    I remember this game very well, it was amazing in 2013 (not like Uncharted but still), and surprisingly it still holds up quite well, even with 60FPS on PS5. The story is quite predictable, but is not bad. The looting/crafting system is much more simple and intuitive than even Uncharted, where the focus is on story rather than survival and crafting.

    Voice acting and voice/sounds in general are OK, not that good. Overall stealth and game systems are working fine, everything is quite simple to understand, tutorials are good.
    Although I focus 99% of this review on single player campaign, I have to mention that there IS multiplayer and it IS bad. So, dont buy this game for Multiplayer.
    In general if you haven't played any TOMB RAIDER games, you would like this as a start, so go ahead :)    … Expand

    Tomb Raider, que buena forma de iniciar esta nueva saga, graficamente muy aceptable, para un juego de la pasada generacion, Lara una sola palabra para describirla, Increible, un personaje con mucho carisma, una historia, fantasiosa, de hecho considero que es un uncharted con un personaje femenino de protagonista, y que esta utiliza un arco.
    La jugabilidad es aceptable aunque pudo ser    Tomb Raider, que buena forma de iniciar esta nueva saga, graficamente muy aceptable, para un juego de la pasada generacion, Lara una sola palabra para describirla, Increible, un personaje con mucho carisma, una historia, fantasiosa, de hecho considero que es un uncharted con un personaje femenino de protagonista, y que esta utiliza un arco.
    La jugabilidad es aceptable aunque pudo ser mejor, y es que aveces los saltos eran tan molestos, eran exageradamente amplios y aveces en zonas que no tenias que saltar eran demasiado cortos.
    El porcentaje de mi nota es total y unicamente para el carisma que Lara me hizo sentir y su historia o trama,
    Este juego lo consegui entorno a $30 no recomiendo pagar mas.

    Very similar to Uncharted. The big difference is, Uncharted has a better story and more likable characters. Tomb Raider, you get to use a bow and arrow, plus you level up Lara as well as her weapons.

    Favorite Character?

    Other than Lara, I thought the Character development was rather weak. It was interesting seeing Lara into the Tomb Raider.

    Would you play it again?

    After I beat the game, I spent a few hours running around doing side missions and unlocking trophies. I don’t see myself playing this again but it was an enjoyable run through.

    Any Complaints?

    The story was a little lacking but the creators made up for it with great game play.    … Expand

    When I played this in 2020 I did not expect to have so much fun with a game from 2013. Bit shorter, but for 3$ on sale I can't complain.

    On the pro side, the game has an interesting history that occurs in a kind of dark atmosphere. Graphically, it's very beautiful, we can see the attention to detail. Another big pro is the combat system, truly one of the best I have ever seen. It combines gunfight with melee and also a bow, and this works very well. The fact that it doesn't have an excessive amount of weapons is good, asOn the pro side, the game has an interesting history that occurs in a kind of dark atmosphere. Graphically, it's very beautiful, we can see the attention to detail. Another big pro is the combat system, truly one of the best I have ever seen. It combines gunfight with melee and also a bow, and this works very well. The fact that it doesn't have an excessive amount of weapons is good, as well as the possibility of upgrading the ones you have.

    The biggest downside of this game is that it is a FAKE open world game. Although you can return to any region of the map, it is absolutely unnecessary to do so. Also, you can't enter in a given combat from whatever side of the island you want (like Far Cry), that is, you just can't create different strategies to engage a group of enemies. So, despite the effort, it's really a strictly linear history. After playing games like Fallout, Skyrim or even Far Cry, you just hope that an open world would offer much more liberty to make your own history and strategies, however, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition fails to do so.

    Another thing I HATED is that you have no liberty to interact with the environment, you can only interact with the things that the game lets you. For example, you have an ability to make a double jump in the wall, but it only works in the specific walls determined by the game. If you try to double jump in any other walls, it just doesn't work! There are places where you COULD climb, judging by the ability of the character, however, considering that these places are not designed by the game creators to be climbed, so you just can't. You can shoot arrows attached in ropes, BUT ONLY IN THE PLACES PREVIOUSLY DESIGNED by the game creators. If you try to be creative and attach your arrow and rope in any other place, to try to create a strategy, you just can't. This is VERY frustrating, it's as if you were following a script.

