    the mechanics and gameplay have not changed much since the first game, with just a few minor changes. The story on the other hand, or should i say the experience, is one of the best ive lived in a game in a long time, making you feel for the characters while still questioning their motives and their actions. id recommend this game to anyone who understands today's world, seeing as thoughthe mechanics and gameplay have not changed much since the first game, with just a few minor changes. Great gameplay flawed story so many things such as Abby's strength is unrealistic even a female weight lifter said it was impossible with Abby's schedule. Even though Joel was soft you don't forget common sense "Oh I killed hundreds of people I'm gonna tell some random group I never met my name" also never explained how they even found Joel's group which kinda seems unrealistic and they pretty much lied it most of the trailers so yeah it's not what it says it is. It's not a Joel and Ellie story.… Expand

    This game is immeasurably taxing on the player’s soul. Gameplay is perfect, & the story takes some impossible risks that require an open-minded approach to pay off for the gamer. Overall, this game was beautifully made & the story succeeds.

    Raw and cruel plot. The best story and narrative in any game I’ve ever played. This game will make history. A master piece in every sense. Thanks Naught Dog.

Other than the story itself, this game really deserves at least a score of 4, but one should never provoke gamers just because we don't like the game/plot (that is, even if we review bombed it, as it is actually a great way for the studio to get feedback for the game and also future game design).     This game makes a lot of mistakes in terms of storytelling. The story is disordered and pretentious, of which all the characters look like puppets with schizophrenia manipulated by the director.

    This game is a wasted potential. It throws everything that made the first one a masterpiece and the best game in history. The first one was built on a bond between two characters that hated each other. By the end of the game they were like father and daughter. The story was what shined. And it was just perfect. It was like watching a movie that I was forced to watch, the person that made me watch the movie really loves it, and wants you to too, but you feel bad telling them if was terrible.     This game is one of the most ambitious stories I've ever played in a video game, there is no doubt it has split the player base (just look at the user reviews compared to what they were when the game first came out) but it was **** eviscerated by leaks and hit pieces from youtubers, it was a mess. When i actually sat down and beat the game myself i felt like an idiot for not believing in this studio, it made me re-evaluate how i look at reviews and what to think about reviews and online discourse surrounding games. The only real hiccup I've thought of is that there are a handful of pacing issues and a portion does drag enough to make it off putting to some especially if they aren't entirely bought into whats happening yet. All id say is play the game for yourself and see because this not just another company ruining their properties because they're "woke" or "pandering".… Expand

    Um dos melhores jogos que já joguei na vida, uma narrativa que sai sos padrões e tira o usuário de sua zona de conforto, te coloca no papel de vilao e tira a imagem que dentro de um mundo apocalíptico zumbi existam heróis, e que na verdade são todos lutando para sua sobrevivência .

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I refrained from judging until I made it to the end of the game and now I actually understand why this game is so low-rated by the players. To begin with: the story itself turned out so shallow, despite the deep drama and emotions of the characters. I actually feel a little waste of time by playing a game of blind revenge without any high cause. Eye for an eye is what it's all about. Frustrated about wasted lives, all the losses that character had to face in the name of... revenge. Comparing to pt.1, pt.2 feels and looks so immature. Oh well and last but not least: the agenda, that what actually makes you feel homophobic. You are fed with gay stories all the way, and when the storyline told about the Scar boy/girl (I couldn't tell in the end) with self-identification issues It look ridiculously squeezed into the hard post-apocalyptic world. When I completed the story of pt.1 I hoped that there would be no sequel that would ruin the feel of delight. And then pt.2 happened. Game mechanics are pretty much the same, detail level is impressive as before, Naughty Dog raised the level once again, the difficulty happens to be easier than pt.1, but pt.2 compensates being literally crowded with enemies. This is my first review and I really wanted to explain why this game was given all the cold. Try it for yourself.… Expand

The game play is the same as TLOU so no change on that front however I did like Abby's gameplay just because you get to punch things really hard.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
