    Definitely a masterpiece! In my opinion, as a person that has played a huge tons of games, I can proudly say this was the best game I ever played until today in all aspects! No game, movie or series has ever made me feel the way this game made my feel, it really managed to touch us, great story! I’m pretty sure most of the haters didn’t even play the game, they probably just watched someDefinitely a masterpiece! This is surely a game only mature people will enjoy. Also, this shows how toxic the gaming community can be, something is not liking the game, but being a hater and wasting time raging everywhere about the game and even sending death threats to Naughty Dog... You can see how reliable most of the negative reviews are due to this and due to the hate having already started with the death leak before the game launched. I mean, a huge quantity of the negative reviews were on the firsts days after launch, they probaly didn't even finish the game... I'm pretty sure anyone who has actually completed it didn't atleast hate the game. Definitely deserved GOTY!… Expand

    I want start it off with a statement, taht i just loved the first game. It was for me not a games game but more more of a story with game machanics to go through it. It was all about a relations, decision, bonds, characters, things that should be said and shouldnt. It was just one beautiful piece of work with a hard hitting ending. In fact with ending that left me hanging, cuz i couldntI want start it off with a statement, taht i just loved the first game. In fact with ending that left me hanging, cuz i couldnt really agree with Joel but on the same hand i understood him i probaly would have done the same. and the sequel is much more of the same. As i wasnt sure how they would try to continue the story after such a good ending as i was muchly open as i wasnt expecting nothing.
    To my suprise the sequell i straight up the consequence of the actions done in the first part. It builds on it and moves the characters forward. The actions they made impacted them and they were living with a budren of it. Thanks to that the flow of the game is mustly natural. Knowing Ellie and Joel we understand why they taking this and not other actions. What drives them basically saying. As i dont really want to spoil anything i will depart my review in parts.
    Graphics
    This is just splendin looking game. The vision that authors had is much what we gets. The enviroment apart from looking great is packed with idiotic attention to detail. The colors are great and what i love tells basically what the characters are thinking - they emotional state. As an exemple - the opening scene of the game with Joel and Tommy and their conversations. The colours are firstly mostly dark and tense, the forest is deep greeny and almost surrending Joel withon itself. Than it suddenly goes up and it starting to geet nicer. And i think it perfectly fits with what Joel is thinking. As he tells his story he stucked with it for a good while and only after he could calm himself. And thats in many points of game done so Vide Ellie and "red" scene, Day 3 and heavy rain, starting with Abby, Abbys escape and so on..
    Charachters are also perfectly done and i cant express my self how satisfied i am with what i seen.
    Simply put ND outdone themself here and is just 10/10.
    Atmosphere
    I touched already upon the colors and building the emotional state of characters so lets go elsewhere. Loved the sound of that game. It knows when it should go quiet and when to pick up. Sometimes we hear some little sounds form somewhere which keeps us on guard. Loved the fact that they continued with mostly guitar based simple music, as guitar plays significant role in this game. Locations are perfectly well done and leaves you with an real life place, that was only left in the misery of time. Small letters sticks to places where you find them and places tells other part of their stories. Every place is done with intention to give an impression on the player. Nothing seems fake.
    The story itself is more of diving deep into bad place, and it sticks in it for a long time. Actors played they role really good and does not seem fake even for a second.
    Loved the parts where during a sneaky fight and after doing a damage i hear the enemy shouting a name of other friend, to check on him. It just keeps the imeersion alive.
    Plot
    Thats the most tricky part of my review. Many shouted many things and i will try to adress some of them.
    LGBT - i have no problem with it. Its done naturally and also rolling with character of Ellie from first part. Its nothing put out from nowhere.
    Female main characters - its just plain stupid to argue about it. Ellie is a natural protagonist and the other one is just her counterpart to make similarieties. Anyways its story done and why should anyone argue with it?
    - Dig into other side - well this game is all about perspectives. Firstly you think that what Ellies about to do is ok, and as the game rolls you start to question her actions. And then you jimped on the other side, i find out that Ellies perspective is very similar to other sides, and it really does matter where you sit when you judge someones action. So as i was negativly at the start with it, it grew on me. And then it does matter at the finale where neither You or Ellie are sure why you persuit what you are about to do.
    Gameplay - it is satisfying, but mainly basic. For such a game there is not too much of variety of enemies but it does not hurt. As i already stated the storytelling is the main part of the game - not the gameplay.
    Fun - Now that is the hardest one. Its not fun game simply put. And it wasnt inteted to be also. It is a game where you should question yourself many times. It is hard hitting, often down to the ground one way journey, where you need to roll with it, sympathise with characters and see them... well.. lose themselfs. Its not fun game in terms what you expect. Its more of an experience. Games even leaves you with this feeling of unacomplishment while we cant really speak of a happy ending for real.

