When I talk about cooperative games The Division 2 is without a doubt one of the best games to play with friends, best of all are the dozens of missions and events ect that game has one of the games that I have the most hours of playing, without PVP because I only play rooms private with friends all sorts of games for obvious reasons,,but just the great game is one of my favorites too

    INSANELY UNDERRATED!!!

I gotta say I’ve been shocked at how hooked this game has me. If you like looter shooters like Borderlands this is your **** It’s like the game Destiny wanted to be I feel. The gear is actually good and the cover-switching just WORKS. Pro tip: customize your HUD and turn your compass wayyyyy down. Minimize almost everything and just go!

What Division 2 gets right is everything that made Division 1 good after their much-praised 1.8 update. But then you add in a more streamlined experience in the stat building and skill system and you can easily adjust to a big game and its nuances in ways that the previous Division game simply failed at. But the game's biggest asset is one that the press has completely left untouched: endgame. There is a SIGNIFICANT endgame experience here that really opens up the game in a similar way Destiny 2's Dreaming City did for the Forsaken expansion. You have this base game that you play through to get adjusted to the game and its system and its story but it becomes something more shortly after finishing the core game. I think The Division overall has a very good thing going for it BUT I think the game is also very limited in its vision and direction. There are no vehicles to play with, there is no open world aspect (just shared world), and the crafting system isn't all that deep which makes it hard to create an "agent" that's truly unique. Sure, the skill system attempts to address that but it really doesn't do a great job at solving that desire that I'd wager most gamers have when playing these kinds of games. I wish there was a skill tree that people could go down that made them better at certain things and less better at others so that a more varied and situational experience would unfold. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After really losing the will to live with Destiny and struggling to find a game which wasn't Battle Royale based The Division 2 has been a game well worth our collective times.
We picked up the Division for a fiver at the beginning of the year, and loved that game. I guess getting something way after patches are put in place gave us the better experience. This meant the Division 2 was a launch day purchase.
Getting to level 30 was an enjoyable experience, then the game flips the crap out of everything and you realise that trip to level 30 was just effectively a glorified training programme, the real fun doesn't begin until you flip, then your specialisations and total level really kicks in, its like having 2 games. The feeling of success when you complete level 30 faced with the fact you have to do it again but this time missions are more involved, with a team of 4 just plain crazy at times.
for those shouting its too repetitive etc - I'm not sure I could ever get bored with constant gun battles, strafing runs and all sorts of carnage around you. Do I care the story line is a bit weaker than, the first one? NO NO NO - more guns, more bangs and certainly more fun. Loved that this game wasn't given the usual pre release Hype - makes it even more of a special thing.
We haven't even hit the DLC yet!

Let's get the elephant out of the room. The Division 2 plays better than Destiny 2. While Destiny has extreme jumping, The Division has extreme tactics. You can win many fights with good positions and smart use of special abilities. My favorite special is a turret that acts a second player when I am running through missions solo. Pop that turret on a tall structure before a fight and watch it take out low level enemies and do some considerable damage to high level enemies. A team can wipe out an army with good planning and positioning.

The Division 2 also has better a.i. than Destiny. The a.i. is still not very smart, and enemies will always choose to run suicide missions in small groups as part of the game play. Compared to Destiny, though, you never see the a.i. running backwards up stairs or refusing to engage beyond a predetermined zone. Bosses in the Division have way too much health, but none are given a one-shot attack or an area of effect boss stomp.

Matchmaking in The Division 2 works great even a year after release. The middle-game missions can be difficult to find players. People buy into the game for $3 like I did and then stop after a few hours. Anyone who keeps playing will focus on the end-game. Reaching the endgame opens up players to the ultimate joys of matchmaking and playing with a group at a moments notice for any activity. This was great for me because I bought into The Division 2 so late that none of my friends are playing it anymore. (The upside to paying full price at launch is enjoying all the millions of people who are playing at the same time and same level as you.)

