Apr 10, 2020Ever wanted to dodge zombie sharks while on a quest to destroy the undead animated by evil wizard-Hitler? Well, it doesn't get much better than Zombie Army 4.
-
Feb 24, 2020In terms of would I recommend the game, yes I would, if you are the sort of person who likes the added challenge of big brutes breaking up your otherwise sniper fueled game then you will probably love it. If you’ve enjoyed the previous games in the series then this should be an easy choice of buy. If you are like me though and don’t like having to totally shift gears and fight up close battles in a game that revolves around long range combat then maybe give it a miss… unless you regularly have group gaming sessions in which case multiplayer may well make it worth your while.

Feb 7, 2020After wondering where it could go after the third entry, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a fitting finale to the franchise. Everything about the presentation is top-notch, and there’s even a special surprise for anyone playing on the PS4. Between Left 4 Dead and World War Z, the co-op zombie shooter is a genre with some truly great titles, and now Rebellion has finally made a game that deserves to be named among the best of them.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a great addition to the franchise, even if it's your first time experiencing it. The gunplay is awesome, especially if you activate a kill cam shot. The enemies provide a tough challenge, so be careful and don't get cocky. You can do it alone, but I highly recommend shooting with a buddy.
-
Mar 3, 2020Sharp, gritty visuals, clever level design, and a John Carpenter-esque soundtrack all contribute towards creating an oppressive, dank, B-movie vibe that's almost as much fun to plough through solo as it is co-op. Plus, there's a zombie shark in it. If that hasn't piqued your interest you're probably already undead.
-
Feb 13, 2020Zombie Army 4 reminds me of a PS2 game in the best possible way. When games like this were abundant and made for epic weekend rentals. If you’re looking for a great co-op zombie shooter to play until Valve releases Left 4 Dead 3 in a thousand years, I would definitely recommend this.
-
Feb 11, 2020Video gaming is an extraordinary medium capable of so many things; transporting you to other worlds, challenging your mettle and your beliefs, telling stories and fuelling creativity. Sometimes, it lets you get together with your mates and shoot zombie Nazis in the nuts. Consider the bar raised.
-
Feb 6, 2020With gruesome visuals and a shameless B-movie narrative, this Nazi-bashing survival game offers little more than mindless mayhem – but that’s what we enlisted for.
-
Feb 4, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is an FPS game, where armies of mindless zombies are taking over the world, under the leadership of Hitler himself! It's up to you to help stop them and save the world - once again. Sounds fun? It is fun.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War introduces some interesting new gameplay elements that improve the experience, and can be played solo or with three other people in a very funny co-op mode.
-
Feb 3, 2020Do you feel lifeless, exhausted and can you no longer cope with the pressure of the modern 'look at me have a great life' society? No worries. With Zombie Army 4: Dead War you get the perfect medicine at home. Although it is certainly possible to improve the formula.
-
Feb 3, 2020If you like shooting zombies with friends, then Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the game for you. There's a few new twists and several layers of progression now thrown into the mix, as you battle undead Nazis once again, but this is classic undead sniping action through and through.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is one of the best co-operative focused games on PS4. Its meaty campaign boasts of impressive level variety, a superb control scheme, and enjoyable gameplay mechanics while a Horde mode tests your abilities to the max. Rebellion has crafted an experience with so much to see and do that it could take a group of players weeks to master everything on offer -- a crowning success for this type of game. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is an absolute riot of a title that is just as cheeky as it is fun to play.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War offers a new beginning to a spin-off series that deserved more attention, trading a few elements that made it stand out at first with a more ambitious take on multiplayer without abandoning its roots.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War isn’t the perfect Left 4 Dead successor fans have been champing for, but it’s one of the better attempts to date. What the game lacks in raw thrills, it makes up for with depth, challenge, solid tech, and devil-may-care craziness. If you’re not already tired of co-op zombie shooters, there’s a heck of a lot of fun to be had taking on Hitler’s hellish hordes.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the best episode of the saga, a fun and well-made cooperative experience.
-
Feb 3, 2020With a unique combination of ideas and gameplay mechanics, Zombie Army 4: Dead War somehow manages to make killing Nazi Zombies feel fresh and new.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4 brings back the hallowed art of the "B game" with a gleefully campy story backed up by solid mechanics and a co-op campaign packed with loads of silly, gory replay value.
-
Feb 3, 2020While Zombie Army 4 won’t win any awards for its story and doesn’t represent a massive revolution alongside most of Rebellion’s third-person shooters, it’s still some completely unpretentious fun with plenty of value and depth.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War offers fun, mindless zombie slaughtering co-op excitement without pretending it's anything else. An absolute blast with friends, it's brutal, disturbing, and you get to kill Nazi zombies. What's not to love?
