A different, more approachable form of rhythm game with a 70s back-drop and a style to behold. An interpretive experience suited for the rhythm-curious and the niche enthusiast alike.

Despite its brevity, A Musical Story is a game that will stick with you long after you’ve completed it. Its sumptuous artwork, simple yet incredibly emotive, will leave a lasting impression, though not as much as the fantastic soundtrack, which will pulse through your head long after you’ve turned it off. Combining a narrative driven experience with engaging rhythm-led gameplay, the result is something rather special, unlike anything you’ll have played before.

Such a beautiful experience. This rhythm based game takes a new approach to the genre by actually forcing the player to understand the tempoSuch a beautiful experience. This rhythm based game takes a new approach to the genre by actually forcing the player to understand the tempo of the music instead of being told through a direct visual aid when to click (rock band, guitar hero). It’s not that hard though since there is no penalty to messing up and the game will kick in and help you if you miss too many notes. Tells a unique story with stunning visuals that I highly recommend! Full Review »
