With extraordinary Cyberpunk world design that sucks you in from the very first moment, unique mixture of 2D and 3D gameplay, gorgeous art style, deep and diverse gameplay and exiting boss fights, ANNO: Mutationem is a true gem that is not appreciated enough, and it will not disappoint if you give it a try.

ANNO: Mutationem is an enjoyable cyberpunk adventure with enough confident swagger to distract from its shortcomings.

ANNO: Mutationem is an audacious title that successfully merges genres. While the 3D segments aren’t as tight as its 2D counterpart, the originality shines through making this a fresh adventure. The gorgeous environment is full of character and is a joy to inhabit. However, the delivery of the narrative lacks the nuances to fully immerse. With its solid action gameplay and exciting bosses, fans of the genre will have a blast in this futuristic, cyberpunk escapade.

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. It's hard to rate this game. The visuals and the art of the game its a 10/10 but in other aspects the game deflates. At the beggining Anno is very promising, the open world, many citys, missions...etc
When you keep playing the game all these things are only a lie. The craft and other mechanics are unnecesarys and useless. The open world its only a way to be a popular game because in the middle of the story you go to a mission and never back to the world. The game kidnap you! If the the main missions last 7h i cant back to the city to shop weapons complete the secundaries or just farm and enjoy the different cities. The difficult its strange some bosses fight like dark souls and other boss are to easy. The game has to many boss. You avance and a boss and another and another ... it is bored, some boss are longs and this feel heavyweight.
There are a lot of items, weapons and etc that you don't use in the whole game except 3 times.
The plot its cool and the ambience. The inspiration of Evangelion, the cyberpunk citys, the mystery about the nature of the protagonist. But it gets long and in some parts it's boring.
The game is all the time giving you information and presenting characters you don't understand for 8 hours. There comes a time when you don't care about the story, you just want to know the end and understand what is happening.
Until you get to the end you don't really understand what is happening, you kill two bosses and it's over
    it feels incomplete.
However, the combat, the 3d pixel art and the setting make it an entertaining game.
If the game had a better pace and corrected certain bugs it would be a 10/10

I was very surprised by the animation, soundtracks and the little open world. I don't like the story/plot and combat. It started really goodI was very surprised by the animation, soundtracks and the little open world. I don't like the story/plot and combat. It started really good but became weirder and weirder. Most of the characters felt like "filler" characters because you don't know anything about them and they just...disappear. I wanted to know more about them. I expected this game to be a cyberpunk like game but in the end it felt like I played some kinda fantasy game.I don't like how the story unfolded. The combat was way too easy in my opinion. I played it on normal (there is only easy and normal mode) and honestly the majority of the fights were boring. The weapon system, the shops in general are useless. There was nothing left to do in the open world after I finished the Sidequests (beside the main quest of course). Overall the game was okay. Full Review »
