Oct 15, 2025With gameplay improvements and excellent additions to its modes, EA Sports FC 26 is a stunning achievement in a series that remains at a level unreachable by its rivals.
-
Sep 19, 2025Overall, this is one hell of a football package that now tries to satisfy both classic arcade-loving football gamers and the diehard players who strive for an ever more realistic title to enjoy. By giving you the option now for both, FC 26 elevates its gameplay offering on last year and makes this a must-buy for football fans. Although don’t expect giant changes anywhere else in the title, more small tweaks.
-
Sep 19, 2025FC 26 is the best entry to the franchise in the last five years. It hits its predecessor out of the park in every department, and it’s what any football game should strive to be. With intense gameplay and more modes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. You can easily spend hundreds of hours grinding the gameplay content and improving yourself, while the rewards act as a cherry on top.
-
Sep 19, 2025Is this year's edition enjoyable? The short answer: yes, in its current state. Should I buy it? That decision is yours. The pricing is steep, but it's truly better than EA FC 25—or rather, it’s the EA FC 25 we were supposed to get. The offensive flair, improved goalkeeper performance, the addition of new playstyles and tactics, and an enhanced UI are all noteworthy, though the poor defensive performance remains a glaring flaw.
-
Sep 19, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is a veritable smorgasbord of well-refined modes, improved gameplay mechanics, and never-better player likenesses. No single upgrade defines the experience, but offline players will feel particularly grateful for this year's litany of realism-focused changes.
-
Sep 19, 2025EA Sports FC 26 has everything it takes to enter the franchise’s “Hall of Fame” alongside classics like FIFA 14 and FIFA 17. The game delivers two incredible experiences for its respective audiences: authentic offline play and competitive online action, featuring the best gameplay since the series changed its name. It’s still not perfect — and probably never will be — but it feels like a championship-winning goal for a team that needed to deliver a response to its fans.
-
Sep 23, 2025FC 26 is without a doubt one of the best football games in years – perhaps even the best since FIFA 17. This time, the developers have genuinely listened to the fans, rather than just making empty promises. The game – including its servers – feels fast and smooth, making it simply enjoyable to play again. You don’t boot up FC 26 because you feel you have to, but because you want to. In terms of new modes, FC 26 isn’t revolutionary, and graphically we would have liked to see a bit more progress. Still, that hardly takes away from the overall package, which once again guarantees hundreds of hours of fun.
-
Sep 19, 2025EA SPORTS FC 26 marks a step forward from its predecessor. Balanced gameplay and a fluid structure that's incredibly fun, it also brings some changes to Ultimate Team and Career modes (both player and manager), always hitting the mark. We hope this holds true throughout the year, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for any patches that, in the past, have brought about some unwelcome changes.
-
Sep 21, 2025EA Sports FC 26 isn’t a revolution, but it’s a noticeable step forward. The split between “Authentic” and “Competitive” gameplay adds welcome variety, the AI feels smarter, and the presentation is more immersive. However, career mode still lacks depth, balancing issues remain, and Ultimate Team continues to lean heavily on microtransactions.
-
Oct 14, 2025Overcoming the shortcomings of its last two installments, FC 26 stands out as one of the finest football simulations in recent years. The new Authentic Mode delivers the most realistic football experience the series has ever achieved, while Competitive Mode continues to cater to players who prefer a faster, more arcade-style approach. After years of refinement, the FC series is finally reclaiming its crown, and FC 26 marks a major step forward on that journey.
-
Sep 29, 2025EA Sports FC 26 goes beyond the series’ usual iterative upgrades by offering gameplay modes that can appeal to different types of players. However, don’t expect it to be a revolution for the franchise, as it still keeps its classic feel and flaws, such as the overuse of old models and the absence of licensed Brazilian teams.
-
Sep 29, 2025EA Sports FC 26 makes a handful of great changes to the core gameplay and animation systems, making the game play as good as it looks. New additions to manager career are welcome, while Ultimate Team continues to be an enticing prospect for those that want to invest their time and cold hard cash on the prospect of assembling a top tier squad. It’s not always perfect, but there’s no doubt FC 26 is the best footy sim out there.
-
Sep 26, 2025Once again, EA FC 26 arrives with specific updates that don't justify the high price of its annual edition. As promised, the game listened to its players' complaints and tried to address many of them, but in some cases, the sheets were pulled to one side of the bed, leaving the other side exposed. The two distinct gameplay styles aim to appeal to a wider audience, but there are still positioning bugs that the game's AI can't handle, which are likely to generate new complaints.
