    What an absolute gem of a game. Naughty Dog never fails to impress. Their last outing was a different genre and it was amaze-balls and this one too following UC series footsteps and striking the right chord.

    It is a game where even the gameplay takes a backseat to Naughty Dog’s brilliant storytelling that unravels the mystery through puzzles, with some light hearted moments like Drake’s retired life, married life with Elena, some really emotional moments between the lead characters and plenty of humour which kept me laughing the whole time I was playing unlike any other game.
    All these factors makes this game an awesome experience and serves as a perfect send off to NATHAN DRAKE, one of our most beloved gaming characters. Thanks to #Naughty Dog and #Sony for giving us with one of the most memorable franchise for our generation. An Unforgettable Journey !    … Expand

    Truly beautiful game with an amazing eye for details! The game has great graphics and outshines every single other console game. Definitely a game for the people who enjoy a great story over non-repetitive gameplay. Animations are gorgeous and the game even hints to some 4th wall breaking from time to time.     Uncharted 4 sticks with the proven formula that has made the franchise shine amonst many other games. Gameplay wise it does not take any risks at all, but the once solid gameplay mechanics are polished beyond perfection this time arround. Shooting mechanics are improved, fire arms feel realistic, cover system is more reliable this time arround, climbing and jumping feel more responsive andUncharted 4 sticks with the proven formula that has made the franchise shine amonst many other games. Shooting mechanics are improved, fire arms feel realistic, cover system is more reliable this time arround, climbing and jumping feel more responsive and natural. Uncharted 4 introduces a hook, which leads to some fantastic showcase of Nathan Drake's dexterity, and can be used in combat aswell, making the movement across the battlefield feel natural and spectacular. Stealth mechanics where added in this new entry of the series, altough minimal and basic in functions, they add a layer of depth much needed in the series, and can make your work easier when facing large gropus of enemies, though stealth is not forced upon the player at any time, and there are no real punishments for screwing over a stealth aproach, which is a good thing in these series. Uncharted 4 also showcases semi open world enviroments in some of its chapters, and offer a variety of paths to travel into, which is a neat addition to the game, but nowhere as complex as a sandbox game, but its clear that wasn't the developer's intention here.

    Technicalwise, the game is impresive. The graphics are amongst the best i have experienced so far in this generation, standing over games like the Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight or Bloodborne, at a very solid 30fps, with dips so rare and uncommon they can be labeled unexistent, even at the crazy over the top action set pieces filled with hundreds if not thousands of objects traversing the screen, and many enviromental effects: its a technical masterpiece. Sound design is also great: the voices distort when traversing caves or closed envoriments, so does the sounds of firearms. The atention to detail is exquisite, from one of the most realistic rain effects ever seen, to the underwater explotions lightning the water at the beggining of the game, or the distortion of shadows standing on water, or the surface of water being disturbed by the wind, or the light piercing over the treetops to land on a muddy surface: this is the most alive gaming world yet, when it comes to its enviroments and setting. Facial expresions are extremely realistic, and set a benchmark for games to come in the future.

    Story wise the game is also great, but it comes with some pacing problems at the early chapters, but still it does make up for it with great character development and narrative fundations which flourish at the later chapters. Nathan's brother, Sam, ends up being one of the best characters in the series, and its relationship with his brother Nate feels natural and well written, specially by the work of its voice actor, Troy Baker, one of the best in the industry.

    This 4th installment of the Uncharted franchise is also the longest, and by its end, the player feels a true sense of closure for one of the gaming industry greatest aventure series. Naughty Dog has proven once again videogames are to be taking seriously, and certainly the next gen begins when Naughty Dog decides to.

    Uncharted 4 is a most own for every ps4 owner, and a must play for every gamer out there wise enough to ignore exclusivity and brand borders, in search of one of gaming's most intense adventures yet.    … Expand

    A top notch game, sure the story isn't so original but is a fitting end to the series, a mature adventure which sucks you in, its the third time I've played through and I'm still enjoying the character development and the gaming challenge.     This game is truly a masterpiece!! The visuals are remarkable, and the story telling is by far more in depth than any other Uncharted game. Once again, Naughty Dog has done a stupendous job in giving us a game that will be remembered for years to come. BTW, I don't know what Washington Post is talking about.

