    A great way to start of the next-gen experience. It's a good platformer and a beautiful way to honor all the PS history while setting of the next edition. There's nothing to complain about, it's a good free game and a 4 hour platinum trophy.

    amazing game, i cannot find any flaws, especially when it is free. for free games usually there are bad parts, but this one just seems perfect, and a great way to show off the ps5

    After more than half a year of waiting, I was eager to get my hands on the PS5, so after plugging in the console, I immediately jumped into Astro's Playroom, which was already pre-installed. I was absolutely amazed! The new DualSense controller really surprised me. So many possible vibrations that I was just amazed. The game is something like 3 hours long and features 4 worlds thatAfter more than half a year of waiting, I was eager to get my hands on the PS5, so after plugging in the console, I immediately jumped into Astro's Playroom, which was already pre-installed. I was absolutely amazed! The new DualSense controller really surprised me. So many possible vibrations that I was just amazed. The game is something like 3 hours long and features 4 worlds that represent some of the earlier PlayStation games. Each world was something special. The levels don't repeat themselves, so you always feel like you're experiencing something new. In each of these levels you will have an experience that introduces you to the features of the new controller. You'll be doing a lot. Shake, blow, touch the touchpad and so on. I don't even want to spoil it for you. Because discovering and figuring out the controller's functions is the main point of the game. Beyond that though, there are some collectibles in the form of puzzles from PS1 to PS4. For me a cool thing, because since the game is short, at least you can extend it somehow by doing this. What I'd also praise is the graphics, which are just nice and every now and then I felt like I was in some animated movie I'm controlling. I also praise the variety of robots. I enjoyed exploring them in many different ways. Most of them have animations when you hit them. It makes the game feel more alive. To sum up. Astro's Playroom is an amazing game that perfectly demonstrates the new features of the DualSense controller. It's pretty, it's great to play and I almost forgot the music, which I found enjoyable and really nice in parts. The only minus of the game remains maybe its length, although it's a fact that I shouldn't think of it as such, but rather as such a welcome to the PS5 console. The only minus, then, is probably the lack of any story. Otherwise, for me, the best jumping game I've played in years. Only time will tell if the developers will fully exploit the potential of DualSense vibes in new games. The question is whether we even want it. A friend of mine has had a PS5 for a while now and has played a few AAA games, and he said that every now and then the haptic response was getting in the way of his gameplay and making it harder to shoot. It's hard to say then. For some, these new features will be an intensification of the experience, for others a hindrance. Fortunately, if they do, the vibration can be turned off in the console settings, so there's nothing to worry about. I don't know myself how this feature will fare in other games. With Astro's Playroom, the vibration didn't bother me in any way. On the contrary, it was key for me and deepened my gaming experience, and Sony have once again shown that they really can and have pushed the boundaries a little further.… Expand

    This is a free game included on the PS5, but it’s a must play for anyone who 1) wants to see what the hype is about for the new Dual Sense controller, or 2) is a PlayStation fan (lots of nostalgia), or 3) likes 3D platforming. Is this up there with something like God of War, no. But it’s a great game that vastly exceeded expectations. And it’s free! It’s not that difficult for a gamer,This is a free game included on the PS5, but it’s a must play for anyone who 1) wants to see what the hype is about for the new Dual Sense controller, or 2) is a PlayStation fan (lots of nostalgia), or 3) likes 3D platforming.     If you are comparing it to other games that are a legit “9”, like Fallout 4 or Spider-Man, Astro is more of an 8, not a true 9. It’s not on their level. The controller is earning part of that score. But it’s free and shouldn’t be missed!    … Expand

    Really fun tech demo of the PS5's features. I love the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers, it really shines in the game and makes it feel next gen. My only gripe would be the game is too short ha!

    The game perfectly shows the potential of the new Dualsense, the different vibrations, audio, triggers, all of them are completely different in the PS5 controller. I’m looking forward to how devs can implement the new functionalities in their games, because I’m sure that if they put effort, the experience qill be awesome!

    This game is a love latter from Playstation to the players. So much fun and so much nostalgia from the playstation brand. I was expecting a good experience but this game still manged to blow my mind. Such a great job from Asobi!

