ENOUGH is ENOUGH. I love Rockstar games and apparently most of you do to. I do not see people complaining about them using the same engine, modelings, etc for GTA and Red dead and the rest of their games. So do us a favor and Shut up! stop trying to find in this era "innovation" when clearly it is not possible. ALL GAMES ARE REPETITIVE ALL GAMES, make you go from point A to point B and do something. ALSO some will make you grind which is ok.

    BREAKPOINT: Everything works, except the animations not truly fond of them. They have an issue with the rendering though cutscenes as well. The incorporation of the RPG elements, I personally (WHO HATE RPG's) have found it not that annoying. The AI reacts as expected, there are some "glitchy" dumb moments, but one of the BIGGEST changes which I like from Wildlands (or GTA for example as another shooter) is that when you shoot the enemies do not know your precise location if your weapons are silenced so it is interesting how they react and try to find you and engage against you (Wildlands had the same, but this time around I feel that it is more realistic, as you can see them spreading out trying to find you and guess exactly where you are it is until you shoot them repeated times with the silenced weapon that they all realize where you are precisely). It has been fun to see this develop. I hate games were you shoot from a silenced weapon and enemies magically know where you are and start shooting at your precise location. So this is very nice and improves the tactical feeling. SOUND is amazing, weapons sound great, the effects of explosions as well. Dialogue of NPCs could be largely improved as it becomes repetitive but who cares as all games are the same.
    PROGRESSION: Like some other reviewers have said on IGN, just play the game you do not need to spend real money to get higher loot. Just by exploring and engaging enemies you will find what you need. BUGS are present it depends, mine have been funny my friends have suffered some others and they have NOT ruined the experience. Hopefully they will get fixed.

    Overall it has been a fantastic experience I like many games specifically shooters and open world games, but I hate RPGs. So if you are like me you will enjoy this game even though the RPG factor is present it is not that annoying. You can still kill humans with 2 shots to the head if they are heavy and with one shot if they are regular Joe's.

    This game is fun. Reason for the 8 is because I do not like they incorporated RPG feeling to it should have kept it like Wildlands and because of the Interface which is complicated to understand and not that friendly.

    P.S. People hated Wildlands, yet months after people bought the game played it and continue to play it online. I met those people online and we have had lots of fun, it was an underrated game. I feel the same will happen with Breakpoint.    … Expand

    Constantly crashing do to online only requiring high bandwidth speed.
    The game looks good and has potential, but the fear of online piracy from Ubisoft has caused them to set up a system ultimately alienating paying players.

    I wonder if the users played this game before rate it.... Your only fault Ubisoft was not to pay the critics, that is the only reason why crappy games has 8+ and this game a 5. I totally love it
    Note: if you want to buy items you don't need to use actual money, just play and you will get the coins

    Only reason I give this game a 2 out of 10 is because the game is beautiful the from sunset and water absolutely beautiful! Other than that the core game and gear score and micro transactions... awful and just outright embarrassing for EA oh I mean Ubisoft!

    Well, first off most people are giving the game 0/10 because it has micro transactions which can utterly ruin the game experience of levelling up and exploring. However, if you have the ability to not purchase these things, which literally everyone does, then it shouldn’t affect your experience. As for gameplay, it’s pretty fun. If you enjoyed wildlands, you will enjoy playing this. That being said, if you don’t like Ubisoft games, their play style, etc. You won’t enjoy this. if you enjoyed Division and wildlands you will probably enjoy your time with breakpoint. It’s not groundbreaking, the story and writing are dodgy at best, but the gameplay is solid and I had a good Experience with my limited playtime.… Expand

    If you have played Wildlands and see what you now get in Breakpoint, it´s lust a pile of s***t.
    The world is just...empty, you have nothing to explore, the KI is stupid as hell and the bugs just hurt.
    And then that Shop... i just don´t have the right words for that, it´s a sad sad story you get with this game...

