    You want your player to feel hate and stuff like that . So why you dont create the feelling ?

Stop ruining our beloved characters, Neil literally spits on Joel after she-hulk goes full golf town on him.. absolutely disgraceful, then expects us to enjoy playing as Abby???     Imagine just relentlessly slaughtering hundreds of people and several dogs just to get to the person who killed the equivalent of your dad and stopping at them because you have an epiphany right after they literally bit your fingers off during the fight. Like, okay. Would never happen. If Ellie actually killed Abby it would have been an overall better story. Still bad, but better than what actually happened. And the ENTIRE TIME you're playing Abby, you just wanna go back to Ellie. You never, ever, ever care for Abby or friends. You can't. You just keep thinking about how she killed Joel. I dunno if they were ever expecting us to like Abby, or if we eventually were just supposed to, but it never happened for me. Not even close. I was so mentally checked out of her story halfway through. It was so boring.

    And even Ellie's story, I never really cared at all about Dina, and I straight up disliked Jesse. The best parts of the game were when Joel and Ellie were together again. And in my opinion, if those are the most enjoyable story parts, then there's a disconnect/failure with the game. Cause it means I'm still connected to/invested in the past. So much so that now that it's gone, I don't actually care about the present in the game.    … Expand

I expected a game to solve the mystery and responses behind the "cordyceps". Instead of we've got a sexual dilemma.     So before I begin, I'm about as left as one can get without sporting a hammer and sickle. Saying that even I grasp subtlety and nuance. This game has none of that. I tried really hard to avoid the leaks because I sooo wanted it to be good.
    -If I were just rating it on graphics, ambiance, and music it would be perfect.
    -Gameplay is pretty much the same as the first which is fine, kinda    So before I begin, I'm about as left as one can get without sporting a hammer and sickle. Saying that even I grasp subtlety and nuance. This game has none of that. I tried really hard to avoid the leaks because I sooo wanted it to be good.
    -If I were just rating it on graphics, ambiance, and music it would be perfect.
    -Gameplay is pretty much the same as the first which is fine, kinda frustrating at some points but
    overall a still good play through.
    -Were it face plants is in the narrative, characters, and plot.
    -I expected this game to be about Ellie, it would have been disappointing if it wasn't. I'm not "triggered " because she's gay. I've been rockin' gay female Shepard since Mass Effect 1. Certain character deaths were kinda expected to move the story along (the hero arc formula).
    -It feels heavily padded out to introduce new characters that don't really seem to serve a purpose other than to kill time. I never came to identify or even like any of them. Forgettable comes to mind. Most of the character plots and arcs go nowhere leaving me just wondering "why were they even there?".
    -The game makes a point to make you feel bad. It ham-fists the "dichotomy of man" constantly. I felt like it was nagging me almost to the point were I almost quit playing.
    -Its dark and depressing. There's no sense of hope or optimism. The first game gave you a dark, surly, cynical main character that life took everything from, and over the story rebuilt him with a likable, sassy, lost child. This game says "Don't even bother trying to live. Life's just going to come and kick you in the d#$k anyway" style.
    -Some reviewers seem to want to give it a high score for what it tried to do, but other games have already done it and done it better.
    -If I were to some it up, its just a cheap, lazy, petty, revenge story with nice cut-scenes. Its been done better by those with less.    … Expand

    Felt hollow with just a political narrative. The gameplay felt smooth and improved but not the main focus. Story and character usually was. It mattered little to care for the beloved characters of prior just to focus on other characters' poor introductions and involvements.

So they killed Joel in the most humiliating way possible, killed every other character the player would care about, left us with no reason to continue playing the game but to avenge Joel but then we let the murderer walk away in the end just like that? WoW I never thought you could ruin one of the best games ever and shove it into the dirt with one hand. Besides all these unnecessary gay porn scenes. I can't believe they did this to my favourite game definitely would not recommend buying this.… Expand

Joel dies... with no honnor no respect to his name, just gets beat with a stinking golf club... no regard to the first game and its adding the main plot of a girl that Joel killed the dad of but wasnt even mentioned in the 1st game... these games are about the story and u f up the first one with this. Not even gonna include this game to the last of us continuity just gonna forget about it, but its hard when they are such amazing characters that you cant forget... naughty dog u f up… Expand

    The gameplay is like the old one, nothing new, bad level design, enviroments are good, characters are crap.

    DO NOT BUY THIS!

    Pretend this never happened and you will save yourself a displeasure.

    Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann will hopefully never direct a game again after this. To take a beloved franchise and insert pandering political narratives that nobody cares about and to treat the two main characters the way he did is unforgiveable. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. OverNaughty Dog director Neil Druckmann will hopefully never direct a game again after this. I feel sorry for the dev team who painstakingly created such a beautiful world only to have it ruined by a truly awful narrative. Over 70% of the naughty dog staff resigned over the treatment of this game and the staff by Druckmann. Hopefully this is the last time a blockbuster is ruined by a woke narrative and we can all learn our lesson from this but i doubt it.… Expand

El juego esta bien, los graficos son geniales, el gameplay fantastico, mantiene algunas mecanicas del primer juego pero obviamente mejorado por esa parte es un muy buen juego, pero en la historia deja mucho que desear, que quede claro que a nadie le molesta la idea de que Joel muera, eso todos lo veiamos venir pero ejecutarlo de la manera en que lo hicieron es lo que enoja a los jugadores, mas el final, les recomiendo mucho que vean primero el gameplay en youtube y asi decidan bien si comprarlo o no.… Expand

    "Is this really happening right now?" is something I constantly kept thinking...in a bad way. The only reason Joel and Ellie are in this game is to trick you into caring about this completely one note standard revenge plot. A single point for being technically impressive.

    The graphics and gameplay are amazing, however the story and it's execution are a disaster. The characters are inconsistent with the first part, there are plotholes and making us play as a character that we will never like is a horrible choice. They force a story that does not make sense. They can only save the franchise by starting the next part with ellie waking up from a bad dream.

    A franchise killer. Ellie, the cute tough, funny kid is now an ugly, morose, bitter, whiney child. Joel, the tough jaded man who grew to love Ellie as his own is treated like so much trash. The man/girl thing villian is horrible. All of the people in the game are unlikable and ugly. Gone is the humor and love thst offset the horrors in the first gsme.     it was a joke and waste of money. characters dont feel real, story is unbelievable. graphics are good but will get old pretty quickly anyway.

    do not play if you have an emotional bond with the first game.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