-
Sep 23, 2025After years of frustration with the direction of the annual FIFA releases, EA Sports FC 26 delivers a fresh approach that genuinely feels like a change. The separation between competitive and authentic gameplay represents one of the smartest decisions EA has made within the franchise. For fans of Career Mode, this game constitutes a must buy from day one, especially if you enjoy long seasons, tactical adjustments, and realistic simulation.
-
Sep 25, 2025EA Sports FC 26 refines gameplay with sharper controls, rewarding precision, and improved goalkeeping, while Ultimate Team remains the focus. Dual modes add choice, but limited updates elsewhere keep it from feeling truly fresh.
-
Sep 22, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is the epitome of marginal gains. Every aspect of play has been tweaked and refined to improve your time on the pitch. Small details, shaped by community feedback, address long-standing concerns that have followed the series for years. Splitting gameplay into different modes is a smart choice, giving players the freedom to choose the style that best fits them. However, the inability to play Authentic online is a major drawback for those who prefer that experience. And while on-pitch gameplay feels sharper than ever, the surrounding modes remain too familiar to past iterations, weighed down further by aggressive monetization through FUT’s premium season pass. EA Sports FC 26 takes meaningful steps forward on the pitch, but it still needs bolder changes off it to truly move the series ahead.
-
Sep 26, 2025EA Sports FC 26 consolidates itself as a release that, without completely breaking with its roots, manages to fine-tune key aspects that had been dragging on from previous editions.
-
Oct 6, 2025The improved learning curve, the inclusion of enhancements in Pro Clubs and Career Mode, and the weekly events make the game even more appealing. The question is what each player aspires to achieve, because it takes hours to complete a year despite there being some areas for improvement. In the meantime, if everyone does their part to make it more realistic, FC 26 is the game for the whole season.
-
Sep 30, 2025FC 26 boosts its rosters, presentation, and a number of things already solid in FC 25. The standout is a new Authentic Gameplay mode, which soccer enthusiasts will love to explore and maximize its simulation aspects.
-
Sep 19, 2025EA SPORTS FC 26 improves the gameplay feeling and reduce the pace impact during matches, but at the same time there's almost no new relevant content in other aspects.
-
Oct 26, 2025EA FC 26 is a complete football simulator game that contains every option for every player according to their preference, whether you want to play as a manager, seasons into the night or career mode, everyone will find something to find and get the most out of a complete football game with a beautiful and complete package. So put on your shoes and turn on the PlayStation, it's waiting for you.
-
Oct 7, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is a great football game, though it offers few new features outside of adjusted animations, smarter goalkeepers and some new leagues and settings. The most notable addition is the choice between "competitive" and "authentic" playstyles, the latter of which provides a more realistic football experience.
-
Oct 5, 2025You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover - nor EA by its microtransactions. But if you manage to look past that, FC 26 delivers the best football experience of the modern gaming era. There’s still room for improvement, but it finally feels like we’re on the right track.
-
Oct 5, 2025EA Sports FC 26 boasts some of the best on-field gameplay the series has ever seen. Casual and veteran players alike will appreciate the split in gameplay presents and just how distinct and responsive each dribble, pass, and shot feels in accordance with each. Monitization has unfortunately poked its ugly head into single-player modes now, too, so be fair warned in that regard. Still, this is the best soccer simulator I've played in years, so it is unlikely to disappoint anyone willing to look past some of its minor faults.
-
Oct 2, 2025Despite some controversial decisions in terms of monetization, EA Sports FC 26 is by far the best soccer game we could have hoped for.
-
Oct 2, 2025Despite some hoping for EA Sports FC 26's crucifixion, the reality is that it's a good soccer game that offers a more polished experience than in recent years. All the rehashes and reworks are evident, but so are the areas for improvement that seek to find the balance between simulation, fun, and gameplay. Its limitations, errors, and oversights are fewer than in recent releases, and if we translate the experience to what happens on the field, the result is satisfactory.
-
Sep 29, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is a better game than FC 25 and can give you a good game of football, especially when Authentic mode in single player comes together properly. However, for that to happen you need to play on World Class difficulty, as anything below that exposes poor defending by the AI. There has been evolution here, but FC 26 is still only a step towards getting the balance right, and not the final stop.
