Jan 5, 2026Crypt Custodian is a great game. It’s story is simple but defined by love, loss and resolve. The exploration along with the excellent music, made it such a comfortable experience. Then there is enjoyable combat and great boss encounters, with plenty of items & upgrades to build out your character Pluto. While there is map overuse, whether you play this for 15 hrs or 40, you should have a great time with this.

In this top-down world, we have a sprawling interconnected map, exciting boss fights, over 100 collectibles to find, and a simple but captivating story. On top of that, Pluto's adventure in the afterlife is an example to be followed in terms of quality of life features that value the player's experience.

A chill soundtrack enhances the laidback and friendly tone kickstarted by the visuals and general gameplay direction, making Cyrpt Custodian a relaxing experience just as much as it is an entertaining one — an impressively accomplished game all in all.
