    As a tech demo, I really enjoy this game. It was an amazing journey with all things Sony PlayStation-related. When I tried, I didn't have any expectations, but he gave me an amazing vibe.

    Most people wont play this because its a 4 hour tech demo but man is it a blast. Fun hidden easter eggs everywhere that truly showcases the capabiilities of the ps5 and its controller

    Great tech demo of PS5. Atmosphere, music, Playstation laboratory, gameplay variability are awesome. The game excellent demonstrates all features of the new gamepad. Maybe the only strange thing is that reflections work only for thing near 1 meter from reflecting surface. And also, no RTX used in this game, but PS5 supports it and it's strange.

    Half cute 3D collectathon platformer, half celebration of PlayStation's sprawling and vast history, Astro's Playroom is an adorable and impressive look at what the PS5 can do in the right hands. While it's gameplay is simple, it manages to remain interesting through a combination of obstacles and puzzles that seek to not only show off what this new console can do, but also why such things can make the play experience more immersive. In this regard its extremely successful, with some sections having tiny changes that can be massively enjoyable. Along with this, scattered around the levels are collectibles and references galore, paying homage to some of PlayStation's most famous, memorable and beloved characters and games. If you grew up experiencing PlayStation's history, you can make a game out of finding and figuring each reference out, but there will most likely be a few references in this game you'll point and shout gleefully at.

    Despite its short length, Astro's Playroom is a very enjoyable time, and perhaps the thing that might move it up for me would simply be more content. I get this is a tech demo, but were tthere full game like this, I'd happily get it.    … Expand

    All proportion must be well kept and remember that it is a small free game which offers the introduction of the Playstation 5 and in no case the note must be compared with the more classic production. Extremely fun and beautiful, this game is probably the best thing that happened to the release of the PS5. If you are fond of references, this game will bring you a feeling of great nostalgia.

    After finally picking up a PS5, I decided the first PS5 game I was gonna try was this one and honestly, I couldn't be more happy I did because I could tell Team Asobi put their S game into this console showcase and the fact it's free means there's really nothing to complain about since you lose nothing in the process. Aun así lo que más importa en este juego es el mando. El DualSense muestra todo su potencial en este juego y yo nunca había visto nada igual. Uno de los factores que más me han gustado de este juego es sus numerosas referencias a consolas y juegos de PlayStation, realizando un gran homenaje a la historia de la marca. Además, tanto en el apartado técnico como en el artístico cumple a la perfección. La duración es un poco escasa pero para ser un juego gratuito es correcta.     astro's playroom ti fa capire fin da subito le potenzialità della console che abbiamo appena comprato, ritrovandocelo già installato potremo iniziare a giocare fin da subito nel mentre attendiamo le installazioni degli altri giochi. ritrovandoci davanti un titolo di grande valore.
    dal punto di vista ludico non inventa nulla, è un platform abbastanza basilare con alcuni checkpoint non    astro's playroom ti fa capire fin da subito le potenzialità della console che abbiamo appena comprato, ritrovandocelo già installato potremo iniziare a giocare fin da subito nel mentre attendiamo le installazioni degli altri giochi. ritrovandoci davanti un titolo di grande valore.
    dal punto di vista ludico non inventa nulla, è un platform abbastanza basilare con alcuni checkpoint non messi benissimo.
    ma per il resto il titolo fa quello che deve fare, ovvero incominciare a farci vedere tutte le potenzialità de nuovo pad.
    dalla resistenza sui grilletti che ci permetteranno di fare azioni specifiche come aggrapparci ad un muro senza fare troppa pressione per non distruggere la struttura.
    si passa alla vibrazione migliorata, dove sentiremo effettivamente molte cose tra cui i passi del robottino o la pioggia, questo si unisce alla qualità migliorata del altoparlante che trasferirà dei suoni molto migliorati, che renderanno tutte queste sensazioni ancora meglio.
    infine i video che ci aiuteranno a sbloccare i vari trofei, il gioco è disseminato di citazioni dei vari titoli e console che hanno fatto la storia di playstation, e ad esso sono legati anche molti trofei che ci chiederanno di fare determinate azioni, e questo titolo ci fa subito sfruttare questa possibilità non tanto per prendere il trofeo di platino, ma per scoprire tutti i possibili segreti che il gioco nasconde.
    il titolo rimane ovviamente come una sorta di mega demo, quindi risulta limitato in alcuni aspetti come la difficoltà generalmente bassa, ma nel complesso è un titolo che si gioca con grande piacere e che ti fa capire tutte le potenzialità che la next gen potrà offrire

