Naughty dog, you challenge the game and the player. This is the strongest antinomy in the history of the game, the richest expression of emotions. Even if your work is still so rough and scribbled, I still want to praise you.
But you have made the most serious mistake, that is, when I told Hideo Kojima's behavior in those years, it can be said to be black history.
I will still give you a very high score to gradually encourage you, but hope you can become truly brave.

I truly feel Naughty Dog have broken TLOU for us and destroyed all the emotional attachment we had with Ellie going into TLOU Part 2. We all knew Joel was likely to die. Even before the leaks (which I swear I never read). So many YouTubers had already predicted it and Neil had said TLOU2 was going to be all about Ellie. It was barely that. 50% of it was a pointless grind of the new gameplay/mechanics and characters aka Abby. Come on guys, Abby was just back-story.

In my honest opinion, the game was a jumbled mess. Too much flip-flopping back and forward in time. Joel was killed too early, the Abby playtime should have been shorter as we all just wanted to get through it and get back to playing Ellie.

So much of the story could have been played in a different sequence and have the same effect. Hell we could have even played as a Seraphite !!

TLOU2 just wasn't as engaging. It didn't draw you in like the first game, it didn't get inside you and create the same emotional bond/attachment. Simply put, the story telling was AWFUL.
    Environments 10/10 Mechanics 9.9/10 AI 9/10 Music 10/10 Story 1/10 Characters 8/10 Transitions 11/10 (best ever) Gameplay 9/10 Melee 10/10

WTFH was that final fight with Abby in the water all about ?? Plain dumb and felt very rushed.
TLOU was a true masterpiece. This had all the components for a fantastic part 2 building on what the first game started but ultimately fails to deliver.

Great gameplay and graphics never make up for a poor story. I felt more engaged with Uncharted 4 than TLOU Part 2. This game just reminded me how good the first game was and isn't the PS4's swansong in the way I hoped it would be.

First game draws you and pulls all your emotional strings. TLOU Part 2 seems to shove stuff in your face and expect you to be absorbed. It fails.

This review contains spoilers. The Last of Us 2 is a true testament to how not to make a sequel for a game. While gameplay received better animations and such, it mostly remained the exact same and becomes monotonous and predictable over the 25+ hour story. While it’s not bad, you'd hope for a much bigger upgrade or overhaul of crafting and other gameplay mechanics, but many remained completely untouched. But the gameplay isn’t what causes this game to be a failure in my opinion, because that’s not what people really play TLOU for anyways. People play for the characters and story, which is nothing short of disappointing and misguided in this game. The utter lack of respect toward previous or even new characters prevents the player from getting invested in them, and the game fails to utilize the one relationship the player was already invested in going into the game. Instead they demolish that relationship, and never really show it getting back to anything of what it used to be. Most other characters in this game are stagnant and replaceable, and while they have good performances, fail to make me care about them in a meaningful way. That is, until they get brutally murdered on a quest for revenge. By the end of the game I was so numb to violence nothing shocked me anymore, and I’m not sure what the game was even trying to say through all this violence and misery. What I do know is that I feel devastated for Ellie and deep hatred for another character. I truly hope Naughty Dog lets this franchise die in the pit they dug for it. I absolutely loved the first game, but this train wreck wants me to feel depressed for nothing. Some of the lessons it tries to teach seem so stupidly simple I asked myself if I was even hearing it right. All I can hear now is the ringing in my ears after listening to one of my favorite games get pillaged and massacred in the name of “Subverted Expectations”. Do not recommend. Collapse

It is a 10/10 game ... unforgettable at the visual level, literally I thought I was watching and playing a movie, dynamic environments, at the story level I know that it was not easy to integrate so many nuances but they did it in an excellent way, since they did not They only left the comfort zone of a game to sell many copies but concentrated on exposing many traits of the people that we can feel identified, hatred, rancor, love, the relationship father and daughter, doing everything for the person that you love, but also show that although everything is wrong and you think that you are on the side of "good", it is not always like that, it is all about redemption and learning ....... very well accomplished, besides that I appreciate a game that does not only tells typical stories but dares to innovate ... LGBTTTIQ +, various types of love and affection, redemption and learning

