The first part was boring, but she had a style.
Now the game has remained boring, but it does not have its own style.

Much worse than the same Overkill Walking Dead

Yet another empty game loop, using a new skin on the previous game. Ubisoft games are what's wrong with games today.

Don't bother. This game was released with so many issues it's too frustrating to play. It's complicated and not intuitive, I was looking up how to do vital things like respond to a backup request and where certain things are. They game overloads you with options, perks and skills. Things are spread out over the world and pedantic.
The story is bland, post apocalyptic kife. It's so boring

The story is bland, post apocalyptic kife. It's so boring and forgettable you will end up skipping over it. The people in the settlements seem way to chill with vicious murders living blocks away from them.
The bugs are enormous and plentiful in this rushed, corporate mess, making it unplayable at this point. My drone would disappear after deployment, my gun would not fire, and I got a constant "poor connection to server" message at the bottom of my screen. My internet is good and I play other online games with ease.
Play something with effort and care put into it, like Vermintide 2 if you want a great co-op experience, don't waste $80 like I did on this trash

This game isn't for people with no friends. No one picks up your call requests, no one revives you in missions. How am I supposed to get to level 30 when I can't even replay the main missions for xp? How am I supposed to take over control points by myself? This **** is **** tedious. All because the developers wanted us to die easier in the sequel. Level 23 and I don't feel like playing anymore.

So boring and repetitive. This game looks like published in 2009 not 2019. Rigid control and completely linear gameplay. This could be DLC for Division 1 but it has full price - ridiculous.

Division 2 is basically a copy and paste of the first game with a few minor addons, bug fixes, and gameplay mechanics but also comes with new bugs, crashes, and texture glitches. nothing innovative and not worth the initial price point.

there is nothing different then the 1st one. The gun play is trash, the pvp is full of Chinese hackers, and the missions still bug out and cannot be completed. I grind for 30 hours just to get insta-killed by other agents and NPC alike. Ubisoft shows us that they have learned nothing from their past mistakes. This game is lipstick on a pig

This is weird, no final critic reviews for the released version of The Division 2? Yet everyone scored Anthem in the early access and demo phase before Anthems official release?? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Props to that one Critic that actually did leave a review though and to be honest, that is a good review.

Most reviews will tell you, The Division 2's story is a bit lacking, some cant even tell you what the story is about yet they will also tell you "Who really cares, its a looter shooter! Who needs story?"
Alas, Anthem will get blasted because it has a "mediocre" story that compared to The Division 2, is miles ahead in terms of quality.
If you have played The Division 1 then you have played The Division 2 without even having to purchase it. Simple as that. You will have fun for a while, which is the same for any game until you realise you just spent full AAA title price on an expansion that should have added to The Division 1. On release where you would expect there to be tons of players online, the world felt pretty lonely. Only having the company of some bland NPC's. Even in the Hubs, I expected to see players everywhere but there was not one. Matchmaking took forever, I don't know if this is a bug or if people actually play the game instead of watching 1 or two other people play it on twitch and then think they can review the game based on someone else's opinions.
    Wake up people!

Based purely on the ridiculous 45Gb update that you have to download to even start playing. Highspeed fiber is saying 8 hours to download. That wouldn't be so bad if you could at least start a single player campaign. A poor reflection on the developers if their initial release is poor that they force you to redownload the entire game.

The game got all choppy within the first 20 minutes of playing. I play lots of online games and never have an issue with lag like this. Also, this game would be way too difficult for a beginner to pick up. There is a lot to keep track of and the direction in game is not very clear in my opinion.

Should of gotten a lot more content if you're going to charge that much for a shooter DLC. This is why I'm moving away from shooter's and they've also banned some people for no reason. They might as well only stick to Assassin's Creed. And the part that sucks is you can't refund the stupid game if you played it as digital content on PS4 'cause Sony sucks with that. I'm never spending money on another shooter again unless it's by Rockstar or it's Star Wars.. The Division 2 is a game I simply cannot grasp. There is a decent amount of polish and sheen to this 3rd-person shooter with RPG elements, but from what I have experienced, it is all a veneer - beneath the surface, there is an offensively and egregiously bare-bones, milquetoast video game that feels mechanically similar to a free-to-play MMORPG than a compelling experience. And while there may be a phenomenal multiplayer experience here, I will admit that this is not the reason I picked up The Division 2. And without that reason, I feel no motivation to play this game at all.

Despite having stated that this game possesses RPG elements, that is likely a misnomer in hindsight. Little about the new guns or armour you acquire throughout the game feel impactful. While I certainly noticed when I had an underpowered weapon, I found it hard to feel like I had accomplished anything when I switched to a level-appropriate weapon. Perhaps this sounds overly subjective, but rather than feeling more powerful when I got better gear, I felt less powerful when I didn't. And that sucks.

Perhaps the most stunningly outrageous letdown about this game, beyond its lack of a feeling of achievement, was the unbelievably by-the-numbers story. It manages to find an astonishingly bland middle ground between vagueness and cliché that result in having zero narrative reason to persist throughout the game. I could not name a single character, let alone a single defining detail about this story, beyond this: "A virus has spread throughout America and caused anarchy, and now you are part of a paramilitary organization attempting to fight to protect people." While a narrative is not the only reason one picks up and plays a game, nor does a game need a compelling story to be excellent, this approach to the story felt stunningly barren.

The Division 2 represents what I see as a growing problem within the video games industry: An over-attentiveness to extremely incremental progression (in order to fuel microtransactions), and a pivoting away from uniqueness or artistry. While this game has undoubtedly satisfied some people, I am not one of those people. I picked this game up for a total of about 5 hours, then promptly ignored it until I realized the amount of hard drive space it was taking up on my PS4 - I then promptly deleted the game with almost zero regret. Whatever the angle is here, Ubisoft, I'm sorry - I don't get it.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has thrown its hat into the ring for being a possible 'Game of the Year' contender for 2019. The post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. is such an eerie site to see, and Agents can roam around solo or in groups to complete missions and earn better loot to upgrade their characters. With more content well on the way, the base game is still packed with heaps of stuff to do - and the huge variety in gear types and stat boosts, modifications, and skills means that 1000+ hours can easily be put into this title over the course of the year. The only bane to these sorts of titles is the 'always-online' internet connection that is required, which does remove some parts of the gaming population from being able to play it, unfortunately.

The Division 2 is easily the best of its type; it has the right balance of fun, challenge, dopamine loot drops, and sweet graphics that all but guarantee I’ll be playing this one for a long, long time to come.
