    This Game in combination with Part 1 tells the best story I've ever seen in media (movies,video games and other).
    It's funny to see how many people reviewed this game before they even played through the Intro and how many people that did play the entire game, don't understand anything about the first Game and the second game.

    YOU HAVE THE CHOICE
    But don't blame naughty dog for giving you the opportunity to decide which way you want to play this game. Of course the graphics are impressive and the mechanics are a true improvement over the first game but that's not the part that makes this game great. It's the story and if you don't like it I won't blame you for it but if you're saying it's bad in generally you have no idea what you talking about. But let me say this;
    If you loved the first game then this game will absolutely make you feel every single emotion that Ellie feels. If Ellie shakes you shake. If Ellie feels pain you feel pain. If she laughs you'll laugh and if that doesn't convince you that this game has a great way of telling a story you should may question yourself what you expect from a video game.

    So Please don't focus on the negative reviews of this game because most of the people have no idea what they're talking about. My advice;

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolutely fantastic! Sure there are certain aspects to the narrative that people may find hard to swallow, such as Joel's Death. Which kinda makes me remember the feeling when Joel's daughter died in the original title.
    I honestly cannot see where all the hate is coming from for this game. Do yourself a favour and play this game, you will not be disappointed. The graphics and game play are amazing, the story line is fantastic. Just because I don't like one aspect of that story line, I'm not going to hate the whole story.
    Obviously a lot of review bombing has gone on here. My advise is just ignore that and play it.    … Expand

    This is the best game ever.
    I don't know whether I wanna pity or despise people who review bomb this game but while the impression of the game is still strong I choose the pity - I hope one day you grow up and learn to appreciate this piece of art. This work is an unique gem of gaming and I'm glad we have it. Totally worth the wait.

    Amazing game! You need to experience the full story to appreciate it though. If u see just some parts out of context or read all the hate online you be missing out! Play and see for your self. Amazing gameplay, and graphically is the best this gen had to offer .

    На самом деле игра заслуживает 8/10, а не 10. Но хочется поддержать игру и защитить её от хейтеров. Если сюжет не оправдал чьих то ожиданий, это не значит, что он плохой. Если игра способна вызвать такие бурные эмоции своими поворотам, значит, что все было сделано правильно. У разработчиков получилось вызвать бурю эмоций у всех, очень жаль, что большинство людей не способны понять,На самом деле игра заслуживает 8/10, а не 10.     The Last of Us Part II is the best game made by Naughty Dog on PS4. The History of Ellie and her journey with Joel in First part was amazing but The Last of Us II is masterpiece. Every normal player must experience this fantastic story. Graphics and game physics are absolutely perfect. I Recommends this game for everybody.

    Si il y a temps de haters a cause du scénario c'est que celui-ci est réussi car il fait réagir fortement et c'est son but.

    Love the game, love the story. Glad to see women who aren't overtly sexualized for the benefit of male gaze. The people brigading this with low scores are afraid that if all women are perfect subordinate objects their delusional power fantasies about that one girl who was nice to them at the library might never play out.

    Thank you ND for making a great game! It was an emotional roller-coaster and it made me think about how people are. For a typical revenge story, you made it feel fresh and you took your time to connect the first game into this one. Was everything perfect? No, but the experience was.     Просто напросто жалко что петухи с пекарнями засрали полность рейтинги игры скажу так игра на самом деле 9.5/10 история подкачала , НО по сути это The last of us ребята это "Бомба !" Нужно играть самому правда . Всем мир )
    p.s. про повестку ЛГБТ скажу так реально всего 2 сцены и пару фраз в сюжете, неприятно но перетерпеть стоит это же Tlou 2!     This game truly is the game of this generation. Honestly, so many feelings and thoughts and experiences bound into one game. Naughty dog are true and proper story tells. They make you feel how the character feels in the good moments and definitely the deep and gritty moments of the game. 10/10

They gameplay is excellent, it looks, sounds and feels amazing, and most importantly the story feels real, it isn’t a generic Hollywood story where the good guy wins no matter how much bad **** he does. Spectacular game, looking forward to playing it again.

    Bad reviews are coming from people who can't accept Joel's death and they are now blind.. .they didn't even finish the game.

Loved the story structure of Seattle day 1-3 and character switch. Impressed with how they handled the different perspectives. Flash back sequences were amazing. Wasn’t thrilled about how they handled the Joel’s scene but felt satisfied by the resolution with Ellie’s story. Gameplay mechanics, level design and graphics are masterclass. You are able to approach every enemy encounter with multiple pathways and combat can be so diverse and intense. Some truly amazing action sequences and set pieces.

    New factions introduced and world building were well realised. New companions Lev, Yara, Jesse & Dina were fine but weren’t as interesting as Joel, Tess & Henry. LGBT & SJW agenda were handled really well but the pregnant thing was a bit in your face.

    Loved how dark, gritty and shocking the game was. Most of the story beats resonated with me. It’s such a different game from the first but Still feels like a natural extension of TLOU. I’m glad we got a sequel. Many are not happy about it and I can understand why. I did have some issues with the game but once I had completed It, I was absolutely impressed but what I had jsut experienced. Not many games even come close in ambition, quality and production. It’s another masterpiece for me. Hope there’s a third.    … Expand

    VISUALS:

    Visually this is the best looking video game i have ever played, the the dark green tones when venturing through the Seattle ruins or the drenched wet downpour while going through the city are mind blowing, i lost count of the amount of times i had to stop and capture a screenshot.

    Every spores particals in the air is crisp and detailed, the blood that spews from an enemy's neck when removing Ellie's switchblade is a thing of beauty, gory and uncomfortable but absolutely stunning .

