Apr 12, 2017This is a little marvel. I absolutely love how cute this game is. Yet it is challenging. Feels very polished and does what it sets out do to. I'd love to see a follow-up.

Mar 23, 2017I tried to give this game a chance but it just kind of got tedious to me after a while. Which is such a shame because it has great graphics. Not much to say other than that.

Feb 10, 2016This game shows that good visuals and physics can mask a game's bad level design and poorly made puzzles that can be often exploited without using the elements intended for use by the developer.
-
Jul 3, 2017Similar to Child of Light and Limbo.
Not really my type of game, not enough action and having to solve "simple puzzles" feels more like work than fun for me. -
Jun 24, 2016The game is beautiful but not a good puzzle platformer. No really new elements are introduced to increase complexity of puzzles. The puzzles are sparse (mostly you just run right), and simple (mostly involve tying a rope bridge off or tying two things together). Very boring.

Feb 18, 2016Yarny???? more like Yawny. What a let down and boring experience, the only thing going for it is the lovely graphics, other than that, its a let down.......

Jan 28, 2019A pretty game with yawny gameplay. Tried like 6 times to progress, always slept. The music is annoying. Such overrated platformer, EA games sold their souls to devil.

Jun 17, 2018A fun little puzzle platformer that contained an amazing presentation and fun (easy) puzzles. But the story was a bit too vague, and the game was a bit too easy most of the way. Plus there were some clunky elements to the game. But I still enjoyed it for the most part..

Jan 31, 2018A cutesy puzzle platformer for the young and old. Not really my thing but I enjoyed what I played of it none the less.

Feb 21, 2016As much visually impressive as it is completely forgettable gameplay-wise, unravel is going to end up in 2016 disappointing games list for sure. Stunning visuals and nice soundtrack do not compensate for complete lack of inspiration in puzzle/platforming design

Mar 20, 2021This small indie title presents a charming nostalgic story through a puzzle platformer. The themes and narrative of Unravel do a great job of conveying the vision of the development studio. However the platforming doesn't feel great and some of the puzzles have a design that cannot be solved after the first attempt.

Sep 19, 2021A fun experience and relaxed gameplay make this game a good choice for when you need to play something more slow and chill. I really liked the puzzles even tho sometimes the controls made it harder than it really is. I really recommend this.

Edge MagazineApr 10, 2016Like its enigmatic protagonist, Unravel is never anything less than charming, even during moments when it doesn't quite hold together. [April 2016, p.108]
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKApr 10, 2016A platform-puzzler with real heart, Unravel makes up for mechanical shortcomings with a world as palpable as it is pretty. It's no classic, but it's a memorable journey all the same. [Apr 2016, p.90]

Apr 7, 2016I spent a very long time trying to come up with a reason to mark Unravel down as a game but I just… can’t! Really, I can’t think of one negative thing to say about it. From the visuals to the audio, the smooth and responsive gameplay (and lack of glitches) to the touching story/message; there is nothing wrong with this game. Honestly, if you even slightly enjoy puzzle or platformer games, even slightly, buy Unravel. Do it.
