    Watch dogs 1 was pretty cool for me because of the dark setting and the badass mfcker Aiden Pearce. That just completely fits the vibe of this game. Generally quite underrated by the "hate" or better said strong criticism because of the fake trailer

    I think this was one of the best games of Ubisoft ( it’s like this : watch dogs = 10 watchdogs 2 = 8.5 watchdogs 3 = 5 )

    I hope Ubisoft make watchdogs 4 exactly a copy of watchdogs 1 ( a good story + great gameplay like watchdogs 1 + ability to have all weapons not like watchdogs 3

    Watch Dogs tiene una historia muy buena, el protagonista (Aiden Pearce) está muy bien; jugablemente es básico y es divertido y no es un juego malo como muchos dicen.

    This game is great at pulling emotions when invested into it. The repeating crimes remind me of Spider-Man 2 on GameCube. The story is great and follows a main character looking for revenge for a loss of a family member.

    Jogo excelente. Ótima ambientação, temática, jogabilidade (exceto carro). Foi o primeiro jogo de campanha que me encheu os olhos quando tive meu Xbox 360. Nostalgia puta, gráficos lindos para epoca, enfim, incrível.

Mit seinen Kamera Hacks bietet Watchdogs nämlich nicht nur eine wirklich einmal neuartige Spielmechanik, sondern kombiniert diese zudem mit ausgefeilten Stealth Elementen und einem ordentlichen Deckungsshooter. All diese Aspekte zusammen machen die einzelnen Quests in Watchdogs so zu einer Spielwiese an Möglichkeiten, um zum eigentlichen Ziel zu kommen. Stellt man sich geschickt an, kann man so manche Questaufgaben gar lösen ohne das eigentliche Gelände überhaupt je zu betreten. In Sachen Gameplay spielt ein Watchdogs so auch den direkten Konkurrenten GTA5 locker an die Wand. Dass das Hacking Element zudem zu einer äußerst lebendig und authentisch wirkenden Open World beiträgt, indem man beispielsweise Handygespräche mithören, oder Kurznachrichten abfangen kann, gibt der Spielewelt den letzten Schliff.

    Zugegeben, die Fahrphysik der Autos ist nicht sonderlich überzeugend und die Rachestory um den Hauptcharakter Aiden Pierce jetzt auch nicht unbedingt geistreich. Wer aber einfach an gutem, innovativen Gameplay interessiert ist, der kommt bei Watchdogs garantiert voll auf seine Kosten.    … Expand

    Great open-world AAA GTA style hacker gamer, that is unique enough to stand on it's own from GTA series. I'm saying all this as a hardcore GTA fan btw. Aiden is very cool, serious, deep main character. He is not you average hero who saves the day and acts nice. No. He is serious vigilante on revenge quest and that's what makes him actually interesting and cool. Anyone who wanted him to be perfect hero, can look for some other game, Sims maybe. There's lots of similarities between Max Payne and Aiden, i have never seen anyone whining about Max Payne or maybe these haters have just never played that masterful shooter series, that is Max Payne. Either way Watch Dogs is already a classic and has huge fanbase. Two sequels were absolute garbage, only Aiden DLC was decent. Hopefully Ubisoft want actually make money again and next WD game will be prequel with Aiden as a main character.… Expand

Он вполне обычный и серьёзный, и в этом его изюминка. В целом, игра мне понравилась!Вполне неплохая игра, атмосферный открытый мир, интересный сюжет, не шедевр, но за ним мне было интересно наблюдать, главный герой мне понравился за свою «обычность», Эйден Пирс - совершенно обычный человек, ведёт себя нормально, не разбрасывается глупыми шутками.     I was playing Watch Dogs all night yesterday and i just can't get over how good and underrated this game really is. City design is absolutely fantastic for this 2014 video game. Graphics are solid on PC, story is fun enough. The city of Chicago and Aiden Pierce being a Vigilante are such a excellent match, as Chicago, being    Watch Dogs is a slightly different game from games like GTA V, this time, you are a hacker in a quest for vengeance.
    As we follow the story of Aiden Pierce, a great hacker, who tries to solve the mistery of why is his family attacked by Fixers, we find out many other problems in Chicago. The city of Chicago and Aiden Pierce being a Vigilante are such a excellent match, as Chicago, being known by the amount of crimes.
    The NPCs are amazing, when you walk the streets, you fell like everything is alive. The gameplay is great, the story is simply amazing, the graphics are okay, but still, could be better.
    There are some things that needs to be improved, like driving and repetitive side quests, but apart from that you will still have a great time doing different side activities.