Visually, the game is appealing. UI elements are plenty but well placed to not take up too much of the screen. The setting is an excellent 1:1 recreation of the Washington D.C. area. If you have been there, it will feel familiar. My one complaint is the amount of trash, totes, fences, and other junk littering the area. Surely there would be garbage in the streets during an Apocalypse, but the people of D.C. would have to truck in garbage from out of town to junk up a city so much. The game also has no driving sections despite the streets littered with abandoned cars. (Maybe driving will be in The Division 3.) Fighting in museums and historical landmarks is at times clever, and I appreciate the thought that went into the design of this game. I would love a tourist mode like Ubisoft had in Assassin's Creed: Origin.

Now the bad. I don't like all this leveling. In the early game, you have to level-up to take on new missions. I was utterly bored early on with little in the way of guns and abilities and playing a generic third person cover shooter. As new abilities and weapons open up, the tactical game takes form. In the mid game, the joy of playing to outweighs the drudgery of inventory management. The end-game has more leveling up, and numbers go as high 600 for "gear score". This is the same idea as light level in Destiny, and as with Destiny, the numbers are meaningless as enemies scale with the player. This is where the drudgery of inventory management starts to outweigh the joy of playing. The game becomes a hamster wheel of finding higher level gear, dismantling old gear, and repeat.

The missions have a few set pieces that bridge the divide between a quality of Call of Duty campaign and a generic defend the hacking process from Destiny. The missions eventually become generic kill lower level enemies before killing a boss. By end game, The Division 2 has run out of new areas to fight it, and you fight new enemies in old areas. The lack of vehicles is a hindrance, and you never have the diversity of gunning from an APC or dropping from a helicopter. These limitations are endemic to this genre of games and why a Division or a Destiny will never be as good as a Halo or a Call of Duty.

Some caveats. As mentioned, I bought this game for $3. A lot of people bought it for $3 from PSN or perhaps less as a used title from Gamestop. Before I bought this, the only Division in my life was the beta for The Division 1. I hated the bullet sponge enemies. This is a Tom Clancy game and Tom Clancy means realism. I 100% believe that The Division would be better as true tactical shooter, but after 5 and 1/2 years of shenanigans in Destiny, I am more forgiving of shenanigans in The Division. That being said, I will only go so far playing The Division 2, as the hamster wheel is only so fun for so long.

Chasing new gear and loot is very satisfying. Every time I got stronger so did the mobs. As in more of and better equipped. The gunplay gadgets and combat is engaging. I am in it for the looter, shooter and exploration parts. It has settlement upgrade trees, unlockable player skills and gear crafting options. So it all adds up to a nice package. I finally got to a comfortable level of playing. Using a mostly the suppressing LMG and old style battle rifle combo. With using a turret and drone support while trying to keeping my distance from the enemy. The again up close and personal the shotgun can be a lot of fun.

I was soloing this until I get bored or it beat me. I am not really into the co-op or PvP side of live service games. Got it super cheap and the perfect type of long form game to kill the time in Lockdown Pandemic. Ironic that this game is about a virus gone amok hey?

Story, characters and dialogue I don't give a crap about. The NPCs' are not believable or realistic characters anyway. The spawns are kind of cheap in some places. Trash mobs suddenly burst out of doors that the player has no access to. These cheap spawns have put me in some really bad positioning, oh well.

Hitting level 30 I opted out after the fireworks display cut scene. I just couldn't go through another level of grind like that any time so. Maybe I will come back to it someday, but not anytime soon I thought. Then a couple of weeks later I was back in for the ride again ha ha. So after the fireworks everything amps up with lots more intense firefights and some new surprises. Now with all hell let loose on the streets the game ended up being way more fun. I am on the third leveling tier out five so far.

I ve played The Division 1 but never reached late game back then. Still the game impressions took me at surprise and so I wanted to be dedicated to Division 2 from Day 1 on. After a good 20-30 hours of gameplay I do not regret my decision. The game looks nice, playing on PS4 Pro I never had any crashes or slow downs after the early patches. Graphics have some pop-in issues that could be resolved but overall it looks decent. The cosmetics are awesome and seeing the loot develop my characters appearal is great!

The atmosphere is done right. It feels a bit like Walking Dead even, might be a strange comparison to some but it was the first thing that came to my mind. The city looks nice, there are lots of jobs to do and many settlements to develop. Loot is everywhere and the progress of loot is according to the players level, leaving not much to complain for. The sound is decent. Weapon sounds are gorgeous. I like the OST but it could be a bit more intense sometimes. It still suits the atmosphere very well.

