I was waiting for this game so much, but it seems a delusion. The idea is perfect, vehicles and destroyable playgrounds are perfect, but in other terms, this game is poor and very amateur.

Wreckfest is full of unnecessary loading and confirming screens. Why should I check ready after leaving the leaderboard screens to move on? The half of the next map could be already loaded. If I start

Wreckfest is full of unnecessary loading and confirming screens. Why should I check ready after leaving the leaderboard screens to move on? The half of the next map could be already loaded. If I start something in a career, there is a summery screen, then loading, then summery again, then loading again. In multiplayer, even if the next base arena is the same like in previous race, the whole map is loaded again. Why? And what would happen if the next map was loaded when we are in the lobby? Or why can't we set and tune our car during the loading screen? Why are 'microloads' when I am switching between cars in the garage and car change menus? Is it that hard to load some data these days? These are not about programming skills, but simple thinking or at least testing.

Primary multiplayer things are missing. We can't play with our friends only. We can't set up a room with our own prefered settings by a lobby host. The default ordering in Server Browser screen is the number of players – why is it good to put full 16/16 servers on the first place? Who was thinking this is good idea?

The handling is buggy as hell. I hit gas then the car is starting to move backward even in perfect condition. Oh, and armor upgrades are useless. I can get dream 'strength' numbers, the car is breaking almost the same way, definitely worse then other cars with the same or less strength rating by default. The game is definitely cheating. When I hit the break in a decent distance from a wall, I am suddenly going faster than like I was hitting the gas so I would crash anyway. There are lags, many times i am sliding back for a moment.

The game was delayed by one year. I could not imagine how it looked like in November 2018 as it seems still unfinished.

This is another game with nothing but a disc and a buggy game. There is nothing to tell you how to play the game but a really bad control layout that doesn't tell you why you car goes backward, stays in reverse, just the basic operation of the game. Its as though they expect you to know everything about it right out of a case that has nothing in it but a disc. I should rate it a zero butThis is another game with nothing but a disc and a buggy game. was really looking forward to playing this game but got really disappointed.

the audio is dominated by some weird music, turning it off results in an even more disappointing, silent experience. e.g. spectators in the game seem to be clapping all the time but you cant hear a single one of them. after every race there is a "ceremony" with you standing in front of your car barely moving

It's just not fun. When I saw this game at first, I immediately had flashbacks to FlatOut and was very glad that another game like this is on its way. I have been playing Wreckfest for the last couple of days, and well, it's not. The game is tedious, extremely frustrating with one of the WORST rubber banding AI I have ever encountered. The events are just not fun, most of them are pointless races, with cars that handle like they're skating on ice. You can tune your car but it makes almost no difference in terms of actual handling. Most of the events are races, like I said, and not destruction derby or anything else, so you find yourself just wanting to get it ver with. I do not recommend this game at all. Expand

Hugely overrated! These high scoring reviews can’t be real surely? Wish I could get a refund!

It looks wacky and fun but the gameplay is poor. Controls are generally terrible and irritating, you’ll be frustrated quickly once the novelty factor of driving a banger car or a sofa wears off you’re left with what feels like a cheaply made game with samey modes, average graphics and boring

Even the lawnmower crash battles quickly get dull.

It could’ve been such a hilariously fun game ruined by all these short comings.

The game seems fun,but the graphics on some things ( fences, railings, grass, white lines on the road etc) are bad and wearing to the point that they make the game almost unplayable in many maps.

To be fair the game is quite well designed for what it is. Which is a game where you smash cars into each other. It's a bit mindless but can pass an hour or two. The graphics are pretty good

This is only a cheap racing game, with worse drive physics and a faulty dmg recognition.
A lot of bugs and less content. I dont understand the good reviews, they are maybe faked.

A perfect continuation of what Bugbear has done previously with the Flatout series. They may no longer hold the license to that IP, but they definitely still have the spirit of it. This is a perfect blend of customisation and carnage, with something for everyone. I can’t recommend it enough, and it deserves to be just as popular as the games that came before it.

Wreckfest brings a lot of fun to the table and is also a great vent for piled-up aggression from bad day at school or work. If you liked games like Destruction Derby and Flatout, you will love this. Be warned, there are still some bugs in the game, but it looks like the team is actively working on fixing them.

    s. There’s certainly room to experiment and tinker. Yet for all the fun you’ll have in Wreckfest’s sandpit circuits the constant technical hurdles hold it back. [Issue#167, p.92]
