UFC 6 is, to date, the most complete mixed martial art gaming experience available. Visual pleasing, with enough content to keep players going for many rounds. New accessible play options are a massive bonus, and whilst it does suffer from "EA bloat", it's not so overwhelming as to ruin the experience.

With new modes and features aiming to better onboard players, as well as an improved Career mode and upgrades to the core combat experience, EA Sports UFC 6 is the most entertaining and authentic representation of the sport yet. The new museum-like Hall of Legends is a great addition, too.

EA Sports UFC 6 refines an already strong formula, offering more spectacular and believable fights thanks to a striking system that effectively delivers the full power of punches, kicks, and elbows. The ground-fighting sequences are also very well done, featuring depth and technicality, while the Career mode accurately represents the dual life of the modern fighter, torn between training and the pursuit of fame. Less convincing is the Flow bar, which introduces an arcade element that doesn’t quite fit with the game’s simulation-oriented spirit, along with some inaccuracies in the slow-motion highlights. It doesn’t revolutionize the series, but it improves it in almost every aspect, confirming its status as the best UFC game from EA Sports.

EA Sports UFC 6 is another hit for the sport, delivering an excellent experience inside the octagon with long-lasting game modes that keep the player engaged for a long time.

EA Sports UFC 6 puts the franchise back on track, offering great gameplay and a good range of modes for fans of the sport. The only downside would be a revamp of the ground fighting, making submissions more dynamic and precise instead of just pushing the analog stick back and forth. The vast roster is also a great draw for old-school fans, although some older fighters aren't 100% faithful to their physique. However, the graphical precision and fluidity of the strikes compensate for this flaw, creating a feeling almost like watching a major event.

UFC 6 from EA Sports is a fun improvement on many levels from previous releases in the series. It’s easier to get into, exciting to play, and offers enough modes to make this a long-term experience.

EA Sports UFC 6 delivers an authentic and highly entertaining MMA experience. Its deep combat system rewards skill and strategy, while new accessibility options help newcomers find their footing. Although the career mode remains somewhat repetitive and veterans may miss bigger innovations, UFC 6 successfully captures the intensity and spectacle of the sport.

UFC 6 definitely feels like championship material, though it's a few notches below an all-time great.

If you have always dreamed of stepping into the Octagon, this new installment is the perfect entry point. The attention paid to differentiating each athlete's stance, the palpable weight of every strike, and the cumulative wear and tear that dictates match strategy raise the intellectual bar of the fight, elevating the striking mechanics to a level the series has never reached before. However, the experience is held back by stiff ground fighting and a submission system that still fails to convince—preventing the title from achieving true simulation status—while the "Flow State" mechanic highlights the difficulty of balancing spectacle with simulation rigor. Yet, the game's most interesting legacy lies elsewhere. Thanks to the Hall of Legends, the sports game transcends mere abstract simulation, becoming a tool to explore and celebrate the psychology and origins of the champions. UFC 6 may not be the definitive MMA simulation—and there is certainly room for improvement in certain areas—but it is the best entry to date, and the first to genuinely attempt a compelling portrayal of the man behind the fighter.

EA Sports UFC 6 stands as the most complete and refined installment in EA's UFC franchise to date. Its outstanding Hall of Legends mode, the intensity introduced by the new Flow State mechanic, and a more authentic presentation significantly enhance the experience both inside and outside the Octagon. While Legacy Mode falls short due to its weak narrative, and issues such as recycled animations, career mode grinding, and an uneven roster still persist, the overall package remains highly impressive. It may not be an all time classic, but it is undoubtedly a serious title contender among MMA games.

EA Sports UFC 6 delivers excellent presentation, plenty of content, and the strongest UFC package EA has produced so far. Its new arcade-inspired mechanics won't please everyone, but solid combat, authentic atmosphere, and meaningful UFC integration make it an easy recommendation for MMA fans.

We are on the right track, and excellence is not far away. UFC 6’s gameplay marks the biggest change the franchise has ever seen. If Flow State is refined and the ground game receives more attention, this could become one of the best fighting simulators we have seen. For UFC fans and fighting game enthusiasts in general, it adds what the series needed. However, if you are looking for something casual to simply pass the time, it may take some effort to get into, as the learning curve requires patience.

Finally, regarding the audio, we really appreciated the voice acting (in English, with Italian subtitles) during story mode, the commentary, and the sound design, which realistically captures the atmosphere of a UFC bout. The soundtrack, however, might not be to everyone's taste.

