    Clunky, slow...so slow. Repetitive gameplay...Story is controversial but I know Americans love bad writing (or there wouldn’t be so many step up dance movies and have a joke for a president lol).

    Gameplay is super polished and the visuals are legitimately the best I’ve ever seen, a shame the story goes for the ol’ “shock and awe” tactic and falls flat on its face

    画面和游戏杀戮体验接近满分,但游戏性并不值得任何形式的鼓吹,潜行玩法发展到2020年还是局限于躲藏与暗杀甚至连搬运尸体的功能都没有。因此美末2的玩法只属于原有基础的完善,实际上毫无新意;
    剧本三流美剧,放在电影里也就人物情感表现可圈可点,框架思路还算有新意,然而串联起不同情节桥段的线索逻辑空缺严重,疏漏得一塌糊涂:
    乔尔为什么会犯下普通生还者都不会犯的严重错误,没具体解释;
    金刚芭比为什么杀起自己人来不手软,为什么能为了一个孩子背叛自己相处了好几年的队友连击晕选项都不给,恶心玩家的同时也糟蹋了尝试代入艾比的玩家的情感体验;
    艾莉和艾比就见了三次面,前两次死了两个自己珍视的人,最后一次就是多年以后的复仇——谈何放走艾比?铺垫严重不足
    好剧本好就好在铺垫、线索、逻辑亦或者表现力。而这些本作几乎不沾边。简单总结:
    情节转折唐突,铺垫少影响逻辑;
    角色性质工具化,情感变化代入缺失;
    预告欺诈,重要角色处理方式消费玩家感情;剥夺玩家选择权。

    The story is about revenge and it’s extremely dark. Not as good as the first one, but better gameplay IMO. In you don’t like it then it’s fine. Naughty Dog took a shot and worked for some and not all

Woke Trash from beyond the Golf Club, ruined the previous game and attempted to tell a revenge story on the basis of "cycle of mean people never end." Core game play was relatively the same as the previous entry outside of flashier animations, the only exceptions are better stealth sections & difficulty settings customization. So basically, I like the story, a bit disappointed in the end, overall good game. I really like the gameplay and gameplay mechanics.
    Summary: a good game, wouldn't play it again though.

    The gameplay is fine however the story disregards the last game. It really feels like aside from character names we were playing an unrelated story because the characters were different and not so much time has passed that this would make sense. The game is also to long. It should have ended sooner than it did.

    I wouldn't call this game a complete failure, the graphics are godlike and the gameplay is very fun. However, this game is very brutal and made me sick at some parts, the story sacrifices character moments for SJW appeal (which it somehow also fails at? what?!) and you don't play as the giraffe from the first game. 0/5 **** sucks

    For the first time I felt that a game could tell a story without depending on joy. Something that the film industry shows for a long time. There's movies that make you feel sad, and often offer something that's painfully to watch. But the main difference is that in a video game you're not the spectator and this game will make you feel the actions of the main characters you control like any other game ever made.

    Hopefully this will open a new path for storytelling in the AAA industry.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us has some pretty good high value here and there for a medium that is often pretty poor. From excelent uses of color in dramatic moments (the red room, the camera tricks in the last phase) to dramatically powerfull symbology and use of recorrent images. I cannot deny that the team behind it did some astouding work in some regards, but it is also undeniable that those good feats are more due to talented individual artists (that unfortunatelly were not well paid during production) than of any concrete/ well organized vision.

    Videogame storytelling is still strugling to be respected in counterpart to its movie and literature brothers, and the last of us is not a good example of one that stands out from the crowd. The game suffers from just too many poor editing choices (the game is to long, and there are scenes that could have really won with a good editor) and plotholes that easily make any telespectator lose his suspension of disbelief. But even if those more ''technicall'' dificulties of production were removed (there was no need for the false ending) the story itself does not bring nothing new to the table. Sure, the idea of playing as the villain you were initially hunting can open interesting new possibilities, but the overall message is still a shallow ''Vengeance is bad''. There are many stories that speak of such themes with more interesting lens, and as a screenwriting undegraduate I can atest that this sort of metaphor the game proposes is a common mistake with beginners.

    To conclude: the last of us part 2 really needed a editor. It would have made the game greatly superior to what it is now (there is a reason why Holywood has diferent editors for everything possible) but even them, it is not really a outstanding work on its own, and there are games/literature/movies that perform this sort of vision in a more nuanced and innovative way.

Especially with Abby, it makes sense why he did die. The world is gorgeous as hell. The character relationships (like Joel and Ellie, Ellie and Dina and Abby and Lev) are fantastic. The infected is still incredible like the Rat King is INSANE!! The new enemy types are amazing. I love the Scar brutes, the guard dogs. I love that Ellie is much more faster and agile than Joel in TLOU Part 1. The combat is brutsl and I love it. Naughty Dog have done something I thought they'd never achieve - a sequel that surpasses the first. A clever, undoubtedly controversial moment comes with a surprise shift in gameplay some way through the game - but the way it soon wins you round is quite the achievement. And the story - an emotional rollercoaster: violent, brutal, funny, heartbreaking. Just brilliant.

