    Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is chock full of action RPG goodness that'll delight any genre fan for dozens of hours. Its core gameplay may get a little repetitive but what's here amounts to a surprisingly varied and enjoyable collection of content.

    If you add in the Motorhead or Fractured Worlds expansions, and the ability to play all of the content alone or co-op and in any sequence, Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is an extremely generous package that will take dozens of entertaining hours to complete. With each mission having multiple objectives, there are plenty of reasons to revisit areas several times. Not everything about Victor Vran is new and different, of course, but its solid mechanics and strong personality go a long way towards creating a satisfying play experience.

    We've seen better stories come to live virtually, but Victor Vran makes up for this flaw with enjoyable gameplay, that pretty much guarantees a good time, especially when you've got a friend to play the game with.

    Victor Vran is an excellent port of a solid Diablo clone combining solid 60fps (ish) dungeon crawling with some heavily action-oriented demon-slaying gameplay.

    There is a lot of game in Victor Vran: Overkill Edition and it is a great overall package. As a fun action-RPG, this really shines in multiplayer but is also able to offer a decent single player experience thanks to an engaging loot cycle and customisable combat options.

    More action than RPG, Victor Vran arrives on consoles with a rich Overkill Edition, containing both DLCs and the known humour: if this will be enough or not depends solely on if you already had a chance to play it on PC. Otherwise, we're talking about a solid alternative to Dablo III and the likes.

    The game’s combination of gameplay mechanics set it apart and its execution, while simpler in some aspects than its constituents, is excellently accomplished, making it one of the more polished games in the genre.

    It starts well, and you think it will be a good substitute for Diablo 3. But the ratio of "I really enjoyed that" to "I turned it off becauseIt starts well, and you think it will be a good substitute for Diablo 3. But the ratio of "I really enjoyed that" to "I turned it off because it got tedious" is not good. Fights are long drawn out non-strategic bullet-sponge affairs, usually ending with some ridiculous insta-death fight that requires shuffling different weapons until one works. Tedious in the extreme and not a patch on Diablo.… Full Review »

Similat to Diablo, yet really not a 'clone,' which is a highly overused label that gets applied to just about every isometric fantasy game. There are quite a few unique features to VV though I won't go into detail because going into this game with open expectations, and no spoilers, will leave you pleasantly surprised.

    The controls are tight, and while not customizable, most will find the layout as close to perfect as you can get. The graphics and story are good, not great. The game mechanics have quite a bit of depth; this is one of the things that left me pleasantly surprised. You'll find that many hours can be put into this game, and the Overkill Edition increases those hours of enjoyment by way of two expansion/dlc packs that are not featured in the vanilla version of the game.
