    While playing this game I was hooked by the story, it is a well written story, with it moments that seem forced, I'm all for diversity in a game, as long as it's done well, and having Abbie to become the playable character in the se one half was a bad move, as her character wasn't the best written, and the way they ruined everything TLU1 established hurt me as a fan, having Joel die and then ellie but it just was too over the top and the sex scenes were not needed at all.


    For the gameplay it's simple too simple with slight improvements from the first a game doesn't have to be complex in its gameplay but it has to be done well, and the simple controls get repetitive too quickly which just left me getting bored.

    The Last of Us 2 was probably the most disappointing game I've ever played to this day. The gameplay and graphics are really good but you have to understand this is a sequel, not a new IP. The story of this game is absolutely disgusting and stupid which disrespects the previous game in so many ways. I'm definitely going to return the game and I really can't recommend it to anyone.

    SGW ruined this game. Its make just for Nill Druckmunn and his friends, not for PLAYERS. Awful story, politics infusion in game, new characters is very bad. Gameplay from 2013. Only graphics is pretty good. But main part of this game is STORY and it was ruined by LGBT community. 20 hours - and it is a full game?

    Joel didn't deserve to die. His character acts out of proportion in Neil's wish to get him killed. Too few Joel scenes and most of them shows his tension with Ellie. The first guitar scene and the museum flashbacks are the only meaningful art of this game. The rest are out of proportion and twisted to fit Neil's agenda.     Gameplay-wise, it's very appealing. World building is top notch and the exploration part is painstakingly fine-tuned. Kudos to the team for creating such a commited landscapes and setting. But the story is crap, with a nihilistic ending leaving a hole in your chest and a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. I had to play the first game and currently am reading meaningful, story-centered fanfics after finishing it all just to cleanse this **** out of my system.

    New infected Shambler and Point Zero Crap blows off the realistic overview of the fungal infection. Cordyceps fungi has immunosuppression properties which allows it to bypass lung defenses, passes into the blood stream, into the CSF, and finally to the amygala and limbic system. When the fungi infects human amygdala it stimulates aggression and overrides conscious control the body, reverting the evolution of a sensible human mind back into one akin of a beast.

    So far, the four stages of infected are realistic with their behavior displaying apex predator. The Shambler and the new infected shatters the realistic background of infected firmly established by TLOU1. Such a poor decision to weave Resident Evil's monstrosity just for shock value.

    The tone of this game is very grim. I'd recommend for players who are currently having a hard time with their mental health to hold off playing this for a while. I was leaked about that early scene when I was studying for a test. I didn't flunk it but I could've achieved more. Anyway, I made peace with it and now am looking forward to new fanfictions that'd surely overcome Neil's horrendous writing.    … Expand

    I feel like I was betrayed and stabbed in the back. I cringed in the start, I am half way through the game and still cringing. Each step feels like the knife is being twisted and dugs deep in my heart. The environmental looks good but the pain does not stop. I feel nauseous.

I can understand why joel is die, but you should be show respect who saves abby's life. She does not mention about it who takes risk to save unknown person. Even he is enemy. Kill with one bullets his head. Then we can understand abby's situation or something. But naughtydog is using anger for joel's terrible death. So player can consentrate playibg revenge for joel's death. It is very simple and easy way to concentrate player's attention. I'm sad to see this franchise ruined in the name of social justice without any thought paid to what made the first game so engrossing.

While that's not exactly a bad thing since the first game had fun gameplay, it shows Naughty Dog's lack of initiative to innovate or try to make things more interesting and fun.

    Scenario-wise, it's a complete joke. I understand some of the appeal they were going for, but the execution was pathetic and fell flat almost the entire time, especially in the second half. There was also pointless pandering with the addition of a completely unneeded sex scene that did not serve to enhance or move the narrative forward in ANY imaginable way. I guess Naughty Dog took a page out of David Cage's book here, and it really shows... badly.    … Expand

    obviously it´s not a 0/10 but it´s not perfect either.
    The story makes little sense. We as a player don´t even get the option to have an individual impact. A whole revenge plot that won´t let you decide if you want to take revenge in the end or not.
    If this were to be a movie or a tv show it would be fine I guess. The gameplay is basically the same, though map design changed in a good way.
    Additionally, I like the accessibility features.
    All in all, I would give this game a 7/10. This, however, is the rating I would give using some unbalanced rating scale like IGN´s, where a 5 means absolute garbage like Fallout 76.

    This game is deeply transphobic. It features an overly masculine/mannish "hon" trans woman who gets lynched, and later brutally beats down and violently assaults and murders a lesbian couple. That is insanely **** up and horribly bigoted and transphobic. Other parts of the game contain another trans character, a trans man, who constantly gets deadnamed and misgendered, and he ends upThis game is deeply transphobic.     Sony and Naughty Dog have consistently censored anyone who tries to talk about this fact, including preventing reviewers from mentioning the entire second half of the game. Any leaks/info are taken down, censored, even memes are struck with DMCA notices.

    This wouldn't be so bad if the advertising made it clear that such transphobia and homophobia would be present throughout the game. But it doesn't. Instead the advertisements blatantly lie about the game, containing scenes that never occur in-game, featuring characters that are actually killed early on.

    It gets even worse as it features quite graphic depictions of sex, featuring the trans woman character, showing her topless and ofc without breasts and still looking mannish. Basically **** trans women. The director of the game apparently took part in the motion capture, presumably for this scene.