I m around level 18. Perk and skill unlocks are well progressed. I was able to do every job, quest, bounty solo so far. Some assaults are hard and a bit grindy but it works out if you do it tactical. Some bugs have to be resolved around popping in enemies around the player. But I did not encounter many bugs at all so far. Ubisoft did a good job at early patching.

Coop with friends is done easy and works well. Fast travel and some quality-of-life implementations help to enjoy The Division 2 quite a lot. The game gets grindy at times but I guess thats what you buy with a loot shooter. Still hopping between the different mission types helps to soothen the problem and always brings cool new story locations up which are really fun and I have to give Ubisoft a thumbs up for those. The loading times are okay so far. I think they tried their best on the graphics. The PS4 pro sounds at least as it is at its peak trying to dish out the graphics.

For people who enjoy looting and a bit of grinding combined on a solid solo or coop shooter, they will not be disappointed with The Division 2 I think. For sceptics I would wait a bit for a drop of 20-30% in price. At least the 69.99 price tag on the PSN seems to much. 40-50 is deserving for this blockbuster shooter. Enjoy your time, agents!

What has to be -for me- done for a 10/10?:
    - Stop overpricing. 69.99 is already high, the gold and ultimate editions are ripoffs imho
    - Push the graphics a bit in terms of sharper textures
    - Reduce the loading times a tiny bit
    - Some minor AI glitches should be improved
    - I feel the story is nice but it fades away in between the grinding which is a bit sad
    - Some missions should be a bit rebalanced, e.g. Supply Drops, which are really hard for solos

In my time with the game I feel more like a tourist than a highly skilled agent, as exploring the world revealed stories of survival and sacrifice.
From the start the Division 2 offers a fairly in depth character customization as compared to the previous title. Though the intro is pretty bland it does do a good job of providing a basic tutorial for the combat system, and it justifies why your agent is leaving to go to DC.
When it comes down to it the Division 2 is a looter shooter and with every looter shooter it requires two things, good combat and spectacular loot and this game provides it. The moment to moment action is so alive and unique almost every encounter is never the same. Each faction is so unique in how they fight how they look and how they react to the open world and the players decisions in combat. There are four factions in the game, the Hyenas which are your run of the mill gang bangers that steal from anyone they can kill, the True Sons which are a militarized capitalist faction that are taking Washington by force, than there are the Outcast a a group of people that were left for dead on Roosevelt island and are out for blood against anyone who put them there, but once you have taken back Washington and reached level 30 a new faction arises in the form of the Black Tusk a completely private military with the most advanced tech on the battlefield. With all these different factions they are wonderful at making the player feel vulnerable by restricting movement with foam and fire while constantly rushing the player with shotguns or suicide bombers. Now when the shooting stops it's time to loot, and this is where the drive of players will determine their experience as everyone has access to the content available in the game, but the loot that drops is individual to each player. With the looting system really defining how your character progresses, the Division 2’s pacing is one of the best in recent years for the genre as I never once felt under leveled or even overpowered during my time with the game. I was constantly forced into making more tactical decisions about who to shoot first and where I should be. The loot you receive isn't how it was in the first division as you can recieve “Superior” or “High-end” items before level 30, and I can honestly say it makes the first 30 levels way more enjoyable.
So once you pass level 30 you make your way into endgame and this is where the fun begins because you gain access to the games three specializations. The three specializations are the Demolitionist which has a M32A1 Multi-shot Grenade Launcher; Survivalist which has access to an Explosive tipped Crossbow; and the Sharpshooter which has access to a TAC-50 C Rifle. Now with these specializations they aren't meant to change how you play but compliment how you play by giving you access to perks that affect how you perform in combat.
In conclusion I have played for roughly 40 hours and I firmly believe that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is one to pick up as it comes with enough content to last until the release of Tidal Basin and I can honestly say I can't wait. The Division 2 has all the answers to how looter shooters should be and not the poor excuse that Anthem was, and as a player of Anthem, Destiny, and the first Division I could not recommend this game enough as it comes with enough content to put all those game to rest on day one, so I wouldn't mind spending my money and time to further this experience.

