In general it was a fun game, and since they are relatively short, you can do all the three games in a row.
PROS: Story is engaging, scenarios are delightful, and fights are fun, missions with vehicles too.
CONS: Platform areas felt too linear, almost impossible to fail.

Down to zero, since they don't know how to properly balance difficulty. Managed to get to last chapters of Uncharted 2, and i'm done with their games. I hate it when a game is managable for the most part, but some idiot makes one part artificially difficult, and i have to make dozens of attempts to beat it. There won't be any more money for this company from me.

I had never played the Uncharted games on PS3 so this was a brand new experience for me. I understand the "cheesiness" may have been intentional to appeal to a wider audience but I absolutely wasn't expecting to feel so disconnected from basically all of the characters, including Drake. I would maybe buy this compilation for $10 if I had to do it all over again, definitely not worth the $50 I paid for it. Expand

What to say ? We have 3 games which each of them deserve to be in Hall of fame best games in history, all in one place better than ever and remastered for better GFX... Even better is that multiplayer is thrown out so games are sweet for people who doesn't play online to run for platinum! We could not get better intro into Uncharted 4 ...

I never played much of the Uncharted series beforehand but this collection has taken me completely by surprise. There are many outdated elements and frustrating sections but all three games have been updated so beautifully and with great attention to detail. Not particularly challenging but very moreish.

You pay full retail price for a new release not a rehash remaster with a few tweaks here & there. Not good enough. Zero points. Sony wouldn't make it backward compatible so you have to buy it again for PS4. Many games you bought on a 360 you won't have to buy again shortly when backward compatibility is introduced. I honestly lost count of how many times I've played this series and that did not stop me from having a lot of fun with the remastered ones. Also, the collection does not include Multiplayer (but who cares?). Some thoughts on each of the games:

    1) Drake's Fortune: I was not too impressed by the remaster; though the game continues to be incredibly fun. The game was a launch title for the PS3, so it still has a late-PS2, early-PS3 feel to it, which makes it hard to fully revamp it. I would even say that I prefer the original PS3 version. But the game is awesome and I could not put it down.

    2) Among thieves: the high gem of the series. The remaster here is incredible and the game looks more beautiful than ever. So, so much fun. This is by far one of the best adventure games I have ever played, and the PS4 version is amazing.

    3) Drake's deception: I still think U3 does not come even close to the greatness of U2, but it does have some jaw dropping moments - the plane scene in particular is so cool. Also the part with the horses is very cool. The game is fun, it's just not as fun and polished like U2 (don't even get me started on the thug-clones). Being a late-PS3 game, it's easy to see how the remaster got even more beautiful than the original release.

They could've included the VITA version; but I get Naughty Dog's opinion on this. Anyway, this collection deserves to be played.

Such a deal!! Again, sarcasm. Uncharted has never been about the multiplayer, it was tacked on at best and only gained a cult following in 3. Multiplayer in almost every game is highly overrated. Babies who whine about it not being in every single game ever released need to recognize that the rest of us have grown up and recognized what a repetitive slog most MO games are. I expected the game to play like the modern Tomb Raider games and it does, but the combat is even more excessive, repetitive, and frustrating. The game is really more of an on-rails shooter than adventure game, and it does the combat very poorly. There is no auto-aim option, the camera is wonky, and mobs spawn from all directions (including previously cleared rooms) like a 1990s FPS. It's just bad. Adding to the frustration, you have to spend most of your time collecting ammo like in a survival game. It requires scouting around every corpse for a flashing thing on the ground and then pressing a button to loot. It's very easy to accidentally swap weapons instead of looting ammo. It's obnoxious and feels like a throwback to an ancient era best forgotten. I can't say whether the games improve as one moves through the collection because I am not enjoying myself enough to push through the entire series of games. The game play in my opinion is what really holds this game back, at least in the first 2 games from being a masterpiece. Some of the cover mechanics do not seem to be intuitive. This coming from a game that was released after Gears of War on Xbox 360 just didn't feel right with the cover. In the first game you cannot move on cover while aiming, and some cover in all 3 games have a break (IE 2 boxes not exactly side by side) where you cannot move between both boxes. A lot of walls are larger then the model appears making for a lot of invisible walls. One of the biggest issues I had while playing on a harder difficulty is when you clear out about 2-3 waves of dudes, another wave will come from where you entered the room/area. This happens multiple times making combat seem very repetitive and stale. The gun pallet is diverse but you'll find yourself only really having between 2-4 options throughout the game in any given area. Once you move into a new area, and a new weapon is introduced, the old one will not be available in that area (once you come across the m4, the ak-47 is no longer dropped by enemies.

