Overall, Murder on Eridanos is a solid addition to The Outer Worlds. Players are in charge of solving a murder and piecing together clues, making it an interesting and fun time. The real issue at this point is the well-documented technical difficulties that have plagued players since the DLC’s release. Hopefully, a patch will be released to fix them soon, along with the other errors that have been pointed out.

Fights, loot and visuals are solid. But Obsidian serves up a really nice whodunnit with Cluedo-flair.

Murder on Eridanos is a fine send off to The Outer Worlds, giving players an opportunity to flex all their detective muscles in solving one final murder mystery. The writing and humor are able to maintain the high standard that was set by the core game, and even though the combat has been reduced to simply going through the motions at this point, the storytelling is able to make this a memorable experience. Eriadnos itself is a vibrant world to explore filled with its own culture and interesting inhabitants. Murder on Eridanos is a darkly humorous nod to film noir while staying true to the feel of The Outer Worlds, making it a worthwhile final addition to the game.

Better than Peril on Gorgon and has more story, but it doesn't feel like your investigation matters. Nice premise, poor execution. These DLCsBetter than Peril on Gorgon and has more story, but it doesn't feel like your investigation matters. Nice premise, poor execution. These DLCs are also coming out very, very late from the core game, so it's hard to get back into the swing of TOW (as well as having to backtrack to play the DLC). Full Review »

I didn't care for this DLC, with the over-the-top story, silly writing and the floating-islands-in-the-sky world so often done before.

Lastly Soft-locking players who saved over the Tartarus save is very annoying because they can not go back and start the DLC's. Full Review »