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In the first The Last of Us we were told the story of a post-apocalyptic world provoked by a pandemic that almost killed humanity (The Cordyceps fungus was passed from insects to humans and the latter became Zombies) the story is centered 20 years later and we control Joel Miller who witnessed and survived the outbreak losing his only daughter in the event, 20 years later Joel is in charge of escorting a girl (Ellie) who developed immunity to the infection, both must go through a hostile North America and not only must be fought with the different infected (Zombies), but there are groups of people who fight for resources and their own survival, Along the way, Joel and Ellie, controlled by the player, create a wonderfully developed bond through a solid script that provokes in the player an affinity and affection for the characters (that was the good thing about the first TloU, that despite being a video game, the story is told as if the player is the one who develops the story as it progresses), all these details made The Last of Us Part 1 one of the best video games in history and a reference in this industry, That's why the expectations for this second installment were very high, but after finishing this videogame (almost 50 hours) I feel that they completely ruined the legacy of the first installment, unfortunately videogames with a cinematic cut if they lack a good story the playable factor is completely left out and in this case it's an absolute narrative disaster; it lacks absolutely everything that made its predecessor great and its worst sin is to force the player during the middle of the game to control a character which is impossible not to hate. This is done with the purpose of "understanding" their motivations and provoking "empathy" and in this way justifying their actions which the game NEVER does, not to mention that this part of the story along with its secondary characters do not generate any interest, what they tell leads nowhere except to place the characters for the convenience of the story in a specific point all this added to the linearity of the game makes the game too long and ends up being tedious (I lasted several days without playing this part and I almost decided not to finish it) they would have saved this second half and nobody would have missed it, To top it off, the script destroys Joel (literally) by ruining all the good things that the character had in construction in order to give Ellie the absolute leading role, the message is clearly perceived "Let's finish with the father figure, in this progressive world there is no room for heteropatriarchy" in this way they took out of the equation one of the best characters created in the last years and not content with that the ending is the most anti-climatic thing I have seen in a long time (it doesn't lead anywhere, it doesn't leave the established characters, it doesn't even take the trouble to leave the doors open for a third installment. ..
Frankly I didn't feel like repeating the game and if I did it would be in a very distant time...

    5/10

A final observation which I must make so that stones rain down on me is the FASTIDOSOS! that are being put in with the forced inclusion, and to detail this I must mention the main characters:
Ellie - Lesbian (from the first game it was known and it didn't bother in the least but they already abused the rest of the characters
    Dina - Bisexual
    Lev - Transgender man
Abby - of the main characters she is the only heterosexual woman and she is tomboy at best (those arms are only taken out by steroids and in a post-apocalyptic world it should be very difficult to get those kind of supplements)
I better not tell you what happens to male, straight characters.
This is not inclusion, it is imposition and the only thing that all this achieves is REJECTION, nowadays it is respectable that every individual decides about his sexual orientation or his gender identity and it is good to give them notoriety but we are reaching a point where they want to put everything into the brave, that is not the method, the imposed tolerance does not stop being indoctrination.

The gameplay is also really lame unlike in the predecessor. I was wondering how they pulled that off, until I realized that Naughty Dog has a turn-over of over 70 percent, which means that any talent that had worked at this once great studio has long left for greener pastures, where the company culture isn't disgustingly "woke" and there is no endless crunch.

How could Sony have greenlighted this garbage?! HOW!!!??? This game is so appalling and frustrating it should have never been made. Rabid far-left SJWism has destroyed a once great game developer and it is a shame to see.

Sony should do the right thing and shut Naughty Dog down. They are done, nothing good will ever come out of this studio ever again.

I’ve usually associated gay as being a bit too annoyingly sensitive and too gentle (for lack of a better word...or maybe it’s delicate), but this movie is as gutsy and manly as it can get. But at the same time it steals your heart even though u might not be the same sexual orientation as Ellie u can’t help but sympathize and appreciate that there is love there. There’s so much I want to say it’s funny, the game play is so enjoyable but tbh I gotta keep playing. I think if there are complaints about this move it’s bc some ppl a bit to sheltered (as this generation can be) to appreciate a story with some real struggle and some suffering and I kind of enjoy seeing fruitcakes like that squirm a little.