    I really didn't expect to be that amazing.

    When I got my PS5 not too long ago, I had always wanted to play this game. After about 3 and a half hours and one Platinum Trophy, I love this game for using Astro as the tech demo.

Yes, it does make far better use of the DualSense controller than any other PS5 game I've played, but even without the incredibly satisfying haptic feedback and clever use of other features, it's just a fun timeI enjoyed Astro's Playroom far more than I expected I might. It's so much more than a tech demo; it is an outstanding game in and of itself that is absolutely worth your time. Yes, it does make far better use of the DualSense controller than any other PS5 game I've played, but even without the incredibly satisfying haptic feedback and clever use of other features, it's just a fun time overall. This is as close as any Sony game I've played comes to capturing the joy of a 3-D Super Mario title, and in some ways it surpasses Nintendo's best platformers.     I do not understand how it is possible for free basically PS5 test game to be so good. Better than most AAA games which utilizes best new feature from PS5 game pad. When you are on ice you are literally on ice. You have that feeling. Also, the game hits highest nostalgia levels. I hope there will be a sequel.

    A sheer platforming joy, Astro's Playroom would be an amazing game even if it wasn't a free "tech demo" for all PS5 consoles. Great use of the DualSense controller makes for an awe-inspiring experience that I love to let my friends play and have fun with. While brief, the amount of quality content and fun collectibles make this a great title.

Both me and my daughter who was watching me had a massive smile on our face throughout the entire playthrough.

    This is one incredible freebie of a game to include with the PS5 system. Just, whatever you do, don't discount Astro's Playroom as a simple "DualSense feature demo", or you will be doing yourself a great disservice! It's a joy to play, from the moment it begins until the very end, and it will likely make you smile during the entire romp. Do yourself a favor, and give it a play!

    I really enjoyed Astro’s Playroom, it’s not just a fun kids game (quite similar to Little Big Planet) and a tech demo of the new controller (which is awesome) but it’s a lovely homage to all the previous generations of PlayStation consoles and games. It showed me all the features of the new generation while letting me relive all the previous generations that I knew and loved.

    A great and very good experience for my first PS5 game. This game is simply a demonstration of how PS5's DualSense works. Other than that, it's a very good platform game mixed with exploration, innovative gameplay and good summer or winter vibes. The best part of it, it's that it is free!!!

    I played this while waiting to install other Playstation games. I usually play on Xbox Series X, and this game blew my mind. The graphics are really good, I struggle to think of Xbox exclusives that look better. It's also just a really fun cute game, and a perfect way to show players what PS5 and the Dual Sense controller can do. Xbox and Nintendo can learn from this. I'm very happy II played this while waiting to install other Playstation games. I usually play on Xbox Series X, and this game blew my mind.     It's a shame this game was not released stand alone so it could receive the respect it deserves.. It is a _fantastic_ game - colorful, detailed and full of love. The amount of secrets is incredible! Developers outdid themself here, no question about it. No question about it, this is the most exciting, fun and technically advanced "demo" to ever accompany a machine.