    I actually enjoy it! Played wildlands before and this builds upon it. Could use some improvements like adding A.I. squad, camera/zoom options and holstering your weapons. I like the gear rank system, reminds me of the division and borderlands( without the forced 1st person view). The microtransactions are not game breaking, it's just for cosmetics, weapons or time savers (PvE). So ignoreI actually enjoy it! Played wildlands before and this builds upon it.     First let me say that Iam a big Ghost Recon fan,its by far my favorite game,up until NOW.     Tons of bugs in this game and absolutely disgusting in-game shop. Microtransactions, time-savers, purchased gameplay stuff (not only cosmetics, but weapon, technique, weapon customisation) is enough to skip this game just not to feed money eager publisher companies.

    i was looking forward for months but now im really disappointed. the game is a service game now! its always online, its with colorful loot and microtransactions, its with bugs and awkward cutscenes... its no longer a tacticshooter. i loved wildlands but this is like you hit the fans in the face...

    Team play is excellent, shooting mechanics are excellent, versatility is there. Can feel a little clunky with the movement at times, but not bad considering third person open world.

The game itself does not know what it is, is it a realistic shooter? is it a looter shooter? is it an RPG? The developers tried to implement so many different elements into the game so that they could add allot of micro transactions.     Half-hearted game that makes a low-effort attempt at a Ghost Recon title. Save your money. Riddled with bugs, MTX and pay-to-win. Don't do what I did and get the ultimate edition, huge mistake. Wait for a deep, DEEP sale on this title...if it ever happens.

    The first 30 minutes of the game are the best it's going to get.

The game is full of bugs; AI sometimes behaves like a mule, but sometimes acts like a omniscient god; the progression system is not that interesting (you loot 20 different places but get the same items with better stats). Just don't buy it, its not worth it.

    I really loved Wildlands despite it not being perfect so i was looking forward to breakpoint, however this one is actually more a supermarket than a game. Ubisoft designed this game from the get go to maximize their profits by weaving microtransactions into every aspect of the game, selling for example but not limited to:

    - outfits - weapon blueprints - ingame money - vehicles -    I really loved Wildlands despite it not being perfect so i was looking forward to breakpoint, however this one is actually more a supermarket than a game. Ubisoft designed this game from the get go to maximize their profits by weaving microtransactions into every aspect of the game, selling for example but not limited to:

    - outfits
    - weapon blueprints
    - ingame money
    - vehicles
    - emotes
    - booster packs of all kinds like xp, battle pass progression and other advantages over 2nd class players who just bought the game and didn't pay extra
    - and of course regular DLCs, Season Passes and so on and on and on

    The List of items on the store is basically longer than the list of features offered by the game.

    Then there is the low quality , Especially bad are the animations, even when they don't just bug out the whole movement system just feels clunky. Sometimes the game just freezes requiring you to close it and sit through all those long tedious loading screens again. To me the whole thing feels more like an early beta than a finished product and usually i'm quite tolerant in that regard.

    They also removed helpful stuff from Wildlands like the squadmates ( i know they are supposed to return through an update at some unspecified date in the future but they aren't in now which is what counts if you want to play now). Sync shot got replaced by a useless consumable and as far as i can see there is no more faction support (like vehicle drop-offs or artillery bombardments). Driving feels as bad as always. The "social hub" is completely useless and utterly breaks the story immersion.

    Offline play is gone too, so if their cheap servers go down ( like they are currently ) you won't be able to play and have to write crappy reviews like this one. If you force always online, even when playing solo, then at least get your servers under control Ubisoft!

    The game world looks amazing, so thats +1 point. Soldier customization would have been great too if they would't have paywalled such a significant amount of the items right from day 1.    … Expand

    I understand and somewhat sympathize with the grievances made by other players here, particularly with the poor execution of the RPG/looter shooter mechanics. They don't really seem to fit the bill here, and it's painfully obvious they're only there to allow for the microtransactions (which I, and hope everyone else, will completely ignore).

    However, if you do ignore them, and try to    I understand and somewhat sympathize with the grievances made by other players here, particularly with the poor execution of the RPG/looter shooter mechanics. They don't really seem to fit the bill here, and it's painfully obvious they're only there to allow for the microtransactions (which I, and hope everyone else, will completely ignore).

