    I am giving this a 10 solely based on the amazing jump in the quality of the graphics between Tropico 5 and Tropico 6. I've been playing games my whole life, and largely feel that graphics are overrated. But I have never seen such a jump in quality between two entries in a franchise before, and feel like it is worth drawing attention to and, in this case at least, it greatly improves theI am giving this a 10 solely based on the amazing jump in the quality of the graphics between Tropico 5 and Tropico 6.     I have played through Tropico 5 multiple times, so I am a hardcore fan. To be honest, I am having trouble with some aspects of this new entry. I am playing through the second mission twice now, because I failed it the first time. It seems like, as with Tropico 5, doing exactly what the AI / tutorial tells you to do can often result in you running out of money and losing elections.

    For the purposes of this review, I am willing to assume that (like with Tropico 5) I will eventually be able to figure this out.    … Expand

    I've played Tropico 5 on PS4 and some of the old ones on PC. Tropico 6 is fantastic. The best one so far.

    Despues de tantas ediciones jugando a ser dictador y otros juegos de estrategia, tengo que decir que es muy continuísta, apenas atrae novedades importantes, la mayoria cosmeticas. Necesita un labado de cara e innovacion. De todas maneras es muy disfrutable.

    Much improved over the PS4 version of Tropico 5. Can require a bit too much micromanagement at times but still a great overall city building experience

    Tropic 6 is a game that will provide fun to those who acquire it for many hours. Its playability, game modes and graphic section are captivating. Given its characteristics, the game is ideal for newbies in this genre. If you do not have much experience playing video games of this type, you will love Tropic 6, if on the contrary you have already played many deliveries of this genre, Tropic 6 may seem a bit simple.

    With each map consisting of three islands, a large variety of buildings, and 30 story missions, there’s more to do than ever, which makes it ideal for beginners to the series. Just don’t expect innovation over previous Tropicos or similar games. [Issue@168, p86]

    Whether or not Tropico 6 is for you really depends on your affinity for the genre, and Tropico in particular. If you’re a fan of previous games in the series, you’re apt to like this one, mostly because it’s less an evolution and more a simple refinement. That said, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and Tropico hasn’t needed much fixing for a while. This is definitely a case where more of the same is more than welcome.
