There are few games that immerse you this well. Last year, it was Red Dead Redemption 2. This year, it's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. This game nails tactical stealthy gunplay and I love it! A beautiful world to explore and the story is great also. Oh yeah... this blows Wildlands away! Absolute Must Buy!

I have put about 20 hours in and I feel that I'm ready to give my review now. The game is a broken, buggy mess. It's very repetitive and has RPG mechanics that are meaningless. The entire game seems to be designed around encouraging players to buy pay-to-win micro-transactions, of which there are more than I have ever seen in any game in my life. The game is beautiful, combat is diverse ranging from stealth sniping to some really intense gun fight moments when situation degrades! The story and the lore are pretty solid too. Character customization and progression will push you doing more exploration in a huge open world.
Ignore people who judge the game by the microtransactions store only (who cares? never even opened it...)

It's just a bad service game. Don't waste your money on this **** If you want to play Ghostrecon, get Ghostrecon Wildlands instead. Not a perfect game either, but still way better than this trash.

From painfully dumb AI to micro transactions, this game is painfully unbalanced and pay to win. You can but every strong weapon in the game from the start with actually money... poor attempt of a sequal

Immersion breaking game with the unneeded "Social hub". So, you're supposed to be "alone" with all your teammates either down or dead with no fire support, and then you walked into Erawhon, a Ghost Recon Disneyland. Here you can buy all kinds of wonderful weapons and vehicles and not to mention 50 other "ghosts" running around. Nope!

This is equivalent to collecting discarded pieces from other Ubisoft games and making them into new products, and I recommend getting them checked by a gamer before being inspected by Green Beret.

Too many bugs and ubisoft is testing their limits with MTX in this game, maybe worse than battlefront 2, wait for them to fix their game (bug and MTX wise) , or a huge price drop, maybe 20 dollars or 70 BRL (Brazillian Real)

Got this game as a birthday gift. Was quite excited to play it as i really enjoyed the ghost recon games on the xbox 360 back in the day. It's basically a microtransaction store first and a game second. And the game that is there is very buggy and broken. It reminds me of Assassins Creed Unity and Fallout 76 in terms of how broken it is. The A.I is probably some of the worst i've ever seen. Enemies just stand there and wait for you to shoot them. And when you shoot they will be alerted and acknowledge someone is shooting, yet just stand there like a prize lemon waiting to be shot. Or they will literally stand right in front of you and not see you. They float about in mid air, get stuck on objects, it really is bad. Vehicle handling is very poor, especially bikes, bikes are outright broken. An you're supposed to be like a hardcore special forces ghost yet when your stamina bar runs out you cannot even traverse small walls that are only a few feet in height, lol. They story is terrible and full of stupid things that simply wouldn't happen, and that breaks the immersion. You're suppsoed to be this lone special forces ghost stranded behind enemy lines and need to find back up. Yet right at the start of the game you end up in a camp with like 100 or so other special forces ghost soldiers just standing around dancing or doing silly emotes. It's like, well here's 100 other special forces ghosts in this camp, why can't they just help me? lol It serves no purpose other than to set up a hub for the many microtransactions within the game, and there are A LOT of microtransactions. The silly things that these so called hardcore best of the best special forces do within the cutscenes just simply wouldn't happen and is so so stupid to the point you will either find it laughable, annoying or both. It's very immersion breaking. The story is also very bland the plot is full of holes and the voice acting and dialouge is cringe. Its worse than a bad B Movie is what it is. Graphics are very average from a modern game. I remember the ghost recon games i played on the xbox 360 back in the day blew me away with how pretty they looked. But the same cannot be said about this game. Especially not after coming off playing red dead 2 and days gone. They make this game look pretty average. All in all this is one of the worst birthday presents i have ever been given. And up there as one of the worst games i've ever played. Although you can't really call it a game as such as its more a microtranaction store front than a game and the game is an afterthought. I haven't used the microtransactions as i despise them. They have no place in a full price game. But i guarantee you that the microtransaction store front works perfectly with zero bugs. Yet the game part is very broken and full of bugs. Expand

In real 7.9, but considering that some clowns judge that this game is worth 0 for a problem of money (surely they have never had a problem of time), therefore good game, and very good game of the kind. Cooperative Tactical TPS in the open world is successful and successful.