    All in all, I recommend it for all open-world game fans. If not for the gameplay, at least for the story which is amazing, thrilling and fun.    … Expand

    One of my favorite semi-futuristic, city-centric, open-world games. I can't believe it was so underrated when it came out, but seems like over the years, lots of people have finally found this game and it gets the respect it truly deserves!

    EL principal problema del vidojuego es que es un titulo de 2014 se nota un poco antiguo el viojuego pero tiene buenos gráficos y sonidos, en lo falla mas es en la conducción.

    La historia es bastante buena, pero nada comparada con otras Watch Dogs, la personalidad del personaje es bastante rara. En este Watch Dogs el protagonista se centra en salvarse a el y a su familia.

    Recomiendo el juego a fans y a no fans de los videojuegos Watch Dogs, si has jugado otros Watch Dogs te gustara pero notaras menos posibilidades de hackeo y otros fallos.

Of course it can't be GTA 5 level popularity because that's the only game Rockstar has rn (nobody plays rdrd2 online lol), but Ubisoft has been constantly making new games.     Back in 2014, my original opinion of Watch Dogs was influenced by the fact that the game released 6 months after Grand theft Auto V, a game that is STILL popular today. Watch Dogs was understandably inferior to such an industry defining title and predictably I regarded it as such. However, after 7 years and two sequels later, I've come to the conclusion that the first Watch Dogs is theBack in 2014, my original opinion of Watch Dogs was influenced by the fact that the game released 6 months after Grand theft Auto V, a game that is STILL popular today. Watch Dogs was understandably inferior to such an industry defining title and predictably I regarded it as such. However, after 7 years and two sequels later, I've come to the conclusion that the first Watch Dogs is the strongest entry in the series because of it's story, it's side content, and the overall focus of it's gameplay systems.     Playing this game in 2021 is not a bad idea at all. Multiplayer is still active, the game is well patched and during my whole passage through the game I came across only two bigger bugs / glitches. In both cases, the player's view was stuck at one angle and the camera could not be moved.

    The story is such a classic about saving a family from a villain. As we say in the Czech Republic    Playing this game in 2021 is not a bad idea at all. Multiplayer is still active, the game is well patched and during my whole passage through the game I came across only two bigger bugs / glitches. In both cases, the player's view was stuck at one angle and the camera could not be moved.

    The story is such a classic about saving a family from a villain. As we say in the Czech Republic ... "It does not offend, it does not inspire".

    But honestly, I have to say that from the beginning, the overall gameplay of this game is a bit confusing, because the game will overwhelm you with information about what and how it is used more or less at once. So you learn during the game. At least that's my sincere and subjective look.

    The driving model of cars is intuitive, boats are boats. What I'm a little sorry I wasn't in the game is definitely piloting aircraft.

    In conclusion, I must point out that the game must have been really annoying during the release. When I saw a few videos of the state of the game at the time, I was honestly a little sorry for it. However, now it is more or less problem-free and I give it a rating of 8/10.    … Expand

    Watch Dogs is amazing game and so underrated that it's almost sad. People who say that it has bad graphics, don't understand graphics at all. Just cause it has different graphics from E3 trailer, doesn't mean it automatically has bad graphics. It looks great and is very fun game.

    One of my favorite modern-open world-city games, just behind GTA V. Hacking mechanics makes it fun and stand out more than games like Sleeping Dogs. Nice atmosphere, decently designed city. It could have had more, but at the same time, it has just enough content.

Driving takes a little getting used to as anything that handles even slightly different from GTAV's driving is alien. Its fine though once acclimated. The gun-play and just combat in general (including stealth tools etc) is great. The City (Chicago) isn't quite on GTAV's Los Santos level... but its a more than serviceable map.

    Also, I really liked the online. Its different (& less appealing to the masses) to GTAV but it worked for me. Its reminiscent of Dark Souls' world invasion system but with stealth and observation as opposed to fantasy combat. Hacking another player and then finding a clever hiding-spot to wait out the hack while observing your 'opponent' scramble around looking for you is incredibly satisfying. And if you're unable to locate a 'great' place to hid, it can get incredibly tense as you try to read what the other player is going to do next... so you can circumvent it.