After finishing: you can tell so much love went into creating this. There is such attention to detail, but at the same time, each step is leading us toward a bigger picture. Its hard for me to see how someone can not like it if they play it through, or even just play it half way through. Understandably I think some people were devastated by listening to some of the leaks, I went on nearly hate site towards the game and liked it, but well before the end of this journey I could see I was hasty in my reaction. It's a better story and more entertaining and more meaningful than most best pictures like Forest Gump, Braveheart, No Country for Old Men...and in comparing it to a book, it its in the same vein thematically as "To Kill a Mockingbird", but I feel even more superior because it was a sequel.

I sympathize to those who heard about leaks and felt their high expectations were crushed. I know a theme of hope leaves you with this feeling that's hard to beat, like at the end of part 1. At the end of part 2, despite the insult you felt to your heart early on, you can tell as a gamer who longed to take a journey, you were deeply respected and loved.

First, lets talk about those 30 hours. **** hell, this game is loooong. I swear to God, they could've easily made 2 games out of all the events and stuff that happens in this game. And absolutely nothing in it feels like "filler" content, the game just bombards you with action after action, twist after twist, it's insane. The game also has more locations and places to explore than I could've ever imagined, it's RIDICULOUS. Not ONE of them looks rushed or anything lesser than a masterpiece in terms of detail and visuals.

Talking about visuals, HOLY **** You played Uncharted 4? Yeah, this game looks considerably better. I don't know how it's possible, but it's true. TLOU 2 has absolutely no right to look this good on a current gen console. The PS4 goes out with a bang with this game.

STORY. Oh, **** What the **** do i even say here... I close my eyes and I see scenes from the game. Play it. Do it and you'll understand. I'm kinda going through my adjectives here, I don't even know how to describe it. The game will take you on a ride and there's no getting off until you reach the end. It's history making kind of story. People will talk about it for years to come.

I left one of the best parts for last... The gameplayyyyy. Visceral. **** Visceral. Absolutely ridiculous what they did here. No other game comes as close in terms of making your enemies feel ALIVE. Making your character feel alive while in combat. No game has did what TLOU 2 has done in terms of gameplay. EVER.

Gameplay wise the game is a huge step up from the first game, it's more intense and far more visceral, especially melee combat which feels meaty. Small additions like being able to go prone open up lots of possibly for stealth, being able to crawl under cars, lay in grass to avoid patrols really opened up your options. The game also feels far more responsive than other games going for this hyper realistic style, gameplay was not sidelined for realism. As with all Naughty Dog games there were also many amazing set pieces with intense action sequences that got the adrenaline pumping.

Visually it's a masterpiece, the cut scenes especially were fantastic. The animations were just on another level, which made the game feel so much more realistic, the tiniest details were paid attention to and it made a big difference overall. The lighting, textures, shadows, character models and particle effects were all so well done, the developers didn't leave any of the PS4s power on the table, and they did it all without too many performance drops.

The audio was top-notch, with industry leading voice work and some of the best atmospheric sounds I've ever heard, which helped the gameplay feel beyond intense at times, certain areas were legitimately terrifying. One small touch which I loved was the fact enemies called out names when you killed their friends, it made them seem more real, instead of just random NPCs.

The story was excellent, with some truly heartbreaking moments and lots of little stories interwoven throughout. You got to see the other side of the story in a way that's rarely the case, which made you reflect on your decisions and made you ask yourself "am I the bad guy?".

Overall The Last of Us II is a masterpiece, and a game you definitely should play, unless you have a problem with a gay lead, like the people review bombing one of the best games ever made ;)

a game worthy of the end of a generation. with a more than justified history. there is not only an incentive for the protagonist, this incentive is also given to the player, who immerses herself in the story and is totally absorbed by her until the end. everyone involved is to be congratulated for this great game as its predecessor was. maybe even more.

Mujeres violentas y masculinizadas matando hombres blancos. Matando y mofando a los creyentes con una crítica superficial.

Neil Druckman debe de ser despedido y que no toque más ningún producto.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