UFC 6 isn’t the revolution fans imagined after three years of waiting. It isn’t that UFC moment when someone steps into the Octagon and changes the sport forever. It’s a sequel that takes nearly every element of its predecessor and makes it better. One question remains: what if there had been one more round of development? “The Legacy” feels like the first season of a series that needed a few more episodes. “Hall of Legends” ends sooner than it should. “The Flow” has potential, but he still seems like a fighter who hasn’t found his weight class yet. The verdict is simpler than it seems: UFC 6 is the best MMA game EA Vancouver has ever released. Sometimes the difference between a contender and a champion comes down to the details. UFC 6 spends much of its time proving it’s just a punch away from the belt. In the Octagon, a punch away can be everything.

EA Vancouver believes that every fighter has a story, and with EA Sports UFC 6, it has completely proven its point. Despite a few unnecessary additions, like Flow State and The Gym, slightly hindering its overall success, the heart of UFC 6 — two modes that pay supreme respect to the fighter’s journey in Hall of Legends and The Legacy — more than redeem it. Taken in its entirety, this game is very much like a fable itself; a violent one that’s split between fiction and reality, which typically isn’t a good thing. But ultimately, the care and attention given to the latter, to the sport’s history, culture, icons, and everything in between, helps it reach a satisfying end that any MMA fan should be proud of.

EA Sports UFC 6 continues to be a game designed to please MMA fans, more specifically those of the UFC universe. The game hits the mark by replicating the atmosphere of the event, both in the scenarios and characterization of the company's main stars, and by bringing new modes that also seek to imitate the daily lives of professional fighters.

EA Sports UFC 6 is a great sports-fighting game that brings a slew of single-player content that new and returning UFC fans will enjoy. With well over 100 playable fighters on the base roster, there's a legend or current-day superstar to test out with the improved gameplay mechanics and new features, including the all-new and intuitive Flow State. The game's assist and difficulty options also give you control and ease you into what's new in EA Sports UFC 6.

The story does a great job of pulling you along for the first few hours as you go from rivals to friends and back to rivals again. It gets you invested in the action and raises the stakes, but the narrative climaxes near the beginning of your UFC career and then fizzles out. It feels like a bit of a missed opportunity to keep you engaged when you reach the top and have to defend your belts. Nonetheless, between the fluid fighting and the story-mode razzmatazz, this is the best version yet of EA’s fight-sim series.

Increasing the technical efficacy for UFC 6 was the next progression for the franchise as it utilizes the tools that EA has been implementing in recent times. Fight Week will keep players engaged along with The Gym, but this feels more geared towards the hardcore UFC fan. There's a lot here for newcomers to start with, but the accessibility features can at least get them engaged initially. The Legacy narrative prologue to Career Mode is narrow, and most of the time in the mode, ends up involving sparring to try to increase traits and fitness prior to a fight. There's much more here that can be added. The game looks and sounds great and the combat remains core. Flow State is a welcome addition, however, if going towards being a fighting game. The menu performance is abysmal and hopefully can be improved as it detracts from doing certain things. The Hall of Legends is a wonderful experience that needs to be implemented into other sports games. Everyone loves a good documentary. UFC 6 improves on the UFC experience over its predecessor and boasts everything that the fanbase could ask for.

EA Sports UFC 6 does many things right, delivering what you’d expect from it. But as a title meant to advance the franchise, it stumbles too often to truly stand out.

UFC 6 is still the best game this franchise has delivered in a long time. The visuals are incredible. The physics engine brings wild unpredictability that’s both gruesome and hilarious. And the soundtrack alone elevates the experience above the rest. The career mode is a missed opportunity and the customization tools need serious attention — but as a complete package, UFC 6 lands more than it misses. Sometimes a clear step forward is exactly what a franchise needs.

After three year development work, one could expect even greater strides forward, but EA Sports UFC 6 still leaves a good aftertaste for fans of the sport and also for those who generally like high-quality fighting games.

It delivers the most satisfying MMA experience inside the octagon to date through the impressive Real-Time Contact system and fluid animations. However, it feels rushed and lacks depth outside the cage, suffering from a shallow story mode and sparse initial content. Despite technical brilliance, these shortcomings prevent it from reaching its full potential.

EA Sports UFC 6 is a bit of a second wind for this veteran franchise, delivering impressive visuals, refined action, and new ways to play, including a series-first story mode and a flashy Hall of Legends celebrating the accomplishments of some of the biggest names in the sport. The series is still a bit stuck in its ways in some aspects -- grappling could use an update and Career Mode is still a grind -- but overall, UFC 6 punches things up more than you might expect.
