    I remember this game very well, it was amazing in 2013 (not like Uncharted but still), and surprisingly it still holds up quite well, even with 60FPS on PS5. The story is quite predictable, but is not bad. The looting/crafting system is much more simple and intuitive than even Uncharted, where the focus is on story rather than survival and crafting.
    Voice acting and voice/sounds in    I remember this game very well, it was amazing in 2013 (not like Uncharted but still), and surprisingly it still holds up quite well, even with 60FPS on PS5.     Voice acting and voice/sounds in general are OK, not that good. Overall stealth and game systems are working fine, everything is quite simple to understand, tutorials are good.
    Although I focus 99% of this review on single player campaign, I have to mention that there IS multiplayer and it IS bad. So, dont buy this game for Multiplayer.
    In general if you haven't played any TOMB RAIDER games, you would like this as a start, so go ahead :)    … Expand

    Tomb Raider, que buena forma de iniciar esta nueva saga, graficamente muy aceptable, para un juego de la pasada generacion, Lara una sola palabra para describirla, Increible, un personaje con mucho carisma, una historia, fantasiosa, de hecho considero que es un uncharted con un personaje femenino de protagonista, y que esta utiliza un arco.
    La jugabilidad es aceptable aunque pudo ser    Tomb Raider, que buena forma de iniciar esta nueva saga, graficamente muy aceptable, para un juego de la pasada generacion, Lara una sola palabra para describirla, Increible, un personaje con mucho carisma, una historia, fantasiosa, de hecho considero que es un uncharted con un personaje femenino de protagonista, y que esta utiliza un arco.
    La jugabilidad es aceptable aunque pudo ser mejor, y es que aveces los saltos eran tan molestos, eran exageradamente amplios y aveces en zonas que no tenias que saltar eran demasiado cortos.
    El porcentaje de mi nota es total y unicamente para el carisma que Lara me hizo sentir y su historia o trama,
    Este juego lo consegui entorno a $30 no recomiendo pagar mas.

    Action-Adventure with leveling up elements. Was it fun? Yes, I enjoy action-adventure games with history wrapped up into the story. My favorite part of the game was the leveling up system.     Very similar to Uncharted. The big difference is, Uncharted has a better story and more likable characters. Tomb Raider, you get to use a bow and arrow, plus you level up Lara as well as her weapons.

    Favorite Character?

    Other than Lara, I thought the Character development was rather weak. It was interesting seeing Lara into the Tomb Raider.

    Would you play it again?

    After I beat the game, I spent a few hours running around doing side missions and unlocking trophies. I don’t see myself playing this again but it was an enjoyable run through.

    Any Complaints?

    The story was a little lacking but the creators made up for it with great game play.    … Expand

    When I played this in 2020 I did not expect to have so much fun with a game from 2013. Bit shorter, but for 3$ on sale I can't complain.

    On the pro side, the game has an interesting history that occurs in a kind of dark atmosphere. Graphically, it's very beautiful, we can see the attention to detail. Another big pro is the combat system, truly one of the best I have ever seen. It combines gunfight with melee and also a bow, and this works very well. The fact that it doesn't have an excessive amount of weapons is good, asOn the pro side, the game has an interesting history that occurs in a kind of dark atmosphere. Graphically, it's very beautiful, we can see the attention to detail. Another big pro is the combat system, truly one of the best I have ever seen. It combines gunfight with melee and also a bow, and this works very well. The fact that it doesn't have an excessive amount of weapons is good, as well as the possibility of upgrading the ones you have.

    The biggest downside of this game is that it is a FAKE open world game. Although you can return to any region of the map, it is absolutely unnecessary to do so. Also, you can't enter in a given combat from whatever side of the island you want (like Far Cry), that is, you just can't create different strategies to engage a group of enemies. So, despite the effort, it's really a strictly linear history. After playing games like Fallout, Skyrim or even Far Cry, you just hope that an open world would offer much more liberty to make your own history and strategies, however, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition fails to do so.

    Another thing I HATED is that you have no liberty to interact with the environment, you can only interact with the things that the game lets you. For example, you have an ability to make a double jump in the wall, but it only works in the specific walls determined by the game. If you try to double jump in any other walls, it just doesn't work! There are places where you COULD climb, judging by the ability of the character, however, considering that these places are not designed by the game creators to be climbed, so you just can't. You can shoot arrows attached in ropes, BUT ONLY IN THE PLACES PREVIOUSLY DESIGNED by the game creators. If you try to be creative and attach your arrow and rope in any other place, to try to create a strategy, you just can't. This is VERY frustrating, it's as if you were following a script.

    Finally, the game is short and after completion I don't see reason to replay it.    … Expand

    Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a good game. The story isn't really that compelling, and the gameplay is alright, but not incredible. I would recommend it when it goes on sale for almost anyone. It's a fun 10 hour game.

    Great game.Every ps4 owner should have this game.Graphics are not some ultra quality but thats not important...True adventure,interesting places,enemies...If you love Uncharted,you will love this.

    Tomb Raider has great graphics and gorgeous locations. The gameplay feels smooth and there's nothing cluncky about the controls. I really enjoyed playing this game and really liked that it's so cheap in 2017.