Why other games that are more frugal with their loot don't take a leaf out of this game. Players want to be rewarded with new, better, shinier items. So give it to us! Loot is varied and has lots of different stats. So far, I'm very happy.

Gameplay: I've enjoyed it for the most part. There are times where you get suddenly rushed from a new wave and find yourself in a position where you are just surrounded without being able to do anything. Also the cover mechanic can cause problems at times. Playing alone is very difficult and finding a group through matchmaking can be tricky if you want to complete side missions and events. When everything is working well, you have a good group and you are taking on the main missions or side missions together, it's really fun.

Technical issues: I have had the game crash about 3-4 times in about ten hours (on PS4 pro) I have also experienced the odd frame rate drop, enemy gliding across the floor, etc... There was also a freeze when trying to examine clans and looking at friends' clans.

Overall: This is obviously early impressions. I will need to play much more to give a comprehensive endgame review. The gun play is fun. There is enough variety and challenge from the AI to keep things varied. Like I say, some of the ways enemies just appear all around you can make things messy and that doesn't lend itself to the cover based shooter it is trying to be. With a group its really fun. Solo, it can get very frustrating because as you level up things get too hard on your own. There are going to be obvious comparisons with Anthem. I personally prefer this as someone who is keen on creating builds and love looters. This to me is more of a looter. you can see your gear as soon as you pick it up and it drops frequently better stuff. I'd give it an 8 now but potential to get a 9 if the endgame is there.

There are a few minor bugs, a few delta errors, but after playing the latest AAA titles that have failed HORRIBLY, this game feels surreal at how smooth it feels. Mission designs are challenging in a 4 player group, and only get harder as you level up and start to get better gear. Highly recommend this game if you are looking for something to play with endless content.

My biggest gripe is how this feels more like Division 1.5 instead of Division 2, for all new additions I feel they are just too minor and too similar to make it truly feel like a sequel, instead it seems like a giant expansion to me.

While I will have more impressions about the game as I continue to explore its world I feel like 8 is going to be my final score. If this was Division 1 at launch, I would have given it a 6.

The sunsets are blinding. While these do keep with the realities of the real world, after the first few times it just impedes play and the aesthetics are lost. There is a wonderful ease to match up with other players. Makes it enjoyable, makes the world feel full. The roaming mobs feel a little too on top of each other. It's annoying to fight one mob and have another spawn behind you and join the fight. I've run out of ammo quite a few times just fighting mobs. Anyway, this is just after around 10 hours of play. I'm hopeful. Hope there's plenty of PVE content for end game. Because I don't play games enough PVP is for really dedicated players, otherwise it just feels frustrating. This is the game that really got me into multiplayer. It does get repetitive at times, but great in short bursts with friends. The customization aspects might turn some people off, it's actually more looter than shooter, but if you dig into the mechanics of putting together a build with skills and attributes that fit your play-style, you'll gladly sink those hours in!

The environments are very detailed and help prevent the missions from feeling too repetitive. Of course, all these missions involve you going to a place and killing a ton of enemies while pressing square a few times throughout. But the guns felt great, and the skills were really fun, so I happily played through the main "story" up until the same exact locations were being recycled for new missions, only with "tougher" enemies. That's when you really have to play co-op unless you want a tedious challenge.

Not a bad experience for $2.99.

Despite having a blast slugging through D2 (and consider myself a fan of the original) there is definitely that 'something missing' with this iteration to truly separate it from the new york outing... The Washington based story was just not as impactful for me and sadly the last gen and weirdly plastic looking human characters really took me out of the story experience noticeably marring the quality of the campaigns cutscenes.

D2 shows me how in future publishers like ubi could truly benefit from allowing their devs time and breathing space to create something far more meaningful and transformative in the ever busy gamespace instead of going for the cash-grab sequels.

I still love the vast and well-designed inventory, the large array of weapons and their personalization, the beauty of the open world (Washington DC is well represented), and of course the fact it is made to be played with 3 friends. It's a must have for coop lovers, just like the first iteration. It's extremely addictive and despite its defaults, it for sure made me want to get that best exotic weapon and to complete everything that is completable. On the things I also liked, I noted a pretty large endgame and the servers that have never shown any problem. The fact that the updates of year 1 were free is also a good point.

