I mean I can literally go everywhere I want and kill everyone without even making an effort, just a decent aim and in 5 minutes I cleared an outpost, with the first rifle I bought in early game. I don't see the point of keep looking for weapons, because I swear I can buy the most expensive and secret rifle at the endgame, and it will still be weaker than my first rifle. This isn't destiny, and funny thing is Destiny even has a skill tree still and this game doesn't. How to ruin a game? Far Cry 6 is the answer to that.     It's all very "stunning" and "brave" and the absolute worst Far Cry game ever made, on all fronts.

    In short, don't be like me, don't buy this to give it a shot. Gosh, it's boring as hell. You do the same thing over and over again, and    I can't even tell you how much I regret buying this. I read reviews and thought to myself: "the reviews are pretty bad, plus I didn't really like the previous game, maybe it's not worth buying?" But there wasn't anything to play, so I ended up buying.

    In short, don't be like me, don't buy this to give it a shot. Gosh, it's boring as hell. You do the same thing over and over again, and hey, it's not even fun to do it! Most of people will end up just ignoring all side quests and complete the main story. Not because it's better, but because they bought the game and it's sad to waste money like this. I can't even push myself to launch it and complete the main story. I'd rather replay something else.

    I can write a detailed review, but I will not. This game already robbed me of my time and money, so I won't spend more time, writing what's bad about this game. A better questions is what's good? Nothing.

    So far the worst Far Cry I've played. The story and characters are so boring. All this shoved diversity and all the people just seem shallow and there just to check the box. The gameplay quite boring, nothing new. Music was atrocious.

    Hands down the worst FarCry so far.: beside the fact that it's just a re-skin of the last 3 episodes sold as a new game (same mechanics, same flaws), the main issue with this chapter is the plot.
    The weary clichè of the tropical island with the "evil" dictator vs the "good" cuban-ish revolutionaries is uninspired enough to make it annoying, but what it really made me hate this game is the    Hands down the worst FarCry so far.: beside the fact that it's just a re-skin of the last 3 episodes sold as a new game (same mechanics, same flaws), the main issue with this chapter is the plot.
    The weary clichè of the tropical island with the "evil" dictator vs the "good" cuban-ish revolutionaries is uninspired enough to make it annoying, but what it really made me hate this game is the woke BS that the writers tried to force down my throat: every single supposedly "positive" character in this game is a pretentious hipster that not only I not care about, but I wish failure to.
    Never in my life as a videogamer I gravitated towards the villain as I did in FarCry6: Anton Castillo doesn't seem better nor worse than his antagonists in any aspect, but at least he's not an hypocrite, unlike the "La Libertad" clowns that I have the misfortune of dealing with.
    In every mission where I massacred soldiers, civilians and animals I deep down hoped to be crashed by Castillo's forces, being captured and hanged in the capital main square as I deserved.
    My bad for not doing my research before buying this piece of garbage (yes, in 2022 you need to do research before buying a damn videogame), I have much rather spent these money on cyanide flavoured popsicles.

    Alright the rpg thing about leveling up thats something mostly players can accept but the bullets type for each enemy is the worst.
    Now the story and the villian far cry franchise is very well know for their villians in    Far cry 6 is one of the worst games of all franchise i really dont know who told them that it was a nice ida that every enemy is vulnerable to a certain type of bullet?!

    Now the story and the villian far cry franchise is very well know for their villians in their games but this villian even with Giancarlo Esposito didn’t hit like the villians of previus games, the villians of far cry always make it personal but Anton Castillo didn’t make it personal because we varely got any interaction with him just 4 times and you UBISOFT waste a villian that did have a great potential.
    And last the vehicle logic dont know what the horses of Yara eat but make them strong like tanks kinda dosent mach here, and talking about the tanks, the tanks are one of the most annoying vehicules in the game they dont have any strength in the roads a simple bush,rock or something in the way can make the tank stuck you cant crash with a vehicule because they dont let you pass. At least make the cars explote if we cant run over them if they crash against us.
    ¡UBISOFT if you want to make good games again listen to the players for once!
    Wanna fix the game at least a bit? Make an update where we can choose the how we want the experience for example: to choose if the enemies are weak to a certain type of bullet and more(like you guys did in ghost recon breakpoint)

    FIELD OF VIEW IS SO TERRIBLE LIKE LOOKING FROM A KEYHOLE. Fix that. Why the heck fov slider is always missing on consoles. How darn hard it is to add it. And why them devs choose so narrow on to beging with. Everyone is playing on 65" tvs these days so why pc with mini displays ges it but we dont.