    Tho i prefer Xbox to PlayStation, uncharted 4 is no doubt the best game of 2016 by a long shot. The graphics, the gameplay, the voice acting, and everything else about this game are great. And as someone who has recently played the old uncharted games, this is a perfect conclusion to a really good franchise. I would definently reccomend you to pick up this game regardless of if you'veTho i prefer Xbox to PlayStation, uncharted 4 is no doubt the best game of 2016 by a long shot.     Estou no capítulo 8 e até o momento entregaram um jogo nada menos que excepcional.

    Percebi que a produtora obteve um ótimo amadurecimento com o the last of us e ainda entregaram um multiplayer rodando liso a 60fps.

    I used to think that I needed to buy a $5,000 high end PC just to experience the best graphics in a game. Now for only $300+, Sony and Naughty Dog has allowed me to experience the ultimate gaming nirvana. Never have I seen such mind blowing graphics in a game, perfect animation and cutscenes which do not disengage from gameplay. This is not just a game, its a work of pure art. Художники и дизайнеры у Нотидог мое почтение, в этой части уже почти стирается грань между условностями уровня и окружением, все выглядит реалистично, будто это не уровень игры а взятая из жизни реальная локация, с максимальноПерепрошел в 2023, следом за Lost Legacy, захотелось того же да еще, и побольше, добил максимальную сложность, и все активности.     Выделяются только зацепы для крюка на деревьях, да выступы на скалах. Во все остальное веришь, будто реальные локации. Интерьеры дома музея, и домашнего жилья героя, как из жизни взятые. Ганфайт пожалуй лучший в жанре. Ощущения от стрельбы отличные. Сюжет диалоги и работа с камерой выше похвал.

    Реинкарнация моего любимого Индианы Джонса, в игровой форме. Спасибо и низкий поклон специалистам из Нотидог. 10 из 10.

    I'm glad I havent watched any walktroughs, before I played the game because some parts are so beautiful like a dream, especially in the later part of the game.

    Uncharted 4 is phenomenal. My favourite game in the series and honestly my favourite game of all time.
    Once you're finished with the crazy roller coaster ride that is the single player, there is the multiplayer which is also a blast.

    It's a shame that being linear is somehow a bad quality for a game these days. It seems most of the negative reviews here are from people who had no idea what to expect and instead are lambasting a game for not living up to their unrealistic expectations.

Not every game has to be like that. The pacing is on point, the characters are well-developed, the plot twists are fully engaging, and the mechanics have been finely tuned to where they aren't frustrating like some of the previous games. Some of the shootout scenes could be a tad shorter but aside from that, this game is perfect. The main story by itself is worth a 9 and the multiplayer and other features give it a solid 10. Naughty Dog has been adamant about this being the denouement of Nathan Drake's story so Uncharted should easily carry the title of best quadrilogy in gaming.    … Expand

    Let's move to proper review.

    This game is a wonderful and worthy ending to Uncharted series. I was really afraid of bad story or ending that would damage earlier game's good reputation. The introduction of Nate's brother was especially risky because we have never heard about him in earlier games but surprisingly it has worked.

    Gameplay is really fun. If you played earlier Uncharted games you will grasp controls instantly because this game is evolution of formula (instead of revolution). There are a few fun additions to mechanics like rope with hook and piton. There's much less shooting in favor of exploring. What's new is that you can now sneak past enemies in bushes/buildings behind walls and take them out silently.

    Graphics are amazing. I believe this is the best looking game across all platforms right now. Environments are diversified and stunning to look at. The world feels a tad more open although it's really not.

    Sounds and soundtrack are really good. All actors did a great job while programmers and animators made sure that lipsync and facial expressions are spot on.

    This game took me 18 hours to finish in semi-leisure mode. It's one of those games I wanted to play again just after I finished it (unfortunately I lent it my friends, so I'll have to wait. :)).

    It's nothing new, but what the game promised to deliver it delivered. What was delivered was of top quality. This is how you make Indiana Jones like action game.    … Expand

    The story was awesome, getting back to past companions like Sully and Elena. Sam was a good addition with the talent voice of Troy Baker (you'd mistake Nolan and Troy to be brothers) very well acted.