    I think a lot of the negativity at launch was down to the various promises not kept by Ubisoft but playing it years later with little to no expectations I've had a blast.    … Expand

Chicago is well designed, over 50 different cars you can drive, murder mystery to solve, decent story, cool outfits, lots of guns etc. Graphically one of the best looking games of 2014.     I really liked the game.

    There's enough to do in the open world.
    & the more serious tone of the story line is in my opinion a good idea, especially when compared to the clown fiesta story of Watch Dogs 2.

    This game is definitely way better than Watch Dogs 2, and I recommend you to play it, if you haven't already.

    O jogo é bom mas é preciso consertar alguns Bugs, faltou aproveitar alguns personagens pouco aproveitados. A gameplay é legal e divertida mas porém as vezes é muito fácil com determinadas armas como lança granada e rifle de precisão, a dirigibilidade dos carros é média para ruim , e muito arcade. O jogo é bom e, recomendo para quem não jogou.

    I play this game right after i finish GTA V. AND I LOVE IT. This game was epic. I dont care about story i didnt remember anything but gameplay and the things in here are a gem. Watch Dogs are a hidden gem and a must play

    Watch Dogs 1 is great open world hacker game. Graphics look really solid considering it came out early 2014. gameplay is fun enough, shooting feels great, outfits have cool color variations. It's not perfect, but hardly anything is.

    I will support Ubisoft until the day i die. I bought AC Valhalla Day 1 and i will do same with Far Cry 6. I want to play Assassin's Creed Unity as last thing i ever do, before i die. Ubisoft (alongside Rockstar Games, Remedy Entertainment and Capcom) is one of my favorite game developers of all time and i mean it. They have got so much undeserved hate from tasteless haters who never evenI will support Ubisoft until the day i die. I bought AC Valhalla Day 1 and i will do same with Far Cry 6.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My favorite WD game mainly cuz of climat and story. I loved the story because it is so immersive - a men who will do anything to protect his family, himself, world and people who he cares about. When it comes to the end it's really breathtaking, you're sad and mad at once. In WD's Chicago we can see begging of cyberpunk climat, most of people are poor and the rich corporations as Blume is taking over the city with ctOs. Graphics are becoming a little out dated but it still looks good and mechanics are way more limited than in new WD's but it let's you get into the world, because a hacker like aiden who is a guy who just passes can make little but meaning things with his phone. Gameplay is a clearly see oldie especially shooting and driving but it is okay. I loved the free-roaming and just watch what pedestrians do and search for the missing music for a platinum achievement. Some may call it boring and not fun in a game of hackers but I call it a game life, just chill and wait for someone to hack you, find him and kick his ass.… Expand

    If today in 2020, look at what Watch dogs has become, then the first part is simply a masterpiece. Her Noir is very much needed today. Instead, we have a masquerade party and hipsters. I want more realism, something closer to mr Robot. I really like the atmosphere of this game and its music. I hope that one day you will make a good watch dogs game

    This game would be a cult classic if it was made by an indie company. Disregard the butthurt reviews from people who got mislead by the e3 trailer. Aiden is a John Wick like protagonist and it's a great revenge story. Much better than the sequel.

    I know the game didnt live upto the hype and it was falsely marketed but besides that the game is a lot of fun and the hacking adds a unique element to an open world game. People focused mainly on how the game was shown before release and what the final product was but if you just focus on the game alone it is pretty good game that is a lot of fun

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. (To clarify, I first completed the game on PS3 before buying the game on PS4 to do another run so this review will really be mostly about the things i saw in both of them.)

    The game is great. The story was engaging at the very least, the characters are a tad bit bland but they do their part. Game mechanics I actually had the most fun with, most especially the "Focus" ability, I was able to do all the missions that required physical infiltration with stealth, and it all felt so satisfying. The driving is a bit of a drag, the cars seem to slide across each other like butter if both headlights touch, and the turning/drifting doesn't feel all too rewarding. The weirdest part is Aiden Pearce. He is described in the game as a person who's personality you'll never be able to figure out, but whenever he in some conversation with a high profile target, especially with the Iraq fight, his comebacks seem so try hard and hilarious. Overall, the game is definitely not perfect, but it's alright, and it's definitely worth getting on the PS4 if it happens to go on sale. Is it worth getting over Grand Theft Auto 5? No. Is it a game made in the era where Ubisoft didn't care so much about milking? Yeah.    … Expand