    However, if you do ignore them, and try to play this game as a sort of poor man's Splinter Cell, I actually think there's a lot of fun to be had. Taking down an entire base without alerting anyone is still a good challenge (I recommend bumping up the difficulty a bit though) and the feeling of prowling through the very good looking scenery is pretty immersive.

    A lot of the map feels like wasted space though, with random two-man patrols just littered around to keep you entertained I suppose. It's not a great execution of an open world really, and so instead just simply playing through the story and going from waypoint to waypoint is probably how I recommend doing it, because actually trying to soak up what the world has to offer will leave you pretty empty-handed.

    Overall though, if you try to force yourself to play stealthily, ignore the botched levelling system, and try to follow along with the story a bit, I think there's a lot of hours of enjoyment to be had here.

    It's a shame though, because if the developers had just tightened this game up a bit, and actually tried to make it a more focused experience, rather than a hodge-podge of every type of game imaginable, I think it could have been a truly great game. Instead, it's fairly mediocre.    … Expand

    OK i see that the hate is real so lets start with some positives:
    + nice graphic
    + setting and story is ok b-level flick (aka your typical action game or movie) + jon bernthal voice acting + ok main character voice acting + enemies are far more interesting than boring junkie cartel goons in wildlands + badass kill/cqc animations + better world map + stable 30fps on ps4 pro with    OK i see that the hate is real so lets start with some positives:

    + somehow slightly better missions than in wildlands
    + ok gunplay and thank god no bullet eating enemies
    now the problems:
    - TERRIBLE POINTLESS microtransactions everywhere
    - always online bs (especially consider the fact that ubi severs are just bad joke)
    - as a SOLO player i feel like game is keep pushing me into online, coop, MP all the time
    - no AI companions yet (probably to force you into MP and so spend some money on micros)
    - annoying story/immersion breaking hub with other players running around
    - bad voice acting of many characters and also bad face animations
    - glitches, bugs, clipping and graphical issues everywhere
    - driving feels wrong

    damn ubisoft... you managed to get out of dirty swamp of downgrade issues just to fall into even worse swamp of shady microtransactions and constant online bs features    … Expand

    The entire progression of this game is based off microtransactions, or "time savers" if you will.


    Complete and utter rubbish. If someone gifts this to you, sell it immediately for 5$

    It's just not that fun. The UI is a mess, too many systems going on, the loot doesn't make much sense, survival element is half baked, no squad, you're supposed to be a ghost but the stealth is a joke. Of course everyone is aware of the mtx's.

    It is a great game with excelent graphics and gameplay. There is an improvement since Wildlands, the shooting is more realistic and the bullets have a higher speed. Also the interaction of the player with the terrain in activities such as climbing is great.

    First things first, DO NOT buy this game.

    Lemme explain. I spent about 350 hours on Wildlands. Story was ok, skirmishes were intense, great content overall. I spent 15 hours on Breakpoint, and I just uninstalled it. I spent 60 bucks for a game who isn't worthy of being called a beta-version. Cons: - Rigged with bugs. Over the 3 first hours playing, I spent about 10 minutes    First things first, DO NOT buy this game.

    Lemme explain. I spent about 350 hours on Wildlands. Story was ok, skirmishes were intense, great content overall.

    I spent 15 hours on Breakpoint, and I just uninstalled it.

    I spent 60 bucks for a game who isn't worthy of being called a beta-version.

    Cons:
    - Rigged with bugs. Over the 3 first hours playing, I spent about 10 minutes floating around, walking on air. Half of the time spent inside an helicopter, my character was floating ou of the vehicle.

    - Whenever I started to get pulled in the story, it was shut down by the EXCRUCIATING AMOUNT OF TIME NEEDED TO LEVEL UP. Oh wait what's that ? You can actually speed up the process with micro transactions ? Fondle these balls, Ubisoft.