    It truly pushes new ground in the line between movies and gaming.

    And that guitar...

    If I have one complaint, it's the same one that I had for the first game - the AI is not the best. But you can forgive that.

    An easy 10/10 for me.

    An aside: The ridiculousness of people spamming zero stars based on spoilers they'd seen rather than playing the actual game (laughably thousands of these appeared within minutes of release - despite the game taking 25-30+ hours) is incredible.

    I will just say this: to those writing it off because of some spoler you've read - just play the game. Trust me, many of you may you may be surprised.

The game did feel surprisingly long, compared to the first installation, but as a huge fan of the previous game, I really didn't mind. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. *sigh where do i start?

    Let me say my credentials so you don't think i'm a 'troll' or 'right wing bot'.

    I played The Last of Us on PS3, then got it on PS4. It became a game i would return to again and again, i played the game 6 times. Multiplayer was very fun and i happily spent hundreds of hours in the mode. I was hyped, i followed every development that the game had, nearly bought the collectors edition, but settled on the deluxe edition. With all that out of the way, i have to describe my experience.

    I stayed up late, i was in the discord of the subreddit, watching as the minutes ticked down. I was one of the first to enter the game. I was excited, I've only seen one spoiler and it was minor. I got into the game, and... i was blown away, the graphics and stuff. I remember Joel and Ellie's relationship being kinda rocky in the start. Then i was so so on the new characters, Then, i saw Joel's death. I was hoping it was going to happen later on in the game, as the marketing showed Joel alive in Seattle, so i thought maybe he was alive but brained damaged/coma. I had to stop there because it was a awful way to die, but it fits the universe. I picked back up in the morning, i wanted revenge, and i went out of my way to kill every WLF patrol in game play, i didn't feel any remorse over who Ellie killed, as she was acting in self defense. The flashbacks were amazing, between Joel and Ellie hit the right balance between good writing and character development. The only flashback that felt off because of little talking that happened was when Ellie goes back to salt lake hospital and learns what happens. We get 3 sentences and it's a shatter relationship. Then we get to the most meh of meh parts, Abby's entire section.

    Oh boy, Abby has no goal. The Entire. God. Damn. Time. Her flashbacks were nice, i really liked Owen out of the new cast, Smart, resourceful and pragmatic. Mel was the worst of the new cast, it makes no sense for her to be out in combat, the first thing that happens is she and everyone of the new cast gets AMBUSHED and she's out here thinking everything will be fine. Anyway back to Abby. This leads back into my theory of Part 1, a theory that was put out by Joseph Anderson in his review of the game, that the fireflys have no idea what the **** they are doing. I thought Part 2 would spend more time fleshing out this theory that the fireflys were bad, by replacing it with anything to make me care more about the group. Instead you see that they really are scum, they rather they sacrifice the only known case of immunity so they can excuse there own sins. They don't have the best interest in helping anyone. It's just a reactionary group trying to gasp there way back into relevance. It's not like the fireflys would be able to make this cure, or that they would give it out freely. Joel's choice was selfish, but looking at the bigger picture, it's good the best choice for humanity.

    I was really sad to learn that Part 2 doesn't try and disprove the theory i said above, as i think the writers want you to think that they are good, and Joel is bad bad man that 'doomed' humanity. So now we have Abby, a firefly member that would sacrifice herself to her cause, meanwhile, they don't even allow Ellie to have that choice. Anyway, when i was fighting Abby, i wanted her to die, i didn't want to hurt Ellie. The game forced me to win that encounter, because they knew if we played as Ellie, Abby would be dead. I think that alone is a failing of the games story, no matter what growth both characters went through.

    We had a entire game to like Joel and Ellie. We were given no backstory except key snippets of Abby's life. The parts relating to Ellie and Joel. What did she do to join the WLF? What was she doing in her time in the WLF? All of these questions are never answer or hinted at. the best guess you could do is that Abby is 'the best Scar killer' so killing people daily. It just fells like there is a ghost game that would have bridged the cap between Part 1 and Part 2 that would follow Abby and Abby only and at the very end hint at her coming after Joel. Then we have buildup and we like for sure both characters, not because they have kids, but because we could feel bad for them. WLF kill all trespasser, you think Abby's never had to shoot a family? If you think about it, the WLF is a Hunter group, a group of people who freely kill people within there territory. Instead of for supply's, for ??? why do they kill trespassers again? Could you image if aside from Scar's, they accepted outsiders in, just like Jackson? Could you imagine seeing the same **** you saw in Jackson in the WLF? Then it would be a lot more questionable, but nope, they send kill squads around to kill anyone that isn't WLF.

    Anyway, this review is getting long, i rated it a 3 because the game play graphics and sound are godlike. The story however, has serious flaw
