    Got this game as a birthday gift. Was quite excited to play it as i really enjoyed the ghost recon games on the xbox 360 back in the day. But my excitement soon disappeared when i started to play. This sin't really a game. It's basically a microtransaction store first and a game second. And the game that is there is very buggy and broken. It reminds me of Assassins Creed Unity and FalloutGot this game as a birthday gift. Was quite excited to play it as i really enjoyed the ghost recon games on the xbox 360 back in the day. But my excitement soon disappeared when i started to play. This sin't really a game. It's basically a microtransaction store first and a game second. And the game that is there is very buggy and broken. It reminds me of Assassins Creed Unity and Fallout 76 in terms of how broken it is. The A.I is probably some of the worst i've ever seen. Enemies just stand there and wait for you to shoot them. And when you shoot they will be alerted and acknowledge someone is shooting, yet just stand there like a prize lemon waiting to be shot. Or they will literally stand right in front of you and not see you. They float about in mid air, get stuck on objects, it really is bad. Vehicle handling is very poor, especially bikes, bikes are outright broken. An you're supposed to be like a hardcore special forces ghost yet when your stamina bar runs out you cannot even traverse small walls that are only a few feet in height, lol. They story is terrible and full of stupid things that simply wouldn't happen, and that breaks the immersion. You're suppsoed to be this lone special forces ghost stranded behind enemy lines and need to find back up. Yet right at the start of the game you end up in a camp with like 100 or so other special forces ghost soldiers just standing around dancing or doing silly emotes. It's like, well here's 100 other special forces ghosts in this camp, why can't they just help me? lol It serves no purpose other than to set up a hub for the many microtransactions within the game, and there are A LOT of microtransactions. The silly things that these so called hardcore best of the best special forces do within the cutscenes just simply wouldn't happen and is so so stupid to the point you will either find it laughable, annoying or both. It's very immersion breaking. The story is also very bland the plot is full of holes and the voice acting and dialouge is cringe. Its worse than a bad B Movie is what it is. Graphics are very average from a modern game. I remember the ghost recon games i played on the xbox 360 back in the day blew me away with how pretty they looked. But the same cannot be said about this game. Especially not after coming off playing red dead 2 and days gone. They make this game look pretty average. All in all this is one of the worst birthday presents i have ever been given. And up there as one of the worst games i've ever played. Although you can't really call it a game as such as its more a microtranaction store front than a game and the game is an afterthought. I haven't used the microtransactions as i despise them. They have no place in a full price game. But i guarantee you that the microtransaction store front works perfectly with zero bugs. Yet the game part is very broken and full of bugs.… Expand

    Tons of bugs in the game, the subtitles must have been done by a child. Thank god EB Games in Australia lets you return games you don't like! I love the AI Squads in the last game and without it this sucks. Playing with people you don't know is a challenge and the game is near impossible alone. Utter rubbish, i think Ubisoft are off my list, its all just so repetitive, AC = boring andTons of bugs in the game, the subtitles must have been done by a child. Obviously they want you to buy the one year game pass to play the rest of the story mode. Ghost Recon Wildlands was the best. Usually when they have a great game and then a sucky one like GRBP they never well have another great game for Ghost Recon.     This game is complete **** just like their refund policy. The game was rushed and Ubisoft thinks its OK to slap a 60 dollar charge for this garbage game and allow refunds the day the game as been released.

    I paid for the gold edition, and yet, they want to sell me every gun in the game, i already paid for them and these guys have the nerve to charge again, add to that the requirement of online only, which makes no sense nor serves any purpose in a ghost recon game other than monetize it, they ruined the game and their reputation with their greed

    More broken than people realize, the amount of bugs...some of them serious is astounding and it was clear this game was not ready for launch. Some of the bugs and issues which was discovered closed beta was never addressed, Drone/Night Vision and enemy tagging often bugs and becomes unusable, daily escort/rescue missions often have no end-point so you cannot finish them and the server often crashes causing lost progress.

    Weak story, Ghost War doesn't make any sense with the narrative story and typical par Ubi-Soft for collectables, hidden areas and outpost grinding etc~ basically quite similar to wildlands just more annoying to travel around. Many areas feel empty and lifeless which unfortunately doesn't help, wildlands open world had a living, breathing feeling with NPCs and vehicles driving where as Breakpoint feels lifeless.

    One of the very biggest issues is the sheer amount of recycled content, you have a giant island with 1000s of locations to discover...yet its just really about 10 or 20 or so locations just re-used over and over again, same with the enemies...there is about 7 or 8 different enemies and that is pretty much it for the entire game, not including unique story related bosses of course so basically after a few hours of playing, you literally have seen most of the game has to offer...same content, just in a different location.