    GAMEPLAY:

    The gameplay is possibly the most organic feeling gameplay i have ever experienced, the movements and dodging through narrow gaps in walls are so seamless and incredibly satisfying, every stab or gunshot just feels perfect, how you can easily go from stabbing a guy, to then running full speed off a top floor balcony on to an unsuspecting enemy below and execute a devastating ariel kill.

    To sum it up in bullet points the PROS far Outweigh the CONS

    -Risky plot but done well

    -Poor pacing in some areas of the story

    Just throwing this on here. Ignore the low reviews. It's a bunch of idiot bigots. This story is full of revenge with a little bit of LGBT plot. Like if you took 25 hours of this game and took out any sort of focus on trying to push a "progressive narrative " you would still have 24 hours of game play.

I feel like a lot of the unfavorable reviews are either because the narrative has been politicized (which to a certain extent it was but come on lets be real we all had a feeling Ellie was lesbian lol) or because Joel died and they didn't want him to. Its the fact that Joel dies and that half the game you have to play as his killer that triggers people. He did die in a kind of stupid way but the writing and story was pretty realistic otherwise in my opinion. It was perhaps too realistic, violent, and bleak for some though. So ig if you're a liberal that likes controversial plots then this game is for you but otherwise ig not lollol… Expand

    When the credits rolled on The Last of Us Part 2 I was still buzzing from the excitement of the final few hours. My loyalty shifted between characters. I grew to love who I hated and dislike who I loved. I laughed, I teared up. I felt anger and elation. It’s the new high water mark for video game characters and I can’t wait for everyone to see just how special it is.     Im 20 hurs in the playthrough and the game is mesmerising. I loved the first one, and the second one is perfect in every way. The score downgraded by homophobic trolls that didnt even touch the game can shove their facist banners up their asses. This game is a gem.

    I just finished the game. As I’m a big fan of the first game and I finished it 19 times with all the trophies, I was so hyped about part II and here's my opinion: gameplay and graphics are both amazing and there is no doubt about it. All the mechanisms, the dodge, and all these stuff just make the game more valuable. The story is not as good as the first one but it is still good and itI just finished the game. Joel’s dead, he paid for his actions by slaughtering not only many soldiers in the fireflies but their leader AND a surgeon and his team who are just trying to better the world. I understand he did it because he was helpless when it came to his daughter in TLOUs beginning. With that said, retribution was coming swift for Joel since that incident, it was just a matter of when. If people who enjoyed the first game understand one thing, happy endings aren’t always what happens. ND did a great job with characters in this game, development of mechanics and fleshing out of the world and exploration that grasped us in Uncharted 3-4 mostly. Ellie’s story, and Abbys takes us on a ride where we have no clue what’s going to happen, seriously, almost every character that mattered and was introduced died in brutal, quick fashion. This is not the life of the apocalypse or after every sense of normality is gone, but a tale of how revenge brings nothing but misery and pain to everyone around that person. Joel, Jesse, Mel, Owen and the rest of the Abbys friends all died because of the revenge they both sought. What impacted me was the cutscenes and when Joel had told Ellie, “you have to stop letting people get you so riled up.” And he was right. The ending is what struck me speechless, the fighting, Ellie’s missing fingers, and letting Abby leave after a quick flashback memory to Joel being in his element on the porch with coffee and his guitar. Ellie let go her rage at the end, and started taking his advice, in a way, forgiving him for what he did and hopes that she could be decent in some way. When Ellie returns home, it’s empty. This puts it and nails home the whole point of this game. Like it or not, it’s well written, composed beautifully from the character development, storytelling aspects, gameplay mechanics, graphically beautiful and most importantly a really good lesson hidden in plain sight, revenge is a fools game, and playing it hurts more then it helps. Play it for yourself, let everyone stay mad as small aspects of the game and the “plot holes” (which I found none), and form your own opinion.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't say I liked the game, but it's a solid 10. It was an excruciating experience yet cathartic. And of very strong emotions.
    I hated Abby all the way but I got her motivation.
    I was fond of Ellie, then feared of her, then feared for her.
    I hated Tommy for being ok to leave Seattle and then for disrupting Ellie's peace while she obviously was struggling with severe PTSD.
    And to my surprise, much like as in TLOU I was afraid that Joel would leave Ellie, in TLOUPII I was afraid that Ellie would kill Abby in the end.
    Maybe it can't work for everybody, but through the game I really got to that point when I was hugely relieved with the ending and shattered with it's cinematic language.
    Don't know if it was intended, but when I saw Ellie with two missing fingers LOTR parallels just stroke me: like Frodo Ellie carries her dark burden that changes her forever and comes back, mutilated and empty, to the home that doesn't feel her own.    … Expand

    Gameplay 10/10 - everything you love frome the first game, additionaly more enemies, added a dodge move as asmall mechanics for better expression of skill. melee combat feels AMAZING. Graphics 10/10 - just beautiful, haven't played a game with better graphics tbh.     Game Feel 10/10: JUICY!

    Story and Storytelling: 10/10, I personally love how the world evolved, and i like the answers to open questions just as much as how you start thinking about whats right and wrong after playing it.
    The Storytelling is just as beautiful as in the 1st game, thats for sure.

    Greatest game I've ever played. It's not for everyone, so if you're the type that just likes a story where you run up kill everything and then live happily ever after you won't enjoy it as much. It's real and shows real emotion and consequences.

    The game is not as bad as it seems. Sure, the story could’ve been a bit better but it wasn’t overall that bad. I enjoyed the game a lot and am hoping for some more story dlc and maybe even return the multiplayer. Overall I think this game is a 10/10

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
