    Personally, I didn't like Cold War. It was boring, and it lacked innovation. I see a lot of people saying the same thing about Vanguard, but I disagree. For starters, I love how you can choose your combat pacing. For those unaware, Vanguard has a setting where you can choose how many people you want in your games. This brings the life back to Vanguard. If you're playing tactical(thePersonally, I didn't like Cold War. It was boring, and it lacked innovation. I see a lot of people saying the same thing about Vanguard, but I disagree. For starters, I love how you can choose your combat pacing. For those unaware, Vanguard has a setting where you can choose how many people you want in your games. This brings the life back to Vanguard. If you're playing tactical(the slowest paced setting) and you're getting bored, you can always switch to assault(medium-paced) or blitz(fast-paced). This helps the game from becoming stale and boring like Cold War. Also, this is one of the first times in a COD where the amount of players in a certain map varies from map to map. This is definitely a step in the right direction because I never liked how huge maps like Euphrates Bridge would have the same amount of players as Shipment or Shoot House. It just didn't make sense, and I'm surprised it took Activision this long to fix this. Well, at least they did fix it, and the game is much better for it. Also, I'm really enjoying how guns can hold 10 attachments as opposed to the traditional 5. It allows for much more customization, and I'm here for that. As for the graphics, they are incredible. Especially people's faces. They look real. I find myself staring into these characters' faces for hours at a time, trying to find something that doesn't look real, but there's nothing. Don't ask me about Zombies. It sucks ass, but that's not what this review is about. Some dev at Activision took CW's Zombies and pasted it into Vanguard. If you want Zombies, PLEASE don't buy this game. The Campaign? Eh. Nothing much to say about it. More of the same. Too short. I buy COD for MP, so this review is mainly about Vanguard's MP.… Expand

    like 70% of the negative reviews are just negative reviews with no actual basis as to why it's negative.

    the game is fun, i enjoy it alot. The gunsmith is weird but fun, to see how you can change guns into monstrosities. I think most of the people that leave the negative reviews are just bad at the game smh.

    First of all I’m not a fan of the franchise, I played almost any Cod and Battlefield.

    I don’ t understand why people review a MULTIPLAYER game based of the campaign…who gives a **** for campaign?! To give 1 or 2 based on that is childish.

    The game is fine…some bugs and that s it. It is not unplayeable…it s fun…just like any cod…a lot s of maps at launch, guns, etc…

    I personally didn't like cod cold war, it was buggy and boring, but Vanguard actually feels nice. Fun and long single player campaign, beautiful graphics, lots of stuff to do. I'm surprised.

    Honestly, I expected worse this game is not as good as CoD MW:2 or any of those games but in recent years it's been a bit better than other games. CoD MW: 2019 is still the best CoD since CoD Black Ops 2. so I'm comparing it mainly to CoD MW: 2019.

    The best thing about this game is that it’s playable. Trash story, garbage zombies and a bad MP. Oh and also infinite micro transactions. I don’t care that this is an alternate reality of WWII, this is insulting and embarrassing. Activision please die already and give everything up to Microsoft.

    SBMM im Public Multiplayer und Grafikfehler trüben den Spielspaß. Der Shop scheint im Vordergrund zu stehen. Einige Charaktere sind nur käuflich freischaltbar. Absolut Frech.
    Story ist absolut okay. Zombiemodus hat neuen Content bekommen und kann zwischendurch echt Spaß machen, wenn der Multiplayer mal wieder zu sehr die Laune versaut.

    I've been a Call Of Duty fan since the games first came out, and will probably always be one. My biggest complaint with most installments is that the campaign mode is unbelievably short. It seems like the only real point of even getting a COD game anymore is for online multiplayer.     Its typical COD gameplay, nothing rly new, historical accuracy is below 0, amount of propaganda and political correctness is overwhelming and really hurts so I don't know what was the point in making this game the way it is. Got it on sale and im glad i didn't paid full price, not worth it. Even on sale i think i overpaid.

    Even when COD is same every year they managed to make worst COD ever! Bad visibility make game campery only, terrible spawn points and pointless kill streak spamming make this game really annoying. Adding forgetable campaign and bad instance of zombies make it even worse :(

    Very disappointing COD, just a load of bad decisions. I'm here for multiplayer & it's not fun at all. Endless fire & kill streaks that you can't see the enemy, you have to rely on the name tag (including the fact that the enemy may look exactly like your teammates.
    Maybe it'll improve 6 months from release date, but at this time I regret the purchase.