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4 improves in every way. It adds variety (campaign takes place in different cities with lots of secrets and objectives), deepens gameplay and it is extremely fun to play (solo or coop mode). Sadly, it still shows some technical issues.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a fairly entertaining game, which, however, lacks the K.O. punch necessary to emerge in a genre full of competition. Even without memorable moments and original solutions it’s an enjoyable experience, especially in multiplayer.
-
Mar 2, 2020Zombie Killing is always better with friends and Zombie Army 4 doesn’t buck that trend. Don’t buy this if you lack playing partners but if you have some Zombie slaying mates it is a blast.
-
Feb 25, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a solid addition to the zombie genre. Thoughtful enemy encounters and meaningful progression contribute to an energetic and chaotic pace. It’s also agreeably accessible for players across a range of skill levels whether you play solo or with friends. If you’ve never played a Zombie Army title and love killing Nazis, this is a great place to start.
-
Feb 22, 2020Straight from a Z-series movie, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, despite an inevitable repetition, only 4 maps in Horde mode and a certain lack of variety in weapons, proves to be a good release with high quality graphics. Although we regret that it tries to capitalize on micro-transactions, we appreciate its gory aspect and the feeling of power provided by the heavy weapons that allow you to exterminate zombies by the thousand.
-
Feb 20, 2020Overall, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a worthy game that stands above a semi-oversaturated genre with stellar co-op, fun, and goofy arcade elements, and so many throwbacks to 80’s zombie horror George Romero himself would have loved it. The somewhat cliche campaign and lack of solo care might put some off, but if you have friends to play with, and want one of the best zombie-slaying experiences in recent years, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the place to be.
-
Feb 11, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War lets you take the fight to a familiar foe in an expected but fun way. Cooperative play is a joy, gunplay is frantically exciting, and the progression system firmly holds everything together. While not reinventing much, Zombie Army 4: Dead War greases the bloody wheels of the zombie trope by implementing its own solid trademark of tactical shooter sensibilities.
-
Feb 4, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a solid, workmanlike zombie shooting game. It's quite fun to play and makes for an enjoyable co-op experience as you and a friend team up to buzzsaw your way through Hitler's legions. That's basically the beginning and end of it. If you want a game where you kill a lot of Nazi zombies, then Zombie War 4 provides. If you're looking for something more, then it doesn't. It's still a fun co-op experience and worth picking up if you're looking for something new to add to your gaming library.
-
Feb 3, 2020We are faced with a desecrating and violent work, often at the limits of the grotesque, a fun interactive b-movie full of action and dismemberments. Very enjoyable if played in company, Rebellion's new work, however, struggles to be appreciated in equal measure even by lone players, who could soon be removed from a repetitiveness at times really difficult to accept without that injection of extra enjoyment deriving from the strategic implications typical of multiplayer games.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a frantic arcade shooter that is a little one-note, but has enough variance in zombie types, gorgeous environments and a robust co-operative experience to make it an enjoyable experience.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a game designed to be fun with friends, and it does deliver. There’s nothing revolutionary, but if you’ve enjoyed previous entries or if you just want to shoot nazis with friends, you’ll have a great time with Dead War.
-
Feb 14, 2020Both the storyline and gameplay in the Zombie Army series have that classic “B movie” vibe to them, and with a storyline as insane as this one, it just feels right as the game is self aware and gives the audience what they would want, including tons of gore, humour, and satisfying kills. Rebellion really took things to the next level, not only with tons of variety of undead, but missions and areas to explore. There is so much game here with replayability and I hope it will be expanded with some DLC or online challenges. Even if this is your first time experiencing the Zombie Army franchise, or a game like this, this is a great title to start with. Rebellion really has perfected the zombie shooter. So grab a drink and lets go!
-
Feb 10, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War works great in co-op and sigle player. Though the stiff controls, mediocre graphics and nothing revolutionary, it offers dozens of hours of fun.
-
Feb 16, 2020Although it doesn't stand out compared with other zombie games, Zombie Army 4: Dead War has its unique skill tree, weapon upgrade system, and combo system, which make the game fun enough to play.
-
Feb 7, 2020Shallow, yet entertaining co-op carnage that lacks variety in the long run and only lives up to its potential with a full team.
-
Feb 28, 2020Dead War is proof that even a topic as unoriginal as a zombie apocalypse can still be a lot of fun. This is a great co-op shooter with a solid campaign and an acceptable horde mode. Just don’t expect anything new - and don’t play alone.
-
Edge MagazineFeb 27, 2020The solid fundamentals of its design shine through more clearly when you're playing alone. [Issue#343, p.114]
-
Feb 21, 2020By its nature Zombie Army 4 can be a bit repetitive, but at the same time - especially when playing it in coop with your friends - it can be an immensely fun experience for short sessions of nazi zombie killing frenzy.
-
Feb 18, 2020No one is going to play Zombie Army 4: Dead War for a nuanced alternative history or thought-provoking story. Its raison d’etre is killing hordes of undead zombies in as many interesting ways as possible, alone or with some buddies, and maybe caring enough to try to earn a high score in the process. Whether solo or coop, Dead War is entertaining enough, though visually a bit behind the curve and in need of a few bug fixes and pass with the polishing cloth.
