The focus on Personality Politics destroyed this game with their Feminist Ideology and SJW Politics.

Not with naughty dog, but with people unable to give something a chance because they are so blinded by politics and ideology, which is ironic because essentially this is a story about how you can be blinded by tribalism and revenge.

    Pros
    Thought-provoking story
    Excellent graphics
    incredible animation
    Cons
The gameplay feels a little dated
Pacing is a little off in places
    8/10. defo worth playing.

The game is not interesting. I don't understand why I have to play Abby characters.

I don't understand the ending. I know what the game message is, but it's not convincing, and when you kill hundreds of zombies and people, you just kill them, and suddenly you're hesitant to empathize with the kid who killed Joel? It doesn't make sense. It's too much to force a message in. Neil Druckman

Neil Druckman says he wants to hate his fans passionately, but if he's going to ruin their mood like that, he's not going to pay for Laoer 2, or he's just going to suck up their money and betray them?

I am honestly so heartbroken. This game is so beautiful and fun to play. But that's it.
The story is so horribly badly written I can't even understand why and how that happened?
Self-inserting of the game devs was what shocked me the most. Do it in a fun way. But THIS?
    Disgusting.

I wish I would have saved this money for something else.

The user score here have been made by people, and this is a pure and transparent way to warn other people whether it's a good or bad title. This is a powerful form of democratic power, and this is showing. Even if this s****y game starts to raise above 5.0, it is still a democratic way of voting.

This being said, let's talk about the game.
I already saw the whole cutscenes, the whole game, and also the ending.
For me, games like this, not competitive ones that more on the narrative side, are meant to be played like they were movies. When you finish it for the first time, there's no point in playing it again to get a platinum trophy for a game that you already know everything about in terms of story.
Therefore, this is a game that focuses on NARRATIVE, it focuses on the story, the background, the characters and everything that surrounds them, the soundtrack that is playing that suits everything perfectly.

This game have been made by professionals, some of the best ones. All the actors of the motion capture have done a beautiful job, the tech teams have done a great job in blending the graphics with the environment and all is done perfectly, the soundtrack is a piece of art.
The only thing that makes me vote like this, and made this uproar are the choices that have been made for the story. AND the questionable type of gameplay. Same as the first one, imo.
It's not a rant of a GoT-like fan that sees his character die and whines, it's not like that. I don't have anything against LGBTQ, I don't give a damn about stuff like this just because I think everyone should have same opportunities.
Simply all the wrong choices have been made to turn this game in a propagandised game and a "do-gooding" ending is the cherry on top. Ellie turning out to be a Jesus-like girl that forgives everything.

What in the actual f**k? Are you really serious? You put us in this situation, where Joel is killed EXACTLY like a certain character of TWD, by a character that is completely anonymous, son/daughter of a f*****g SCRIPTED secondary character that you see by the ending of TLOU 1.
BY A SCRIPTED character, meaning that you DEFINITELY knew that you were going to turn the story like this from the beginning, or, if not, you just wanted that surgeon to be a part of something relevant, OF COURSE.
This could have been done PERFECTLY.
Listen to me: what about doing like the old Mass Effect games, but BETTER?

Let's give the player the opportunity to kill the surgeon, that was a civilian doing his job to save humanity, or to let him live, just knocking him out.
You killed him in TLOU 1? You got this story and this ending.
You didn't kill him? Or, even better, did you restart TLOU to get to that point and DON'T kill him?
Good, you will now get a different story with a better ending.
That would have been a GREAT way to make this game the masterpiece that we were waiting for, fusing an old mechanic into something new.
Shame to all the "Critic Reviews" that are PAID to say that it is worth 100 score.
This is a game that doesn't give us new gameplay. It just gives us a "story update".

I've bought TLOU on PS3 and the remastered for PS4 without hesitation, but you won't have a cent from me for TLOU 2. Not this time.

How disappointing. All I want is a game designed to be enjoyable with characters i can relate to. But of course their top priority was to push whackjob social justice politics from beginning to end. Sick of it. Disgusted.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The worst plot the world has ever seen. Same gameplay as always (3/10), nothing revolutionary. Terrible ending with no choice (this insane Ellie, which is driven by random flashbacks in her head). Zero meaning (casual - revenge is bad? seriously?), horribly story line, default trash gameplay, half of the game as Abby, which we don't give a **** about. Pointless and boring background characters. 0/10. The tech quality of the game is ok (graphics/animation - nice, but the same mega boring gameplay (WALKING, usual stealth and horrible fights), but it is overwhelmed by other things.
But it's ok, it is like Terminator Genesis or that kind of trash sequel, which nobody would give a **** about

Such well built story from the previous game turned into a pointless **** show is why am giving this a solid zero. I have played The last of us remastered more than twice and i have played this one too. How can they make joel act that dumb ? Last of Us 1:"l struggled for a long time with surviving. And no matter what, don't trust nobody but yourself." Joel Last of Us 2: "Howdy stranger! My names Joel! And then being treated like a golf ball by the person he saved 30 minutes ago ? she wanted revenge as she was the daughter of a random doctor we killed in the previous game ? i wow the whole bunch of fireflie families could be wanting the same.thing them . It was just absurd to even play after joels death as in the end you let that piece of **** go as they try to show she's a good person. Expand

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