Gameplaywise, the game benefits from a few improvements and new features here and there, but basically, it remains the same thing as the first game. A thing I don't really like in this game is that more emphasis was put on the different factions of the game than on the actual sickness itself. I think that using this virus thing to create a tense and interesting atmosphere could have been done way better. I found the same problem in the first game, but I feel it's more severe here. The story wasn't that interesting, I would have really liked it better if an emphasis had been put on the actual sickness more than on the "villains". Even the collectibles failed to convince on that regard. This can sound dumb, but take Control's collectibles for example, they are adding value to the story of the game and motivate you to read them, even though they are basically text with missing words!

Same goes for the Darkzone. In The Division 1, I really could feel the tension that goes with it, but in TD2, I kind of missed that feel. Is it because I am not new to the franchise or because they made it less good? A bit of both I guess. To add on the Darkzone, I regret the fact that looting there has almost no point since it doesn't bring any exclusive or highly interesting item in comparison with the regular story. The result is that when you go to the Darkzone, you don't really have any particular interest to grind for.

Another default of this game is the quality of the sound, the gunshots of the vast majority of the weapons feel stale, and there is a TON of sound bugs. Sometimes I wouldn't hear the sounds of the open-world anymore, sometimes only the voices or gunshots, sometimes nothing at all, and the worst is that sometimes I would hear that constant high-pitched noise.

Still on the negative side, I really hate the competitive PvP playlist. It is not balanced at all. I understand that players who grinded for a good loadout have to be advantaged somehow, but the way they did it for this basically results in competing in a deathmatch where the beginner can throw rocks while the extreme majority of opponents (since the game isn't new) destroy newbies with their insanely powerful guns.

Nevertheless and to conclude, I can confirm this game will keep coop shooter players happy for a good amount of time and that their money will be worthily invested considered how low its price currently is.

Instead of scaling the coop partners towards the squad leader, every enemies is scaled towards the highest level player. This puts lower level players at an unfair disadvantage because higher level players will breeze through the missions with booth stats and experience on their side while the lower level players have neither and often end up dropping within a split second of exposure. If you liked the first division then you’ll probably enjoy this one too.

People giving this 9s and 10s need to get their head out of their arses. Red Dead 2 is a 9. God of War is a 9.
Maybe it’s because fans of shooter looters have been getting nothing but crap these past few months, so the first game that comes around that’s actually decent seems like the second coming of Christ.
and people giving this 1s and 0s just need to grow up and stop carrying on like pork chops.
Even fallout 76 for all the flak its coping (and rightfully so I’ll add) is still a 3 or 4. Maybe even a 2 if Bethesda really F****d you over.

Personally I don’t see myself sticking around for the endgame but it was perfectly adequate time waster. If you’ve got a group of friends that are looking blow some sh*t up together then I’d recommend this game to you. If your a bit sceptical just give the game some time to settle in and pick it up when it drops in price.

I'm going to rate Division 2 one higher then the original as they did fix some of the issues with the first game. I had a lot of fun for the first bit and did find some parts challenging. I like the overall re-playability of the game; however, Div1 seemed to offer a bit more diversity in its game content after a year since the title's release and Div2 is lagging behind a little. New life should be breathed into it once The Summit DLC is released. Still my number one played game, even despite a score of 7. Expand

Washington DC is beautiful, as expected from the engine. But it's still a city of locked doors and samey landscapes, unfortunately.

In fact, the main campaign and the sidequests are worse than in the first game. There is more shooting and more shooting (did I mention more shooting) but quite a bit less story. No Times Square shootout, no good personal stories to be found and traced.

In fact, the main campaign and the sidequests are worse than in the first game. There is more shooting and more shooting (did I mention more shooting) but quite a bit less story. No Times Square shootout, no good personal stories to be found and traced. Fewer echoes, seemingly, too.

Another thing The Division 2 severely lacks is the proper power fantasy (well, so did the first game, . but I'm reviewing the second one here). You grow up in levels and gear score, but the game stays relatively the same - one headshot for a basic enemy, a few mags for an elite, twice the ammo supply of the entire squad (in headshots, no less) for an elite bounty tank on the highest difficulty (and what an entertaining 10-15 minutes it is... not). Your skills have pretty long cooldowns and aren't particularly gamechanging, but you always die in a few hits because the game helpfully progresses the world tier and the enemy levels to always keep you challenged. There is little flair in everything too. Diablo or even Borderlands this game is not.