The story and characters are what really hold up this game. Besides one of the people who you are trying to beat to the treasure in the second game, there is not a single badly written character, and really the only reason I did not like this person is because I did not know enough about them as to why they are doing what they are doing. There are a few plot drivers that I thought that didnt make sense, but it is an action video game not a drama so nothing too major to mention.

Drake and his band of misfits are so greatly acted. They introduce Cutter in Uncharted 3, and I have yet to see him in the new Uncharted 4 trailers but i hope they bring him back. Everyone did a great job with portraying each character.

Overall the game has a few shortcomings as far as cover and game play, but the story and characters are fantastic and are a great reason to play the game(s)

Uncharted is one of my FAVORITE first party franchises on the playstation. They offer crazy, over the top action, amazing setpiece battles, and intriguing, fun stories with characters that make it feel all the more alive. I'm glad to say nothing has changed here, all the games are still wild rides from start to finish. (I will be addressing all the games in general, they are all fairly similar.

The uncharted trilogy follows treasure hunter Nathan Drake, his best friend/ father figure Victor Sullivan, and his girlfriend Elena, as they chase down different treasures from the clutches of a variety of different villains who somehow have endless armies of identical goons. There's definitely an Indiana Jones like aspect here, and i believe these games will appeal to fans of that series. throughout the game, you shoot enemies, mow down vehicles, jump, climb, and solve puzzles.

The combat is what takes up 99% of the games' play time, broken up by puzzles, vehicle sections, being rewarded with cutscenes furthering the plot. And the games are maybe a bit short on plot. The first one focuses on Drake and Co. hunting the gold of El Dorado. The second one focuses on Drake and Co. hunting for the city of Shambala. The third one is about Drake and Co. hunting some ring or something. Yeah,, the overall plots are similar, but the locales, setpieces, and characters are all vastly different in every game. The first one takes place in mostly jungles and ruins. The second one takes place in mostly temples and modern cities. The third one actually has quite the variety with it's locales. I do like this quite a bit.

The gameplay is tried and true third person shooting. You get a two weapon limit in your inventory. You pick up ammo, grenades, and swap out other weapons by looting bodies and finding them leaning against walls. This is almost always fun. But I have to say, all the games sorta drag and up the difficulty EXTREMELY in the 3rd quarter of the game, rejuvenating in the final few battles. This problem is especially apparent in 2, which i THINK is the longest one.

There are also puzzles. The puzzles are very challenging and make you think. These parts are quite a departure from the shooting, and it's much appreciated. It offers a nice change of pace for a few minutes. I really do like the puzzles. Then there's the turret and vehicle sections. Turret sections usually involve you on a truck, shooting other vehicles with a turret or missiles. These parts up the ante and you still feel excitement.

Remaster-wise, Uncharted 2/3 look great. The plane crash part in 3 is especially outstanding. Uncharted 1 however, doesn't really hold up that well. The Uncharted collection is a great way for people who have not experienced these great games to get all 3 at a great low price, just in time for Uncharted 4 next year. I do recommend it, and it earns my seal of approval.

Sometime I just find it ignorant by some of the reviewer down here didnt even bother to do some proper research. "vgmkyle" Naughty Dog isnt even touching The Nathan Drake Collection, its Bluepoint games who are behind this! Now move on.

I would rate this a higher value if they could include the Uncharted MP that I love. Still the SinglePlayer alone is still amazing to playthrough.

I would rate this a higher value if they could include the Uncharted MP that I love. Still the SinglePlayer alone is still amazing to playthrough. Uncharted 2 rivals most games back in the ps3 era which show the talent of Naughty Dog. For people who are new to this franchise. If you want Indiana Jones vibe Action/Adventure this game give you some of the most rollercoaster ride ever in video games.

I am a Uncharted Veteran. Do not be mistaken its still amazing series. I just have higher standards of games compared to back then. Waves of enemies, no approach to stealth, never been a huge fan of the gunplay.