    It is an amazing game! It caught me the first few minutes; as all the uncharted , the game starts slow after the prologue , but when the minutes pass , the game grabs you and does not let go until the epilogue . I really loved , it was worth every penny I paid.

    I wanted to post this review not only to counteract the trolling on here (more on that in a bit), but to say how much I'm enjoying this game! I'm nine chapters in and i can't help but be in awe of the experience of playing this game. The graphics are amazing, the voice acting is spot on--complete with all the charm and humor we've come to know and love from this series, and the gameplay isI wanted to post this review not only to counteract the trolling on here (more on that in a bit), but to say how much I'm enjoying this game! I'm nine chapters in and i can't help but be in awe of the experience of playing this game. The graphics are amazing, the voice acting is spot on--complete with all the charm and humor we've come to know and love from this series, and the gameplay is near perfect. There are a few minor gripes that I have: 1) the game, at times, tries to be like the Metal Gear games, whereas it almost seems like the game forces you to play stealthily in some sections. There are a given number of enemies in an area, and taking them out with stealth IS fun, but if they spot you all of a sudden dozens of them come out of the woodwork. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with white-knuckle shootouts, but it can be a bit frustrating at times, 2) there are certain times where the graphics CAN be a bit blurry. It's nothing major, and maybe it's intentional, but it was a little immersion breaking for me. However, these are VERY minor gripes when weighed against the whole experience of the game, which is epic to say the least!

It's a wonderful work of art, combining the highest levels of sound design, lighting, cinematography and gameplay interactivity to tell a truly compelling story. It is truly remarkable how they have managed to tell a much more grounded story this time, within the same world.Uncharted 4, tells the perfect pulp adventure story.     Hands down the best game on PS4 so far, one of the best games of all time period, best third person shooter gameplay ever, best third person shooter multiplayer mode ever, best graphics ever in a video game (so far, and yes, even compared to 4k games on PC), possibly the best sound design and voice acting ever in a game, and one of the best conclusions to a series ever.

One has to really come up close to the TV screen and navigate the gameplay environment closely and attentively.     Game does not seize to amaze. I need to put this out there because frankly non-gamers would not appreciate what i have to say and if my review gets one person to buy this game, i'll feel like i gave back to this game. First, I am not easily impressed and sometimes i forced myself to be optimistic in order to enjoy a game. Uncharted 4 makes me want to come back for more. It's split into nice, dense and thrilling chapters, each taking a very sharp but interesting turn in the plot which creates a very compelling story. The game play is mostly climbing objectively speaking but i am not tricking myself into saying that i was never bored once because the dynamics, the narrative that continues in the background and the gorgeous scenery makes the climbing feel epic and dangerous. Once you get through the jungle gym of a level, you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment. This was not the case in the order parts of the series. Also, the gun fights are much better. Covers are blown apart, AI are smarter, shooting feels better and overall it does not feel repetitive nor as if I was shooting against a target dummy. The way they integrate the same gameplay elements with part of the story which creates a much more intense experience is super impressive. Hey, i'm not the best at explaining, just know its good and i'm not overselling it, get the game yourself and find out. With the sales this game has, there is NO excuse to "safe this for later" or "be in the mood" for it because frankly, this takes what you love from the old series, takes it to another level and removes the junk. 10/10 0 I'm glad i have been able to experience this game and it has given me inspiration to try other top PS4 games that i put off.    … Expand

    Naughty Dog really do know how to make a great game! The graphics are quite possibly the best I've seen on any console, and the action scenes flow in a spectacular way! It was a joy to play. I loved how in many of the situations vs the enemy, the player was given a choice of either taking them out via stealth or head-on fighting.     This is the only Uncharted game I've played, and it feels like the only one I'll ever need to play. It's got a compelling story, emotional characters, and interesting gameplay. What more could you want? 10/10 it's a PS4 essential.

Every aspect and detail is polished to a blinding shine - audio, story, level design, environments, pacing, variety, acting, graphics, facial animations, motion capture... it all comes together to make one of the most amazing games I've every played.