What remains is a competent (but aggravatingly bugged as of March 29th) game. It doesn't crash and you rarely get stuck, but there's a truckload of small things - tutorial voice lines being played every time you leave a group and enter base of operations, interact key in some situations being hard bound to F regardless of your preference (but not all the time, for that would be consistent). Some items being unreachable unless you consumed the content in the right order, et c. It's an AAA product with a paid public hype demo called a "beta" for some reason.

One may be tired of playing Warframe, Destiny, Anthem or whatever else, but Division 2 doesn't bring enough content and variety to justify a full price yet. Maybe in a year or two, with extra DLCs, assuming there is a player base still.

Division 2 is a very looking game with a setup that I love (this post apocalyptic realistic universe) and quite a big map with lots of main and side missions. The gameplay is well crafted for multiplayer encounters but this is all the good things I can say about it.
In rest, it is just a basic game.. no single player investment because the story is similar to any racing game: forgettable characters that need to do the same 'races' against stronger and stronger opponents. No feeling of progress except the equipment but still, microtransactions. Nothing really new.. we already saw all this in Division 1, just with more expectations so it felt wrong. Now, suddenly everyone likes it.. only because multiplayer was nice. But what abut singleplayer.. That is why I choose other Ubisoft games like AC.
One more thing..in a way, I feel that the basic difficulty (story) is too difficult. I know, I am not good enough :) but still, I would like to experience the story on my own without any multiplayer help in a smooth way if I choose to. I died at least once in almost all side quests that one level higher than my player and this is not how it should be. It just means the casual gamer will not find this game pleasant. I get it to be difficult in the main campaign but the side quests?
Overall, I am not impressed. I wanted to give this game a 7, but thinking that is Ubisoft .. that made games like Farcry and AC more pleasant for the casual gamer, so I cannot recommend it. All the full time multiplayer gamers don't need this review to decide to buy this game so there you go. Think about it more like a 6.5 :)
Nothing to do here. It is more fun to watch reviews about it than to actually play it.

Overall, it’s not hard to see how much potential The Division 2 has. Sure, it’s a good game, but with the proper care, it could be the best game of the year… should the developers decide to fix the easily avoidable bugs that cause major inconveniences. With a fitting plot, marvelous war mechanics, and tons of lore, The Division 2 is about as good as an RPG-Shooter can get. But please Ubisoft, for the love of god, fix the little things. It’s early, you still got some time to redeem yourself!

But then you hit world tier 5 and there isn't much more to find here - only an endless exhausting grind loop doing the same missions in the same locations over and over again. A lot more bugs have appeared over time, bugs that have a significant impact on the experience overall. If the game was done by world tier 5 I would gladly say I got my money's worth, and then some. It would be a 8.5/10. But since this is a live service game it has to be scored as a live service game. Also note that the base game isn't the full game, it's a scaled down version of the full game. The gold edition with the year pass is. So if you don't want hideous grind walls to unlock a specific class (gunner) or wait for the content that is being delayed 'cause you didn't get the year pass, well... you are probably better of with the year pass. All things considered: The slow but steady decay and the monetization of this game just lowers the score significantly.
И вот вышла The Division 2.
Ghost Recon.