    Drone combat is also a joke, murmurs are perhaps the most annoying enemy in the history of gaming. They are fairly harmless to your character but utterly destroy vehicles like helicopters, and you pretty much need a 3rd party aimbot to destroy them because once agitated they move extremely fast in an unpredictable pattern for 10 or so seconds before stopping briefly, which is your window to shoot at them again before flying around again at mach 10.

    Gunplay is fine, almost a cut and paste of wildlands in that respect however, the AI seems to have been downgraded with pathing issues making enemies act in strange ways occasionally. Sound and gameplay are actually just average to be honest, they are not ground breaking but not bad either, most people could get some enjoyment from playing.

    Driving mechanics is actually WORST than wildlands, the helio controls are a joke - trying to aim is a chore as the control is super twitchy and takes alot of practice to compensate, generally driving is just comical sometimes.

    Now, addressing the elephant in the room. The atrocious MTX, seriously - this cannot be allowed to become the norm and a line in the sand needs to be drawn by the players and by regulating governments, not industry watchdogs who are directly in the pockets of the industry and literally do not support or protect the consumers at all, looking at you ESRB. Anyone supporting predatory microtransaction and loot boxes are the ones slowly destroying the gaming industry here, and need to be called out on it.

    MTX has no place in any AAA titles, the entire arguments about cosmetic only is even a one sided argument and even that shouldn't have any place in a full price title, let alone full on pay to win mechanics.

    Back in the mid 2000s when Free to Play MMos dominated, loot boxes, gambling and MTX was rife and the greed is what eventually led to the downfall of freemium MMos, look at that industry now - its DEAD, on life-support at best, the mobile gaming industry adopted many of those sinister business practices from freemium MMos and the birth of the cancerous IAP market was born, just look at the mobile gaming industry right now - its pure cancer and that has been slowly spreading to AAA industry over the past few years..

    We saw EA and Bethesda both try some fairly underhanded monetization tactics, as well as Rockstar heavily monetizating GTA online and as some of the blowback with controversial titles like Battlefront 2 are still fresh, Ubi-Soft which have been generally walking the tight-rope with monetization decides to one-up everyone by pretty much monetizating the entire game, heck the only thing I'm surprised at is they haven't monetized bullets/ammo yet....oh wait, they did in Far Cry 5 - this is a warning to Ubi-Soft, this is going to hurt your reputation significantly from here on out, any future products will be heavily scrutinized for similar business practices and I highly suggest you decide to ease way back on MTX for future releases.

    Also, Ubi-Softs TOS is pretty bad too, essentially you cannot get any refunds for ANY digital purchases on the uplay store > NO MATTER WHAT < whether you purchased a game and your having issues, or you pre-ordered a game and decide to cancel that pre-order.    … Expand

    After more than a month this game is still an awkward mess with a horrible atmosphere and story... a boring catastrophe. The breakpoint of the game-as-a-service ubisoft open world template. They should let it die, apologize to Tom Clancy fans and try to learn their lesson for the future. Dont waste your time and money on this.

    Utter **** don't buy this game until it's completely fixed. The game is full of bugs; AI sometimes behaves like a mule, but sometimes acts like a omniscient god; the progression system is not that interesting (you loot 20 different places but get the same items with better stats). Just don't buy it, its not worth it.

Bugs include not being able to interact with items , not being able to put up a drone , items don't drop, vehicle physics and animations are hilarious, don't even get started about bikes, PAY TO WIN! **** microtransaction, flawed animation syncing with animation, ridiculous character animation ... the listBugged to hell and back. Oddly enough the beta was more polished and ran better. I'm running a 9000k, gtx 1080ti. This is a very powerful system. I'm struggling to get over 60fps without making the game look awful. FFS, the trees re-render themselves when I zoom in with a weapon.

I would have considered myself a Tom Clancy game fanboy myself, but this is just too much. Terrible voice acting, terrible face animations, mobile game monitization tactics. Stay away! Save you $$$.

    I was excited when I first saw the trailer in E3 but once I played the beta I immediately canceled the pre-order. and this is the last time I’m gonna pre-order a **** game.

    This is a $60 access fee to an online and overpriced store. This is pay to save time which is ludicrous. Why would I want to play less if this is a good game let alone pay for it. My logic to Ubisoft's time savers is, I'll pay nothing to save all of my time.
    Oh yeah and for the game itself... it's uninspired. Feel completely empty and not in the Zelda BotW kinda way but rather the FO76 way.