    - The AI (and combat in general). In Wildlands, I liked to play with the heavy sniper, as you could just kill a few goons from far away, the rest of them would hide and sound the alarm. Now you've got like, interns goons, who will happily stand in place while you kill them from afar. I cleared most of the bases by dropping a few mines at the entrance and then just shooting at the ground in front of the entrance. Ai will pack up, run toward the noise, get killed by the mines, done.

    - The character design. Sony called, they want their PS2 graphics back. Most of characters look like they're made of plastic, and then got some massive face surgery. I haven't seen such blocky faces since Mass Effect: Andromeda.

    Overall, this is a complete failure. Story was written by a Michael Bay wannabe high on acid, and character design was made using MS Paint. Every element that made Wildlands fun has been taken away, even the hunt for good weapons has been reduced to "Oh, you want a good sniper ? Then spend ~5 hours grinding for it. Oh, you want the BEST sniper ? That'll be 15 bucks mate".

    Pros:
    - Gotta be honest, sound design is good. Great music, gun sounds are ok, this was nice.

    - The micro-transactions never fail. Really. Feels like Ubisoft assigned all decent developers on payment methods.

    TL;DR : Wait about a year, until they completely patch it up, and then wait for a deep sale. I wouldn't spend more than 12 bucks for this.    … Expand

All ppl going with sniper rifes! and if you would like play to pvp you MUST play in PVE! Worst thing what i ever seen! No classes! You can be sniper and going with ppm! And assault with sniper rifes?     It's a great game... Better than Wildlands and the storyline is way more interesting then the last one. Visuals are great, gameplay is smooth. Yes glitches appear on occasion, but nothing game breaking. HUGE improvement on the mechanics of the game. Love the upgrades and customizations. And the environment isn't cookie cutter like the Wildlands was. You can feel the distance whenIt's a great game... Better than Wildlands and the storyline is way more interesting then the last one.     Absolutely shameful, the store really does spoil the whole game. It's a real shame because the game runs well and it looks beautiful. Alot of work has gone into the game but too much work has gone into the storefront, because paying £100 isn't enough.

    I loved it. The game is great. It´s really realistic to play. I started with this saga from future soldier and to the point of breakage have been beauties!
    You have to find a way out of the island, but in the meantime they have a number of things to do inside the map,

    They didn't devliver the survival element correctly, the tactics are almost non-existent, the setting is not done right. Tom Clancy+Leveled gear+Weapons+social hub=not Ghost Recon.
    Bullet sponges with weakpoint in the form of Drones, to push this game even further into the RPG setting is not right. Any shot from a Carl Gustaff Recoiless Rifle should bring it down.
    The whole experience makes the game feel as a sorry excuse to further push this format that all Ubisoft games are turning into. Would be better if they were honest and said that they are making everything they produce a RPG-lite experience or pvp focused.
    Here's one idea: give the franchise to Projekt Red, at least they would make it a better RPG experience and not make the whole of the gaming community rage over the microtransactions that seems to be the core of the game.    … Expand

    For me would be easly an 8, i will go for 10 because i hate see that Zero from people that doesn't even buyed it, just to follow some **** youtuber with ClickBait videos.

    If u liked wildlands this is a step up, if u think mobs are to easy, play on highest difficulty like me. u still 1shot them, but u also get 1 shotted if they spot u.. Sounds fair to me.
    Theyre u bunch of sites where u can find the locations of the guns etc (that u can buy with real money) so if u dont wanne w8 and search for em, go to a site like that and go grab them for free (same with attachment etc)

    Graghic wise: AWSOME, got an gtx 2080 and its shines. If u have less, i asume it will still be nice but its not game breaking bad becaus ppls pc cant handle it (yes i did see ppl complain theyre o.O)

    Videos ingame, yes can be better considering its 2019 and the game costs 60€ but if everything else is decent or good i dont rly care if that video crap aint working right. Its only for the main quest anyway.

    I see alot of reviews ppl talking bout the fact that if you are 100m away and you kill a npc, npcs around them dont rly see you (considering u are only 100m away). ITS A GAME... if u would shoot from 1.5km or more (longest kill was 3.6km) you have the same reaction. but then then ingame map would have to be the world itself. If you use your head for a second you'll start agreeing that games just have to work like that...