    Modern Warfare series is always a surprise. WW2 was really good. But this game is a rorced cod part. There is 1 or 2 good moments in the campaign. The Zombie mode is the most boring part from the cod zombies series. Multiplayer is a beginner level multiplayer. And the graphics is as good as Black Ops on PS3. I swear it!

    Hier gibt es nichts viel zu der Kampagne zu sagen. Wie immer kurzweilig, aber gut inszeniert, actionreich und spaßig.

    Immer spielenswert.

    Multiplayer zocke ich auch. Macht echt Spaß. Spiele nur den Hardcore-Modus mit Kumpels und fetzt.

Vnguard sets out to tell a story of war heroes during world war 2, similar to the battlefield 1 campaign, youll go through each characters stories and it isn’t all just run and gun, there are some amazingly immersive moments here, great stealth sections through a forest, a section where youre a sniper, there are horror like moments keeping you on your toes as you go through buildings, did I love the characters themselves? Not so much, none were memorable to me, but I do appreciate the attempt to flesh them out, to create a series that players can look forward to.. the campaign again isn’t the best, but I did appreciate the effort here.. I appreciate the variety how each of thse 6 hours felt different…
    And onto the multiplayer, first off, lets just skip over zombies, I don’t like zombis I never have and Ive heard this year is the worst yet, si I hopped right into multiplayer.. The multiplayer this time is pretty bare bones, but hey.. I actually like that.. I like the simplicity of pick a load out, use that gun to level it up, go through the typial team deathc match, capture the flag, search and destroy modes.. however the gunplay just isn’t fun for me this year, the maps are pretty bland as well.. I did have an enjoyable few hours with multiplayer but after a weekend of play times, there wasn’t enough to hook me in like past titles have..
    Call of Duty anguard is a great call of duty game..
    Will it quickly b forgotten the moment the next shiny multplayer shows up? Yes, this will not be a staple in your multiplayer collection, but for the time I spent with it, its pretty solid, especially the single player campaign,

The game's extremely buggy, has one of the worst zombies modes in the entire series, poor characters, and a bad story in general that seemed to be very political with character choices. This one only lasted for 5 hours which is a shame, but the game still had its moments for the multiplayer mode and warzone.....     El juego se ve y se siente bien pero dista mucho de mejorar o siquiera llegar al nivel de otros COD ( y ya es decir en algunos casos) La campaña es muy corta, se que nadie juega un CODF por la campaña, pero nadie lo hace porque el jugador no lo exige y se conforma. Los mapas almenos por ahora del multi son un poco roñosos. Mejorará con el tiempo pero no deja de ser un lanzamiento un pocoEl juego se ve y se siente bien pero dista mucho de mejorar o siquiera llegar al nivel de otros COD ( y ya es decir en algunos casos) La campaña es muy corta, se que nadie juega un CODF por la campaña, pero nadie lo hace porque el jugador no lo exige y se conforma.     Story is bad, really bad. The first scene is ridicoulous, so stupid it's hard to believe.
    It's an up and down between good moment and bad ones. Ultimatly the bad ones wins after all.

Take a bow sledgehammer you've somehow managed to dethrone advanced warfare as the worst game in the series. You were already at the bottom of the barrel and yet you figured out a way to add a sub basement.     Please never let Sam Maggs write another video game script again. The campaign features some of the most awful writing I’ve heard in my life. “I shoot Nazis. They die. That’s my plan.” The story treats the audience like they’re incredibly dumb and results in an unsatisfying climax. The characters are boring and aren’t even memorable too. But despite stupid "teenagers behaviors" at the beginning, after some time game was pretty enjoyable . Mission in Petersburg was very good! Graphics isn't bad but sometimest's really rough, definitely uneven. There were also occasionally crushes.First mission is one of the worst missions in all of CoD games...     The game is very bad. The weapon balance is worse and the mapdesign terrible. It's like the same game every year. But why? I think they want the game to be beginner friendly. But with sbmm, hm. i don't think that they can patch the game the way that is shoult be.