It is an actual 3D platformer filled with dozens of PlayStation references and showing off why buying a PS5 was a good idea, both to new players (like me) with the fast loading times and the Dual Sense controller and the OG PlayStation players both with the capabilities of the system AND with a crap ton of references. Every world is based after a part of the PS5 and the very end of every world represents a PlayStation console in some way. Let's say: at the end of Cooling Springs you are in a small area in which the skybox is the PS3 menu. Also spoilers I guess: the final boss is the tech demo from the PS1 that then turns into a green dinosaur. That is mind-blowing. It is too perfect. Like I just said, I wasn't a PlayStation fan before, but I have to appreciate all of the references, both trough game cameos and artifacts. This isn't a very long and difficult game, it will take you 5 hours at most to get the Platinum Trophy, but this is a goddamn techdemo. Even what we have here: 4 worlds and a final bossfight, tons of references, tons of collectables and all of the other trophies. This is an incredible game. Nintendo made us pay 50$ for a crappy joycon tech demo that you would have fun with for about 30 minutes, Meanwhile, Sony gave us an amazing 3D platformer for free and they put a lot of effort and love into it. I hope Astro gets more actual triple A titles in the future. God bless Sony and Team Asobi for bringing us this masterpiece… Expand

The game takes full advantage of the controller's capabilities, from the haptic feedback that makes it feel like raindrops are falling on top of the controller to the adaptive triggers that make all of the gimmicks feel totally unique from one another. But if that wasn't enough, the game is also a complete joy to play through from beginning to end. I had a smile on my face the whole time during my first playthrough, and I'm not even a long-time PlayStation fan! There are only 4 levels (5 if you include the final boss fight), but they are all wonderfully designed, packed to the brim with easter eggs and interactive trophies you can collect, and each represent a part of the PS5 console while also serving as callbacks to each of the previous PlayStation consoles. If you're a long-time PlayStation fan, there will be so much here for you to appreciate with all the callbacks to various games and accessories, but even if you aren't, you can still enjoy this as a great 3D platformer with tight and smooth controls, creative level designs, and plenty of collectibles for 100% completion. I found all of the gimmicks throughout the stages to be a blast to utilize, even the ones that required tilting of the controller to progress, because the new technology of the Dualsense made the gimmicks feel all the more unique and special. (It also helps my case that I grew up with the Wii so I'm more accustomed to motion controls). There are a multitude of trophies spread throughout each level in addition to puzzle pieces that fill up a mural in the PlayStation Labo room, with the trophies on full display in the same room after you collect them. The coins you collect in each level can also be used in a lottery minigame that can get you more trophies or puzzle pieces, and it's a great crash course on all the kinds of PlayStation accessories that have been released throughout the years. There are even speedrunning levels you can play after beating a given stage, and they even feature entirely new level designs to accommodate the faster nature of speedrunning! The only negative thing I have to say about this game is that I felt that the sound design was rather loud at times, and I felt the need to turn the volume down at points due to such, but even that is just a nitpick I have with the game. Astro's Playroom accomplishes what it sets out to do so well that I honestly consider this to be one of the best games to come out in 2020 despite only being 3-4 hours long. If you manage to get your hands on a PS5 at retail price, please do yourself a favor and play this gift of a game.    … Expand

    Man! This isn’t just a wonderful showcase for the haptic feedback, dualsense and adaptive triggers, it’s a sensational game. My only gripe is the god awful music that just repeats and repeats. And, I wish it was much longer. You can platinum this in under 8 hours. I want a full game of this. It’s repost underrated

The graphics are amazing, it runs very smooth and the sound is ok. The world building is phenomenal with the individual parts of the ps5 like the ssd or the gpu.     Fulfils it's purpose as a showcase of the dual sense controller and some. Beautiful graphics, catchy music and fun gameplay. Enjoyed running around each area, finding the bots acting out different Playstation games while searching for collectibles. Very well rounded experience from start to finish.

    Easily one of the greatest games on PS5. It looks amazing and its a simple techdemo for the PS5. My only gripe is that I wish the story was just a bit longer as you can easily finish this in at most, 2 hours. Other than that, this is a 10/10 game and easily one of the greatest games Sony has released.

    With all around fantastic gameplay, graphics, design, and just overall fun, I’d argue that under different circumstances, this could have even been considered a game of the year contender. I never realized just how much the Sony PlayStation had influenced my life until I played this game.