    My points: 8/10. Its decent maybe not €60 worth but then again was game is? If u liked wildlands and u can play COOP with friends, the game is the best choice for you (and friends)
    It has bugs, but considering its just released i dont rly mind that much (they arent game breaking)

    Keep in mind: IF U DONT WANNE PAY €60, U CAN TAKE UPLAY+ (€15/month) and try it out. thats what i did. if you dont like it, cancel uplay+ and u lost €15 (better then loosing €60), if u do like it. its almost newyear, so DEALS etc, w8 for one, and use 200ubi points for an extra -20% and u can buy it for €30-€40.. maybe even less

    This game is a micro-transaction hell. It is literally a pay to win. I can accept that in a free to play, not in a game I bought 60$. On top of that the story feels so bland, and incorporating Jon Bernthal in the game won't change that.

    They took everything that was great with Wildlands and replaced it with everything tedious about the division. What place does gear score have in a tactical shooter? Why do we need a hub, crafting, and god awful microtransactions. They realized that Wildlands was a success and wanted to make sure with this release it was monetized as much as possible.

The world is large and gorgeous but boring and empty, can't go more than 100m before finding enemies standing out in the middle of nowhere with hostages.

    Overall this game is garbage, ubisoft have not listened to it's CORE community and taken this franchise in the wrong direction to focus on monetisation. DISSAPOINTING The game is full of bugs and glitches    … Expand

No wonder devs did not care about filling open world with any meaningful activities - you are not meant to traverse whole world but instead meant to pay more money to skip intentionally boring lazily copy-pasted grind locations.

    Summary - you will lose nothing if you just skip this one, unless you are some kind of casual whale who dont mind spending a low of cash on a buggy mess just to complete it asap and move on to something more interesting and polished. This game may be worth checking again in 6-12 months when most bugs will be finally fixed and price will drop to 15-20 USD, but is no not really worth a cent more than that    … Expand

    Weapons feel good, but since the game acts like its a looter shooter that doesn't matter. You will switch weapons out constantly. The devs also haven't figured out how to make cars and helicopters that feel realistic and control well, which amazes me, considering GTA 5 figured that out in 2013.
    But at least its "fun with friends", but to be fair, everything can be fun with friends. A old and broken football can be fun with friends. Doesn't make the game good.

    Oh, also, you cant play the game without an internet connection. AT ALL. Even tho you can play the game SP, great right?

    Gameplay and story are hit and miss
    RPG elements are useless and has no point there other than sell microtransactions
    and oh boy the microtransactions
    are so bad at this game one of the worst i have seen. Just skip this game and teach ubisoft
    that we won’t take this bull****. Jon Bernthal is awesome tho but script does not give him much to work with

    I like the visual part of the game, but I'm really disappointed with the gameplay and execution of tactical and survival aspects of the Breakpoint. Gunplay is really good, but gear score is non-sense in a tactical shooter and stamina is really intrusive as you can not cross even really small obstacles after it is depleted. Soldier animations are terrible, they do not feel natural, but veryI like the visual part of the game, but I'm really disappointed with the gameplay and execution of tactical and survival aspects of the Breakpoint.     Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a vast universe, where the survival aspects have been strengthened from GR Widlands. If the game suffers from a perfectible AI and a clear feeling of "déjà-vu", it doesn’t take anything away from its effectiveness. It works well, especially in coop, while the PVP is viciously nervous. An imperfect title, but with great moments, and a huge potential if handled with care by Ubisoft in the coming months.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coincidentally living up to its name, being a failure and potential gravedigger for the famous franchise. Riddled with Pay-to-Win microtransactions tacked on looter shooter gameplay and pretty under average storytelling, even Jon Berenthal wasn’t enough to arise this gameplay up to some decent playable heights.

    At its best, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a taut and tactical shooter that works brilliantly in co-op and is genuinely enjoyable to play but at its heart this is just another sandbox shooter and one that doesn't meet the technical standards we're used to from Ubisoft.
