    The March 2020 update has finally taken away the loot system. Still to fix the terrible menu structure, it's a mess on console, clearly made for a PC mouse, not a controller. The world graphics are sadly poor. Wildlands Bolivia was so rich in detail and "alive". Feels like the made the game with no love.

These same people will buy the new Call Of Duty and buy microtransactions. They are just stupid. Thanks to them, the quality of 90% AAA titles is non existant.     Zero innovation - after hours playing the system of game and core appears to be broken. Worst game-play on the vehicles, weapon's system broken - some snipers had more range than usual and damage of waepons are the worst ever, repetitive and pay to win system broke the pvp.

    Didn't even give this game an opportunity. I purchased it from gamestop saw that it was ONLINE ONLY! good thing I was able to get full credit back. The division series was the online experience not sure why they did this with ghost recon

    A game riddled with copy-paste mechanics, little to NO polish at all and broken completely. This game is built as a Microtransaction hub, selling you 'Time Savers' to bypass the gameplay and cranked-up grind they put in. If they are selling you ways to skip the gameplay, then it isn't a good or fun game. Not worth your money. Ubisoft has made it clear this game isn't worth buying, playing,A game riddled with copy-paste mechanics, little to NO polish at all and broken completely. But here I wanted to give Ubisoft 1 more chance, especially since Ghost Recon is one of my favourite titles. Contrary to all reviews I ordered it in advance (yes I know...). After 3 days playing time I had to stop. Too many bugs, too boring and this unbelievable impudence to exploit the community, because of which one exists at all so disgusts me. How can a game be released in such a state? Fortunately, there are enough other titles and developers that deserve my attention and most of all my money more. Bye Ubisoft… Expand

    SO many Bugs, no AI teammates, servers down for hours upon release, always online, etc... this game had such promise and has delivered on none of it. Good graphics though

    I've been a Ghost Recon fan since the beginning... Same with Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell... For a time these "Tom Clancy" games used to be the best of the best as far as hardcore modern military action. But UbiSoft has, seemingly deliberately, destroyed these once great franchises. They have done it methodically, intentionally, and with malice. First they started farming out theirI've been a Ghost Recon fan since the beginning... Same with Rainbow 6 and Splinter Cell... For a time these "Tom Clancy" games used to be the best of the best as far as hardcore modern military action. But UbiSoft has, seemingly deliberately, destroyed these once great franchises. They have done it methodically, intentionally, and with malice. First they started farming out their development and storylines to foreign studios. Then they allowed those foreign developers to destroy their brands and IPs, such as Sam Fisher, and then making story lines that are actually insulting to their core target audience. All the sudden it was the old white American men that became the terrorists and the heroes became laughable failures. Now in GR BreakPoint they've come full circle and the bad guys are, get this, prior Ghost Recon soldiers. That's insulting to the consumer and the fan base. And this was revealed in the first 3 minutes of terrible gameplay. But this is what UbiSoft does. They insult us and laugh in our face. They are a terrible European company and their culture is represented in the terrible basic gameplay of the game. Within 10 mins I was literally looking for a way to get a refund on the play station store but of course there isn't one. It feels like a PS2 game. Controls are clunky, camera is terrible, AI is horrible, of course the graphics are sub par. Cut scenes are terrible. I should have came to Metacritic first and saved myself the money. I want to make something clear. It's not just the SJW progressive politics that ruin this game. It's the the basic fundamentals of gameplay in which it fails. In all categories it fails. Then I got to the second cut scene where it's revealed that a Ghost Recon soldier is one of the main bad guys.... Terrible. That's when I put the controller down and decided to take a breath and consider that yes, this is actually a **** game. Sometimes we want games to be good so we lie to ourselves until something just slaps us in the face. Even the little things are wrong and messed up. For instance in the first minute of gameplay you pick up a "416" rifle that takes 5.56 rounds LOL. For those of you that don't know, a 416 takes .416 caliber rounds LOL. Its like no one even QC'd this game or they just didn't care. And this is supposed to be mil sim Tom Clancy **** LOL. Tom Clancy would never approve of this horse ****.

    I've never rated a game on Metacritic but this experience has been so terrible that I signed up and rated this game a zero and wrote this long ass review because that's how bad this game made me feel. I quit after 10 minutes... My review doesn't even reflect the points of other reviewers such as always online and the microtransactions. I'm sure there are many other flaws that I spared myself from by quitting after 10 minutes of gameplay.

    They added some neat features, but completely broke huge portions of the game from Wildlands. I can't believe I paid full price for a game that barely qualifies as a beta build.