    In general, Uncharted 4 transcends via its ability to make everything amalgamate into a masterpiece in every aspect.

Sometimes you just don't know what you are missing, and that was the case with Uncharted 4. Having moved from Xbox 360 to PS4, I had no idea how excellent the Uncharted games were. This past month I've played through them all, starting with theAbsolutely fantastic. Uncharted 4 is the best game of 2016, the best PS4 exclusive I have played, and the best looking game I have ever played. Sometimes you just don't know what you are missing, and that was the case with Uncharted 4. Having moved from Xbox 360 to PS4, I had no idea how excellent the Uncharted games were. This past month I've played through them all, starting with the first Uncharted. In my review of those games, I said Uncharted 3 holds it own with current generation games. Little did I know that Uncharted 4 would look so amazing that I often stopped to wonder how NaughtyDog did it.

    The gameplay in Uncharted 4 builds on the formula of the previous games. You make Nathan Drake climb, swing, solve puzzles, take cover, and shoot bad guys. Hundreds of bad guys. Bodies everywhere. New additions are a grappling hood for certain areas, a climbing pick for certain surfaces, and the ability to tag enemies for stealth takedowns or simply avoiding them where possible. The game is also not light on amazing set pieces as ancient structures are often toppling with Drake in them. Exploration has never been better, and in my first playthrough I found only 37 of 107 treasures.

    Even better than the gameplay is the look and feel of the game. Few games are as well written and Drake and his partners banter in a natural way that brings a lot of humor to what could be a gloomy slog. (I'm looking at you, Tomb Raider reboot.) The character animations are so incredibly real that you can easily see how one day games will be difficult to distinguish from real life. The use of lighting is also spectacular, and few games even try to look so good. Seriously, if you have been disappointed by the improvement of current gen games over last gen, Uncharted 4 will make you a believer.

    As a full product, Uncharted 4 includes modifiers for the story mode, a competitive multiplayer and a survival mode. The story mode modifiers include zero gravity, infinite ammo, and graphics filters like 8-bit, ASCII, and super colorful. The competitive multiplayer is just as competent as you would expect, though I am turned off by the use of micro-transactions. I had the same complaint with The Last of Us remaster. If unlockables were cosmetic only, I would be more interested. Coming in a year late, I feel like it's not worth being cannon fodder. This is the same complaint I have with most multi-player games. The survival mode is a traditional co-op horde mode with a good number of maps available. As you survive waves of enemies, you can unlock better weapons. Survival mode is not as fully fleshed out as Call of Duty's zombie mode but it competes well against other co-op modes.

    One last note, Uncharted 4 shows the enduring strength of console exclusives. This game is the answer of which console to buy. It is a near perfect experience I have not felt since the halcyon days of Halo when Bungie made those games. If you own a PS4 and have been burned by years of disappointing sequels, do yourself a favor and play Uncharted 4.    … Expand

I was obviously disappointed to hear Greg Edmonson won't be returning. But Henry Jackman's score appropriately captured the tone of the franchise and it felt like Ed never left.

    The set pieces in Uncharted has always been a highlight. This time it's no different. I had goosebumps the moment the prison break ends and the opening credits roll with the new theme in the background. It's the kind of feeling you get when you're watching your favorite blockbuster movie you've been waiting all summer for and it only gets better from there!

    What separates A Thief's End from the previous installments most is the deeply personal story this time around that adds extra layers to the characters we've come to love and we are introduced to notably Nate's brother Samuel Drake who is a game changer and gives proper meaning for their motivations.

    PC fanboys can rave on about graphics, but as a fair minded gamer who plays both on console and PC, this is the most graphically detailed game I've ever played. I would go on to call other console devs as lazy considering what Naughty Dog has achieved. The attention to detail is unprecedented. Nate's house easily wins the contest for best interior decoration in a video game!

    Photo mode is a feature that's becoming common in games nowadays. I spent a ludicrous amount of time with the game's photo mode. It's like a treasure cave for a photographer. The game also introduces a limited sandbox feel to some levels which enables you to tackle the objective in slightly different ways. It even adds driving section that are fun with pretty realistic physics. The enemy encounters can be completed fully by stealth, classic gunplay or even by avoiding all enemies. Both of these are welcome additions that does keep the gameplay fresh.

