    I was 9 when I finished Half Life Episode 2, and I got Alyx as a reward of my waiting just on the day I turned 22. Talk about 'Time Flies' The difference is: Alyx was worth the wait even after 13 years, but 7 years of anticipation, marathon-ing the game on grounded, watching documentaries and lore videos of weeks in anticipation just for this **** to happen. The writing is the worst I've ever seen, it's as if the writers saw Moonlight and thought, let's do a horrible version of that, but the whole game is that.     Unbelievable how the game has been relased only few hours ago and alredy thousands of people managed to play 30 hours of gameplay and also critically reviewed the gameplay, the plot, the graphics and everything. I hope that Metacritic will delete all their fake reviews as soon as possible.     Gameplay out-dated, story ruined and doesn’t make me want to invest time in the new character’s. Find myself just wanting to get it over with as it’s getting boring.

    I’ve given it a three as the graphics and sounds are amazing. Ignore the critic reviews they are absolutely trash and not worth reading. Give it a month or two and you’ll be able to pick this up second hand.

    An insult to the fanbase that have supported the IP for almost a decade. Beyond the poor design choices and tired, lazy game mechanics there is the impossible elephant to ignore of the grotesque pandering social agenda that has been crowbarred into a world that is utterly incongruous to it. A heinous blunder that will be talked for years to come.

    Absolutely amazing. Gameplay is way better than TLOU 1 and the atmosphere and storytelling is stellar. This kind of cinematic experience is rivaled only by Rockstar's RDR2.

The technical stuff is there, graphics-wise it feels like a 2020 game, but oh god, the story is so badly written and full of social and politic agenda It makes you wonder why Bruce Straley left the studio 3 years ago when this was in development and Sarkeesian became a consultor for the game.

С анимациями беда: трава максимально нереалистичная, будто это волосы. Герои постоянно подергиваются, будто у них нервный тик. Разнообразие нпс не работает, постоянно одинаковые модели. Ну и сюжет провален в плане а) предсказуемости б) полит пропаганды из всех щелей в) перелопаченных характеров героев, что вообще не соотносится с 1 частью

    It breaks my heart to write this, but I really did not expect such a poor story after all these years of waiting. While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling. It seems like this game was done by other studio, but its not

    There is a reason why a lot of the old developers of the last of us 1 left the company and I'm sure it's also related to some stupid ideas of some specific head ofs.

    In its strangest irony, it brings nothing to the table in terms of art and storytelling, but will probably be used as a milestone for graphics and gameplay AI with environment design for future video games. I will even agree to the awards that it may achieve due to this.

    The pacing and structure of the story is absolutely awful and disengaging: worst of all, I don't feel challenged - both as a gamer and as an audience for these kinds of things; this game hits every revenge-story trope in the most monotonous way possible. This shocked me greatly since "The Last of Us (Part 1)" does not have these issues at all - at least not significantly. It was saddening for me to be able to tell every beat from the beginning to the end after going into a blackout to avoid the leaks until this very day.

    The character development is entirely dependent on "The Last of Us (Part 1)" with the new characters being utterly disposable or being only useful as tools for the story to get on with the next beat. If you are a person who reads books and/or watches television shows and movies about this genre, this game has NOTHING to offer aside from spectacle - no doubt from the money and time and effort invested into this video game to brute force this story to work.

    It is also no doubt that the reviewers who blatantly threw high scores for this game have no experience in this genre at all and - thus - are not competent reviewers if they're trying to argue for the sake of this story's quality. Speaking of which, it is - at its very best - boring and unsatisfying with no shock value. Again, if you are familiar with the revenge-story trope of how it's corrupting and all, this is nothing new: even the ending of "The Last of Us Part 2" is an exact copy of some other stories and movies - totally lacking all sense of originality like a teenager in his or her hormonal years after watching an edgy dark movie.

    Since the video game claims itself to be story-centric, I give a 3 out of 10 for "The Last of Us Part 2".

    1 point for the fact that every single level in this game looks atmospherically beautiful while being accompanied by good level design.
    1 point for the fact of how the AI interacts with the environment so naturally for the gameplay to exist so smoothly and wonderfully, and - by that - players experience intriguing combat scenarios.
    1 point for the motion-capture actors' and actresses' performances along with the animators who gave their blood and sweat to every little detail.

    But that's it.
    For a game bragging itself to be story-centric, I cannot - in good will - give it any higher for its technical quality as it is - literally by the word - nihilistic in the end and with no value for the person experiencing.

    What is the point of experiencing a technical achievement if its core trick can be seen anywhere else and gives no reason to follow until its end?

    With that, I can only recommend "The Last of Us Part 2" to people who have barely scratched to experience art and revenge stories, and to people who would be interested in experiencing the remarkable polish.    … Expand

Ok, I've played the last of us 1 and I have to say this game feels completely different and just wants to make the player feel bad about Things about THEY HAD NO CHOICE!!!! The Last of Us the possibility of playing through the entire game with just killing two people , however this game tells you that you apparently killed dozens of people in the last game and you have no say in all of this despite the first game specifically allowing you to evade enemies, not killing them. This game for forces you to kill people and then wants to make you guilty about that. I do not understand what the creators of this game thought but this has absolutely to do nothing with the last game. literally all your actions are railroaded as opposed to the first game and then the game insults You by saying "you are bad person why did you do that"? I'm not going to talk about how this game completely destroys our beloved characters but this game is literally telling a person to go through a door and then insulting them and telling them they are bad person for walking through that door. If you had an actual choice in this game then I would understand it but there's absolutely no reason that any of this story makes.     The Last of Us Part II is the perfect combination of horrible writing with a fat budget turned to turd. I find the characters very odious, I think they are purposely written to push an agenda.     I've managed to stay relatively leak safe because I was so looking forward to this sequel that I just couldn't care less for the bad publicity it was receiving. But after playing it I cant stand the disappointment.
    Everything looks so amazing, little and secret details in every scene...

    All in all the game itself is not bad, the acting, the graphics, game engine, the beautiful views, it's all there but the story is so unbelievably awful, all these incredibly terrible decisions. I can't believe that this is what we get as a sequel to such a masterpiece.

    GRAND DISAPPOINTMENT.

    The gameplay is enhanced but feels a bit old and it will get boring after 10-15 hours - the exact amount of time that the game should be long

I never review anything, but I feel like I would’ve been better off just flushing $60 down the toilet. If you’re looking for a satisfying ending, look elsewhere because this one makes no sense. Yes, you become the better man, er woman after the main villain eats your fingers and you think about guitars. You don’t want revenge after you tell the main villain you will kill her as she kills Joel in front of you. You just want to play guitar with your eight fingers. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
