Jun 23, 2020My score is basically for the story. Really poorly written. The ending makes no sense at all.

Jun 23, 2020Beautiful looking game with dated gameplay and a terrible story. For a single player story based game that is the most important part. It's written like a badly done fan fiction that thinks it's telling a deep story when in reality it's just a mess.

Jun 23, 2020To make such a abhorrent sequel to a near-perfect story brings tears to my eyes. LOU2’s story is not a labor of love; It didn’t take 7 years to make; and it makes no sense whatsoever compared to the first game. New characters we care nothing about are shoehorned into the narrative, while characters we know and love are ruined permanently. Such a miserable display.

Jun 24, 2020Think about the things you love about the first game and then play it again. Then take some time out of your day to write an essay on how the world around these characters concludes. Read it back to yourself 10 times and hold it dear in your mind. Sell this game if you bought it or do the unsuspecting used buyer a service and destroy it.

Jun 23, 2020The last of us 2 I killed a doggie, a poor wee doggie, a wee doggie minding his own business, and Neil made me kill it.

Jun 23, 2020I finished the game in 25 hours, I took my time with it because I was genuinely enjoying the game play. The exploration, the scavenging, the survival horror moments and the guerrilla-ish hit and run combat I did.
When I was holding the controller it was fun, but whenever I put it down to watch instead? I didn't enjoy what I watched, at all. -

Jun 23, 2020The story was not the best I just finished it. Also all that SJW crap has to go like why is this game pushing it so hard...but The combat and skills was good and the way the camera moved around too.

Jun 23, 2020Beautiful game. Looks fantastic. Gameplay is a bit dated but is a slight improvement from the previous game.
Story however is an absolute mess, and for me the story is what I loved about the first game. Plot holes, characters that act out of character and make dumb decisions, side characters with no depth... these are things I’m very dissapointed in.

Sep 13, 2020The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Sep 5, 2020Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

Game World Navigator MagazineSep 3, 2020If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