    The AI has been fantastic in the previous games and they still are provoking you to rethink strategies mid fight and keep moving to succeed. Even on crushing difficulty, I never felt cheated. The final boss fight was appropriate however a little frustrating. The platforming sections felt a tad exhausting at times. These are the few complaints I have the about the game. Regardless, the game does so many things right that can easily overpower these minor nuisances.

    The multiplayer returns from the previous games and keeps the action going after you've already completed the single player probably more than once. It is nothing revolutionary and mostly by the numbers, but it still manages to add value to the whole package and worth checking out.

    Without giving anything away, the game ends like a swansong. Just when you thought this game couldn't be more amazing, it pulls one more trick out of its box. This game captures the word 'immersive' to perfection. It pulls you into its world, makes you care about the characters and make you feel like you are a part of the adventure and never lets you go until the end credits roll.

    I remember I chose a PS3 over an Xbox 360 for its exclusives especially the Uncharted series. This generation it was no different. If you are only going to play one game on your PS4, let this be that game, you owe it to yourselves!    … Expand

    Uncharted 4 is by far the best Uncharted to date . the story telling is awesome the game is so impressive in its detail in graphics and level design. Nolan north's voice acting is spot on and the action is insane. if this truly is the last uncharted game its going out in a big way. if you haven't played this series , start now its my favorite series ever and worth playing.

I am undeniably ecstatic to say U4 delivers on all those fronts in Naughty Dog's dependable and amazing fashion. Let's get into why that is.

    Story
    I love Uncharted so much for many different reasons but possibly the biggest is all of the games' fantastic story (minus U3 - it was meh compared to the others, but that's a different topic for another time). U4 has the best story out of all four games. The basic plot of this game is that it's been awhile since Nathan Drake has gone on his dangerous, yet exciting adventures. He's living a normal life now. However, Nathan's brother, Sam, returns after a long absence. Nathan is eventually dragged back into the world of treasure-hunting by his brother, but the stakes this time are more personal and "final-installment"-like. I really wanted this game to fully capsize on big, emotional punches, and for the most part, I can say it did that throughout its 15 hour length. I loved Sam's addition to the series. I became attached to their brotherly bond throughout this grand adventure. Nathan is as lovable as ever (obviously). So is Sully and Elena. Speaking of Nate and Elena, they have more time to shine here as a couple more than ever, and the scenes with just them together are some of the best in the entire game. Forgive the cheesiness, please, but it was adorable. Also, I have to bring up the increasingly intriguing treasure storyline here. That too was super great. The characters, their relationships, and the treasure storyline here make this game's story absolutely amazing.

    Graphics
    I was on a binge-playing session with this game. When I went outside to do some jobs, I literally couldn't see the difference between this game's graphics and the real-world. No joke. U4 is the best looking game I've ever laid eyes on, and I'm sure it'll keep that title for a long time. Everything is layered with such precious detail. The character's expressions in cutscenes, the way Nate leaves behind footprints, the way the red mud sprays up when driving through it, just...oh my God. This game may be worth it alone for just the graphics.

    Gameplay
    Gameplay in U4 has been refined in great and interesting ways, and there has also been a little bit more variety added to this one. I have to bring up the shooting first and foremost. Not only does the shooting itself feel very good, but the shootouts are incredibly dynamic. They're quite challenging, too, which I truly appreciated. The areas in which the shootouts happen are level design at its finest. Climbing and traversing the environment hasn't changed much, but there has been a lot more of that added here, along with the exploration elements. You feel like a true explorer, more so than any other Uncharted. However, that means the set pieces here aren't all over the place like in some of the previous games. I will admit that I was a bit wanting of maybe one or two more. That doesn't mean they're not fantastic, though.

    Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece and is further example that Naughty Dog is the best developer in gaming - stop arguing. You know it's true. If you played the previous parts, many things are very familiar, the superior hardware of the PS4 (compared to the PS3) allows for an improved experience.     A great close to the series with interesting / unexpected take on main character arc. The in-game engine animations / blended textures are phenomenal and set the bar for other developers to follow. Gameplay now resembles TLOU using slower conversational segments - love this. Environmental storytelling is excellent. If you own ps4 you should add this to your collection.