I noticed the 60 FPS makes a huge different and the visuals see huge improvment.

Uncharted 4 A Thiefs End will be a phenomenal. After making TLOU Im not worried at all they are going to surprise me and they have learned alot from making TLOU.

I am so excited for the Beta anyway. But for newcomers this is an amazing start to know adventurer Nathan Drake before Uncharted 4 comes early next year. PS4 is getting a price drop with the collection or wait for it to price drop if you wanted.

Jumpin jupiters and holy hype, Batman! I've longed to play these games since I saw a youtube clip of UC2 winning numerous GOTY awards, but good grief, Charlie Brown, the wait was NOT worth it.

You play Nathan Drake, a goofy nobody that somehow is an expert marksman and climbing enthusiast. His friends and fellow adventurers find a series of clues that are key to unlocking a historical mystery from Marco Polo. The dialogue is excellent, the voice acting is top-notch, and the plot engrosses you immediately, then drops you dead in the waters of on-rails climbing sequences, and mediocre shooting mechanics.

What hurts the gameplay so, so badly is there is 0 progression. There's no RPG elements of growing stronger, no perks to customize play style, no A.I. teammates to command, no loadouts, usable items, vehicles, abilities, minimal secrets, no side missions, NOTHING.

There's nothing but climbing a wall, poking around for the developer-intended place for you to push the jump button, repeat this for about 30 min, then have a by-the-numbers shootout. You grind this out to get another piece of the story like a trained dog performing tricks.

It pans out to be another one of those "playable movies" where you can get everything you want from it in a youtube playthrough.

I'm most upset at Dunkey. He's the one that tuned me into UC2. He was shredding Assassin's Creed, and comparing it to THIS! I think he was bought for this one. Still love you, Dunk.

Watch a youtube playthrough and pass this one. Too much hype.

I can't really make a review of this game since every game is different, although the same. But i'll try my best.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: First game in the series, I really like it but I have lots of problems with it. Don't get me wrong it's a good game but feels... different than the others. If I could give this a separate review, I would give it a 6/10. It's not a bad game but also not a bad one.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: By far my favorite, I don't even know how many times I replayed the whole campaign. The game is perfect, whether it's the story, gameplay or even multiplayer, but i'll get into that later. The story is REALLY good and feels like a action movie. Can't really make a good short of the story, so i'll quote Nickeltoe from IMDB. "After being tracked down by Harry Flynn, Nathan Drake goes on a quest for Marco Polo' lost fleet. However when things take an unexpected turn for the worst, Drake must rely on those closest to him in order to find the Cintomani Stone". The gameplay is the best part of this game, most things are scripted, but even if they are, they are just perfect. The action is the main part here, from jumping on a going train and killing hundreds of enemies, to falling building that you have to escape from, it's just great. Shooting mechanics are pretty simple nothing much to say. Now let's talk a little about multiplayer. For some reason, it's not in the Collection, which is a bad thing in my opinion. I spent tons of hours in the multiplayer because of how good it was. Sure it had lots of DLC and was sometimes annoying, but I loved it and wanted to play more. But unfortunatly they didn't add this to the game and it lowers my overall review by 1 point. Game on PS3: 9/10 | PS4 Collection: 8/10 for lack of multiplayer.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception: I love this one. It's great in any way. Story, Gameplay and everything else is just perfect. Won't really talk about it long since it's basiclly upgraded Uncharted 2, but i'ts a great game and I recommend it to everyone. 9/10.

Overall review of the collection itself is 8. I didn't like how they deleted multiplayer, and changed nothing but the textures. Although it was a nice feeling coming back to this series after 4 years.

Just bought a PS4 and really enjoying the Uncharted Series for the first time. The set pieces, characters and story are great, but the shooting/enemy AI leave something to be desired. Difficulty is not hard so don't be afraid to bump it up high to get those trophies! Overall, lots of fun.

Ok this gives me a Tomb Raider-ish sort of vibe. However Nathan Drake is not just a male Lara Croft. He seems more of a cheeky rogue and a bit of a A-hole. By the numbers story action adventure things happen with blah, blah, blah dialogue you get the drift.

Ah now I see why the combat was a total jank fest in The Last of US. The creators built it off the laughably bad Nathan Drake clunky combat system. Building a home on poor foundations is not a really good idea. At least the creators toned down the bullet sponge human enemy types in The Last of Us.

