Using creative solutions and a bunch of tools, you scan and catalogue the islands strange Bugsnax. Find what they like and figure out how you can lure them into your traps.     Truly a hidden gem of early PS5 years. Had this game as a PS+ game, and only after I finally got PS5, Bugsnax was the second game I've played on it, and I loved it so much, that I can't even find the right words to describe how fun it is.

    I came into the game with an expectation that this was this generation's Knack, but I was honestly surprised. It's a nice relaxing game obviously marketed towards kids, but the characters are endearing to me and keeps me interested in the story. The mechanic of catching bugsnax is a bit janky, but for the most part, not bad. Also, the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters and couples, withoutI came into the game with an expectation that this was this generation's Knack, but I was honestly surprised. It's a nice relaxing game obviously marketed towards kids, but the characters are endearing to me and keeps me interested in the story.     This can be a fun game to play-there is ~10 hours of gameplay here. The characters and music are fantastic-the story is also interesting with quite a few side quests to experience. Gameplay is fairly simple, but there are various tools for the player to use throughout the game which offer some variation.     O jogo na minha visão, vai além de capturar "animais". A mensagem que eles desejam passar é clara e muito tocante. A forma como eles desenharam a história e a forma de superar os desafios é viciante, você quer cada vez mais entender o que aconteceu na ilha e seus personagens. Vale a pena jogar.

    Puede que de primeras no te pinte bien, y evidentemente no es para tomárselo demasiado en serio, pero si te adentras en el descubrirás y te sorprenderá un bastante buen juego para echar el rato capturando con divertidos puzzles y una trama de lo más alocada que nadie era capaz de imaginar. Merece la absoluta pena.

Las tramas secundarias molan mucho (cosa que me apena porque puedes pasarte el juego sin jugarlas), sobre todo el desarrollo de los personajes y los chismes que hay entre ellos, los diálogos son buenísimos y tiene ciertos easter eggs bastante interesantes.
    · Cosas malas: tiene bastantes aspectos mejorables, técnicamente no es una maravilla y no explota demasiado la PS5.

    I did not have high expectations for Bugsnax but ended up liking it very much. It is a silly story-driven creature-collector with great characters and voice acting. The story is good in my opinion, manages to keep most of its mystery until the very end.

    There is not much to hate about Bugsnax, There's nothing that's really offensive about it. It's just a Pokemon-esk game with some good characters and some annoying ones. It's good, I enjoyed it. I will say that this is a good free game (PS Plus), I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it but it's a damn good game.

It's very simple to play and quick to complete the game - but it does have a few "trickier" parts, for side objectives (where you'll have to think a bit, to catch some of the Bugs). The characters are fun, but the voice acting is a bit over the top, at times. Still, it's not bad enough to make you skip voice clips. Recomendable totalmente hacer todo al 100% y descubrie los secretos ocultos para ver el final completo, ya que me ha parecido de lo mejor del juego. A nivel técnico no presenta errores ni problemas de rendimiento. Lo mejor, sus personajes e historia, con un final realmente original. Lo peor, algunas de las misiones secundarias y retos pueden hacerse un poco pesadas por el tiempo qie requerirán para completarlas.     (8) Very Good. Innovated, but perhaps not in the right choice for everyone. This score indicates that there are many good things to be had, but arguable so.

    An unique take. Definitely feels like a kids game while playing but has adult stuff within the story. The ending has a cool twist that will have you talking to your other friends that played the game. Reminds me of pokemon snap with a lot more gameplay.     - Interesting cast of characters and excellent voice acting. Even the Bugsnax are voiced quite nicely!
    - Catchy music for areas. - Plot got turned upside down towards the end. A very good twist that doesn't feel forced. Great ending for the game. - Good inclusion of LGBT characters that also doesn't feel forced. Not huge for me personally but appreciate for others this may be    Pros:

    - Catching Bugsnax can get boring and repetitive as you get further into the game.

    Overall, I do recommend the game but if you're going for 100% completion, such as for trophy hunting, then this will require some effort and commitment.    … Expand

    Bugsnax is a good relaxing game.It is more like a Pokemon style game(you gotta catch them all).I liked the gameplay and story.The only things i didn't like is there is obvious LGBTQ implementation in the game,which is not good if small kids are playing.

    Quirky and cute with a surprisingly interesting story and characters. The core gameplay is serviceable, but lacks in variety. Many of the Bugsnax can be caught in very similar ways, leading to little challenge once you figure out all of the game's main tactics. Considering that it's free, it's still an easy recommendation for PS+ owners.

    El juego es bastante original, los "puzzles" son muy entretenidos. Pero falta profundidad, y podrían haber aprovechado más la potencia de la consola, sin pantallas de cargas o escenarios más potente.

    Fun game but it can get a little repetitive. Scanning the bugs and taking pictures is fun. The characters and story are interesting though, but I kind of got tired of catching bugs. Highly recommended though if you're looking for an easy going game.

Widely accessible game as there's no life/health system but makes it more enjoyable and relaxing whenever there's a difficult sequence. Surprising amount of diversity in this game wasn't expecting 4 characters to be LGBTQ+. A surprise to be sure but a welcome one. ReallyA nice fun and easy game to get into. Ребенка может увлечь, для детей в принципе пойдет. Платина легкая, прошел за 34 часа (это скорее всего с паузами и простоем, на самом деле выбивается быстрее).Очень простая игра с незамысловатым сюжетом. Обычная графика, ничего выдающегося. Есть элементы головоломки, некоторых нямок надо еще подумать как поймать. Ребенка может увлечь, для детей в принципе пойдет.     I didnt understand the hype on release and I dont get it now. I platinumed the game with a bit of pause and a guide for cleanup in around 13hrs. The mechanics are nice but nothing too fancy. The game itself feels very bland in my opinion. A younger audience might like this a lot. The story felt boring and the ending is somewhat horrible (even with the good ending).

