a great game, but it makes me depressed, I don’t agree with the ending, there should be a continuation and completion of the plot.
    The game is very cruel!

Excelente jugabilidad y los mejores gráficos de esta generación, pero pésima historia que arruinó la franquicia.

I trust naughty dog so much,so I spent 60$ and pre-order this **** game. This must be the worst story I ever seen in my life. When I forced to play as someone I hate so much, i just stop playing and turn off my console. It really hurt my mental heath. I gave 1 point for the fascinating graphics.

La muerte más estúpida que he visto en un videojuego y para un personaje excelente, menuda basura. Sí, supone ser un juego crudo, pero aún así que mal manejaron la forma en que muere Joel.

A very controversy, brave and emotional game. I was not expecting that deepness and perfection in telling a story that realy hurts the actual enviroment that we live in, giving visibility and suporting causes without ruining the story and actually giving it a great direction to go foward. Great experience, best game in ps4, Maybe best game ever.

Forcibly using the death of the previous generation to sublimate the game is something that the weak will do. If you feel that such a storyline is used to perfunctory players, you have done it.
Isn't playing games full of sensory stimulation? Why bring the set of your real hobbies into the game?
If Ellie was killed, Joel will use his life force to destroy the opponent.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us: Part 2 wasn’t a terrible game in any way shape or form, under any other title it would be seen as a great game. But the fact that the initial game was so great and the standards were so high for a sequel, it somehow seemed destined to fail. It was one of the most beautiful games I’ve played. The attention to detail of the characters and the feels of the areas you explore are immensely pleasing. The core visual of the game could be mistaken for cutscenes at points. I can tell the effort put into the game visually and gameplay wise were very thorough and it showed. Where the game kind of lost me was the storyline and the feelings the game left me with. When I ended the game I set down my controller and I didn’t feel positive, I didn’t feel as if I completed a great triumph or just had an unforgettable experience with the game. It left me in regret. I wish I hadn’t played the game. A lot of the story seems out of place. There are flashbacks in random points that either interrupt the story or don’t give anything really meaningful, (though the flashbacks with Joel were very beautiful and sweet to play through). The characters had no meaning to me because they were introduced and were killed before we got to know them, and they are either 1)later revealed to be a good person and we should feel guilty for it (I never felt guilty) or 2) were not touched on at all for the rest of the game. The plot was very simple minded. We all would want to get revenge in a situation Ellie was put in obviously but I feel like it could’ve taken a much better and more controversial approach, where it could leave you wondering if you made the right decision or not. I didn’t mind Joel’s death, in fact I think it needed to happen, but the revenge plot just made the story seem one-dimensional. Additionally, a lot of the points I felt bored with the repetitious gameplay and it didn’t feel like anything new or dangerous was around the corner. Lastly, the whole zombie/ infected outbreak was kind of abandoned. Not a single important person was bit or infected which gave me the impression that they kind of got rid of the outbreak being a point to drive/ break the story. It felt wrong in that sense. In conclusion, The Last of Us: Part 2 is a ‘good’ game but the fact that it was a sequel to one of the best games to have graced our screens made it feel pretty poorly thought out and executed. I didn’t wait 7 years to play a ‘good’ game after I had played an unforgettable experience. It, in all honesty, left me with a sick taste in my mouth and makes me not want to touch another story driven game for a long while because I’m afraid to be left with the same taste Expand

i cant say this isn't a good quality games its game play is good and the quality is perfect but when you progress through the story , it becomes **** up where you have to play with the girl who killed the best father { joel ) RIP , just to show you that she is a good guy not the bad killer ,and the way that joel died is dumb . like they just after 30 years of surviving and experience hei cant say this isn't a good quality games its game play is good and the quality is perfect but when you progress through the story , it becomes **** up where you have to play with the girl who killed the best father { joel ) RIP , just to show you that she is a good guy not the bad killer ,and the way that joel died is dumb . like they just after 30 years of surviving and experience he just trust an a 10 random people group like. its a dumb way to make him die so you can get revenge and in the end where Ellie and Abby fight ..what happens is Ellie losses her 2 fingers and Abby gets nothing ..btw this game is a follow up of the first game which the main characters are ellie and joel . now in this game you have to play in an another character for half the game and some of the characters have no background like Jesse and Dina so as a old fan and completed it 5 times im pissed and sad Expand

My issue was having to play this new character called Abby. I couldn't care less about her and approximately 50% of the game you play as her. She's hollow, uninteresting and unlikable and I just couldn't connect with her the same way I did with Joel and Ellie in part 1.

I ended up reducing the difficult to very light. I had no desire to improve skills and gun specs. I stopped looting vaults and cupboards/drawers altogether. Despite all of this, her parts still felt like an eternity. It completely ruined the game for me.

Narratively speaking, this sequel should not exist at all as the ending of TLOU 1 was perfect.
But, if you're going to make an unnecessary sequel, and least make it that, a sequel, make sure it preserves the essence of what made the first game so special: the bond between Ellie and Joel... that's what made the first game so immersive and unique and it is baffling to see that Naughty Dog

From the technical standpoint, the visuals are really good... that's it. The gameplay becomes repetitive and tiring very quickly, and when I think of it, it would probably have been the same with TLOU 1 if it wasn't for how invested we were in the story and the relationship between Ellie and Joel, on top of being accompanied with some excellent narrative elements.

The best bits of TLOU2 are precisely the flashbacks featuring Joel and Ellie... if you decided to make a sequel, THAT was the game you should have made as that's what I would have been interested into.

Instead, TLOU2 is a soulless return to the same universe of the first game but with characters and a story I just don't give a damn about and without being invested in the story it makes this game far less enjoyable, to the point where I found it repetitive and tiring...

Where to even begin. WHY DID JOEL DIE THE WAY HE DID???, who thought that was a good way to kill him? All this game is is a revenge gore fantasy where you hunt people down. The graphics are good tho.

This game was a real let down not worth the money, I will never play it again in my eyes the Last of us 2 was a fan fiction realised by fans and is not a real continuation of the first game. The way Joel is killed is really disappointing and downright disrespectful and being forced to play as Abby for hours was awful I didn't care for her story at all I hated playing as her and then not even being able to kill her at the end of the game was stupid and a real letdown. For me the franchise ended with Ellie and Joel on the hillside and never had a sequel. Expand

With all this new technology and moderate gameplay improvements (but no one really played for the gunplay tbh) it had set the stage to completely outshine its legacy and create a true game of the year or even decade, all of its hard hitting emotional scenes fall flat or worse, induce a feeling of dis-satisfaction and disappointment, the relationship between the players and the characters was handled with utter contempt, with no saving grace between them, if we can even call them the same characters, many of them do not act consistently and often jump to irrational and illogical decisions that have been shown repeatedly to be against their entire backstory and demeanor.

I don't know if the original writers were bought back for this game, but i heavily doubt it, TLOU was not a game that can stand up based on its gunplay alone, 80% of its core was a compelling story with relatable and consistent characters, its successor needed to be handled with the utmost care and tact, of which it failed to the point that im not sure if they were even trying, i feel bad for the coders and programmers that poured so much of their heart into it, because that does show, the writing team had failed the game, the company and their co-workers, its madness that no one tried to pull them up on it.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