    This game is brutally the best game ever, its my favorite game. storyline makes sence, sad and amazing. combat is awesome and every small thing in the game is nice. way better than GTA 5, I would rather buy watchdogs than GTA 5. watchdogs keeps you connected with the game but not GTA 5

No puedo cree que vaya a hacer una critica del Watch dogs en pleno 2020 a unas cuantas semanas de que ubisoft de mas detalles de Watch dogs legion, pero es importante saber de este juego porque este es la razón de todo, Watch dogs del año 2014 no fue lo que nos prometieron mas aun en el aspecto gráfico, pero uno dirá ¿vale la pena este juego?, este juego se encuentra en la sección de play station hits así que uno diría que si, en mi opinión este juego vale muchísimo la pena y aquí le diré el porque, Watch nos sorprendió a muchísimos en la e3 del 2012 con un protagonista que se veía prometedor pero no fue así ese es uno de los mas grandes errores que comete el juego, en la historia, lo se la historia les gusta a muchos incluyéndome pero los personajes se sienten vacíos como si no tuvieran vida atrás excepto por: Clara, Tbone y Aiden de ninguno mas, pero llegamos a encariñarnos con ellos, he leído muchos comentarios del trailer de Watch dogs legión, que es uno de los mas grandes proyectos de Ubisoft, que piden un remake para Aiden o que salga dentro del juego, incluyéndome, pero al fin y al cabo la historia si llega a atraerte y mucho es por eso una de las razones para jugarlo, en online sonara chistoso pero yo lo sigo jugando, lo se fornite por aya fortnite por acá todo es fortnite ahorita, pero el multijugador no fue nada malo es mas a veces hace sentir de forma viva al juego de que algún otro usuario te hacke y te robe tu dinero en plena partida o jugar el captura la bandera que es mi favorito y en la jugabilidad se que watch dogs su jugabilidad es muy genérica y simple cubrirte y disparar, pero no solo es cubrirte y dispara también puedes usar las cámaras y activar explosivos, hackear sus audífonos, cortar sus señales y eso nos abre a muchas posibilidades, que esas cosas si son las que nos prometieron tener la ciudad bajo tus pies aunque en cierta parte tambien nos limitan mucho y ese limite nos obligan a acudir a las armas, lo se la mayoría de puntos que he tomado en cuenta son puntos positivos pero hasta el día de hoy no existe juego perfecto quien sabe tal vez el watch dogs pudo serlo pero no lo logro… Expand

    O melee é muito bom não tem como e os minigame e hacks gostei de todos. Até o multiplayer de você se esconder perto da pessoa da uns momentos muito engraçados, Jogo muito bom e não é 10 por causa dos bugs, história, física e as rampas pq a gravidade do jogo é no mínimo 3x a da terra.

    The game offers so much rich story that you won't want to stop playing the game not to mention the big open world to explore and tons of side activities/missions to do that keep you engaged. While the car handling is a little wack, this game has a story and immersive hacking environment that can be played for a long while. I think it's such an underrated game.

The amount of effort put in this game is phenomenal. Vehicles feel more realistic while driving. If you're seen as a terrorist in your reputation, people call the cops when they recognize you or when you shoot a gun in public. And the story? Amazing! Although I didn't get emotional during the mission where your family has to go somewhere safe, but I just didn't want to see them go. Character development is also really good. When Clara died, you wanted to kill the hit men badly, jut wanted immediate revenge. Overall, this game is a big slap in the face, but still a good game.… Expand

    I really enjoyed the game now in 2017. The whole ideea of the game is very original.Main storyline , graphics, stealth system, caracters, they are all very well created. The very bad thing in this game is driving , wich it is horrible indeed, and can make you angry most of the times. Overall , for me the game is a solid 8.

    I was suprised about how people hated this game when it was released and this hatred actually prevented me buying a video game, that i actually liked alot. The graphics are the only thing that i did not like about game, but the storyline and gameplay was surprisingly very good. I surely would recommend this video game to everyone, that want to play a fun and interesting video game.

Os gráficos são bonitos, a gameplay é excelente (menos na parte de direção de carros), a história é excelente e as missões são divertidas demais. Só peca pelos bugs, a direção dos carros e a falta de física em algumas coisas como a água. Conclusão, mesmo com o que muitos digam, Watch Dogs é um ótimo jogo.

Eventually, I moved onto the online part of the game and found myself PLEASANTLY surprised!! After two year AND a brand new sequel out, the online community STILL thrives!

