    Really liked the story and the choice of being good and evil.
    But thats about it.
    Way to many loading screens and they were too long(even with a SSD in my PS4 Pro)
    combat is really basic and not fluent.
    After opening your map, movement controls freaked out a few seconds.
    Happy i got this for free with PS+ and didnt pay 60 bucks for it, cause thats way overpriced

    A unique game that takes place in a 1919 epedemic. Interesting game mechanics around who to feed on to level up and develop. However the map is pretty confusing, combat feels clunky and there are serious performance issues. Its a shame as this could be a real gem if they ironed out some of the issues

    Definetly a good SOLID game, it s not a Masterpiece but if you like vampires, rpgs, a good story with likeable characters you should definetly try this game, with an ok combat, good graphics, place in a some what open world setting with side quests, the only things holding it down are, some design choices and ocassional bugs, definetly worth buying, especialy considering it s price at theDefinetly a good SOLID game, it s not a Masterpiece but if you like vampires, rpgs, a good story with likeable characters you should definetly try this game, with an ok combat, good graphics, place in a some what open world setting with side quests, the only things holding it down are, some design choices and ocassional bugs, definetly worth buying, especialy considering it s price at the moment.Great atmosphere and music too!… Expand

    Terrible combat design. Bugged as hell. Interesting story but there are too many bugs that keep you from enjoying this game. Also freezes all the time.

    The game is good, its story is very good, very immersive, a lot of dialog, for those who like games with good and engaging stories will like it a lot, it has its negative sides, some bugs, a lot of loadings, the combat of the game is very simple but nice, I recommend it to anyone who likes games with a good story or likes things related to vampires.

    Całkiem przyzwoita rozgrywka, mocno dokuczają drewniane dialogi i nadmiar walki. W grze nie ma żadnych rewelacji i rewolucji. Pseudo zamknięty świat z długimi loadingami.

    Well polished and intriguing sandbox horror game. With very nice visuals, voice acting and lots to explore.
    But it is a game you need approach with care and thought, because careless advancement will leave you weak. I was lucky in that I kept grinding the first area in the game for hours before advancing in the story to unlock the rest of the city.     If I had just rushed along with the story, I would have struggled greatly, and prolly would've ended up hating the game. As many did...
    So, with that roundabout tip, I leave you with 8/10 score on this quaint, fine little game. Well worth playing.    … Expand

    Great game! I admit, at beginning I wasn’t sure about the game proposal, but I got into quickly. The story remember me the time when I played vampire the maskerade, the paper and pencil RPG! The cons: - loading takes too long!!

    Current rating for PS4 if fair enough ONLY due some aspects of technical execution of the Vampyr project. As for the rest — it’s brilliant and deep, both among and side storylines feel created with so much of love and attention to process. Paying attention to dozens of details the Vampyr is filled with, me as player or more like beholder could enjoy the profound    The game is thrilling good.

    The key thing is that to enjoy it you should take your time and dissolve yourself in the game process. The Vampyr worths it. Any technical flaws are totally eclipsed to me for the magnificent charm of culuturally smart project.

    Great story and game mechanics and a badass soundtrack but the combat is extremely clunky. The feel of the game is amazing until you realize you don’t get better at the combat, the combat gets better at you.

    A game with numerous flaws, glitches, and crashes. Seriously? The game still crashes when you leave a battle or an area with lots of enemies after at least two years have passed. This game is extremely sluggish because of loading screens all throughout. I wonder whether the PS5 can handle this.

    Edit: The PS5 version is noticeably superior. I would rate it an 8.

    Es más aburrido que mirar por la ventana. todo diálogos, para eso mejor ver una película y hay mejor argumento. combates de generación de ps2. parece un juego indie, pero no es un juego indie.

    I finally played this game after getting it on ps plus. It is a totally different experience to any game I've played before. The leveling system and carefully choosing which NPCs deserve to be killed was great, I found gameplay was decent enough and there was a few strats that could be employed to beat enemies. The story is amazing and the world is very well done.

    Good characters Interesting abilities Awesome game for a small budget and old engine Documents in the game. I usually don't read them but in this game they deserve attention. The middle: Combat - I enjoyed it and maybe in the future, a parry will make people love it more (for me it was simple, good, and fun). The bad: - The map and mission checkpoint was    The good:

    Documents in the game. I usually don't read them but in this game they deserve attention.

    The middle:
    Combat - I enjoyed it and maybe in the future, a parry will make people love it more (for me it was simple, good, and fun).