All the so called "religious" people in this game are religious fanatics who want to kill and torture a transgender person. As if all religious people from every religion were like that but apparently after the world ended, ended all types of non-marxist stereotypes of religious people and religious groups. There are no liberals among them. None of them loves others. All of them are basically New Testament era pharisees. This game is discriminating against religion and religious people. It also discriminates religious liberals when it claims that only hateful bigots survived the end of the world. All the "good guys" are non-religious people and I'll say this again, none of the "religious" people in this game help the transgender person against others of their own group. What adds up to the irony of that all was the claim of the developers of the game to say that there's moral ambiguity because they picture both the villains background and the Ellie's background. But as faithful Marxists the development team forgot that even after the end of the world there would be people who joined the religious fanatics but then disagreed with them but for one reason or another decided to not obey their rules as strictly. This has been shown to happen in religious groups in the past and is happening in many western countries today. What I described happened during the 16th century in Germany. Google Martin Luther. Yeah, after the end of the world only liberals can think for themselves according to Naughty Dog.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Es sin duda una gran pena que miles de personas no hayan sabido valorar como es debido la inmensa creación de la gente de "Naughty Dog". Se puede resumir en muy pocas palabras: Mejor juego del año 2020 y uno de los mejores videojuegos de este siglo. Mi intención no es entrar a la fiera discusión que hubo en su lanzamiento, sino valorar objetivamente esta gran obra de arte.
    Sin duda alguna, es una entrega que lo hace de 10 en muchos aspectos. El principal, en mi opinión, es la narrativa principal. Si bien a muchos fans no les gusto que Joel fuese apartado de la trama en los comienzos del juego, no se puede asignar un 0 a la narrativa y en general a este videojuego por ese hecho. La trama va mas allá de matar a repulsivos y escalofriantes zombis. Es una historia donde prima el drama, la tragedia, la soledad y la tristeza. Una historia cargada de momentos trágicos, como lo son las muertes inoportunas y sorprendentes de muchos personajes que aparecen a lo largo de la historia. También es impactante la forma en que se desarrollan las dos partes de la narrativa. Por un lado la trama de Ellie, su caza fructuosa por Seattle, en busca de una venganza implacable y fría, sangrienta y salvaje. Por otro lado, la emotiva y fiera historia de superación de Abby, que al principio se nos presenta como el principal antagonista de la trama. La trama se desarrolla en 3 días, los 3 de Ellie y los 3 días Abby respectivamente, entrelazándose ambas historias y creando momentos de tensión muy agudos. Lo cierto es que la narrativa es mas extensa (unas 25 horas) que en la primera entrega, pero también es una narrativa con muchos mas personajes, además de que "Naughty Dog" parece que quiso cerrar el circulo con esta entrega, dejándonos seguramente sin "The Last Of Us 3".
    El siguiente aspecto realmente remarcable es el apartado grafico. Sumemos y pensemos por un momento qué serian las escenas dramáticas, nostálgicas y en general sentimentales sin unos personajes con una definición brillante, un entorno cuidado y detallado y por supuesto unas expresiones faciales perfectas. Esto ocurre con esta entrega; el realismo abrumador de todo en general nos hace sentir lo que les ocurre a los personajes, desde lo que se nos cuenta en las espectaculares cinemáticas con un punto de granulado ideal que nos transporta al cine hasta el "gameplay" en general, que también mantiene un tono de cinemática increíble.
    Por otro lado, también destaca en el apartado como yo lo llamo de los "detalles". Son los pequeños detalles los que marcan la diferencia entre un videojuego y un gran videojuego. Por ejemplo, el increíble realismo de la sangre, los desmembramientos a enemigos, la mejora de armas o la rotura de cristales son esos detalles que marcan la diferencia. Otro detalle fascinante es el incremento de pulsaciones y respiración tanto de Ellie como de Abby en combate o en momentos de tensión.
    Otro punto que no quiero dejar pasar sin comentar es el de la inteligencia artificial. Los enemigos, principalmente humanos, cobran una personalidad, un realismo que realmente nos hacen acobardarnos de ellos y sumergirnos en un combate de guerrilla y en el que primara el sigilo y la puntería con nuestras armas y la poca munición de la que disponemos.
    Con todo esto, no podemos negar que no todo lo de este videojuego es brillante, pero en general todo lo que se ve, todo lo que uno puede disfrutar y sentir es asombroso. Sin duda, no esperaba que esta entrega me fuese a fascinar tanto.    … Expand