    Beautiful scenery and a fun story make this a great game. Their sentimental touches for fans coupled with a classy ending make this a masterpiece. It won't get the near the play time of many of my other favorites, but the quality of time spent makes it one of my all time favorites.

    An utter masterpiece and one of the greatest and most memorable games I ever will play. Better than a lot of blockbuster movies in terms of spectacle and excitement. The perfect conclusion to a great story.

Even little things like being able to double team a bad guy with the other characters when beating them down was awesome and the little side conversations you could have or not have like in the last of us were things I really appreciated and added to the emersion. despite all this, the biggest thing this game does right is the story, it is extremely emotionally investing, and I appreciate that they do this without being gloomy like so many other titles. there are so many games that try to provoke emotion by being dark and depressing that its refreshing to have a story that's actually very light hearted in tone but still hits you in the heart. not to say that aren't sad moments, this game focuses strongly on betrayal, obsession, and letting go but it still manages to keep you laughing and smiling most of the way through. I was never bored for a second, but I can see the replay value not being that strong in the first couple chapters. best villian yet in the series in my opinion because not only was the villain a complete scum bag you could also understand why he does the things he does and even empathize with him, infact hes not to different from nathan drake, they happen to have alot in common. I cant talk to much more about the gaem without going into spoiler territory so ill just say that this is easily game of the year for me so far with dark souls 3 alomost on par. the perfect uncharted game… Expand

    I've owned, played, completed and already traded this game in. Wow what a game! I already miss the game and miss playing it. However, I traded it whilst still at high resale value.

    There is so much to do and explore on this game - Unfortunately, I couldn't help myself but drive on with the story. Sometimes when I did explorer, I found myself heading in the right direction unintentionally.

    Game deserves a 10/10. Has great story I just played the first two chapters and it feels long. Really has the best graphics on a PS4 console. I am shocked with the negative user reviews because I feel some people down vote for no reason. Pros of the game Amazing Action Sequence, improved precision Aim, Improved Cover System, Jaw Dropping Environment. Cons can't think of any yet.

    Great ending to Drakes story, looks lovely plays is smooth. With no noticeable stuttering, easily going to be one of 2016's top games.

I mean at that time that was the best game I've ever played. And then my expectations for uncharted 3 got bigger and I was very much with that. Then naughty dogs delivered an other masterpiece with the last of us. Naughty dogs is one such studio which can satisfy all the gamers.

    Uncharted 4- omg this is one of the best games I've ever played. It is similar to uncharted 2 where it starts with the present day and and goes to the flash back l. The screenplay in this game is excellent. The game starts off slowly and you can see sequence which are almost similar to the last of us and they've used it well.
    Though the game starts slowly there is not a single sequence which feels boring. The naughty dogs has done an excellent job in bringing back crash bandicoot. I was smiling the entire moment when I was that game. The sad thing you'll be able to play that only at the end. All the characters in the are used excellently and are given equal importance. Though Khloe and cutter are not in the game there are some reference to them. The graphics of this game has set a benchmark for others games. This is the best looking game after order 1886 and syndicate. This is the first time where you can drive a car and it really feels good. The rope is fun to use. Takedown with the rope puts a smile on your always and it feels satisfying. The stealth mechanics are some what similar to the last of us l. Unlike previous uncharted games you can avoid using guns. The story is excellent and they've done justice in bringing Sam in the last game of the series. The scene where Sam and drake meets Rafe and Nadine were awesome. The only thing which made me feel sad was the gameplay time. I finished the game in two days playing in hard difficulty.

    Uncharted is sure a masterpiece and is 10/10 for me.

    Have been playing the game since Saturday. It is everything i wanted and more, its absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. You will NOT be let down by it. Support this great game and those behind creating it. Get ready for one last adventure.

Thrilling shootouts, a staggering level of detail, breathtaking visuals and emotional depth come together to make Uncharted 4: A Thief's End a must-play masterpiece.

    Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]