This is Division 1.5 AT BEST and same-old-crap at worst. The story is just as bad. The gameplay loop is just as repetitive & honestly off-putting for most people who have no idea how looter-shooters work. Trust me, a lot of people are new to this especially to console players. it is super difficult to learn and remember all the mechanics and every single feature this game offers when it is super un-intuitive. Tutorial is horrible, many missions wont even trigger when you want to play solo, and some on-map actives would just disappear while you are on the way to get there. GPS breaks every 10 min too. The whole "liberated zones" is pointless when enemy AI can capture zones back instantly after you die. So does that mean gamemap resets or somehow moves time ahead every time I die in free roam? The hold-button for this action things are also tiresome. It's just a shame that nothing really important was improved on Division 2 compared to 1. Yes you can get now 4th weapon and specialised classes, yes now gadgets are more interesting but is it really that hard to improve simple but super important mechanics like .... JUMPING? Or decent cover system? Just copy Uncharted! Or any other game that figured it out years ago. The number of clutter UI and HUD is also messy. I dont know what I was expecting from Ubisoft, but I guess they learn very slow.
There COULD be enjoyment here, I just could not find it, I did not manage even to do all main missions on the map because of how frustrated I am with it. Just utter disappointment. Don't waste your time and money.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This following review is more for people who care about their appearance more than the gameplay and mechanics, since those are more than fine.
My main issue is that my character's appearance changed and I don't see them having the intention on adding the full on customisation anytime soon, which is kinda ridiculous, seeing as they are charging real money for premium credits in turn of being able to buy apparel and sh*t.
It definitely is an improvement of the first one, but this bug is game breaking to me. My character looks like a neanderthal and it's ruining my personal gameplay.
I don't give a sh*t if it's kind of a harsh rating, but I'm seriously pissed off and I do not recommend anyone buying it (people who care about their character's appearance that is) until this issue got fixed. The support is also full of sh*t since they messaged me and told me that they were going to fix it as soon as possible, but when reading recent patch notes they said that the full on customisation won't be coming any time soon which f*cked me right off. It's already in the game and they act as if it's the hardest thing to add onto the white house base of operations. Seriously incompetent in my opinion, one of the worst within the last year including the disappointment that Fallout 76 was. Wildlands was great compared to this, very unfortunate, I was looking forward to this game only to have my experience ruined by some amateur mistake.
Was gonna give this maybe an eight 8/10, but that's not happening, lmao.

All I can say about this game with it's story, game mechanics is another bland average game from Ubisoft. I'm tired of ppl saying it's fun with friends, anything is fun with friends which doesn't mean this game is any good.

Let me lay it out from my perspective, starting with the bad:

The Bad: 1. A lot of grinding, and it is not rewarding. 2. Looting is not rewarding. 3. Crating random gear is not rewarding. 4. Complex and confusing gear system; some lower-level items are better than higher-level items and nowhere is it explained why. 5. Soundtrack not as good as the first game; kept asking myself,

    The Bad:
    1. A lot of grinding, and it is not rewarding.
    2. Looting is not rewarding.
    3. Crating random gear is not rewarding.
    4. Complex and confusing gear system; some lower-level items are better than higher-level items and nowhere is it explained why.
    5. Soundtrack not as good as the first game; kept asking myself, "where is the music?"
    6. Players are forced into repeating the same missions for the same item to craft some gear, and in the end -- that's right -- it's not worth it.
    7. Grinding for secrets, ie the Owl thing, and getting a huge disappointment in the end. Yay!
    8. Story and factions are forgettable; while I was playing, I kept thinking of the factions in Division 1.
    9. Dark Zone.... *sigh*

    The Good:
    1. Insane level of detail; graphics are amazing.
    2. Level design overall is fun.
    3. Shooting and attack system is enjoyable.
    4. The heroic mode for levels is the way this game should be played.
    5. Tactics and strategy system to finishing levels is very enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the negatives always outweigh the good. The grinding for gear and looting is what I found the most ridiculous thing in the game. And there is a lot of grinding to finish the daily missions too, let alone to get good gear; try fining the gold necklace -- hint: you won't find it even after a week of searching.

Conclusion: 5 out of 10 is generous.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has thrown its hat into the ring for being a possible 'Game of the Year' contender for 2019. The post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. is such an eerie site to see, and Agents can roam around solo or in groups to complete missions and earn better loot to upgrade their characters. With more content well on the way, the base game is still packed with heaps of stuff to do - and the huge variety in gear types and stat boosts, modifications, and skills means that 1000+ hours can easily be put into this title over the course of the year. The only bane to these sorts of titles is the 'always-online' internet connection that is required, which does remove some parts of the gaming population from being able to play it, unfortunately.

The Division 2 is easily the best of its type; it has the right balance of fun, challenge, dopamine loot drops, and sweet graphics that all but guarantee I’ll be playing this one for a long, long time to come. If you haven’t jumped in yet and think this might be for you, hesitate no longer - Ubisoft has absolutely nailed it the second time around.

It all adds up to one of the finest games multiplayer role-player shooters out there. This is how gaming with friends is meant to be.