    Had a lot of fun with Wildlands so I had hopeful expectations and I was saddle let down. What's with the scrolling left to right 1st person view. Could you find a worse way to play a game. No option for 3rd person like Wildlands was. Very tedious and repeating the senstuff over and over.

    This game is a micro-transaction hell. It is literally a pay to win. I can accept that in a free to play, not in a game I bought 60$. On top of that the story feels so bland, and incorporating Jon Bernthal in the game won't change that.

    If you have played Wildlands and see what you now get in Breakpoint, it´s lust a pile of s***t.
    The world is just...empty, you have nothing to explore, the KI is stupid as hell and the bugs just hurt.
    And then that Shop... i just don´t have the right words for that, it´s a sad sad story you get with this game...

But the game was converted into something that is not one title, but an amalgamation of various elements from the parent company's many franchises. if thinking critically, this can be said of the previous iteration, Wildlands.

    They didn't devliver the survival element correctly, the tactics are almost non-existent, the setting is not done right. Tom Clancy+Leveled gear+Weapons+social hub=not Ghost Recon.
    Bullet sponges with weakpoint in the form of Drones, to push this game even further into the RPG setting is not right. Any shot from a Carl Gustaff Recoiless Rifle should bring it down.
    The whole experience makes the game feel as a sorry excuse to further push this format that all Ubisoft games are turning into. Would be better if they were honest and said that they are making everything they produce a RPG-lite experience or pvp focused.
    Here's one idea: give the franchise to Projekt Red, at least they would make it a better RPG experience and not make the whole of the gaming community rage over the microtransactions that seems to be the core of the game.    … Expand

    Jon bernthal is great as you'd expect but the rest of the voice lines from random enemies and dialog from cutscenes are laughable as are facial expressions. The world is large and gorgeous but boring and empty, can't go more than 100m before finding enemies standing out in the middle of nowhere with hostages.

    Overall this game is garbage, ubisoft have not listened to it's CORE community and taken this franchise in the wrong direction to focus on monetisation. DISSAPOINTING The game is full of bugs and glitches    … Expand

    They took everything that was great with Wildlands and replaced it with everything tedious about the division. What place does gear score have in a tactical shooter? Why do we need a hub, crafting, and god awful microtransactions. They realized that Wildlands was a success and wanted to make sure with this release it was monetized as much as possible.

    Half-hearted game that makes a low-effort attempt at a Ghost Recon title. Save your money. Riddled with bugs, MTX and pay-to-win. Don't do what I did and get the ultimate edition, huge mistake. Wait for a deep, DEEP sale on this title...if it ever happens.

    The first 30 minutes of the game are the best it's going to get.

    i was looking forward for months but now im really disappointed. the game is a service game now! its always online, its with colorful loot and microtransactions, its with bugs and awkward cutscenes... its no longer a tacticshooter. i loved wildlands but this is like you hit the fans in the face...

    Tons of bugs in this game and absolutely disgusting in-game shop. Microtransactions, time-savers, purchased gameplay stuff (not only cosmetics, but weapon, technique, weapon customisation) is enough to skip this game just not to feed money eager publisher companies.

Ubisoft designed this game from the get go to maximize their profits by weaving microtransactions into every aspect of the game, selling for example but not limited to:

    - emotes
    - booster packs of all kinds like xp, battle pass progression and other advantages over 2nd class players who just bought the game and didn't pay extra
    - and of course regular DLCs, Season Passes and so on and on and on

    The List of items on the store is basically longer than the list of features offered by the game.

    Then there is the low quality , Especially bad are the animations, even when they don't just bug out the whole movement system just feels clunky. Sometimes the game just freezes requiring you to close it and sit through all those long tedious loading screens again. To me the whole thing feels more like an early beta than a finished product and usually i'm quite tolerant in that regard.

    They also removed helpful stuff from Wildlands like the squadmates ( i know they are supposed to return through an update at some unspecified date in the future but they aren't in now which is what counts if you want to play now). Sync shot got replaced by a useless consumable and as far as i can see there is no more faction support (like vehicle drop-offs or artillery bombardments). Driving feels as bad as always. The "social hub" is completely useless and utterly breaks the story immersion.

    Offline play is gone too, so if their cheap servers go down ( like they are currently ) you won't be able to play and have to write crappy reviews like this one. If you force always online, even when playing solo, then at least get your servers under control Ubisoft!

    The game world looks amazing, so thats +1 point. Soldier customization would have been great too if they would't have paywalled such a significant amount of the items right from day 1.    … Expand

    Absolutely shameful, the store really does spoil the whole game. It's a real shame because the game runs well and it looks beautiful. Alot of work has gone into the game but too much work has gone into the storefront, because paying £100 isn't enough.

