Timespinner is good callback to the 90s and games that inspired it. It has some solid combat, decent exploration, and a great soundtrack. The story and side quests are a bit dull, and the time mechanic never delivers on its potential, but it’s still an enjoyable adventure overall.

Beautiful, simply beautiful artwork that will leave you wanting more. It had length, a nice storyline, inspiring characters, unique bosses, and an excellent trove of abilities and passive abilities. I am a sucker for level up rpgs myself. One minor downfall was that, in my opinion, it was not as challenging as I had hoped. Wonderful job Lunar Ray Games! A real treat! Full Review »

All the more frustrating, with all those crowdfunded scams roaming around, that at some point one has to ask 'Where is the rest of the game ?' What's the point upgrading the orbs to 999.. I mean everything is there. A SOTN lite, but everything is at the bare minimum. A tiny map, some time travel, a good story, a handful of quests, a handful of secrets, a handful of equipment. A LOT of orbs (weapons) that can be grinded to insane damage for no reason. Gimme two or three passive slots then instead of one, it wouldve made the game more enjoyable for the same insane overpower. So anyway, in the end it's the same range of crowdfunded indie allplatforms scams, with the bare minimum promised. Except the game is good. Just 1/10 of what it should be to compete with sotn Full Review »

Timespinner is still somewhat unique from anything I’ve played previously. Your character is a female protagonist sent through time as a messenger to warn against the empire’s impending attack. You have the ability to freeze time for short intervals helping you to navigate through the game by jumping off of enemies or freezing moving obstacles in place. I actually really like the orbs you equip as your weapons & there’s a time traveling aspect as well. You can even take a little pet of your choosing along with you for the ride. The protagonist gets stronger and stronger as you progress and you’ll be able to revisit previously unreachable areas. I was surprised by how much fun I was having with this simple game inspired by old 16-bit classics. The musical score is pretty good and I have no complaints regarding the controls at all.