    Finally, the game is short and after completion I don't see reason to replay it.    … Expand

    Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a good game. The story isn't really that compelling, and the gameplay is alright, but not incredible. I would recommend it when it goes on sale for almost anyone. It's a fun 10 hour game.

    Great game.Every ps4 owner should have this game.Graphics are not some ultra quality but thats not important...True adventure,interesting places,enemies...If you love Uncharted,you will love this.

    Tomb Raider has great graphics and gorgeous locations. The gameplay feels smooth and there's nothing cluncky about the controls. I really enjoyed playing this game and really liked that it's so cheap in 2017.

    Action-packed, gritty, exciting, and gorgeous, Tomb Raider gives a stealth-based adventure that redefines a character and reintroduces a series back into mainstream media. What I loved most about this game is the attention to detail that it gives Lara as an emotional protagonist. Her first kill in the game is heart-breaking and we really feel that she is a great person thrust into aAction-packed, gritty, exciting, and gorgeous, Tomb Raider gives a stealth-based adventure that redefines a character and reintroduces a series back into mainstream media. What I loved most about this game is the attention to detail that it gives Lara as an emotional protagonist. Her first kill in the game is heart-breaking and we really feel that she is a great person thrust into a terrible experience, having to fight to survive instead of to kill. The game provides challenging chapters, jaw-dropping graphics, and puzzling areas for the gamer to beat all while having an absolute blast doing so. Not only is it the greatest Tomb Raider to date (of release), but it's one of the best video game entries that money can buy. All I could ask from the game is more of what I was given because I love this character and the world they've created.… Expand

    Primer Tomb raider que juego, y la verdad me parecio un muy buen juego, con la historia justa y necesaria, pero con una buena jugabilidad, empezando con una lara que parece inocente y temeraria, teniendo que tomar coraje y los raudales para escarpar de sus apuros, recomendado!

This version also includes a new side mission, a new tomb, two digital books, a making of doc and all the DLC released. In addition, the PS4's light bar changes color according to Lara's health status. While the use of the PS4's speaker for audio clips is cool,Tomb Raider on the PS4 looks phenomenal. Lara's character model was redesigned using new tech and the results are quite amazing. In addition, the PS4's light bar changes color according to Lara's health status. While the use of the PS4's speaker for audio clips is cool, the effect is ruined since the TV also plays the audio simultaneously. If you've never played "Tomb Raider" before, then you're in for quite a treat. It plays like Far Cry 3, but with a Resident Evil 4 over-the-shoulder combat mechanic. However, if you've already played the PS2 version, you might not need this. With the exception of the prettier graphics and minor new additions, there's not much new.     Way to much scripted BS and QTE. Combat it just works. Platforming mostly works, but it can glitch out. I had no emotional connection to the dull story or the dull characters. The progression skills and scavenging system are very basic. The Tomb Raiding aspect was so underwhelming. General performance ok, but stability not so ok with a few game crashes.     Tomb Raider does great until the very first wolf related QTE. The game teaches you button mashing the whole way during the tutorial phase. Then suddenly you are required to mash the button according to timing with ZERO indication. This confuses the hell out of the player. This is BAD game design,

    Amazing game! Tomb Raider was always one of my favorite female game character. They have changed a lot but you can still feel the original Tomb Raider vibe. Combat and complete gameplay is just beautiful, pure enjoyment.

