    This game feels like it was thrown together over the course of a few months by a dev team that just didn’t care, and how it won the few awards it did at E3 last year is beyond me.

    It would have been an 8 or 7 had the game been polished. It is indeed ambitious but the story and voice acting are bad, but more importantly, the game runs at 15-20 fps when in split screen, there are numerous game breaking bugs and glitches, the game crashes a lot, … I loved the concept, on paper the game is great, but it runs like crap.

    Para ser un juego de Play Station 4 en donde la potencia gráfica es algo tan fundamental, resulta muy difícil jugar este juego que a su fecha de salida tiene demasiadas cosas por pulir.

    This game reminds me of bad gmod mods... do I need to say more? It's graphics and gameplay are painful and it feels like a bad 1996 game

    Troll and I is possibly one of the worst games I have ever played, as soon as I began playing as Otto I had regretted loading up the game. The graphics needed quite a bit of work and there were constant bugs when controlling the troll and Otto the narrative is in no way interesting and I had lost whatever interest I had in the game very quickly. The voice acting is sub-par anything thatTroll and I is possibly one of the worst games I have ever played, as soon as I began playing as Otto I had regretted loading up the game. The graphics needed quite a bit of work and there were constant bugs when controlling the troll and Otto the narrative is in no way interesting and I had lost whatever interest I had in the game very quickly. The voice acting is sub-par anything that Otto says is very lifeless no matter how important it is to the story. The gameplay is incredibly boring, even in combat. I would not recommend this garbage to anyone.… Expand

    I got this on ps4 and I heard this was a bad game so I got it when it was on sale for 3$ and man I wish I had my 3$ back. The first 30 mins was ok at best. The controls for the main character and troll are kinda clunky. Stealth combat is pointless and the camera shaking when the troll is running is annoying but the biggest issue for me has to be the frame rate drop. I swear the game had toI got this on ps4 and I heard this was a bad game so I got it when it was on sale for 3$ and man I wish I had my 3$ back. The first 30 mins was ok at best. The controls for the main character and troll are kinda clunky. Stealth combat is pointless and the camera shaking when the troll is running is annoying but the biggest issue for me has to be the frame rate drop. I swear the game had to be running on 10fps because as soon as there's more than one enemy on the screen the game is in slow motion. The main character always does a finishing move on every enemy he melees to death but just a warning don't do this near a wall or ledge because you might glitch right through the wall and get stuck or fall to your death as I have which causes you to replay sections over and over again and those frame rate drops WILL eventually end up with you crashing. This game has such a low completion rate because most people can't even play it because it crashes so much. I was actually going to 100% this game just for kicks even though it was very very painful to play this game. I only had just a handful of collectibles left and was nearing the end when this game crashed because it can't handle the troll throwing a rock which you need to do to cover spawning points for enemies. I start my game back up and what do I find NOTHING the ui is gone the troll is gone and the camera is just stuck in place and all I can do is pause the game and leave and restart and its the same thing so I'm just screwed, oh and btw this game was no manual saves it only has a checkpoint system so you better hope you pass by one in those long sections, so here I am just stuck here 80% through the game no ui, no troll, and powerless to do anything. I spent a lot of time and frustration getting to where I'm at just to get screwed by this games inconsistency to run and I am not about replay the entire game all over again going through the frustrating fps drops, bugs, glitches, and crashes again. It gets 1 point just for working kinda. I wish I had my 3 dollars back.… Expand

    Durch ein Update konnte, man eine Wand nicht mehr hochklettern wodurch man es nicht weiter spielen konnte

    A longer development period might have made this into something more playable, but it would still be a game of rehashed concepts notable only for its sheer banality. [May 2017, p.96]

    There's potential here, but it's hard to bring that into account when the visuals, audio and gameplay are all mediocre or even straightout bad.

    Slapping down poor video games never brings me much pleasure, especially those that genuinely show promise. While it has a unique setting and some solid ideas, boring level design and a general lack of imagination when piecing together all of these components leaves me with very little to praise.