-
Sep 29, 2025EA Sports FC 26 tries to right some of the wrongs of last year, and while it's a superb football title with plenty of depth, there are some frustrations with its gameplay.
-
Sep 29, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is a step up from FC 25: everything runs more smoothly, especially dribbling, tackling, and heading. Otherwise, little has changed: Ultimate Team still overwhelms you with challenges and rewards. Career Mode has received a little more attention and is once again worth investing time in. So if you ask us whether FC 26 is different enough from its older siblings to justify spending $70 on it, for the first time in years we say: yes, we think it is.
-
Sep 28, 2025EA SPORTS FC 26 is a fantastic football package. Not only is this the best the franchise has looked in years, its nuanced yet worthwhile gameplay improvements keep every match fresh and exciting.
-
Sep 26, 2025EA Sports FC 26 arrives at the event as the latest, richly detailed installment in one of the most successful video game franchises. It's unlikely to dissuade critics, but it will offer fans a whole host of changes and tweaks derived directly from community feedback. Furthermore, the two new gameplay settings could make the experience accessible to those less accustomed to the frenetic gameplay fans have come to know, while the additions to the already impressive content plan should ensure everyone has something to enjoy. On the other hand, it's also an installment with many added qualities in terms of attacking play, but it has a few defensive difficulties that will need to be addressed soon to ensure the most exciting and entertaining experience possible for the general public.
-
Sep 26, 2025With two different styles of gameplay, FC 26 is equipped to satisfy players with different desires, making it one of the most important efforts in the series in recent years, even if a strong sense of continuity remains.
-
Sep 26, 2025FC 26 shakes off its laziness and pumps some blood into the veins of virtual soccer, putting gameplay back in the spotlight: more credible, more human, with enough heart to move PES nostalgics. The archetypes finally give the players soul, and the career modes regain depth. Of course, it's not all gold: there are flaws, licenses are lacking, cutscenes remain stiff, and there are many microtransactions. FC 26 doesn't revolutionize, but it respects those who play it. It's a step forward, not a quantum leap, and in today's digital soccer world, that's already a lot.
-
Sep 26, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is truly a game of two halves. The defending doesn't feel nearly as good as attacking, but that's a worthwhile trade off if it remains as fun as it is right now, once updates and balancing changes have been made.
-
Sep 26, 2025You won't find any major changes or new additions to modes in EA Sports FC 26, but what you will find is gameplay that's improved across the board. On top of that, you have presets which allow you to choose between a more competitive or authentic experience, though the latter's unfortunately not available in online modes.
-
Sep 26, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is the best the series has been in years, thanks to a host of gameplay changes that deliver Ballon d’Or-worthy football. Like Arteta’s Arsenal, you could accuse it of lacking ambition with some modes in need of an overhaul, but it proves that stability off the pitch brings success on it.
-
Sep 25, 2025It promised and has delivered, at least to a certain extent, and has managed to sneak its way into becoming our favorite soccer game of recent seasons. If you play every year, you'll notice the differences, with special mention going to its two different gameplay options.
-
Sep 25, 2025FC 26 remains a strong package, despite its deliberate choice to abandon authenticity in the online space. There are still numerous gamers out there who crave realism, even in competitive matches. Yet while this represents a step backwards for real football, it’s unquestionably a stride forwards in the field of fan service. This is not the sim Pro Evo purists have longed for – but as an esports collaborative between the developer and its community, Fifa’s third follow-up achieves the majority of its aims.
-
Sep 24, 2025EA SPORTS FC 26 is extremely fun to play and you don't have to be a fan of the sport to enjoy it. The changes to the gameplay from community feedback not only add variety, but provide some of the best results in the series. While there's slight AI logic issues, the responsiveness of the gameplay plus the option to slow it down with Authentic Gameplay shows just how well the strategy element works. Besides some touchups on the game modes, there really isn't anything new here, but there's still an abundant amount of ways to play. Clubs Rush is still fantastic to play and the game remains beautiful and authentic. The presentation elements bring out the greatness that drives this sport. The portion off the field just feels too familiar.
-
Sep 24, 2025Two distinct gameplay styles see EA instil genuine change. Manager mode is great, and many areas of Ultimate Team are improved too, with attacking gamers rewarded in particular. EA Sports FC 26 serves up all the teams, all the kits, all the players – and all the goals, all the time.