    Definitely a must buy for every Tomb Raider fan. What I found weird though, was that they changed her face from what it looked like on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I wonder why? Other than that a really amazing game, just like it's last gen counterpart....well it's exactly the same just with redefined textures and other things. I wish I would've bought this way sooner.     I played this one on ps3, but i really enjoy playing it on ps4.
    Me and alot of friends who play this have so much fun with iT.
    Graphics are very Nice and realistic and the 60 frames per second on ps4 runs smooth as butter . This is one of the best games on ps4 richt now

    I've never given anything a 0 before and didnt plan to. This game showed promise but I get a CE-34878-0 Error everytime I get to a certain part of the game about an hour in. I've tried every troubleshooting thing I can find online - which ultimately allowed me to progress about 10 minutes. I've owned my PS4 for a year and never ran into this error in the past.     This is by far the best Tomb Raider game to come out since it first began. There is so much depth and the gameplay is stellar. Graphics are top notch and its also very challenging. It starts out slow, but you'll soon find yourself in an all out war. If your looking for a great game at a discount price for the PS4, this is for you!!!

    After playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and going back to playing this game I thought it would've lost it's appeal due to it being an older version, but that was not the case at all. Tomb Raider is still a great game to play.     Lamentablemente demasiado corto, creo que en menos de 10 horas lo puedes terminar facilmente.
    Contenido secundario no hay, lo unico son masmorras o tumbas creo que eran, que estaban escondidas y debes explorar un poco mas el mapa para encontrarlas, pero de ahi no hay nada mas.     Un juego de la pasada generacion, pero que en PS4, luce bien, aunque es un port, con mas detalle de sombre e iluminacion.
    Obtuve el juego por $25 , y se puede conseguir por menos, en definitiva es una excelente compra.

    Very good game indeed and one of the best in the Tomb Raider franchise. Lara is the definition of badassery and strong female image, the story is awesome and the combat is great, the graphics are also very good.

    Played this game on PC many years ago and now in 2021 on PS4Pro and it still very good. Square Enix did a great reboot. The only thing I don't like is that some magic/fantasy stuff is present in all 3 rebooted Tomb Raider games but probably it's their the only drawback.

    The plot invites you to go on and keep playing to reveal its secrets, however, along with the main premise, everything ends up being a set of clichés, but enjoyable. The gameplay is far from perfect, the mixture of third person shooter and adventure/platforms with the Uncharted formula is fun, although I would have preferred a more polished control.     Adquirí este juego por que al ser fan de la saga uncharted me apetecían más aventuras de accion/búsqueda del tesoro y aunque debo decir que este juego para mi gusto no supera ni a uncharted 2 ni a uncharted 3 ha cumplido con mis espectativas, también tengo que decir que ha sido mi primer contacto con la saga.

    Gameplay, storytelling and Lara itself are really great. But i couldn't stand these action camera which is wiggling all the time. Because of that i couldn't play longer than 1 -2 hours because i got sick a bit. xD
    but that's probably just a personal problem.
    I also was kinda disappointed of the environment because it didn't looked like Japan. That was really sad. Still a solid game overall.

    The upstep in visual detail from the older console versions is a nice bonus, but Tomb Raider didn’t need massaging. It’s the same well-realised action reboot for Lara Croft that came as such a pleasant surprise last year. It’s still well-written, sympathetic, exciting, beautiful, and just incredibly well-made.

Inicialmente parece que tendremos que "sobrevivir" haciendo uso de exploración y caza, aprendiendo habilidades y creciendo como jugadores. Pero nada de eso    Un Poco Dispar, Pero Entretenido.

    JUGABILIDAD:
    Como lo pongo en el titulo, la premisa es un poco dispar. Los desarrolladores pretenden vendernos el nacimiento de Lara, pero a la vez prefieren no perder tiempo y pasar a la acción. Inicialmente parece que tendremos que "sobrevivir" haciendo uso de exploración y caza, aprendiendo habilidades y creciendo como jugadores. Pero nada de eso aplica, ya que Lara es la típica protagonista que todo lo puede, desde el primer escenario.
    Sin duda muy desaprovechado.

    Eso sí, la jugabilidad no es del todo mala. Hay grandes secuencias de acción, grandes secuencias de misterio y un poco de terror. Aunque lo cierto es que algunas partes son muy exageradas y, como dije, no encajan con la historia que se está contando. Sí que hacen falta un par de Bosses, y los que hay no valen mucho la pena. Así mismo, los QTE dejan mucho que desear.

    Aún así sigue siendo un juego divertido, con grandes aventuras, un buen número de coleccionables, y muchos enemigos por vencer.