    The game has a bug insurgency icons stop appearing, this problem has been going on from day 1, it's been a year and they still haven't fixed it. I never should've bought a Ubisoft game.

    The game itself is good but co op is complete garbage. I can't connect to anybody which make doing co op mission almost impossible to beat at a higher level. This game been out for a year and they still can't fix it? Not worth it

The shortcomings and annoyances seem to keep on coming, be it that you go into 3rd person when you enter a camp, the city they promoted are just a long street with infinitie respawning enemies, you also have the infinite respawning enemies that just feel like a bug, but is promoted as a intendent function. I can't get behind the supremos orFor me, this is the weakest game in the series. The shortcomings and annoyances seem to keep on coming, be it that you go into 3rd person when you enter a camp, the city they promoted are just a long street with infinitie respawning enemies, you also have the infinite respawning enemies that just feel like a bug, but is promoted as a intendent function. I can't get behind the supremos or the trash weapons and weapon mods. Suppressors overheating after a few shots, but somehow the suppressor made out of a bloody plastic milk jug somehow have the highest durability. No human companions, which is probably for the better, because your "allies" are really not the good guys they promote themselves to be. At points of the story I wasn't sure if the writers wanted the player to feel justified or disgusted, because the warcrimes just keep on coming. I'll end my **** here for now, the only silver lining for me was that it didn't crash and that nothing could score lower than BF2142 in 2021.… Expand

You can't even turn off the ridiculous x-ray vision for enemies. I paid $20 for this and still feel ripped off. Also HDR is broken if that's somethingOne of the worst games I've played this year. You let someone get away with human trafficking right in front of you, for crying out loud. The writing is horrendous with numerous logical gaps and inconsistent actions by the player character (one area we're completely fine with killing everyone in our path, and in another suddenly we want to spare people). The gunplay is great and the world is beautiful and feels lived in, but it is so horribly glitchy. The sheer number of times I died because the game refused to open my parachute is insane. I can't count how many times I should have been able to climb up a wall or even out of the water, and the game refused to let me. It also feels random when you take fall damage. A fall that should do no damage at all will more often than not kill you.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I preordered FC, pd $60, & avoided spoilers because I love FC series. I replay my FC games. I played FC6 & was close to 100% on trophies. I waited a few months to get my rage 0 score out of my system. The island beauty was a 10! I liked Treasure Hunts, fishing, & the outfits for skills. I'm a female, but I didn't like being forced to play as female for a trophy. Game play left me empty! First island fun, Guapo good but I quickly realized 80% on my machete kills was to the back of a female! Seemed geared to Ted Bundy! After initial island it went down hill. First, weapons didn't work or the upgrades. The respawn was insane especially with weapons which didnt kill. The missions so bad & embarassing, I was saying please god let this be the last one. The amigos so messed up! Croc, puma okay but a crippled dog, boomer from FC5 instead of Tinder from FCND but lastly the rooster was just so bad, I kept for the stupid trophies. My surprise was why would two great actors agree to be put in this mess. I wanted to join the dictator! I thought this would be like it other FC, it wasnt! I thought it was based on Cuba human right nightmares, it wasn't! It was a hit to US on racial & LGBTQ unfairness, but promoted in gameplay Trans couple verbally assaulting each other. If they wanted to create an entire game promoting this group, then the setting should be in one of the many countries where it is illegal & being different can end in death. Excessive women used & killed was another problem. I disliked all characters except the dictator & his kid. Plus, is it really Far Cry without Hulk? I wont preorder again, I will look for spoilers & this Far Cry 6 will get dusty. Will play FC 5 to scratch my itch! I'm sad!… Expand

    It’s incredible how much of a downgrade this is to Farcry 5. Storyline, graphics, scenery, game play - everything has regressed massively. It’s almost like they’ve purposely removed the great bits like hunting and capturing places, why??? I love this franchise but difficult to see where they can go after this.

    The only interesting characters are shown in cutscenes (the main antagonist and his son).

    The biggest issue with Far Cry 6 is not understanding why revolutions need to happen, and grappling with the real consequenses of fascist dictators and how these affect a country. It's strange because Far Cry 4 understands this much better and asks something much more politically intriguing and morally complicated. The humour/ half-assed social justice messeging don't necessarily translate well, or serve any purpose within this Cuban/fantasy setting. The humour genuinely down-plays the genuinely horrific reality that pushes people to a revolution/becoing a revolutinary. You don't choose to play the path/role of a revolutinary, revolutinaries are forced into unbeatable odds that make firm decisions to make a change. It's actually somewhat offensive tbh. If they stuck to a more grounded/serious tone, actually had a progression tree. had proper character devlopments this game could have been sensational.