    Action-packed, gritty, exciting, and gorgeous, Tomb Raider gives a stealth-based adventure that redefines a character and reintroduces a series back into mainstream media. What I loved most about this game is the attention to detail that it gives Lara as an emotional protagonist. Her first kill in the game is heart-breaking and we really feel that she is a great person thrust into aAction-packed, gritty, exciting, and gorgeous, Tomb Raider gives a stealth-based adventure that redefines a character and reintroduces a series back into mainstream media. What I loved most about this game is the attention to detail that it gives Lara as an emotional protagonist. Her first kill in the game is heart-breaking and we really feel that she is a great person thrust into a terrible experience, having to fight to survive instead of to kill. The game provides challenging chapters, jaw-dropping graphics, and puzzling areas for the gamer to beat all while having an absolute blast doing so. Not only is it the greatest Tomb Raider to date (of release), but it's one of the best video game entries that money can buy. All I could ask from the game is more of what I was given because I love this character and the world they've created.… Expand

    Primer Tomb raider que juego, y la verdad me parecio un muy buen juego, con la historia justa y necesaria, pero con una buena jugabilidad, empezando con una lara que parece inocente y temeraria, teniendo que tomar coraje y los raudales para escarpar de sus apuros, recomendado!

    Tomb Raider on the PS4 looks phenomenal. Lara's character model was redesigned using new tech and the results are quite amazing. This version also includes a new side mission, a new tomb, two digital books, a making of doc and all the DLC released. In addition, the PS4's light bar changes color according to Lara's health status. While the use of the PS4's speaker for audio clips is cool,Tomb Raider on the PS4 looks phenomenal. Lara's character model was redesigned using new tech and the results are quite amazing. This version also includes a new side mission, a new tomb, two digital books, a making of doc and all the DLC released. In addition, the PS4's light bar changes color according to Lara's health status. While the use of the PS4's speaker for audio clips is cool, the effect is ruined since the TV also plays the audio simultaneously. If you've never played "Tomb Raider" before, then you're in for quite a treat. It plays like Far Cry 3, but with a Resident Evil 4 over-the-shoulder combat mechanic. However, if you've already played the PS2 version, you might not need this. With the exception of the prettier graphics and minor new additions, there's not much new.     Way to much scripted BS and QTE. Combat it just works. Platforming mostly works, but it can glitch out. I had no emotional connection to the dull story or the dull characters. The progression skills and scavenging system are very basic. The Tomb Raiding aspect was so underwhelming. General performance ok, but stability not so ok with a few game crashes. Game play suffers because theWay to much scripted BS and QTE. Combat it just works. Platforming mostly works, but it can glitch out.     Tomb Raider does great until the very first wolf related QTE. The game teaches you button mashing the whole way during the tutorial phase. Then suddenly you are required to mash the button according to timing with ZERO indication. This confuses the hell out of the player. This is BAD game design,

    Amazing game! Tomb Raider was always one of my favorite female game character. They have changed a lot but you can still feel the original Tomb Raider vibe. Combat and complete gameplay is just beautiful, pure enjoyment.

    Definitely a must buy for every Tomb Raider fan. What I found weird though, was that they changed her face from what it looked like on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I wonder why? Other than that a really amazing game, just like it's last gen counterpart....well it's exactly the same just with redefined textures and other things. I wish I would've bought this way sooner. I bought this game end ofDefinitely a must buy for every Tomb Raider fan. What I found weird though, was that they changed her face from what it looked like on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. I wonder why?     I played this one on ps3, but i really enjoy playing it on ps4.
    Me and alot of friends who play this have so much fun with iT.
    Graphics are very Nice and realistic and the 60 frames per second on ps4 runs smooth as butter . This is one of the best games on ps4 richt now

    I've never given anything a 0 before and didnt plan to. This game showed promise but I get a CE-34878-0 Error everytime I get to a certain part of the game about an hour in. I've tried every troubleshooting thing I can find online - which ultimately allowed me to progress about 10 minutes. I've owned my PS4 for a year and never ran into this error in the past. Unfortunately I'm notI've never given anything a 0 before and didnt plan to. This game showed promise but I get a CE-34878-0 Error everytime I get to a certain part of the game about an hour in. I've tried every troubleshooting thing I can find online - which ultimately allowed me to progress about 10 minutes. I've owned my PS4 for a year and never ran into this error in the past.     Gran juego de tomb raider donde da comienzo la historia de Lara croft, donde la acción esta asegurada, es una compra muy buena.

    This is by far the best Tomb Raider game to come out since it first began. There is so much depth and the gameplay is stellar. Graphics are top notch and its also very challenging. It starts out slow, but you'll soon find yourself in an all out war. If your looking for a great game at a discount price for the PS4, this is for you!!!

    After playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider and going back to playing this game I thought it would've lost it's appeal due to it being an older version, but that was not the case at all. Tomb Raider is still a great game to play.     Un reboot muy bien hecho, estupendo, excepcional, vale la pena jugar a este titulo.
    Lamentablemente demasiado corto, creo que en menos de 10 horas lo puedes terminar facilmente.
    Contenido secundario no hay, lo unico son masmorras o tumbas creo que eran, que estaban escondidas y debes explorar un poco mas el mapa para encontrarlas, pero de ahi no hay nada mas. Una jugabilidad muy buena,    Un reboot muy bien hecho, estupendo, excepcional, vale la pena jugar a este titulo.
    Lamentablemente demasiado corto, creo que en menos de 10 horas lo puedes terminar facilmente.

    Una historia muy bien desarrollada con villas o jefes increible, sinseramente por este apartado vale la pena jugarlo, una Lara que sufre mucho, que al morir en diferentes partes hay unas autoejecuciones asombrosas, brutales.
    Un juego de la pasada generacion, pero que en PS4, luce bien, aunque es un port, con mas detalle de sombre e iluminacion.
    Obtuve el juego por $25 , y se puede conseguir por menos, en definitiva es una excelente compra.

    Very good game indeed and one of the best in the Tomb Raider franchise. Lara is the definition of badassery and strong female image, the story is awesome and the combat is great, the graphics are also very good.

    I was absolutely wowed by this game the first time I played it through because I was paying so much attention to the cut scenes and redesigned Lara Croft was a joy to behold...But having had a year to sit and consider the game's broader meaning, the second time around the game's flaws are all the more apparent.