Can't really bash on the platforming sections. Horizon Zero Dawn kind of uses the same climbing mechanics in this gen of gaming. Oh wait I thought that part of the HZD game was poorly done, oh damn it.

The story telling sort of works. The combat so does'nt work and platforming kind of works mostly. Age has nothing to do with the failures of these PS3 games remastered for the PS4. I have played old PC ports of games from the PS2 and first Xbox era a complete generation before the PS3 and they have still wowed me on Steam in today’s day.

I think I died over 20 times in some portions of the game. If I would have set the difficulty on the harder levels I would have understood that, but I set it on Normal because I wanted a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
I don't think I am that bad, and I'll just give you an example on why I think the game is way too hard: in one of the final fighting scenes, hiding behind a crate resulted countless times in me beying one shoted (while staying behind such crate) cause the crate gets shatered on boom, instant death. That is not damn Normal Diffculty!

The upscaled graphics and updated textures look good on the ps4, but I have a some issues with the controller I felt it a bit clunky, also a lot of glitches, many of them in Uncharted 3. Don't remember having those glitches on the ps3 version.

For those people who didn't play the originals this collection is worth a try.

The quality and fun factor varies between the games. Uncharted 1 being the most generic, Uncharted 2 a most play and a classic of last gen and Uncharted 3 the most frustrating, but all of them are a must play.

If you like action-adventure games this is a solid buy. I fancy action over puzzles so the uncharted games fits my profile like a glove :) Had tons of fun with all of them. Naughty dog is one of the major driving forces in the gaming industry if you ask me - their games pushing things to next level.

The perfect collection or exactly what you want from a remaster. The last time I saw a collection this great was the Orange Box back in 2007. That collection had Half-Life 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. This collection has Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2, and Uncharted 3. All three are fantastic games and truth be told, as a former Xbox 360 owner, I had no idea how good these games are.

That collection had Half-Life 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. This collection has Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2, and Uncharted 3. All three are fantastic games and truth be told, as a former Xbox 360 owner, I had no idea how good these games are.

The first game looks dated. The gameplay holds up but despite the gloss of a remaster, the backgrounds and textures scream last gen. The second game looks great, like a those games released in 2013 and 2014 that were on both PS4 and PS3. The third game looks fantastic. You can see how Naughty Dog was pushing the power of the PS3, and the remaster holds up well against current releases. Good design lasts.

Game play, as I mentioned, holds up well. Like most games released after Halo, Drake has regenerative health is limited to two weapons. He can also stick to cover which works well because this is a third person game. Unlike most shooters, Drake can dodge roll, climb, and jump to grab ledges. If you played the Tomb Raider reboot on the Xbox 360, then you know how this plays, because the Tomb Raider reboot is a straight rip-off of Uncharted only with terrible dialogue. The shooting can be challenging and each game ramps up the difficulty. I was playing on easy to breeze through the story and there were a few checkpoints I had trouble passing. The fights can get mean in a good way.

The real gem of the Uncharted games are the story and dialogue. Drake complains about all the things other video game heroes ignore such as getting wet, enemies constantly setting up ambushes, and falling terrain. He's funny. His A.I. companions are funny too and sometimes they manage to kill enemies. The set pieces are also gorgeous and unforgettable. Uncharted 2 perhaps has the best sequences, the train and the car chase. I recommend playing the games in order, as Naughty Dog ramps up everything with each game, and Uncharted 1 has some great sequences you should enjoy in context.

Finally, while the value of a game does not affect the score I give it, the Uncharted Collection is an incredible value. I picked it for $8 during a PSN sale but it usually retails for around $20. This is a no-brainer purchase.

Possibly one of the most fun franchises I had to play. I started off with Uncharted 2 which to this day is still possibly the greatest one in terms of story and gameplay. It also had the best online... which we will talk about in a moment.
Sadly the first game just feels dated, it is the first game so that's to be expected. Still it had a good story in it but the controls? Heh... old PS3

Uncharted 3 on the other hand was pretty good but I never really had gotten into it. It was a good game non-the-less however it wasn't as pulling as Uncharted 2 was.

Now about Uncharted 2... the one thing that ruined this package from being complete was no online. Uncharted 2 has the best online hands down where it took 1-4 shots to kill someone and no one was for some reason a walking tank that took hits like a darn robot.
Unfortunately this can't get a 10 for missing content like Uncharted 2's online. The most balanced and fair game when it came to that.

The Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. ForThe Nathan Drake Collection is one of the most faithful definition of "remaster": the games are basically the same as the original PlayStation 3 versions, but with "1080p/60 frames per second" and little more. The only exception is the first Uncharted where it's clear how there has been a rehash with improved textures, especially faces and character models, and better graphics effects. For what matters, given the high graphic quality of the original games, you might need a magnifying glass to notice substantial differences, which on Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 are difficult to notice with the naked eye and without a direct comparison. Gameplay is exactly-the-same as the originals although the commands responsiveness and action flow benefits a lot from the 60 frames per second and come to mind that this is how they should have been played right from the start of their release back in the days.

However, if there is something that shouldn't have been added, that's the "BRUTAL" difficulty mode. Uncharted was already a demanding challenge at "CRUSHING" mode but for some reason Bluepoint thought of going further.

If in "CRUSHING" mode Nate has 50% less health/damage power and enemies deal double their damage, in "BRUTAL" mode, beside these, enemies also deal the double-of-the-double the damage. But they did not stop there: also ammunition drops were reduced to just pathetic quantities. Well-targeted headshots would be a mandatory technique, too bad that the enemies' mobility makes them basically impossible to hit to the head to kill them quickly and save ammunition.

In short, as most of players said, "BRUTAL" mode is just wrong: there was no need for it and it's badly done. I can't speak for others but personally I have no problems with third-person shooters: I finished much more basically difficult TPSs than Uncharted games, such as Spec Ops: The Line on "FUBAR" difficulty mode and also the Japanese incarnation of TPSs, Binary Domain, on "NO MERCY" difficulty mode. But those games, besides being a more extreme yet genuine challenge, were designed for those modes. Uncharted games were not designed for this "BRUTAL" mode, so it's a mistake to have it introduced. At least finishing the games in this mode it's not needed for the Platinum trophy, as the trophies for this mode are part of the "Extended Collection Trophies" separated group.

I wouldn't recommend The Nathan Drake Collection to people who, like me, already played all 3 games on PlayStation 3 – I got it because of Sony ‘Play At Home’ initiative in April 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic, which gave the collection for free.

However, in 2015, Naughty Dog estimated (somehow) that 80% of PlayStation 4 owners didn't play the Uncharted trilogy. So for those who are new to Uncharted, The Nathan Drake Collection is definitely recommended: you will play Nathan Drake's daring odyssey and story – and playing A Thief's End after playing the trilogy is better – but you will also play an important part of PlayStation 3's (hi)story and of a gaming era that, believe it or not, started 15 years ago and back then neither who played, nor who created, these games could tell for sure of the lasting impact they eventually had as of today.

Let me give a little context. My first experience with Naughty Dog was with Crash Bandicoot which was AWESOME of course. My second was with The Last Of Us which is now one of my favorite games of all time.

I just finished Uncharted 1-3 and I'm surprised to have a love-hate relationship with them. The things they do well, they do SO well. The large action set-pieces, the details everywhere, the grand scale of the adventures you go on, and even the voice acting and excellent facial animations. Sometimes the acting is a little hokey, but i think that is intentional.

Then there were things that bothered me equally as much. The joke of a cover system and all the frustrating deaths they caused may have been the biggest. I believe they nailed the cover system with TLOU, and hope they never go back. The cheap setups for deaths was also incredibly frustrating. it's not good writing, or gaming for that matter, to walk out onto a bridge and be one-shot-killed by an RPG. There's numerous spots where you just have to know what's going to happen or do something very specifically, or you die. There were also small things too like fluctuating enemy health, grenade throwback not working, etc.

Overall, I believe I have a much more unbiased view than many people here. I'm not looking back on these games with rose colored glasses. There are issues with them, and they are NOT perfect games by any means. Ignore the 10/10 reviews .. but equally, ignore the 1/10 reviews as well! Both are very wrong. These games fall somewhere in the middle... however, the love that Naughty Dog puts into their games is VERY evident. These are REALLY good games that are GREAT at times. The opening of Uncharted 2 & 3 are, in my opinion, perfect. It's just too bad the quality seems to falter in certain areas that REALLY hurt the overall score.