    This is a beautiful game. The gameplay is way better the previous entry. Story depend on the taste but when the game is finished the story will be in your head for a long time. To me its one of the best games of all time.

    el juego técnicamente es espectacular pero la historia esta muy mal desarrollada, las pausas que se toman en la mayoría de flashbacks rompen el ritmo del juego, el tema de políticamente correcto de la relacion lesbica de ellie también hace que el juego parezca una telenovela barata, una lastima, también fue muy lamentable que nos mintieran con los trailers, algo decepcionado me quedo conel juego técnicamente es espectacular pero la historia esta muy mal desarrollada, las pausas que se toman en la mayoría de flashbacks rompen el ritmo del juego, el tema de políticamente correcto de la relacion lesbica de ellie también hace que el juego parezca una telenovela barata, una lastima, también fue muy lamentable que nos mintieran con los trailers, algo decepcionado me quedo con la primera parte..… Expand

    Do NOT bother playing this game. Let “The Last of Us” name stay as a masterpiece in your mind as it is. Whoever wrote this script and whoever gave it a green light doesn’t like Ellie or doesn’t respect Joel at all.

    I don't agree with everything in this game storywise, but the gameplay, audio design, voice acting and graphics are all phenomenal. Far from a perfect game as some say, but still a good one.

    В эту игру стоит поиграть. Увы тут есть пропаганда, но ее не много (2-3 раза за 25 часов).
    Тут лучший геймплей, графон и сюжет , который заставит в конце пустить слезу.

    - migliora il primo nel gameplay, offrendo al giocatore un'esperienza più varia, data dalle nuove possibilità in combattimento e da un intelligenza artificiale sbalorditiva. Il tutto rende il gioco non solo difficile e gratificante, ma anche e soprattutto molto divertente da giocare.

    - offre una storia molto complessa e profonda, in grado di far vibrare le corde del cuore tanto in positivo quanto con emozioni di forte rabbia, tristezza e solitudine, senza però mai risultare banale nei suoi momenti dolci, né eccessivamente drammatica nei suoi (tantissimi) momenti tristi.
    Il punto di forza della narrazione di The Last of Us - Part II non è tanto la scrittura, né tantomeno la regia (seppur eccellente) ma l'incredibile messa in scena, semplicemente FUORI PARAMETRO. La recitazione digitale poi, è forse l'apice più alto mai raggiunto nella storia del medium.

    - presenta un comparto tecnico incredibile, a partire dal superbo sound design, per poi passare dalla stupenda regia a un doppiaggio mozzafiato, da animazioni facciali mai viste a un'incredibile attenzione al dettaglio.

    - ha una longevità invidiabile per il genere di cui fa parte, dato che la storia principale richiederà come minimo 20/25 ore per essere completata.

    In conclusione, The Last of Us - Part II è un gioco che difficilmente deluderà le vostre aspettative, che si rivolge a chi ha amato il primo capitolo e a chi in generale piacciono le belle storie. Consiglio però a tutti di giocare il primo The Last of Us, imprescindibile per la godibilità del secondo e per godere al meglio di una trama con molti riferimenti al capitolo precedenti.

    Naughty Dog ha fatto centro, The Last of Us - Part II è un masterpiece, un must have, un motivo per comprare ps4 e a mio onesto e modesto parere un motivo per avvicinarsi al medium videoludico. Uno dei giochi migliori di questa generazione.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is just my honest opinion. The reason this review comes so late is because I played the game twice. The first time I was so heartbroken. It totally crushed me. I kept thinking about it for weeks. At that time I found the game **** I wasn't sure of my opinion so I searched people on yt, twitch, etc. who had the same thought of the game as me. The more and more I watched the worse I began to see the game. After that, the game still chased me. I began to wonder, should I give it another shot. So again, I looked up reviews of the game. Now, I only wanted to see positive reviews. After a lot of searching, I found 1 yt-video of Nathan Zeb. The title of the video was:The Last of Us 2 is a Perfect Sequel for the ones who want to watch it. It completed changed my mind. I gave the game a second chance.
    After playing the game twice. I understand now how wrong I was and maybe a lot of people feel this way as well. In my opinion, I think why we saw the game as a **** game is because we are to focused on Ellie and getting revenge. Once you start to look at a different point of view, you realize this game is stunning in every way.
    So to close this off and for the people who just want a recap. Watch that video of Nathan Zeb. Play the game again but try to look at it differently.    … Expand

    A game notable for graphics, the story has excellent ideas and is well written, however some aspects of the story do not fit the gameplay. Completely absent a dynamic weather and therefore dynamic lights, ultra forced path and bad gunplay system.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