    I would recommend picking this up for like 15 dollars once heavily discounted, but otherwise do not pay for this...it's not bad, it's just somewhat mediocre and is offensively innovative    … Expand

    The main villain has no charisma, compared to previous villains, there's just nothing. so unlikable are the heroes I hope there's an option to let him continue dictating.
    God I miss characters like Wills Huntley, Amita, Crazy Citra, and where's Hurk?
    Jesus, it's like a 14 year old was asked what do rebels look and act like...'errr well I guess they have tats and piercings and say 'f**k you' a lot' The Poochie revolution is upon us!
    This is the last Far Cry I purchase. I think the developers either despise their customers or just can't be bothered.

    Also, Spanish is not a language I speak. English first language, but can get by in German, Dutch and Korean, so why so much Spanish in this game? I don't know what a Miho is? I understand that Spanish is widely spoken in North America, but here in Europe it's not outside of Spaiin.    … Expand

    Though the game is a bit repetitive and prioritises humour over grit there would be fun to be had here. However, even after the most recent update (1.08) enemy outline bug still persists rendering the game pointless, for me. I can only compare it to doing a jigsaw puzzle with someone telling you where all the pieces go.

    I don't know why the score is a mere 4.7. The base game i have played through 3 times and for me the story is solid, graphics awesome and voice acting great. The base game does have climbing mechanic issues that really don't make sense. I love the base game, and purchased the DLC. OMG disappointment beyond belief. Diego being being taken to an alternate earth and seeing him evolve into his father as a really evil dictator. I was honestly looking forward to playing an open world game in the dlc from the baddies perspective. From far cry 4 onwards in main games you can approach the game like a head on tank shooting away and using your proximity explosives molotovs or getting a good sniper with silencer and approaching areas from stealth. I get why an arcade style experience works for some. I like taking on an area from stealth. the DLC 1 and 2 well this dynamic is absent. And lets be fair here it seems every shot taken at me hits. Utterly ridiculous. I'm really disappointed. Came back to FC6 dlc after completing cyberpunk. I hope dlc 3 returns to what is good about far cry or this will be the last time i buy dlc. FC6 has a beautiful massive sandbox of Yara where being the bad guy would be awesome. Yet we are forced into surreal characters heads who are already dead. Dani could have been made El Presidente and we could have experienced his/her unwillingness to take the lead in the aftermath of a dictators demise. Yet we get the mess that is Vaas and Pagan. I did manage to complete vass in 2hrs30 mins on easy. Pagan after realising i was playing the second pile of crap i didn't enjoy with Vaas i turned off and won't be going back. Fingers crossed dlc 3 plays like the FC i have come to love over the years. I do have FC 3 knocking about here somewhere. Might have to dust off the ps3 until March. Please let the last instalment make the season pass worth the money and the wait.....… Expand

Loads of customization with weapons, gear, vehicles etc, but a been there done that feeling. The main villain i had high hopes for but didnt impact on first appearance.

His lieutenants are equally one dimensional and while the same could be said about the Seeds, FC5 presented them in an interesting manner and gave insight as to why they were as they were. The best I can say about the lieutenants of Anton are that they are a**holes and not much more. I am through a third of the game and there is no personal connection to Anton with the main character and no personal stakes involved beyond 'Anton bad - kill everything red'. Far Cry 3 - 5 conveyed everything through the eyes of the player character, forcing the developers to add a personal element to everything they saw and did. Sometimes it got contrived (how many times did the deputy get kidnapped in 5, for example) but threats and danger felt real. 6 does everything through third person cutscenes which is jarring from previous titles and feels cheap as Dani is undeveloped as a character. Any ethical dilemmas surrounding the production and sale of 'Viviro', a miracle wonder drug that can cure cancer, is completely side stepped, as is also why a regime with seemingly endless resources has to resort to unprotected slave labour in its lethal production (notes in the game say that slave labour is necessary to keep production going rather than just a useful means of removing dissidents).