-
Feb 17, 2020Zombie Army 4 feels like an entertaining B-movie crossed with a highly playable and mindless third person shooter.
-
Feb 10, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a good, fun and solid cooperative TPS game but gives off a persistent feeling of "déjà vu".
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 7, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War offers few variations on the horde survival template… but what it does, it does it so well. If you love arcade shooters, it’s a no-braaaaaainer. [Issue#172, p.77]
-
Feb 6, 2020We really enjoyed our time with Zombie Army 4. I would have liked better music and some more varied objectives but apart from that it is hard to not get stuck into slaying hordes of the undead. Especially if you have a friend to watch your back, like I did.
-
Feb 5, 2020Zombie Army 4 doesn't create anything new, but it's fun and entertaining. The cooperative mode is the main point of the whole production.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is an enjoyable and generous spin-off, with a delicious Grindhouse flavour that makes killing zombies quite fun, especially in cooperation, even if it can sounds a bit redundant and feels dated visually and in terms of A.I.
-
Feb 3, 2020In its self-aware campiness and macabre action, there is a contagious confidence in Zombie Army 4 that will leave anyone who plays it a fan of this exciting co-op shooter.
-
Feb 3, 2020Its enemies might be mindless but while it’s very one note the gameplay in Zombie Army 4 offers some surprisingly engrossing co-operative action.
-
Feb 3, 2020While cumbersome controls and an oddly-behaving combo meter can betray the underlining intention of pace and of orderly chaos ruling over, Zombie Army 4: Dead War does just enough to shun these unfortunate moments. Players voluntarily, not forcibly, involving themselves with such madness with sufficiently-positive results.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4 is a solid co-op offering that offers plenty of blood-spilling fun. However, it's let down by dated mission design and repetition, while its single-player isn't half as fun as when you're teaming up with a group of mates. Fans of the series will definitely appreciate what's on offer, though.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4 expands upon the basics of the preceding trilogy, adding depth through weapons and perks. It offers dozens of hours of zombie action, topped off by a highly addicting co-op mode. Mediocre graphics and clunky controls keep the game from being a must-have, though.
-
Feb 18, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the Farming Simulator among the shooting games. There is a therapeutic beauty in the systematic liquidation of zombie nazis, but the game simply does not offer that.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War brings the best from this franchise along with a pretty nice diversity of new opponents to kill. It’s fun at times, but still lurks way behind current zombie games.
-
Feb 7, 2020At its core, Zombie Army 4 feels uninspired and fails to capture anything unique. With the plethora of zombie video game content out, it seems safe to say that there is plenty out there that have done it better.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4 is the reanimated corpse of gaming’s past, stitched together from the best bits of Sniper Elite. It’s a B-movie pastiche stuffed with classic movie references and thousands of heads (and bollocks) to pop. But most importantly, it’s a new game. A new, fairly-enjoyable video game in 2020 – what a concept.
-
Feb 4, 2020Ultimately, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is an amalgamation of tropes you’ve seen before, but it never quite nails any of them in a meaningful way. Want a fun cooperative zombie experience? Play Left 4 Dead or Call of Duty: Zombies. Want something funny? Play Dead Rising. Or how about something with a worthwhile story? Telltale’s Walking Dead might be up your alley. In 2020 when there are so many games releasing, begging for your time, mediocrity is a tough sell.
-
Feb 3, 2020Zombie Army 4: Dead War knows how to convey the feeling of an apocalyptic world. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by repetitive missions and moderate graphics. What remains is a superficial zombie game with many shattering bodies that it must have uncomplicated co-entertainment.
-
Feb 3, 2020At first, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is pure stress relief. Full of energy, it generously rewards the zombie frag and pushes the player to go further to collect items, assets and improvements. Sadly, when the initial adrenaline rush fades away, the experience quickly becomes repetitive, even in co-op. All that remains is a very classical action game that won't leave a mark on our minds.
-
Feb 3, 2020While it borrows heavily from its sniper-focused counterpart, Zombie Army 4 doesn't feel nearly as engaging, and it fails to capitalize on its promises of over-the-top gameplay and horror.
-
Feb 3, 2020Killing zombie Hitler should be a highlight of any experience as any chance to squash Nazi scum should be. But in Zombie Army 4’s campaign, it was more of a relief as it signaled the end of a tedious, monotonous experience that was only bolstered by the ability to get through it with other people.
-
Feb 3, 2020While the game does what it says on the tin, it doesn't add a wealth of new experiences or features to set it aside from previous Zombie Army titles…A few hours into the game... you do sadly get the impression that you've seen everything Zombie Army 4: Dead War has to offer.

Mar 20, 2021Waste of time. Extremely boring and unoriginal. The game design of this game is like 20 years behind
