I gave this the highest score that was still in the red. This game had the potential of being an 8 or even a 9 but the amount of glitches and annoyances not only make this a lower rated game, but it makes it avoidable.
I LOVE top down or twin stick shooters. When I fist downloaded I was in love...but then reality set in.

I LOVE top down or twin stick shooters. When I fist downloaded I was in love...but then reality set in.

The first thing to annoy me was that the play fields only let you go in very specific places, so once you took out some bad guys or collected something, you couldn't just go to your next objective. You literally have to backtrack at a snail's pace to get to your next position.

Next...several times I got stuck on the map. DO NOT go near an edge or border as a glitch will keep you there and you will have to abort and restart. Also, there is a very specific way that your characters move together. If one of them gets stuck behind an object (especially trees), the others will get stuck as if they are all glued together.

The straw that broke the camel's back that made me delete this from my console was one of the missions where the objective was to shoot from a moving tank and all you have to do is survive. There is a secondary objective where you can kill all the infantry.....but its not really secondary. At intersections, if you do not kill all the infantry, your tank will not proceed. And then, son-of-a-gun, some of those infantry are out of range. So after 10 minutes of trying to shoot them (because they won't move) and realizing that your tank wont move because he is still alive, I was forced to abort. Repeat the same thing 3 or 4 more times.

Lastly, before going into missions, you have the option of "hiring" an extra person (specialist) for that mission. It is very helpful and a nice thing to have if you need it. Unfortunately, after about 20% of the missions, the button becomes "grayed" out and you can't use it anymore. No explanations. No help online as to why this happens...even when you restart the game.

Honestly...I am convinced with 100% certainty that Wired Productions NEVER play-tested this game. So much potential and so poorly executed that I will purposely avoid anyhting ever made by Wired Productions and strongly urge you to do the same.

Fun for a while but gets repetitive and boring after a while. Better to get this game on iOS as it's free and made for a touchscreen device. The game does have a cute appeal to it however.

The idea of the game is interesting, which cannot be said about the implementation. Frequent bugs with characters getting stuck on the map due to which you have to start the mission anew, which ruined the whole experience of the game.

It can be a fun diversion but lacks that “just one more level” sense of attraction.

In the end, Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops is a fine twin-stick shooter that's best enjoyed in short bursts.

A good value for a pair of successful mobile games that come to PlayStation in their most complete form.
