    Dont buy, graphics nice does not make a game, its simply rambling along chattering with your girlfriend to get to a cut scene. The dialogue is pure cringe, you are traversing the apocalypse with two little girls with a hardly a pick on them talking about clothes or movies or how did they rate your kiss...is that what games have come to?.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I waited 7 years for The Last of Us Part II. I tried not to expect too much, and I was right.
    In terms of gameplay, its no wonder that Naughty Dog excels at it. It has beautiful graphics and scenery, but that only makes up a small percentage of what makes a great game, especially one with a huge following such as TLOU. The characters were piss poor. Joel's confidence, problems with his past, and badass character is taken away immediately. Ellie's loveable sidekick persona becomes weak, as she comes off annoying in TLOU2. Abby is a whole other story. I can see the direction of making the audience sympathetic to her, but it turns to **** . Almost every direction taken by Druckmann is executed horribly; Joel's death could have been worthwhile and have meaning, and Ellie's goal of revenge ends up fruitless.
    The edgy theme of revenge and hate isn't done well at all; the characters are very 1D, and for a 25 hour game, everything is so quick and predictable. Representation is expected obviously, but damn...even that was done horribly too. It isn't a well written story at all, and the characters don't receive an arc despite the journey they go through. Joel deserved better.
    It's better to think of the franchise as just TLOU1 and Left Behind.    … Expand

The gameplay is fine if not excellent, but the story ruined the entire experience for me. I have never bothered to review a game on metacritic before, but i feel like i need to let the developers and writers of this game know they **** it up big time. If you unlike me can look past the butchering of beloved characters, then by all means buy this game for the great gameplay. If however, you cared about Joel and Ellie from the first game, then play the remastered edition again and give this game the middle finger. Subverting expectations is not a great storytelling tool and the writers of this game should be ashamed.… Expand

    I've managed to stay relatively leak safe because I was so looking forward to this sequel that I just couldn't care less for the bad publicity it was receiving. But after playing it I cant stand the disappointment.
    Everything looks so amazing, little and secret details in every scene...
    The gameplay its not the best but its improved upon the first game.     What is really lacking is the narrative structure and character relationships. This characters are NOT the same ones from the previous game despite being a direct continuation. IGNoring all of the "professional" "10/10" reviews... In a post apocalyptic world where the main concern is sexuality like there arent other problems to think about, the game falls flat afer the first 3 hours following the "shock value scene" whitch is set as the motivation for the entire game to exist... After this point the more you go on the more you understand how everyone acts out of character just to push forward a story that will make you feel numb, and disconnected , throwing in all the diversity you can get ... I grew to dislike every caracter in this game... I wonder who are the target players for this game, as i doubt that most people will connec with an unlikeable edgy lesbian ...but to each their own... The game is a solid 6 only because of the presentation ... The 0 is just to balamce out the bs 10... This game is just dumb and has no real reason to exist aside agenda and sweet sweet $$$… Expand

Механика стелса устарела и не приносит ничего нового, зайди за спину,кинь предмет что бы отвлечь, это все чувствуется устаревшим и по мне разницы с 1 частью её просто нет. В игре есть баги, да не критичные, но игру создавали не 1 и не 2 года, компания просто забила на бета тест и решила что и так схавают. Ну и конечно же это сюжет,который не интересный и пронижен ЛГБТ. Игра стоит того что бы поиграть, но она не заслуживает того что бы быть 2 частью. Press F for this game.… Expand

It is clearly an amalgamation of agenda statements that isn't fun to play whatsoever. It is also very clearly falsely advertised to "subvert your expectations". The gameplay is outdated and unexciting. No we the gamers don't trust paid reviews.we will not buy your game!I appeal to Sony to adrees Naughty dog on how they have literally spat on the best farther daughter relationship ever told and replaced with this. Something like this must not happen again to other Sony legends. The gaming community did not ask for this and I'm glad you will lose money.

    This was my absolute favorite game and the reason I bought the ps4 in the first place, I feel absolutely betrayed by naughty dog for politicizing the game, they knew exactly what they were doing and its so far divorced from the original game its barely tangible to claim so. Blizzard, Bethesda and now Naughty dog have all completely all but denounced their fans and its a disgrace.     The technical side is okay (despite a little downgrade though), but the story is not interesting (putting apart the controversy side) and Ellie's actions make no sense...
    I wouldn't recommend it.

Politics is correct, can not be questioned, and as PS4 generation's final work, great creative pressure also let the producer and the capital behind it can not withstand a little negation. The high scores of the media and the one-sided scolding of the players symbolize not only the tendency of the creators to leave the players, but also the dilemma that the game media generally encounter. Whether stuffed with money or forced by political correctness, this uniform high score is more like a farce, an art of behavior involved in the whole game world, its drama, even more thought-provoking than the game itself.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