    A fun tech demo that shows the off the duelsense! The platforming is also really fun, but that’s all I could really say about it. I know it’s just a free tech demo and it does everything it needs to do, but I don’t know I feel like it needed a bit more charm to it

    It’s fun but it’s also easy. I don’t see it as a regular game anyways. It’s basically one big nostalgia trip for anyone in their 20s or older with fun little mechanics thrown in. From the controls to the environments and models, the game just looks and feels perfect and whoever programmed the Dualsense controller haptic feedback for this game deserves a raise.

    A perfect game that showcase the new dualsense controller. It was nice to go down memory lane of the history of PlayStation accessories and gaming moments, provided by the Astro Bots. It also had some decent platforming mechanics and it’s a free game.

    The game is a great example of how the controller can be utilised in gaming. I found myself numerous times smiling at what I was 'feeling' happening. It is a charming demo that oozes nostalgia and celebrates what the playstation was and has become. A must play, and a pleasure to play.

Every single option and secret gives you a huge satisfaction (personally I loved the idea for collectibles). It's much more than a showcase demo game. My first platinum trophy on PS5

I played non-stop for 3-4 hours and still keep going back for more with the time trials.     A true Next Gen title which showcases the PS5 controllers ability. Buttery smooth with awesome graphics and gameplay. Only downside is that its too short. There's a bit of replay ability to collect all the artefacts but still over too soon. Otherwise a genuine 10/10 game.

    I do not understand how it is possible for free basically PS5 test game to be so good. Better than most AAA games which utilizes best new feature from PS5 game pad. When you are on ice you are literally on ice. You have that feeling. Also, the game hits highest nostalgia levels. I hope there will be a sequel.

    Please play this game if you haven't already this game is a masterpiece. Every game developer should want to make their game like Astro's Playroom. After playing this game I do not think I will ever enjoy a game as much as this one right here.

    Sin lugar a dudas toda una sorpresa, una demo convertida en videojuego con personalidad, y al que la única pega que le puedo poner es que no dure un poco más para seguir disfrutándolo.

    Cumple a la perfección su cometido, gran acierto el que venga pre-instalado en la consola, destacar el acertado uso de la nostalgia, la cual suele ser el arma de Nintendo, pero no de Sony. Y el    Sin lugar a dudas toda una sorpresa, una demo convertida en videojuego con personalidad, y al que la única pega que le puedo poner es que no dure un poco más para seguir disfrutándolo.

    "Tech demo" is an insult to this gem. This is worthy to be called a game in and of itself. Short but oh so sweet, a good platforming with loads of nostalgic easter eggs. I really hope they make a full blown game with similar mechanics and gameplay. An easy 10/10

    This game was great. It taught my friend who never plays video games how to play video games. However, when the claw machine gives you a soda can, the barcode isn’t even real. That made me really angry. Horrible game. 9/10.

    What a lovely start to the PS5 era!
    If you think this is purely a tech demo you’d be wrong, it does show off the magic of the dual sense controller which is the maybe the killer application this gen but it’s much more than this!
    A great little game and the music deserves a nod too and it’s a freebie.
    I loved it.

    This demo made me smile so much to the point my cheeks hurt.
    The characters are lovable, the Easter eggs are a joy, and the whole thing is nostalgic.
    Lastly, the gameplay is inventive and I'm just excited to see how future games will use these mechanics.

    This game is a love letter to all PlayStation fans and to PlayStation's long history. It also perfectly showcases many ways in which the DualSense's capabilities can affect and contribute to the gameplay. The best part is that it already comes pre-installed in the PS5! This is a must-play for everyone who owns a PS5 and should be the first game played on this new console.

    Endearing, nostalgic, and very fun. Astrobot is a phenomenal pack-in game, and I never got bored in the 5.5 hours it took me to platinum. I can only hope full, AAA games use the Dualsense to the same extent shown here.

