Enotria: The Last Song is a very promising debut from a new development studio, and an impressive benchmark to compare future releases to. In a crowded Soulslike market, Enotria distinguishes itself with its unique setting and impressive production values. Combat is satisfying, despite carrying the baggage of a few too many systems with it, most of which can however be safely placed on the backburner. The real star of the show, however, is the level design, which creates a series of showstopper moments that permeate the game’s full runtime and never let a dull moment arise. With its optional story mode, the game offers something for every type of skill level, becoming an easy recommendation for players of all types looking to get into the genre.

Enotria: The Last Song is a soulslike action RPG that manages to avoid being just another copy of other big names in the genre. Its unique look with an Italian artistic and cultural references aligned with its gameplay concept of masks and lines makes the gaming experience unique and necessary for any fan of the genre. A good debut title on consoles for developer Jyamma Games.

Enotria: The Last Song is a Soulslike that breaks from usual because of the environment and narrative, which takes inspiration from Italian folklore. It offers a few difficult combats with interesting new mechanics, but it felt a little under-done. Fans of the genre will enjoy this game more for its strengths than its flaws overall because it is just another solid Soulslike.

Considering the studio was working on mobile games, this leap toward a Souls-like experience is a good one. Enotria: The Last Song has obvious weaknesses, but it also shines in moments and sections with the same sun that illuminates its lands. If you're not a fan of this type of game, this one can welcome you into a world full of challenges and suffering that's deeply satisfying. Aside from the bad and some of the flaky content, Enotria is a decent game, with its own soul and some innovative ideas, though it will undoubtedly be crucified by the most demanding players.

Enotria is one of the few soulslike AA games that successfully establishes its own identity. Its world stands out in the genre, thanks to its bright environments drawing inspired by the Italian Renaissance architecture and the beautiful scenery of the Amalfi Coast. Hopefully, in their next game, Jyamma Games will further showcase their great talent by creating more memorable boss fights and increasing enemy variety.
