This used to be a decent game, not without its problems, but decent. Now, they've removed the game. You start at max level so all that's left is "endgame" and I've yet to see any game that has an endgame worth messing with. There's just nothing left to do and no point.

Boring garbage. Another uninspired slog of a destiny expansion. Cant believe people still play this crap.

The underlying changes to the game for this expansion ruined my play through. Bungie again ships changes that devastate player builds and invalidate their investment. I am very disappointed. The game feels emptier than ever. Most of the good stuff is free anyways (void 3.0, gambit remodel, strike rotation). I don't feel the urge to explore the throne world. The campaine is probably worth it but I do not like the story anyways. After all it's up to you if you want to support them. The new weapons are simply not worth a look.
To me it feels like it would

To me it feels like it would have been enough to play the season pass through regular activities.

"Best Campaign ever for Destiny 2!" cried all the media shills. The campaign is awful thus far. I can't progress because I'm under leveled (for the campaign! Lol wtf) but from what I've seen its just more of the same. Game is larger but not without costs as detail pops in mere feet away from the player.

The levels are bland and lifeless and the Hive "city" (whatever its called) is just a bunch of random assets and blocky surfaces to break up the arena the game dumps you into. Shoot enemies, wave defense, point defense, BORING.

There's still a quest from over a year ago I can't finish because you have to fight on an elevator, with waves of trash mobs and invincible enemies that never reload or relent. I guess it needs a full team and no one I know still plays this dreck.

The narrative is an absolute dumpster fire "They have the light, not like your light, you must take their light and make them lightless in the psychic warfare of the ascendant plain where the worm-god cannot eat the carrots of the Slavduhn ritual shooty McDerp" Lol WTF is going on?

It took a year of me not playing this game to forget why I hated it. Bungie once made great games, but that is clearly in the past. The Witch Queen is awful.

Can we trade Xbox players Bungie for Bethesda? Bungie is making Bugthesda games look good.

Do. Not. Buy. Bungie. Products. The only developer that can even compete with Bungie in its selfish greed is EA. Boycott Bungie. Also, you're not buying this DLC, you're renting it. It's going to get vaulted too, just like everything else. You are paying Bungie to rent some Destiny 2 content, hope you feel good about that, I don't.

Compared to Lightfall, it is better, but it is still not worth it. Maybe it is not bad for playing once, but it is not suitable for service-oriented and repetitive games.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expands, improves, and refines everything that already works extremely well, proving that this game as a service is still far from exhaustion. Moreover, it offers an engaging new journey, important revelations, and a turning point that only builds on promise for what lies ahead.
  2. I’m admittedly still a bit lost when it comes to how all of the upgrade systems, subclasses, and secondary objectives and tasks work. And I’m sad that — as usual — I’ll miss out on the new raid mission for lack of being able to schedule a big team of friends to get together for multi-hour play sessions. But perhaps this is just the cost of doing business as a casual Destiny player.

More than a collection of new gear, The Witch Queen is a significant moment for the story – and, to a lesser extent, the mechanics – of Destiny. [Issue#13, p.80]