-
Sep 23, 2025EA Sports refines its football formula with smarter AI, a new authentic gameplay mode, and numerous small improvements that make matches more realistic and enjoyable, though the visuals remain almost identical to last year’s game and monetization continues to be excessive.
-
Sep 22, 2025There is plenty to enjoy in EA Sports FC 26 for soccer fans of all backgrounds, creating a truly excellent experience. Minor changes going forward will only help turn a very good game into something special.
-
Sep 22, 2025EA Sports FC 26 refines the formula with Authentic mode and better defending, making it a strong entry for fans. Still, it’s an iterative release with limited appeal for newcomers or those seeking major changes.
-
Sep 19, 2025One year after an episode that attracted a great deal of criticism, EA FC is back with a new version that serves as an apology and a gesture of reconciliation with the players. The result is a more beautiful and immersive game designed to please everyone and frustrate as few players as possible. While the changes made are not revolutionary, they are necessary and provide a much better overall understanding of the game. If it deserves to be judged on its merits, EA FC 26 certainly deserves to be played this year.
-
Sep 19, 2025The yearly nature of EA Sports FC typically gets in the way of selling new copies because of just how similar the versions are. FC 26 bucks that trend by giving the single-player side of things the love it had been badly craving for years. Without the shadow of multiplayer balancing looming over things, you have gameplay that is likely to stay the same until FC 27 inevitably comes along. I've been having a blast with the current implementation, and was quick to uninstall FC 25 after a single match. If you like to play it slow, pass around, and fist-pump after tight wins, this is the football game for you.
-
Sep 26, 2025EA Sports FC 26 manages to offer fresh, varied gameplay with a wide range of options for all types of players. It is the most polished instalment in this regard since the series stopped being called FIFA. However, the lack of new features in its game modes means that the leap to the game can be questioned much more.
-
Sep 30, 2025EA Sports FC 26 has a distinct DNA. Action and spectacle are deeply ingrained in it. Even in authentic mode, almost every goal is a slam dunk, and rarely do we see ugly, scrappy goals that even a self-respecting striker would dare cheer. But that's FC. If you accept that, or even appreciate it, FC 26 is a very complete and diverse package.
-
Nov 5, 2025When EAFC26 clicks into gear it really feels like the most authentic, exhilarating title in the long running franchise for quite some time. Brilliant modes and great improvements to gameplay help push this series to new heights. Beautiful visuals and an infectious soundtrack seal this as the best title in years for the franchise. It’s just a real shame that EA have to infect this beloved series with shameful and disgusting microtransactions and a truly pathetic season pass. Nerfing rewards, throttling prices and some inconsistencies with the AI stop this from being an instant classic. EA, you’re slowly getting on the right track again, don’t mess this up.
-
Oct 23, 2025FC 26 is fine for a while, but the longer I played, the more I became annoyed with the control scheme. The AI was a big fun killing factor, and no matter how many times I changed the game's difficulty, it never got better. Still, I had fun with a few of the game modes and love the training games.
-
Sep 29, 2025Newest release in the iconic franchise, EA Sports FC 26 has arrived with few improvements and no innovations. While it remains essentially fun, with many game modes and good gameplay, the game suffers from its dated production and lack of significant changes. Competitive online modes, in particular, remain greedy, albeit with some improvements. In the end, this is a good choice for soccer fans who are familiar with the series or who have been away for a long time and want to get back on the field.
-
Sep 26, 2025Ultimately, EA Sports FC 26 is still a more interesting version than its predecessor, with a large number of teams, substantial content, and increasingly comprehensive gameplay thanks to its separation into two distinct styles. Of course, it's far from perfect, and this is evident in a number of areas, such as optimization, particularly on PC, and the various bugs that can be encountered during games. So, is it worth the price? It's hard to say, because if you're a soccer fan, you'll have plenty to keep you busy in single-player and online modes, but if you want to discover a game series based on this sport, you might want to wait for a future installment.
-
Sep 22, 2025EA Sports FC 26 is a fine entry to the annual football title from EA, featuring responsive gameplay and in-depth menus, but it’s not necessarily enough to make everyone happy.

Sep 22, 2025EA Sports has good intentions with FC 26, based on the most repeated criticisms from the community in recent years. While everything is heading in the right direction in offline modes, beyond needing a few tweaks, Ultimate Team is doing the same with issues such as the progression curve, but it remains a tremendously demanding experience for the player. On the field, the sensations are very positive, with Hypermotion V already seeming to be well-oiled. [Recommended]
