    I think it's fantastic that game developers have complete contempt for their consumer base, and go to extreme lengths to "subvert expectations" by taking anything we like and smearing it with **** Good job, retards.

Metacritic put this game on the same level with the gods and goddesses of the gaming history like "Skyrim, Mario Odyssey, Breath of The Wild etc.". You made people waste their money with this reviews where people potentially don't even enjot the game after the second hour because they were such a fan of the first one.     You Neil, didn't know jack **** about Joel and depicted him as a shy dadlike character who would'a save a random stranger/follow her and just announce himself in a place full of strangers. I cannot compare this story choice to GOT Season 8 or Star Wars Last Jedi **** show BECAUSE they have a lot of hours of content so maybe that can be justifiable as directors losing consistency over a long shot. This is the second game of the franchise. Who do you think you are to change pace of the story in such if this is 10th season of some Walking Dead like show? This is the second mistake.

    Finally you pushed a political agenda in your game for every inch of an hour. People just want to play their game. They do not want to relate to poorly written characters who just happens to not be cis gender. They just want to play their game because they like the series so much. You could have written literally anything else and it would be worth our while. and you treat your devs who sweat 12 hours a day like robots that third and fourth mistake. I was handed 100 cards full of mistake I just don't have patients to go on.

    Highly disrespect the first game including the fans. This game is garbage the only great thing about this game is the graphics. Story wise literally garbage. Shame on you Neil for putting politics in this game.

I hated this game and was really looking forward to it. Wish I could get a refund. Do NOT buy. The fun is gone. Wont even finish it. It's that bad. The story and the characters blow me away every time I go though it. So, to say that I have been waiting a lot for this second game, is an understatement. But, as much as I love the first one, as much I hate this second game. I literally feel like punching my fist through the wall, throw my PS4 and that game out the window, run down the street, throw gasoline on it, set it on fire and then pee on the ashes. Why would anyone spend so many resources to make such a great and beautiful game and then apply the most terrible storyline ever? It makes NO sense to me. I wonder what Naughty Dog has been thinking; "Hey, let's make a bunch of trailers showing Ellie and Joel, then kill Joel in the most brutal way ever and make them play the game as Joel’s murder" - WHAT THE ****! It is like you have been trolling us for the last couple of years and make us buy this game on false premises. Imagine you bought a new Zelda game, Link gets slaughtered and then you play rest of game as Link’s murder. Why would anyone want that? I avoided the leaks in good faith, but now I just wasted a bunch of money. I am so depressed right now, as if 2020 was not bad enough already. But hey, I guess you can say that The Last of Us Part 2 fits 2020 perfectly – It is like this game was made to finish people off...… Expand

    What a disappointment. Sorry to see beloved characters disrespected. Outstanding sound and visuals, however the story just doesn’t sit well with me. I would recommend saving your $60.

    Relation between Dina and Elie is totally teenage row and uninspired.
    Game is really repetitive in conflict parts.
    There is no differemce between cheap hollywood scenerios.
    Naughty Dog have to be more respectful to customers.
    We have to balance againts inflated rates.

    The political correctness things did nothing for this score, but the story is just bad as hell.

    This game made same mistake as "Spec Ops: the Line".... forces the players to do wrong thing without any other choice,blames players for doing that, makes player to confuse why have they done such hard works for. Furthermore, this game made this error with the two main characters of the previous title, Joel and Ellie. This makes the fans of previous title to feel their loved characters being treated very disrespectfully.    … Expand

    disappointing plot and game play experience. NaughtyDog really know how to add PR tags to the game, but at the end of the day, what really matters is still the quality of the game and its story line.

    The plot of this game and new characters is just ultimately disgusting. Its actually not the sequel of masterpiece, I will never admit this trash as sequel.

    Cruelty of scene with ... is mind breaking. Director, burn in hell please.
    p.s Most of high score reviews is bought by naughty dog, deal with it.

    Please just save your money. Please. This game is HORRIBLE I'm honestly speechless at how had it is. Yeah good graphics woohoo, but story? Yeah dont count on it. I can not believe ND would even do this to their fans and how Neil Druckman still has a job? Its beyond me.

    This game is so bad that if you made every character straight white and male, the people critics call "incel bigots" would still trash on this game. It's dark for the sake of being dark. Diverse for the sake of torturing its LGBT characters. It's trying to be philosophical but the overarching message is too cliche, especially in Asia where this kind of plot is already common.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
