    This is a little marvel. I absolutely love how cute this game is. Yet it is challenging. Feels very polished and does what it sets out do to. I'd love to see a follow-up.

    This game looks and sounds great. The environments are so beautiful, they really can suck you in and make you remember times in your own life that were pivotal or give you that feeling of nostalgia. However, no matter how great a game looks, it still needs to be fun. Unravel has moments of fun gaming, but almost all of the puzzles are too easy to figure out. The hardest thing about theThis game looks and sounds great. The environments are so beautiful, they really can suck you in and make you remember times in your own life that were pivotal or give you that feeling of nostalgia. However, no matter how great a game looks, it still needs to be fun. Unravel has moments of fun gaming, but almost all of the puzzles are too easy to figure out. The hardest thing about the game is the controls, which are mostly fine, but that can cause frustration during an otherwise simple task in the game. Fun, but definitely not one of the all-time greats of platforming or puzzling.… Expand

    I tried to give this game a chance but it just kind of got tedious to me after a while. Which is such a shame because it has great graphics. Not much to say other than that.

    This game shows that good visuals and physics can mask a game's bad level design and poorly made puzzles that can be often exploited without using the elements intended for use by the developer.

    Similar to Child of Light and Limbo.
    Not really my type of game, not enough action and having to solve "simple puzzles" feels more like work than fun for me.

    The game is beautiful but not a good puzzle platformer. No really new elements are introduced to increase complexity of puzzles. The puzzles are sparse (mostly you just run right), and simple (mostly involve tying a rope bridge off or tying two things together). Very boring.

    -Beautiful graphics. The backgrounds are astonishing.
    -No puzzles are infuriating. At most they might require you 5 minutes to look around at your surroundings to figure out what you needed to do. Neutral: -The puzzles can be simplistic to the point of knowing what you had to do before you even knew why you had to do it (pst, if there is a movable object you are going to need    PROS:

    -The puzzles can be simplistic to the point of knowing what you had to do before you even knew why you had to do it (pst, if there is a movable object you are going to need to move it). This does help keep a good pace to the game though.
    -Story is played out through a photo album nothing is ever explicitly told to you. It is just alright. The ending tried to be emotional but I didn't feel anything from it.    … Expand

    This game is like combination of "truncated" Limbo and "truncated" Botanicula. Quite cool platformer with easy but interesting puzzles.
    Makes an impression of relaxing at first, but later I found that something is not right here, like if something didn't suit well the gameplay - the music.     And since we mention story - please take really serious ratings for this game. This is REALLY not the game for small children. So don't be fooled by "little cute and nice creature" unless you want to risk difficult conversation with your 4yo kid about LGBT agenda. And belive me small kids DO really ask about anything they see even if they don't play. This game is an example of how evil things may be smuggled in nice cover. I didn't expect this as a parent and feel now little deceived.
    There is nothing wrong with heavy topics for adults, but why this "childish" form?    … Expand

    Yarny???? more like Yawny. What a let down and boring experience, the only thing going for it is the lovely graphics, other than that, its a let down.......

    A pretty game with yawny gameplay. Tried like 6 times to progress, always slept. The music is annoying. Such overrated platformer, EA games sold their souls to devil.

    A fun little puzzle platformer that contained an amazing presentation and fun (easy) puzzles. But the story was a bit too vague, and the game was a bit too easy most of the way. Plus there were some clunky elements to the game. But I still enjoyed it for the most part..

    Игра-головоломка, не более. Тут пытаются рассказать какой-то сюжет, который ты забудешь на следующей неделе.     The game is alright, not too long but sweet and unique. It is a 2d puzzle game that you are a yarn creature and use your own yarn to solve puzzles. The puzzles are simple and neat. The first two levels are a little slow but I feel the game gets better and I kinda finished the rest of levels in one sitting.
    There is just one thing I dislike, the music. I knew the devs put a lot of effort    The game is alright, not too long but sweet and unique.     A cutesy puzzle platformer for the young and old. Not really my thing but I enjoyed what I played of it none the less.

    Unravel is undeniably charming, yet it is frequently frustrating and sometimes infuriating due to poor puzzle design. However, when the game is flowing it works very well. The game's poignant moments gel together well and the protagonist is a wonderful creation. The graphics are also worthy of praise. It's just a shame that the platforming isn't particularly fun as it repeatedly irritatesUnravel is undeniably charming, yet it is frequently frustrating and sometimes infuriating due to poor puzzle design. However, when the game is flowing it works very well. The game's poignant moments gel together well and the protagonist is a wonderful creation. The graphics are also worthy of praise.     As much visually impressive as it is completely forgettable gameplay-wise, unravel is going to end up in 2016 disappointing games list for sure. Stunning visuals and nice soundtrack do not compensate for complete lack of inspiration in puzzle/platforming design

    This small indie title presents a charming nostalgic story through a puzzle platformer. The themes and narrative of Unravel do a great job of conveying the vision of the development studio. However the platforming doesn't feel great and some of the puzzles have a design that cannot be solved after the first attempt.

    A fun experience and relaxed gameplay make this game a good choice for when you need to play something more slow and chill. I really liked the puzzles even tho sometimes the controls made it harder than it really is. I really recommend this.

Der besondere Clou des Spielprinzips - als wandelndes Garnknäul, können wir uns mit Hilfe von Garnfäden über Abhänge schwingen, Wände hinaufklettern, oder Trampline spannen, um uns auf höhere Plattformen zu katapultieren. Spielmechanisch toll "eingefädelt", lernen wir immer neue Optionen kennenUnravel ist ein narrativer Puzzle Plattformer im Stile eines Inside oder des phänomenalen GRIS. Der besondere Clou des Spielprinzips - als wandelndes Garnknäul, können wir uns mit Hilfe von Garnfäden über Abhänge schwingen, Wände hinaufklettern, oder Trampline spannen, um uns auf höhere Plattformen zu katapultieren. Spielmechanisch toll "eingefädelt", lernen wir immer neue Optionen kennen und puzzeln uns so von Bildschirm zu Bildschirm. Dabei begleiten uns die Bilder und Episoden einer Familiengeschichte. Allerdings muss man sagen, dass das Leveldesign dabei nicht ganz die Qualität eines Inside oder GRIS erreicht. Mich persönlich catched auch die Grundidee weniger als das dystopische Setting eines Inside, oder die Melancholie eines GRIS. Dennoch ist Unravel ein gelungener Puzzle-Plattformer, der sich hinter den Erstgenannten nicht verstecken muss.… Expand

    I spent a very long time trying to come up with a reason to mark Unravel down as a game but I just… can’t! Really, I can’t think of one negative thing to say about it. From the visuals to the audio, the smooth and responsive gameplay (and lack of glitches) to the touching story/message; there is nothing wrong with this game. Honestly, if you even slightly enjoy puzzle or platformer games, even slightly, buy Unravel. Do it.