    GRÁFICOS:
    Si bien el juego se trata de una remasterización de un título para Playstation 3, el apartado gráfico sigue siendo decente al día de hoy: no va a quitarnos el aliento, pero sí cumple con una calidad suficiente para disfrutar de los modelados y escenarios.

    Junto con las tomas visuales, hacen de Tomb Raider un juego totalmente disfrutable a nivel cinematográfico.

    Was very fun and the more it goes the better it gets. The mystery about it is very interesting. I am a bit divided in my opinion about Lara. I liked her looking and for the most part her relation to the environment. But her characterization is a bit to fast for me. I would have wanted a bit more time to see her grow in her struggle to survive.

    Gameplay

    All good. The shooting is fine, the riddle and tombs are very interesting and u can stealth kill most of the enemies. I would have loved if they contributed more to the survival aspect, more really necessary hunting and more.

    Scenery

    It looks really really good even in 2020. Lara is beatiful detailed and the isle has very goodlooking parts and you have some difference in it. But I would have liked more places to go to.

    Summary

    Loved every minute of this game. Tomb raider 2013 has the perfect balance of a great story, good combat, fun puzzles and fun trophies (offline) imo. Online trophies suck though. All in all, this game is definitely in my top 5 games of all times and I liked it even better than the uncharted games.

    Brilliant. Finished it in a week, couldnt put it down. Good pacing, fun gameplay, goos story. A real treat, if I could but the devs of this game a beer I would. If you keen on buying, dont hesitate, you wont be disappointed.

    The first Tomb Raider I've played since the Playstation 1. The game offered me approximately 11 hours of non-stop action and a very interesting story. I liked the Japanese setting, which was well done.

    I have to say that the game looks stunning despite being almost a decade old. I only had one "crash" in the entire playthrough when I had to restart the game, otherwise the game runs    The first Tomb Raider I've played since the Playstation 1. Although, i think the start was a bit slow, which is the main reason i'm giving it a 9 instead of 10. A lot of emotional scenes, which feels different (in a good way) from next games (i played ROTTR and SOTTR first).     Very well crafted game. A bit short but well worth the price on sale. If you played the old Tomb raiders you know the game is not only about combat but also puzzles. Here the puzzles of the main story are quite easy, while those of optional stuff can be quite challenging. I like this choice.

    I quite liked this game but the gameplay was kinda bad sometimes. The graphics are great considering this game came out in 2014. The story is also a little bit weird at times and I didn’t understand some of it but it was still good. I love Lara Croft and think this game did a good job portraying her character.

    This new instalment of this legendary character is great, it’s more brutal, the story is very intriguing, searching through hidden tombs is fun, the puzzles could have been better but weren’t bad. I didn’t care at all for the guns in the game which is why I stuck to the bow and arrow found it so much more fun.

    When I was younger the only tomb raider I ever played was the demo on the PS1. So I was very excited about a reboot and WOW. This game was awesome. Action packed and everything I would expect in a Tomb Raider Game. The environments to the Survival Tactics. And the Bow added to her arsenal was a very nice touch. Great game

I enjoyed one thing, which only this game has - it's very helpful to collect collectables here! Because they tell you the main plot and give you some details about what's going on here. It's very convenient and resourceful.

However, I wasn't engaged with the story, the characters or exploring the tombs.     游戏属于线性游戏，但有一定的自由探索空间，甚至还有隐藏的古墓，但古墓的解谜都太简单。除此之外还有收集和挑战，收集如果是收集劳拉的服装或者武器的外观就好了，找一堆GPS感觉没什么意义，而且在拿到区域藏宝图和点满生还者技能后，收集基本就没什么挑战了，顺着地图找就行。唯一难的是挑战，每个区域都有不同的挑战，没有位置提示，这才叫收集要素。
    音乐没有什么记忆点（好像没太多配乐，确实也不需要），音效倒是不错，枪声的回声很大，而且有立体声音效。

