    I am enjoying this game. Naughty dog has continued their epic story by focusing on the repercussions of the actions in the first game. You see how not only Ellie is effected but the toll that the first game has on new characters. A story with complex characters and beautiful graphics. There’s a lot of hate for this gane for choices made story wise but I applaud naughty dog for telling aI am enjoying this game.     Im halfway through the game and i really dont know guys
    1. How could all of you 0/10 finish the game 1 hour after release

    The Last of Us Part 2 is a betrayal. It undermines the beautifully ambiguous storytelling of the first game and dishonors what Joel and Ellie had to survive and endure. It takes these beloved characters and ruins them to hammer in that Abby was no worse than Joel, Ellie was no better than Joel, and Joel was a villain.     The Last of Us Part 2 is a betrayal. It undermines the beautifully ambiguous storytelling of the first game and dishonors what Joel and Ellie had to survive and endure. It takes these beloved characters and ruins them to hammer in that Abby was no worse than Joel, Ellie was no better than Joel, and Joel was a villain. In contrast, themes like revenge, violence, and forgiveness all ring hollow in this sadistic game.

    Neil Druckmann has said he loves Joel and Ellie, but actions speak louder than words. Make no mistake, the Joel and Ellie fans loved from the first game are gone - one literally and the other all but in name. And while most of the fan hate focuses on what was done to Joel, it’s really Ellie who gets the worse treatment. The story Druckmann chose to write takes a tough as nails yet charmingly sarcastic and plucky girl and methodically breaks her, both psychologically and physically. It also makes the player complicit in this narrative with no choices, aside from simply not playing the game.

    So, Naughty Dog tricked fans into participating in a beautifully produced snuff film and now wants praise for their audacity. Certainly, plenty of professional gaming journalists have done just that, along with allies of social diversity who may or may not have even played the game. To be fair, I can’t fault people too much since any critics run the risk of being labeled bigots and getting blacklisted. In fact, defending the game may even be a way of rationalizing what was done in hopes it wasn’t all for nothing, similar to how other fans might wish it was all just a fever dream.

    If the choice is between a kind of Stockholm Syndrome or becoming depressed, all the false praise for TLOU2 makes a lot of sense. Seeing the sheer amount of mental gymnastics the defenders of this game are willing to perform is impressive. There’s no doubt what Naughty Dog did to their fans was both by design and rather clever. If there’s one defining zeitgeist of our times, it’s divisiveness. Also, they couldn’t have been given a better time to release than 2020. Truly, a masterpiece of malicious manipulation.

    There’s just one small problem with Naughty Dog’s strategy - it seems to have alienated a significant portion of their fan base. What that means for the survival of the franchise and the developer only time will tell. But for Joel and Ellie’s sake, an old proverb comes to mind...

    A true masterpiece that will raise the bar and inspire many other games in all aspects of game design, for years to come. Especially in the storytelling department as a lot of AAA games' stories these days tend to be uninspired & lazy at best. Props to Sony for genuinely allowing all of their first party game devs to push boundaries of game design.

    I play games for its awesome gameplay graphics and setting plus story, story for me in a videogame is a Plus not mandatory,,
    if I care too much about the story there are millions of tv shows and movies out there go watch them to pay $60 for a story go and pick a novel for 10 bucks and thats it don't bother yourself with the story in video games;

    Концовка меня эмоционально вымотала.
    Игра ничуть не хуже первой части. Эй, а вы там, кричащие, орущие, брызжущие слюной, о том что игра плохая, лесбиянки фууу, Идите с миром, я устал.     It's just awesome. Animations, game-play, storytelling, all in the game did with love. Thank you NG for your titanic work!!! Games like that release once in ten year or even less often

    Those idiots that rate this game 0 don't even played it. They lost their stupid jobs during corona-crisis, so they don't have money to buy a game anymore and just sits in their poor homes all day, poop in their pants and hates everything.

    Naughty Dog had one job : optimize the game for 1 device and they fail. Visibly they don't play their own game, there is no quality control. they don't deserve a good notation.
    many fps drop on ps4 pro. With a 60fps game it's ok when there is a little drop sometimes, but the game is already at 30... I wanted to play a game, not watch a powerpoint

    One of the greatest games I've ever played, I didn't think this would beat the first tlou after I saw the leaks, but I was wrong, will definitely be replaying this!! The gameplay is amazing and so is the story, I absolutely love Ellie, and her relationship with Dina, I also love the side characters as they are written brilliantly and I love the flashbacks

    A gorgeous, gut wrenching and tense game. An improvement on everything that made the first game so monumental. One of the most addictive experiences in recent memory. Well acted, well paced and unpredictable. This game is art.

    The game play is a natural extension of the first one with enough enhancements to keep it fresh. Moving through the environments is effortless and fluid, giving you control over how you tackle combat and exploration. No two people will play the same way and there is enough obscure combat detail to continually surprise.

    This is not a game about heroes. The characters are wonderful and sympathetic, but also deeply flawed. Their personal motivations obscure the moral consequences of their actions. Every turn presents another emotional gut punch. The story is bleak and realistic with just enough small, sweet human moments to remind us of the better sides of humanity.

    There are hundreds of hidden nooks and crannies to explore with a variety of light puzzle solving elements. Going off the beaten path will almost always result in a reward. The safe codes are probably my favorite. It's a joy to try and figure out the safe codes from reading notes and exploring for clever clues in the environments.

    To summarize: This game is excellent, polished with a rare attention to detail. Also, breaking glass is a joy lol.

    The fact that it upsets red pill types is just icing on the cake.    … Expand

Our characters are here, and some moments arent what people are going to want at all. But revenge is a story, and it never goes well for anyone. The game is beautiful, and the story is what it needs to be for the kind of world exist. If you dont like the story, then your sheltered life maybe needs an eye opener. Thank you Naughty dog… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