Level gameplay I strongly advise you to play Extreme (co-op only) because Ubi still greatly reduced the difficulty level "Normal and Difficult", and it even happens to spoil the immersion in the fight scene because take 30 balls on a breakpoint and not die but kill an enemy in 1 ball in the head is downright "cheat", if not as much play "The Division".
Ditto for the HUD I recommend removing the red zone announcing the enemies that will naturally force you to remain constantly vigilant.
PS bis: beware of Shootgun short distance !!! It's fatal.

It is therefore noted that in extreme the game is punitive but not frustrating, so for those who think that Ubisoft pushes to bought weapons, vehicle, etc., to successfully progress properly in the game, I think the problem does not really come not the level of the game but beautiful and well of your level of play.
So I can only recommend this game to anyone at least TPS enthusiast in a PVE universe, with a little more PvP.

Beware the game does not deserve purchase only for the aspect of PvP because in this case there are many other games to buy before (why not promo in some time, yes).

    XOXO

I just want to say first of all, I didn't purchase this game.

Like most people I have been looking forward to purchasing Ghost Recon Breakpoint for months only to discover through a recent vague tweet that it was online-only. Now that the game has been released for early access, I realise why this game was created as an online-only title. And that is to give Ubisoft the means to target people through the excessive microtransaction system that they have adopted for this game.

I have already contacted Ubisoft and told them to delete my uplay account, and any other accounts associated because of this issue. For many years I have purchased Ubisoft games, and have been very loyal as a consumer. Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Wildlands etc. But when I discovered that Ghost Recon Breakpoint was online-only, I decided to take a stand, and have made a personal vow to give no more custom to Ubisoft until their improper policies change. If we as gamers, do not draw this line in the sand right here and now, this problem will escalate to a point where the entire gaming industry will suffer significantly as a result.

Just stop and think about the many people who do not have an Internet connection. And also stop and think about all the people who are being financially exploited by these microtransactions. It is easy to say that people are not forced to use these microtransactions, yet there are many news stories of vulnerable people running up huge bills

In my opinion we do not need legislation against microtransactions. It would send out a more powerful message if we come together as gamers, and reject the use of microtransactions. WE can be the legislation. Not just gamers. But bloggers, YouTube gamers, reviewers, people in the industry. Let's advertise it everywhere. We can cripple microtransactions and these discrimatory online-only schemes through our own decisive actions. If everyone who has left a review here on Metacritic were to delete their uplay and Ubisoft accounts, it would change the dynamic of these corrupt practices in an instant.

And just from being proactive, taking immediate and decisive action, we would rid ourselves of the practices that we detest. It is one thing to complain, but it is so much more effective to take immediate action. This is not just Ubisoft, this applies to other developers and games too. So let's get the ball rolling. Let's create a wave of awareness to save our gaming industry, and let's take decisive action together so that we can ALL continue to enjoy the games we play whether that is online or offline, and without being financially exploited.

Let's tell Sony that if they are not transparent about how games are going to be sold on the PS5, that we are not going to invest in their console. As consumers we have had enough of guessing whether games will be online or offline, or whether we will be bombarded with these microtransactions. Let's take a stand not just for our own interests, but for the interests of others too. I would rather everyone be able to access and enjoy a game rather than just a select few.

The games as a service model does not benefit any of us. And by showing our absolute unwaivering unity, we can ensure that such practices are completely unworkable.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a vast universe, where the survival aspects have been strengthened from GR Widlands. If the game suffers from a perfectible AI and a clear feeling of "déjà-vu", it doesn’t take anything away from its effectiveness. It works well, especially in coop, while the PVP is viciously nervous. An imperfect title, but with great moments, and a huge potential if handled with care by Ubisoft in the coming months.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coincidentally living up to its name, being a failure and potential gravedigger for the famous franchise. Riddled with Pay-to-Win microtransactions tacked on looter shooter gameplay and pretty under average storytelling, even Jon Berenthal wasn’t enough to arise this gameplay up to some decent playable heights.
  3. 70
At its best, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a taut and tactical shooter that works brilliantly in co-op and is genuinely enjoyable to play but at its heart this is just another sandbox shooter and one that doesn't meet the technical standards we're used to from Ubisoft.