    I've decided to rate the game poorly due to the horrific and awful portrayal of lgbt people, and the lack of disclosure in the marketing materials; failing to note what this game actually contains. Shame on you sony and naughty dog. That's **** up. I will be boycotting both sony and naughty dog for the foreseeable future, until their views on lgbt people and women change quite drastically.    … Expand

    I honestly tried to like this game, but their are too many issues that bog it down. The first game was a decent story told well, the writing wasn't spectacular yet it built up an actual world and made it believable. This game fails to do that, half way through I honestly forgot that this was suppose to be a post apocalyptic world, or that Clickers were in any way a threat to society.

    The writing is extremely basic and in your face. Every message is blatantly told to the player, and any form of subtlety doesn't exist. Characters know information that they shouldn't possibly know, and what little emotion that the story attempts to bring our misses it's mark.    … Expand

    I got my copy two days ago so I could play through it. Waht I can say to the game is that its not worth 60 dollars. If you want good and fun gameplay then you are totally wrong here.     I regarded Ellie as one of the best (if not the best) video game characters to ever be conceived after the TLOU.
    I even got a poster of TLOU -- that's how much the game meant to me. It is now evident that agenda supersedes story. I'm drained after 4 hours. I don't want to continue. As many have said, a sequel was never a good idea.

    And Ellie is just a pessimistic and ungrateful **** She had everything in her life and still thinks her life doesn't matter. Dina is a complete waste of character.
    And Sony lied about that trailer in September last year, it wasn't Joel, it was jesse and jesse got wasted pretty quickly too wtf.
    And after 25 hours of misery and killing non stop everyone who had nothing against Ellie, Ellie lets go of person who killed her father just because "revenge is bad"

    This was a let down. This is absolutely not worth the price. The only good this game has to offer is the scenery and that's about it. The first one wasnt that bad either. When you wanna make a game woke maybe start it on a newer franchise. Dont ruin one that was currently doing well.

I spent so long anticipating this game, avoiding social media for spoilers just to play it, and I'm in shock right now. Not the good kind, not the kind they tried to instill in this ham-fisted disgrace of plot development. I'm angry I spent money on this. I love shock value in video games but this just feels like I paid someone to take a crap on me. Everything feels forced.     The gameplay is a slightly refined version of TLOU, crafting, etc. didn´t change.
    now about the bad.. ND came up with the wors sequel in gaming history. The story doesn´t tell anything except violence all the time.. and more violence... and more... it doesn´t stop.
    They somehow thought it was a good idea to kill off Joel in the beginning. That may have worked if it was a somehow meaningful death but this whole thing was rushed and emotionless. After this **** move they somehow went even further and forced you to play as the manwomantransthing who killed your beloved character. Then all that follows is violence and an endless revenge circle rounded up by their LGBTQ agenda. This game is a 2/10. They messed up the characters and the story in a game that´s only about characters and story. not worth the money and everyone who played TLOU 1 should stay away from this game.    … Expand

    Awful. To satisfy the developers' vanity, it feels like one of the great game franchises was hit by a golf club without meaning. If you've been a fan since the first episode, each progress will be unpleasant. Even lots of bugs are also in here. It is obvious that Naughty Dog also threw their reputation into the trash can.

Also, all characters from first get Last Jedi treatment. Stay away from this, we play games to have fun not to feel like **** afterwards

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Первая часть «The Last of US», была банальной в плане геймплея и сюжета, но концепция у неё была хорошей. Именно из-за концепции я заинтересовался, как и пост-апокалипсисом, так и зомби жанром. За эти 7 лет мной были прочитаны десятки книг, просмотрены десятки фильмов этих жанров. И перед выходом второй части я переиграл первую. И лучше бы не переигрывал! Т.к. выявилось что помимо слабого исполнения, сюжет изобилует в наглую «скомуннизденных» идей и элементов других произведений, что были написаны или сняты за долго до выхода первой части.
    О вот вышла вторая часть. И лучше бы она не выходила бы! Помимо красивой графики, дизайна локаций, да и вообще прекрасной детализации графики в игре нет ничего хорошего или удовлетворительного. Геймплей надоел уже через 3 часа. Персонажи получили даунгрейд, как про проработке, так и по мотивации. Сюжет все также остался на 25% банальным, 35% «скомуннизденным» у других и 40% оригинальных идей. И лучше бы этих 40% не было. Эти 40% и идеями назвать нельзя. Также в игре присутствует насилие ради насилия, неожиданные сюжетные повороты ради неожиданных поворотов (при чем наверное одна треть из них может с натяжкой называться адекватной и не лишенной логики).
    Многие критики и обычные игроки отмечают, что эта игра несет великий посыл о мести. Но даже в таких произведениях как «Красный змей» с Тактраровым и «Мачете» с Денни Трехо лучше раскрывают этот посыл, при чем «Красный змей» делает это без эксплуатационного «шок-контента». Ну а про то, что Дюма со своим «Графом Монте-Кристо» смотрел бы на «Великий Посыл о Мести в «The Last of Us part2»», как на попытку школьника расписать ручку перед уроком я Вам гарантирую.
    Поэтому это скорее техно-демка Playstation нежели игра. В Плане посмотрите какая шикарная картинка на PS4, а представите как эта картинка будет выглядеть на PS5. На PS5 я бы поставил ей 4/10, но на PS4 0.4/10.
    P.S. Всю рекламную компанию игры я прошел в полной информационной изоляции, поэтому не знал про слитый сюжет, слитую информацию и т.д. Но после вступительного диалога Джоэла сразу понял чем игра закончится и оказался прав. И про этот уровень проработки сценария весь российский и зарубежный Игрожур воспевал хвалебные одды?    … Expand

While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling.