    Astro's Playroom serves as a showcase of both the PS5 console and the Dualsense controller, and does a wonderful job of such. The game takes full advantage of the controller's capabilities, from the haptic feedback that makes it feel like raindrops are falling on top of the controller to the adaptive triggers that make all of the gimmicks feel totally unique from one another. But if that wasn't enough, the game is also a complete joy to play through from beginning to end. I had a smile on my face the whole time during my first playthrough, and I'm not even a long-time PlayStation fan! There are only 4 levels (5 if you include the final boss fight), but they are all wonderfully designed, packed to the brim with easter eggs and interactive trophies you can collect, and each represent a part of the PS5 console while also serving as callbacks to each of the previous PlayStation consoles. If you're a long-time PlayStation fan, there will be so much here for you to appreciate with all the callbacks to various games and accessories, but even if you aren't, you can still enjoy this as a great 3D platformer with tight and smooth controls, creative level designs, and plenty of collectibles for 100% completion. I found all of the gimmicks throughout the stages to be a blast to utilize, even the ones that required tilting of the controller to progress, because the new technology of the Dualsense made the gimmicks feel all the more unique and special. (It also helps my case that I grew up with the Wii so I'm more accustomed to motion controls). There are a multitude of trophies spread throughout each level in addition to puzzle pieces that fill up a mural in the PlayStation Labo room, with the trophies on full display in the same room after you collect them. The coins you collect in each level can also be used in a lottery minigame that can get you more trophies or puzzle pieces, and it's a great crash course on all the kinds of PlayStation accessories that have been released throughout the years. There are even speedrunning levels you can play after beating a given stage, and they even feature entirely new level designs to accommodate the faster nature of speedrunning! The only negative thing I have to say about this game is that I felt that the sound design was rather loud at times, and I felt the need to turn the volume down at points due to such, but even that is just a nitpick I have with the game. Astro's Playroom accomplishes what it sets out to do so well that I honestly consider this to be one of the best games to come out in 2020 despite only being 3-4 hours long. If you manage to get your hands on a PS5 at retail price, please do yourself a favor and play this gift of a game.    … Expand

    (In my opinion of course), Astro Bot is a game brand that with each game shows the capabilities of each accessory and console that comes out of the brand game, for example the previous game of the brand Astro Bot Rescue Mission that came out on the PlayStation VR platform showed its capabilities and even showed that VR Can be an extraordinary experience. And now Astro's Playroom has arrived on the PlayStation 5 and showed us all the capabilities of the console and the new remote, in the new game you can find robots with camera caps and if we look at what they shoot we can see that they recreate excerpts from PlayStation games from all PlayStation long history. And consoles from PlayStation history.
    In short Astro's Playroom is an extraordinary experience that in my opinion anyone who buys a PlayStation 5 must play the game first or if there is anyone who has not played even though he has a PlayStation 5 must play, the game is an amazing experience not to be missed!!!    … Expand

Now onto the way to express itself. This game reminds me of an arcade game, why? Because its infinite re-playability, it even gives you a speedrun mode once you've beaten the boss. Now, you cant play this game without mentioning the references. The amount of exclusives mentioned in this game makes you think about what is to come in the future... Colecting and trying to 100% this game was a fun scavanger hunt and was really satysfying at the end, it shows off the history of playstation in such a fun way and im sure OG playstation fans were having a blast playing this, just as i was.… Expand

    Very fun game which is free for PS5 owners. It is both simple and fun to play. I even made my mom and dad play the game who did not play any video games before. There are so many different maps to play and they are very carefuly designed. There are lots of easter eggs in the game. This game is my first plat. I recommend it to everyone who has PS5.

    What a great free 'get to know' game! It's a bit childish but I enjoyed playing it. How funny, all these little connotations to old games. The controls mostly are good, but sometimes can be annoying (that monkey and the jumpy thing). Good showcase on whats possible on the PS5. Also longer then I expected it to be.     One of the best games of all time. It is short and there isn't any hardcore gaming going on but it's a fun platformer with great music that is a love letter to all things PlayStation. If you've grown up playing PlayStation, you'll love this game.

    Half cute 3D collectathon platformer, half celebration of PlayStation's sprawling and vast history, Astro's Playroom is an adorable and impressive look at what the PS5 can do in the right hands. While it's gameplay is simple, it manages to remain interesting through a combination of obstacles and puzzles that seek to not only show off what this new console can do, but also why such things can make the play experience more immersive. In this regard its extremely successful, with some sections having tiny changes that can be massively enjoyable. Along with this, scattered around the levels are collectibles and references galore, paying homage to some of PlayStation's most famous, memorable and beloved characters and games. If you grew up experiencing PlayStation's history, you can make a game out of finding and figuring each reference out, but there will most likely be a few references in this game you'll point and shout gleefully at.

    Despite its short length, Astro's Playroom is a very enjoyable time, and perhaps the thing that might move it up for me would simply be more content. I get this is a tech demo, but were tthere full game like this, I'd happily get it.    … Expand

    With all around fantastic gameplay, graphics, design, and just overall fun, I’d argue that under different circumstances, this could have even been considered a game of the year contender. I never realized just how much the Sony PlayStation had influenced my life until I played this game.