    缺点：
    不足的地方一个是镜头晃动有点太大容易晕，营地的菜单选项闪烁太厉害费眼睛，还有就是遇到一些影响体验的bug，ps4上面崩溃过3次，而且查看文献和收藏品界面的文字经常出现乱码（繁体中文），扣一分。
    选的普通难度，其实敌人比较蠢，两个站一起的哥们，一个被劳拉放倒了，另一个居然完全没有反应，只要没有被看到就不会被发现。老游戏这一点还是可以理解。
    人物的建模除了劳拉都差了点意思，除了过场动画，游戏过程中角色说话除了劳拉其他人嘴巴基本不动，有一个场景Samantha躺下了在睡觉，眼睛确睁很大，她一个亚洲脸，睡觉不闭眼，真的很像鬼。    … Expand

    Expceptional game! The story was meaningful and full of emotion. The weapon upgrades v impactful to gameplay, made finding mods and searching for scrap worthwhile. Good skill point system, basic but effective. Hint- make sure to gather all the collectibles as you progress through the storyline, not after its end, as it gives you much more backstory and understanding of the main plot.

    This tomb raider episode gives a positive direction to the franchise. The story is interesting, a graphic is pretty nice, the gameplay is fun. It has very few bugs, glitches or annoying situations. Sometimes the puzzles are nonsense a little but they are forgivable.

I personally enjoy this way more than the uncharted series because the replay is much higher than uncharted and that you can upgrade your weapons ij this game.     A really well-made game. I love the gameplay, it's just so smooth. The story was very compelling and the graphics are top notch for a remaster of a ps3 game. The multiplayer is also not dead, even in 2021. I got right into a lobby on a thursday afternoon (UK time).

    The game is normally on sale for 3£ so I highly recommend buying it on sale!

Although not many people like the QTE, I personally loved them all for providing a dynamic variety to its gameplay.
    Secondly, the gameplay is pretty good, but not for everyone. The exploration side is similar to RPG's but limited and mostly necessary to improve the combats. Specifically the features to add skills and upgrades to weapons requires considerable amount of time hunting and searching for items. Personally I disliked the fact that I had to spend too much time on this "side quests" for upgrading features, though many people will find it entertaining as they explore the island. When it comes to combat, the mechanics and animations are fantastic; it was my favorite feature alongside the QTE: Neat, enjoyable, and not overwhelming enemies.
    Lastly, the story is appealing, but maybe not as much as its predecessors in the franchise or other competitors like Uncharted. The whole island mystery is enough to keep the player intrigued about the next part, but it doesn't create that hype that many other narratives have. The characters are not well-developed and Lara is clearly shown as the single main character in the game without much development for other ones, but still it's emotional at some parts.
    Overall, I recommend this game for anyone, but it's not a "must play" in my opinion. I would say that it could be a strong suggestion for PS4 owners, but it doesn't stand out as much as other titles in the Adventure-Action genre like Uncharted. Nonetheless, it's worth giving it a try if you liked previous Tomb Raider games or simply love adventure games. It's difficult to recommend this title In 2021 having so many other games that are more enjoyable on newer consoles, but it's excellent to get started into the Tomb Raider franchise, which is awesome as a whole.    … Expand

Sometimes it makes me die, sometimes it makes me take 20 years to look around a room. If I pause the game for a while and then go back to it the camera works and rotates just fine.     Recuerdo que cuando salió el juego tuvo muchas críticas, pero en mi opinión está genial. Un juego muy intuitivo de aprender, algo que muchos quieren desmerecer (los juegos por ser más difíciles y enrevesados no son mejores, en mi opinión). Dicho esto, gameplay entretenido, con la sensación de no haber relleno sino que parece que estás casi siempre ante un combate final. Muy recomendado.

    Excelente jogo, todos os objetivos opcionais acabam por ser inseridos na narrativa principal, fazendo com que o jogo não se torne repetitivo nem maçante, me diverti muito!

    I was absolutely wowed by this game the first time I played it through because I was paying so much attention to the cut scenes and redesigned Lara Croft was a joy to behold...But having had a year to sit and consider the game's broader meaning, the second time around the game's flaws are all the more apparent.