    Ubisoft is the worst company out there by a long margin. At least EA and Activision might interact with their communities here and there about bugs and microtransaction issues...     First, due to it always having to be online, and the fact that the Ubisoft servers are AWFUL, it's basically unplayable. Even solo, you get kicked off the servers every 30 mins or so, booting you back to the title screen. You can thus forget and co-op or PVP. There's a bunch of nonsense on their website containing suggestions that don't work or involve calling your ISP. I'm not getting on the phone with Spectrum to make your garbage game work. That's not my job. It's your job to make a game that works and has stable servers--especially if it's always on line even when it doesn't need to be. (By the way, this isn't an issue for me with any other game, including other Ubisoft games. So stop it. Fix this crap)

    The second reason is the micro transaction, pay-to-win BS. I'm not even going to bother going back over that well trod ground. It's still there and it's indefensible. I'd read the game had been improved and got it on sale, thinking to give a shot to a game made by a publisher whose stuff I've generally really enjoyed. Very much regret it now.     Ignore the micro-transactions for a second. This game is typical, formulaic Ubisoft garbage. It's incredibly tedious. I'd rate it a 4 usually, but I'm going to balance out the fake 10 reviews and give it a 0.

    I remember the sheer joy of playing the first Ghost Recon on PS2 years ago. A game made from the heart for gamers. Now we have a piss poor attempt at making a game that seems more focused on exploiting people for monetary gain. Ubisoft now can join EA, Activision and Bethesda in games our family refuses to buy.

    Ubi says they listen to their fans but while they seem to take one step forward in one aspect, they take several steps back in others. No one asked for many of the things they introduced in GRB and in some cases, the community had even made jokes about it in the past (e.g. "drone wars").

    While GRW wasn't perfect, my friends and I loved it and we also liked their vision. However, I didn't like where they started taking that title with the release of GW, leveling weapons in Tier One or with their fantasy themed DLC. The writing was on the wall at that point that they had no intention of sticking with their original direction for GRW but at least we still had the core campaign that was unspoiled by GW or the other content if you didn't wish to play that.

    Read the reviews. Even many of the folks who say they like the game admit they don't like where they took the franchise with GRB. It's always a bit of a compromise with these games but this time there was nowhere near enough there for me to justify putting up with all the things I hate about it.    … Expand

You can literally sit from 200 meters away and kill one enemy at a time without any risk at all; it is just too easy, and the AI is just stupid. There are countless other examples, such as when the AI will bunch up at the base of a tower, and not advance in any intelligent way whatsoever. You'll quickly find this super boring and a waste of money after an hour or two. Lastly, the whole marketing campaign of being "hunted" and "behind enemy lines" is not true. The open world feels very empty and Ubisoft missed a golden opportunity to have "hunters" or "wolves" roaming the open world and engaging with you. Not here though. They also insinuate that the "wolves" are the elite soldiers, but they are quite weak, and quite underwhelming. If you feel very compelled to buy this game, I would strongly suggest that you wait at LEAST six months and try to buy the game on sale. We, as gamers, simply cannot support developers and publishers that launch a game in such a BAD state. Do not buy.… Expand

    Didn't even give this game an opportunity. I purchased it from gamestop saw that it was ONLINE ONLY! good thing I was able to get full credit back. The division series was the online experience not sure why they did this with ghost recon

    I was so pumped for this game, played the beta both closed and open, and then the game released and all the terrible pay 2 win mechanics came out, you can literally buy guns with real money, attachments, cars, xp boosts you name it you can buy it with real man.     Immersion breaking game with the unneeded "Social hub". So, you're supposed to be "alone" with all your teammates either down or dead with no fire support, and then you walked into Erawhon, a Ghost Recon Disneyland. Here you can buy all kinds of wonderful weapons and vehicles and not to mention 50 other "ghosts" running around. Nope!

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a vast universe, where the survival aspects have been strengthened from GR Widlands. If the game suffers from a perfectible AI and a clear feeling of "déjà-vu", it doesn’t take anything away from its effectiveness. It works well, especially in coop, while the PVP is viciously nervous. An imperfect title, but with great moments, and a huge potential if handled with care by Ubisoft in the coming months.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coincidentally living up to its name, being a failure and potential gravedigger for the famous franchise. Riddled with Pay-to-Win microtransactions tacked on looter shooter gameplay and pretty under average storytelling, even Jon Berenthal wasn’t enough to arise this gameplay up to some decent playable heights.

    At its best, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a taut and tactical shooter that works brilliantly in co-op and is genuinely enjoyable to play but at its heart this is just another sandbox shooter and one that doesn't meet the technical standards we're used to from Ubisoft.
