    Square Enix has been producing some really bad JRPGs of late. FF Origins was bad enough, but this manages to be even worse. PS2 era looks and gameplay, and very little content as well. I really cannot believe they are selling this kind of game at full price, when it should be one of those with launch price of 19.95 max. Even if you are fan of JRPGs, this is not worth buying for any reason.Square Enix has been producing some really bad JRPGs of late. FF Origins was bad enough, but this manages to be even worse.     Square Enix made no effort into making this game fun for the fans. Feels like shiney Play station 2 graphics, level design horrible, dry characters, bad plot. Only good thing is the music. Been a fan since Lenneth back in 1999. Idk just butt hurt that this could franchise could have been epic if in the right hands. Just wait for the price drop if anyone really wants to play it.

    Lame try to revive the Valkyrie Profile IP.

    >Story is boring and cheap. >Repetitive scenarios, repetitive reskinned enemies the entire game. >No real exploration, pretty much nothing to do except fight. >Extra quests are SO LAME, its just repetitive "go to the same area, clear the enemies again". >NPCs are just light on the map, no art, anodyne dialogues, it's totally uninteresting.    Lame try to revive the Valkyrie Profile IP.

    Only 2 good things IMO, the combat is ok and the bosses are really good. Bosses were the sole reason why i didn't drop this game.
    Soleil doesn't know what they are doing. This game reeks low-effort.
    Also, it runs kind of bad on PS4, Nibelung Valesti animation looks like running at 15fps, same when theres too many enemies on screen.    … Expand

    If I had to put it simply, Valkyrie Elysium is a great classic action RPG. With great art direction, inspiring music and very fluid and agile action, it’s a spicy cocktail for players that enjoy some fast-paced gameplay.