    The game looks good and has potential, but the fear of online piracy from Ubisoft has caused them to set up a system ultimately alienating paying players.

    Change my mind.

    By the way, I got bored with its open beta version and Wildlands and The Division 1 and 2 better than it anyway.

    Only reason I give this game a 2 out of 10 is because the game is beautiful the from sunset and water absolutely beautiful! Other than that the core game and gear score and micro transactions... awful and just outright embarrassing for EA oh I mean Ubisoft!

    I was so pumped for this game, played the beta both closed and open, and then the game released and all the terrible pay 2 win mechanics came out, you can literally buy guns with real money, attachments, cars, xp boosts you name it you can buy it with real man. Not gonna support a game like this. Disappointed Ubisoft

    Lemme explain. I spent about 350 hours on Wildlands. Story was ok, skirmishes were intense, great content overall. I spent 15 hours on Breakpoint, and I just uninstalled it. I spent 60 bucks for a game who isn't worthy of being called a beta-version. Cons: - Rigged with bugs. Over the 3 first hours playing, I spent about 10 minutes    First things first, DO NOT buy this game.

    I spent 15 hours on Breakpoint, and I just uninstalled it.

    I spent 60 bucks for a game who isn't worthy of being called a beta-version.

    Cons:
    - Rigged with bugs. Over the 3 first hours playing, I spent about 10 minutes floating around, walking on air. Half of the time spent inside an helicopter, my character was floating ou of the vehicle.

    - Whenever I started to get pulled in the story, it was shut down by the EXCRUCIATING AMOUNT OF TIME NEEDED TO LEVEL UP. Oh wait what's that ? You can actually speed up the process with micro transactions ? Fondle these balls, Ubisoft.

    - The AI (and combat in general). In Wildlands, I liked to play with the heavy sniper, as you could just kill a few goons from far away, the rest of them would hide and sound the alarm. Now you've got like, interns goons, who will happily stand in place while you kill them from afar. I cleared most of the bases by dropping a few mines at the entrance and then just shooting at the ground in front of the entrance. Ai will pack up, run toward the noise, get killed by the mines, done.

    - The character design. Sony called, they want their PS2 graphics back. Most of characters look like they're made of plastic, and then got some massive face surgery. I haven't seen such blocky faces since Mass Effect: Andromeda.

    Overall, this is a complete failure. Story was written by a Michael Bay wannabe high on acid, and character design was made using MS Paint. Every element that made Wildlands fun has been taken away, even the hunt for good weapons has been reduced to "Oh, you want a good sniper ? Then spend ~5 hours grinding for it. Oh, you want the BEST sniper ? That'll be 15 bucks mate".

    Pros:
    - Gotta be honest, sound design is good. Great music, gun sounds are ok, this was nice.

    - The micro-transactions never fail. Really. Feels like Ubisoft assigned all decent developers on payment methods.

    TL;DR : Wait about a year, until they completely patch it up, and then wait for a deep sale. I wouldn't spend more than 12 bucks for this.    … Expand

    It's just not that fun. The UI is a mess, too many systems going on, the loot doesn't make much sense, survival element is half baked, no squad, you're supposed to be a ghost but the stealth is a joke. Of course everyone is aware of the mtx's.

    Utter **** don't buy this game until it's completely fixed. The game is full of bugs; AI sometimes behaves like a mule, but sometimes acts like a omniscient god; the progression system is not that interesting (you loot 20 different places but get the same items with better stats). Just don't buy it, its not worth it.

    Trust me, Microtransactions aside this game has the most stupid AI in this generation, not only that but the animations feels like a game from 2002.

    I was excited when I first saw the trailer in E3 but once I played the beta I immediately canceled the pre-order. and this is the last time I’m gonna pre-order a **** game.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a vast universe, where the survival aspects have been strengthened from GR Widlands. If the game suffers from a perfectible AI and a clear feeling of "déjà-vu", it doesn’t take anything away from its effectiveness. It works well, especially in coop, while the PVP is viciously nervous. An imperfect title, but with great moments, and a huge potential if handled with care by Ubisoft in the coming months.

    Ghost Recon Breakpoint is coincidentally living up to its name, being a failure and potential gravedigger for the famous franchise. Riddled with Pay-to-Win microtransactions tacked on looter shooter gameplay and pretty under average storytelling, even Jon Berenthal wasn’t enough to arise this gameplay up to some decent playable heights.

    At its best, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a taut and tactical shooter that works brilliantly in co-op and is genuinely enjoyable to play but at its heart this is just another sandbox shooter and one that doesn't meet the technical standards we're used to from Ubisoft.