    Gameplay wise much of the map feels empty and pointless. Esperanza, the largest city in a Far Cry game, seems empty and destitute of life. There are entire 'off limits' areas in the main campaign with no guards or missions involved, making you feel like you have gone somewhere the game did not expect you to go or that it was broken. There also appears to be a lot less wildlife than previously. Hunting certain game seems resigned to set areas and as a result the crazy randomness of previous Far Cry games seems lost. The game so far is also incredibly easy, even on 'gamer mode' to the point where I have gone in guns blazing, just to have a sense of challenge. The game is set up for co-op play (and encourages it), however I fail to see what joy it would bring as the missions are blazingly easy and straightforward. Resource gathering for settlement improvements was fun at first but this is quickly becoming a chore and acts as a brake on the pace of the game as you ferret out every piece of metal and rubbish. Money is difficult to come by however if you sniff out every cache as you go, you will quickly receive most of the weapons that are available in stores. So in-game currency is split into resources (weapon modifications and settlement upgrades - desirable) and pesos (buying weapons - unnecessary). There are now two systems where one would have worked just fine. On a positive note the variety of weapons and modifications have been expanded on and there is a wide variety of customization with not just the look of your weapons but their feel and abilities. The most critical modification for any weapon is whether you have soft-tipped rounds or armour-piercing rounds. Weapons with soft-tipped rounds are useless against armoured enemies and as a result you MUST have at least one weapon with AP rounds 'attached', forcing you into a certain playstyle. The inventory menu is also a mess.

    I am a third through the game and looking further into the main story, I do not see anything really enticing me to play the rest of the game. Nothing develops with Anton's son, or Viviro or Anton himself and so I have to wonder why these elements were even included in the first place besides just feeling like placeholders for a setting where you shoot people. I forced myself to play through the whole game because I paid for it. I paid for it because of the masterpiece that FarCry 5 was. This game was a total backslide, if not the worst that the series has offered to date. I’m only glad that I now get to delete this from my PS5’s SSD drive and replace it with Ghost of Tsushima.     Every year the company has more experience making this series, yet it seems to get worse. This one is no exception. To add to this they went full on woke. I guess I either need to stop buying Ubisoft games, or make read reviews before I purchase. Enough companies making good games, so will probably do the former.

    The game is literally a shiny turd. Looks amazing at times but, the gameplay, AI, mechanics and all the things that make a game are just so bad. Typical Ubisoft game. If you’ve played far cry 3 then you’ve played this. Big miss. Only redeeming factor is Giancarlo.

J’aime bien les réactions à la première personne ( personnage parle quand on lui dit salut ).Mais on ne peut pas augmenter le personnage comme les autres far-cry. Les armes sont a chier, les animaux sa fais vraiment dur, aucune ressemblance avec les autres jeux. J’ai l’impression qu’ils ont mixé assassin creed et far-cry.     I got about 4 hours into the game and stopped playing the story dint grasp me enough and the gameplay style is getting old. Its just far cry again, this franchise needs a break from oversaturation.

So many of the best parts of previous Far Cry games have been pruned or are simply missing. Even flying aircraft has been dumbed-down to the point the physics don't make any sense. I enjoyed far cry 6 for most of the time I played it, but there are some glaring flaws. 1st - There is no ability to recruit human fighters to help you or man your vehicle gun in singleplayer mode. They only included animals that follow you around. About 3/4 through the game there are 2 unlikable characters that are so annoying, it made me nearly quit the game, to make things worse they introduce woke politics into the story via trans rights and claiming American is a racist country. Unbelievable! There are also a number of glitches in the game, like when you shoot a person in a vehicle, then they dive out dead, not fall out lol!

    + some guns feel really good
    + Good size map
    + No drugged out moments in the story.
    + No forced captures like in fc5
    + Lots of detail / gun modding.
    + Very nice water effects.

    - made unlikable characters
    - wasted villain
    - planes and choppers are practically worthless in combat.
    - story in uneven in places
    - Can't recruit human AI

    I think the gave deserves a 6.5.    … Expand

    Ubisoft's signature franchises continue to deliver on what the fans have come to expect and Far Cry 6 is no exception. A sprawling sandbox with tons to do and perfect escapism for a few hours… a few tens of hours. Fans of the series or Ubisoft's style, in general, will want to pick this one up, those who haven't ever clicked with them will find nothing new here to change their mind, with only a few changes that just do not push the boat out or move away from the formulaic. Most exciting though, is the upcoming DLC: a season pass that promises to give players a whole different experience. Stepping into the shoes of the villains of the previous games, starting with Vaas.     The new episode of the Far Cry series really tries a lot to find new ways how to enjoy the game, and at the same time it relies on the unattainable depth that the charismatic Giancarlo Esposito was supposed to give to the game. Instead, players again receive a disparate mishmash that is increasingly moving away from both the original Far Cry idea and the Just Cause sandbox.

    If I’m being honest, my frustrations with the marketing’s focus on the worst caricatures of Latinx people made me brace myself for a racist triple-A experience full of gross clichés and awkward attempts to be apolitical. Instead, I was surprised to find that more thought than I expected was put into its depiction of Latinx people. Although it isn’t perfect — those cringeworthy lines! The grind of finding gear! — it’s better than what I initially expected, and that counts for something.