    Getting into any of the online games was a smooth transition will very little wait time. (Most titles like CoD or Battlefield are between 3-8 minutes between games, following the end of a scoreboard+loading time. Where Watch Dogs, is 2-3 minutes tops!!) The gameplay is a little different for the multiplayer, with the only true competitive modes are online hacking and racing. BUT they are fun and easy to get into!
    Another thing I liked was the integrated matchmaking with the main game. Sure, it's annoying when you get hacked or tailed, but the transition is smooth and is enjoyable to find the person tailing or hacking you, in the regular world.

    Like I said, it does get annoying, especially when you're trying to do side missions or activities, as they will interrupt your gameplay, even though you can go right back to playing after the hacking or tailing is completed.

    As for the main game, it's a lot of fun! Many of the side missions focus more on driving and evading the police. Which is really fun to do in Chicago, the game's setting! Many of the side missions remind of me of playing Need for Speed Most Wanted and the Dukes of Hazard.

    As for the combat, I'll admit, the AI is fairly dumb and doesn't really pose too much of a challenge until the really outnumber you. Firefights aren't very tense and in many cases, when you combine you ability to sabotage things and the gunplay, Aiden gets pretty overpowered, provided you don't get shot in the progress. (As you really can't too many shots. Which is realistic., I guess.)

    Story-wise, it's a pretty decent little revenge story, which some may find boring or overused. Personally, it keep me interested, especially if you did a little exploring and listened to some of the audio logs.

    Two more things: the actual in-game hacking of Chicago's population didn't fit with the game's character and gave NO penalty for robbing people's digital accounts and literally STEALING someone's stuff! After a while, I was able to get well over a half million bucks from hacking phones, in an hour, by JUST STANDING STILL AND PRESSING THE SQUARE BUTTON. That I didn't like!

    The last one, is the actual environment and the streets of Chicago. I found it to be AWESOME and a close comparison to GTAV's detail. The city lives and breathes as it should; there are street performers, people out talking and doing all kinds of things, including actual crimes! My only complaint; the people were painted too much in a dark perspective.

    Overall, Watch Dogs, is a fun sandbox game that will appeal more to those who like racing, high speed chases and playing something a little bit different than GTAV. Sure the similarities are close to GTA, but it's great in it's own rite!    … Expand

    However, gameplay is great once you get used to the fact that it is NOT Grand Theft Auto. FPS is not as bad for its timeframe. The story is pretty solid for a new game from Ubisoft. Aiden Pearce the character maybe boring at some points, but as you play, you will understand why he is so bold most of the time. Kind of like Connor from Assassins Creed III. Without a doubt, Raymond Kenney was my favorite character. Missions are pretty fun as you get a great exposure of hacking. I love the concept of taking over CTOS and Blume. What I believe was that more time should have been taken to develop this game to meet the expectations of the players. I believe that the hacking capabilities can be pretty fun when you unlock them and it makes the experience really bring out. You really get into the story after sometime playing it.

    What is very nice about this game is that there brings a future franchise for the open world side of gaming. It is definitely a beginning of something great and can also be a learning curve for Ubisoft. Watch Dogs is definitely something fresh and new for Ubisoft and the gaming community and I am excited to see what they do with their next installment. I believe Ubisoft will deliver better next time. When Ubisoft gets below a 9 rating, you know that it did not favor the expectations of its fanbase.    … Expand

But, this game has absolutely great stealth system and shooting system kicks GTA's ass. City of Chicago also feels so much alive and the whole map is great. (maybe a bit small, but original). I don't see why other people talk about this game being repetitive. I completed it to 100% and had fun all the time (maybe Fixer contracts are bit annoying). Online is also cool, hacking and tailing other players is really fun. Weaker point of this game is probably the story, which is kinda short and the plot is... weird, let's just say.
    Overall, since you can get this game really cheap ATM, I think you should just buy it and try it yourself. And I am 85% sure, that you're actually gonna be surprised, just like me.    … Expand

    Watch Dogs is a fun open world experience. However, the repetitive chases and the formulaic gameplay tend to get tedious and boring after a while. As such, you might want to enjoy the different multiplayer experiences and take frequent breaks to just roam around the city.

    It’s a bold first step on the new terrain for Ubisoft. The game is enjoyable, offers some interesting mechanics and lasts for long enough, but is bland as a whole. The characters lack personalities, the city could use more distinctness and the story is instantly forgettable. [07/2014, p.46]