    Empty matches, horrible respawn system, a lot of graphic glitches and low resolution textures. The gunplay is terrible broken. They need to fix this game soon or I will drop it and get back to Cold War.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'll be honest, I'm tempted to give this an 8. Unfortunately, zombies is just that bad that it drags the whole game down. I'll start with what I like about this game: the story and multiplayer. So, the multiplayer is basically the same as MW 2019, but cod has done this before. Just look at BO1 and MW2. BO1 completely copied MW2's killstreak system and its gun system. Why people like it is because it expanded upon multiplayer with alternate modes. The point is, even the best cods have taken elements from each other, and MW 2019 is loved by casuals, which is cod's target audience. That is what cod has always been: an arcade shooter for casual gamers. The campaign, while short, delivers a fantastic story with a jaw dropping ending. Seriously, now all the new games are going to be inner connected now that Project Aether is in Vanguard, which means Vanguard is canon to CW and since Zakheav is in CW that means MW 2019 is canon to Vanguard. I have a feeling that all the cod games are going to follow suit and become sequels and prequels to each other rather than just in their own separate universes. Okay, now that the good is done, let's move onto why this game is a 7: zombies. Vanguard Zombies is so terrible, so bad, that I would rather play through all of Ghosts' campaign than play another second of that.… Expand

    A mediocre game. Not as bad as Cold War, still not good however. It is quite literally a lazy copy of MW2019. Maps are the only redeeming quality and even then they are not of the best quality. Zombies got better over time but the game, overall, is the definition of mid.

Still didn’t get the game, as I didn’t fall for that, so I tried the free weekend trial and omg this games is trash, as expected. First off the maps are garbage and trying to implement blitz mode was the worst idea possible as it just causes more spawn issues than the game already has on normal pacing. The guns are broken and can easily take out anyone and even the gun you get at the first level can be the most powerful gun in the game. On top of all this the weapons are like black ops 4 mixed in with world war 2 and mixing futuristic with old doesn't work because the gun balance is extremely shifted to the laser beam weapons.     Guns are so damn bad to use, especially on first levels: you always need to fully level it up to unlock attachments that make them viable. Until last level they are garbage or almost.
    Shipment is now on a crippled version on TWO DIFFERENT LAYERS, never seen anything so dumb in my life before (in last years any old map ported to new CoD games has been ruined).
    I could go on, but I'm so sick of this game that I stop here.

    This game has sense only if played to unlock/level up guns for Warzone.
    Most of the time, not even that way.

    Save your money, buy anything else.

    The destroyable walls are the worst thing after SBMM. Useless.
    Weapons have more options then use. Unplayable. I would give one point cause it looks good, but sadly Activision is full of sex offender (hope thats the englisch werden) so thats 0 points

Previous COD’s gave you a good 15-30 seconds to get into position before running into an enemy but Vanguard decided that the player needed to jump into the action right away, whether they are ready or not. It’s just awful.

    Many of the weapons are currently broken. Meanwhile, the “sweats” all use the same load out and attachments and why not? You won’t have much luck getting kills in this game unless you use the STG44, MP40, Or the Type 100. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long before we get some weapon buff/nerf patches to even things out. The new “blitz” game mode is exactly as advertised… sheer chaos. With the game already suffering when it comes to fair spawn locations, adding smaller maps and larger teams just make the game even more frustrating. A lot of players have resorted to camping and head glitching to get ahead in this game. Of course, nothing new in the COD universe but as I said before, coupled with the many bugs, glitches and poor game mechanics, it’s a recipe for disaster. There are some good aspects of the game however… the weapon customization is decent. The graphics are gorgeous as always and the game is nicely optimized for PC players. When it comes to Vanguard however, the cons heavily outweigh the pros. I’m optimistic about what the future can hold for Vanguard but the devs really need to buckle down and fix a lot of the flaws this game has.    … Expand

    Played pretty much every cod and this is the only one I requested a refund on and got, which demonstrates how bad it is. I found the maps to be rather boring and ill thought out and the game just didn’t feel or play like a COD game should. So honestly save your money and continue to play MW and black ops and give this junk a miss. I just hope they don’t mess up on the up comming MW2. I would rather a cod released every 3 years and it play great with quality maps then rushing for a yearly game which is just insulting and irritating to play and clearly a cash grab I only have given it 2 out of 10 as graphically it looks nice on the Series X but that’s as far as it goes on positive points… Expand

    It has been a long time since I played a CoD game. The story is fine but the length of it is short. I tried the Zombie part as well. I believe that it would be much more fun if you play with a friend when you want to play this mode.

    Call of Duty: Vanguard is a great Call of Duty entry with absolutely stellar ser pieces, fantastic visuals, and plenty of modes surrounding an excellently fun campaign. The only downsides are the muddied stories… not to mention what is happening in the company that published it. Highly recommended for CoD fans and people looking for a bit of mindless fun set in WW2.

    Even though the campaign is extremely predictable and the multiplayer is plagued with tones of issues, Call Of Duty: Vanguard is, after all, still a Call of Duty title, and will appeal to all hardcore Call of Duty fans.