    The bad:
    - The map and mission checkpoint was really annoying. The game had problems so making me open the map all the time was a bad idea.
    - Closed dors. You never see them on the map and you don't see what direction can be opened from
    - too many characters and the main reason they got a short story and we expected to know more about them and never did
    - autosave. Maybe I press the wrong button or skip something... what then? Do I need to replay the game to resolve my mistake? You should at least have a save point after finishing a chapter. I don't want to replay everything again because I didn't understand a question at first or wasn't paying attention that second.
    - big loading screen and loading issues (PS4 PRO)

    Overall the game is very good if you take into consideration the low budget. The ideas and main game are very good and if they had more money and a better engine then 100% of the game would get more love.
    I hope their next game will be better and they will use a better engine.
    Just keep it simple and fun. Don't make 100 documents, I like how it is now with less reading materials but more attention paid to them.
    I gave it 8 because I think they had a great idea when doing the game. I think a great idea deserves to be encouraged and rewarded. Can't give it 10 because of all of the bad things and 9 is also not on the list for me because of the auto save and the fact that you can't enjoy the game if you replay it.    … Expand

The music is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE - some of the best music of any game I’ve played (10/10 for music). Jonathan Reid is the kind of protagonist you want to root for, despite him occasionally “snacking” on the townspeople, and the other charactersThis game doesn’t get nearly enough love. The story is deep and does a great job of immersing you in the 1917 London setting - epidemic and all. The music is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE - some of the best music of any game I’ve played (10/10 for music). Jonathan Reid is the kind of protagonist you want to root for, despite him occasionally “snacking” on the townspeople, and the other characters in the game purposefully move the story along. The voice actors are top notch and despite the consistent hate this game gets for its graphics, I absolutely loved the feel. The creepy, dark, dank setting is perfect and I truly felt like a turn of the century doctor, meandering from town to town, healing the masses as I secretly feast on their kin in a dark alley behind the local pub. I played 3 full walkthroughs of this game and got 3 out of the 4 possible endings, and I enjoyed every minute. The only thing I wasn’t in love with was the combat. It felt a little janky/repetitive at times and by the end of the game I preferred running past enemies as opposed to fighting them. Overall, I give the game a 9/10 and I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes a rich story and a “choices have consequences” game model.… Expand

    Pretty good storyline but the bad realization of the game world.
    Also pretty bad fighting system. And another game mechanics feel pretty **** But because of Lady Ashbury (she's is my crush), I won't give this game 1 of 10. I won't recommend this game to buy, better watch game film on YouTube and buy something else.

    Душные персонажи, скучные бои, нет баланса между разговорной частью (когда ты приходишь в новый район и просто начинаешь 2 часа бегать между персонажами, раскрывая их тайны) и боевой (то же самое, только со стороны скучной боевки), интересное исследование мира (по дарк соуловски - можно найти неожиданные интересные вещи по углам игрового мира), у игрока слишком мало мотивации пить кровь вДушные персонажи, скучные бои, нет баланса между разговорной частью (когда ты приходишь в новый район и просто начинаешь 2 часа бегать между персонажами, раскрывая их тайны) и боевой (то же самое, только со стороны скучной боевки), интересное исследование мира (по дарк соуловски - можно найти неожиданные интересные вещи по углам игрового мира), у игрока слишком мало мотивации пить кровь в силу отстойной прокачки.

Отдельно бы хотел отметить атмосферу, музыку и мир, созданный разработчиками, короче лор, не знаю, как ещё объяснить)). А что говорят про боёвку в этой игре - это всё правда, она очень унылая.     Vampyr is a very interesting game, with differents points of view, i personally really like the fact that it as correct cultural information, and the sound tracka are just amazing. The way which interaction with the characters may change the outcome is incredible, the game makes you feel engaged with ste story. The only down side that i see is the combat because is not so fluid.     really hated how it felt like the writers were constantly punishing me for making what seemed like moral choices (ex: my eyes turning permanently "evil"/bloodshot red for killing a literal serial killer, sparing a character leading to innocent civilians getting murdered because surprise! he's a psychopath)..would've worked better for me if most of the choices & outcomes had anyreally hated how it felt like the writers were constantly punishing me for making what seemed like moral choices (ex: my eyes turning permanently "evil"/bloodshot red for killing a literal serial killer, sparing a character leading to innocent civilians getting murdered because surprise! he's a psychopath)..would've worked better for me if most of the choices & outcomes had any foreshadowing whatsoever. basically "[GLASS HIM]: the game".. unlike in a game like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, finding out more information about characters has no real payoff or impact on the plot unless you're planning on eating them.

    P.S. It's 2022 guys, why is the PS4 version of your game still crashing every 45 minutes    … Expand

    Un buen juego. Posee una buena trama donde las desiciones realmente importan, buena música, buen sistema de combate aunque muy simple.
    Como puntos negativos : La versión de PS4 tiene muchos bugs y el final es algo decepcionante.

    For those looking for a unique, dread-filled experience in the RPG realm, Vampyr offers a type of game seldom seen. But much like the streets of 1918 London, expect a few bumps along the way.

    Vampyr is unique. It’s not beautiful, its combat leaves much to be desired and its limited budget shows, but if you choose to turn a blind eye to these flaws, it will captivate you with its mature, morally ambiguous story and a series of dilemmas that usually lack a “right” answer.