    At first it seems really psychedelic, but then it gets stuck between a kid's game and something for adults. While wanting to be both of those, it becomes neither. And there's too much f***ing propaganda in video games now, as well.

    Has the "gotta catch em all" appeal for the first couple of hours, then becomes quite repetitive. My favourite part was changing the Grumpus' body parts to see the different designs. Storyline was quite interesting considering this comes across as a children's game at first glance. Would not have bought this game if it wasn't free on PS Plus, but can appreciate it for what it is.

    Bugsnax is essentially a Pokemon Snap type game. You go around photographing (scanning) Bugsnax to find out their behavior, likes and dislikes. There's a loose story of someone going missing that you need to track down, but the characters are so shallo and the plot so thin it's really not a driver to continue the game.

    Once oyu start meeting enough people, new parts of the world unlock, and new bugsnax become available to find. I decided to play it properly and scan and capture all the bugsnax as there's only 100 total.

    There's also clues around to find to progress through the story, but there's only a handful of them as they require little effort to find.
    The game is fairly simplistic and repetitive, however, once you embrace it as a walking simulator and start fulfilling the side quests it's easy to get absorbed in things.

    I do wish there was more to the game though, the characters are so incredibly shallow, and it became obvious the plot was basically only going to matter right at the end, which means throughout playing the game, there's just the snugsnax to scan and capture and a fairly small world to explore.

    However it's easy to just zone out and wlak around scanning and capturing the bugsnax without needing lots of story going on to bribe you. Some of the bugsnax are quite tricky to catch and involve using multipl types of trap together to successful catch them.

    I do wonder who this game was designed for though. As per the memes this game is so chidlish and silly than few adults would be tempted by this. But then when you play it you find the story gets pretty dark and gruesome, and paired with some some tough main quests, I can't see many children getting through this.

    I'm glad I played it though, it was an experience unlike many other (only thing similar is pokemon snap), but I'm glad I got it for free, as there's no way I could justify paying money on a game like this, and I can' see myself recommending this game to anyone either.

    I guess the moral of the story is don't trust the memes, like with Knack (which is a far superior game) sometimes you need to try things for yourself to find out if they're orth buying or not.
    This is why finding and buying games decades ago as so much easier. You could download demos and buy the full game if you liked the demo.    … Expand

    Its a boring game, but at least its short to complete and I played it for "free" with PS plus. I give a 5 because I think developers put a lot of love and charisma on this game.

    Certainly unique, but absolutely RIDDLED with bugs and glitches, even months after launch. Expect to see NPCs suddenly "vanish" and need to repeat certain side-quests. Also disappointing to see the world split up into TINY 'levels' which long loading times between each - not what I'd expect from a PS5 game.

    Very meh game. It was fun at the start but got extremely repetitive soon after. There's nothing next gen about the game apart from the triggers, but not even that will save it. I ended up deleting the game after a few hours of play as I was too bored of it, so glad it was a free PSN game and I didn't buy it.

I feel it would be good to teach your kids the basics of gaming (controls could be easier) . I imagine younger children would find it pretty enjoyable. In my opinion it could be improved with the messages being read out as well, to assist smaller children with theirLoaded up this game not expecting much, A fun game for the little ones.     I allowed my niece to play this game for 30 minutes since it was rated E, but then the game started with the homosexual agenda brainwashing. Got a refund right away, looked further into it. This is not a game for kids. There is even a scene where a character tries to commit suicide.

    bad level design (lots of loading screens for very small levels) poor graphic quality (mobile device / PS3 level maybe, definitely not next PS5) weak story and characters average gameplay mechanics tries to hard to be funny and fails miserably at times could very well have been a mobile game for kids age up to 3 doesn't deserve the current score of 75    tldr kids game, very meh

    The 3d engine used pinches the corners of the screen when turning which personally leaves me with motion sickness. An FOV increase made the game look completely offscale.     Weird game. It's very easy, repetitive, and awkward as an adult, yet it's also quite inappropriate for kids. Just feels like a boring game that only became popular because of memes because of its weirdness, but the game itself is not worth playing, even for free.

    Low effort games for kids. Kids that are really bored and to poor to afford Sack Boy.. Most of tbe games is listening to moronic stories from the irritating isand people working out some of the easiest pointless puzzles even put into a game.. The theme song is catchy though a 5 forthat.

    the graphics. you know this is what it's really all about. this game has the best graphics since ballz 3d and that's saying something, ok? the only game in our generation that can stand up to this is probably pooplers 3d.

Wanted it to be about the bugs not playing couples therapy for literally 3 couples. Completely was killing my motivation to play it with how frequent it was. Game was really buggy and not in a good way. Things weren't aiming right or enemies just vanishing. Some when I tried catching them completely crashed the game. The biggest challenge of the game was just trying to work around the bugs and messy gameplay.… Expand

    It’s just a shame that the core gameplay here is so dull. Everything else in Bugsnax would make it a strong GOTY contender, but the sheer repetitiveness of the game’s main task drags it all down. Still, given how high the rest of the game flies, there’s only so far down it can go — and as it stands, that still means you’re left with one heck of a game.

    Bugsnax leans heavily on the unique nature of its titular creatures, and it succeeds by doing so. They’re cute, they’re creepy, and their existence makes no logical sense whatsoever. Armed with a bit of design this indelible, the developers could have phoned in the rest and raked in the merchandising money. Instead, they fully committed to delivering a narrative worthy of the creatures starring in it. It was a risky choice, but it was also a daring and clever one, and that’s exactly what it wants to be.
