Couch Co-Op allows you to go head to head, toe to toe with your friends either online or locally, to let all players get to join in the frenetic fun. The interactive stage environments will leave you feeling a small resemblance to Mortal Kombat in which those object environments can be used to gain the upper hand on your opponents. Finally, the new Campaign in this game allows you to take the journey to WWE Superstardom as this ultimate mode is led by WWE's best ceative talent consultant's of all time Paul Heyman.     Let me clarify that the game do have microtransactions like all games now days but everything, literally everything in the game can be unlocked with the in game currency that you get by playing both online and campaign. Anyway I understand some people hate 2k but I don't understand those ratings, please ignore them annbuybthe game yourself cause it is really fun!     Good arcadey wrestling fun and a throwback to simpler times for an old gamer like me! I bought this not long after release and have played through roughly half the campaign and most of the online modes including tournament. There’s a lot of content here to keep me going and it’ll be a game to crack out with the lads after a few beers. There are micro transactions but if you’re patient enough to just play the game you will earn enough battle bucks to unlock everything you want. I would recommend playing the campaign to get the most out of learning the various playing styles for each style of wrestler.

    The game itself has a pick up play aspect that I enjoy compared to more modern wrestling games which might satisfy the hardcore fan but in fact are quite fiddly. The game mechanics allow you to learn quite quickly with timing being better than just button mashing.    … Expand

    So you have to fight to build up to use other moves It’s an interesting wrestling mechanic but the overall arcade look is amazing. Minor glitches but overall this game is pretty fun. Only thing I don’t like is the system where you can pay for coins. At least give us more coin for our buck

    I have loved this game it is really extremely addictive and excellent in every detail in its fighting genre I recommend it

    This game is amazing and very addictive people say it’s just to make money through micro transactions but that bull you can unlock superstars pretty quickly by PLAYING THE GAME. Yes you need to play the game to unlock stuff you don’t just get everything handed to you. It’s called progression it’s what gets people coming back to play it.     WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a fun arcade wrestling game, far different than the sim we know and love (or hate). Its got tons of different modes, arenas and wrestlers to choose from, each with his own special abilities and signature moves. Some moves are missing, its got a lot of bugs and the micro-transaction ruin your progression, but it doesn't change the fact that this game is fun, and it doesn't need to be anything else.
