    Gameplay and Graphics are very good. It really uses the Hardware to ist entirety.

    If the developers had just put minimal effort into Story-telling that game could have been a masterpiece. However the Story is so bad it made me cringe.

    New 'protagonist' is a virtual evil twin of Ricardo Milos
    Saved many people from wasting money in a difficult time (please take care of your health and loved ones)
    Better looking character models
    Teaches a lesson to other game developers on how to protect their intellectual property and finances
    Cons:
    Ruined Joel and Tommy's entire persona of being veteran survivalists in a post-apocalyptic world.
    Disengaged TLOU1 fans by focusing on real world pseudo social issues instead of staying true to game lore and atmosphere. Zombies, remember?

    it is barley a game its a really boring soap opera that is a far cry from the story build up from the original. when you have to push yourself just to get through the next part it is not a game anymore. graphics are top notch but the game is full of bugs, horrible written AI scripts bugging around or doing nothing.

    This game looks and sounds amazing but boring/redundant gameplay and poor Character building/storytelling really hold it back from being what it should be.     I could type a long, fleshed out argument for why this game is bad, but that would be too much of a waste of time--much like my time spent on the game.

    The Last of Us II can be summed as 7 years of disappointment. The game leaves you hollow from the beginning to the end with its pathetic excuse of a plot.

    But decent console graphics and game mechanics.

    7 years of evolution from first part to drop all the pros. Characters, characters interactions, side characters, etc. The only good new mechianc is dogs and they're completely dissapers in second part of the game. Unbelievable fail.

    BUT that's about it, the "Gameplay" is what we've seen from NDog for xth time. The same repetitive mechanics, sprinkled on top with antique buttonmashing QTEs.

Joel dies **** 2 hours in like some random NPC and not a main character and we only get flashbacks of him and Ellie.     The Gameplay was fun, even when it was brutal. The Graphics are fantastic, especially the landscape and environment is engaging. I dont need to talk much about the story. what i liked the most is that ND dared to go to routs which no other Videogame till today took. It trys to tell a dark story on the scales of many Movies and Series. Its a pity that many Gamers    Loved the Game.

Since there are people just spamming 10/10's, the only justifiable thing to do is to give it a 0 (Though I would probably give it a 1 or 2 realistically). The graphics are phenomenal and breathtaking, but the game is story driven (supposedly). The story itself is portrayed through the lens of blatant SJW propaganda. Abby even holds a book that is written by David Benioff (Hilariously ironic, right?). To best describe this game, it is basically an onion with infinite layers of **** I feel bad for anyone who had to go through this mess of a game, and Neil Druckmann should be absolutely ashamed of himself for putting out something as pathetic as this game. Also, Lev (portrayed by Ian Alexander) is a known racist, so I don't know why they're portraying this person as a heroic Trans person, when in fact, they're an anti-white pos. This game will be meme'd to death, and will always be known as GoT Season 8: Part 2. Screwing over Joel the way they did and then having Manny (portrayed as Druckmann) spitting on his dead corpse is an insult to this entire franchise. Seriously, who let any of these ideas fall through? This only confirms the 10/10 critic reviews were paid for. Pathetic.… Expand

I won’t give it a 0 as the climate and landscape is beautiful, however the plot and script is beyond unbearable. It’s a shame to see a once great game get destroyed by a greedy, agenda driven nutcase.

The Last of Us 2 tries so hard to fit into its part one shoes that it lost the tone which made it so great. Some things are great like the graphics and motion capture are almost perfect. The linear lvl design is almost all the time great and the melee combat feels real. But there are things which are truly not good from a players standpoint. The standard AI feels sometimes more dumb than the first one, yes I know you can rank the difficulty up, but that only helps to a certain degree. I wished for more enemy diversity to be more precise the infected. It feels like, "just more of the same". And the last important point is the story. All the different emotions I felt in first few minutes into the first one where unbelievable. There was only one moment I felt something for any of the characters and that one was Joel. All the others even Elli felt like only driven by one emotion and my empathy for anyone was very limited. Everything in the story felt like such a generic revenge story and there are many games which did it better. I watched the ending in disbelieve and sat there for a minute and asked myself: "that was it?" After such a long time playing this game(the playing time was for me about 20-30h I am not sure right now) it didn´t felt satisfying. I am truly, truly heartbroken for how they decided to handle the story archs. Was it a bad game? No, from the gameplay standpoint I didn´t think so. Was it a good game? No, the story destroyed my expirience completely. The hole plot from the first is perfect. The second one feels like: "We have to put this theme on it, REVENGE, REVENGE, REVENGE. No other thing has a place in it." I will play the first one, again and again but this game is done for me. Sad but true...… Expand

    You shouldn't have fun with an outdated gameplay from 2013/14.
    You shouldn't have fun with all the murder porn.
    You shouldn't have fun with the story, with the abuser of characters having fun with them.
    You shouldn't have fun controlling a character with zero development.
    You shouldn't have fun watching a not post apocalyptic world where is more important not surviving but having a character bald is the priority.
    You shouldn't have fun realising that the commercial trailers were misleading, showing different characters ingame.

    First off everyone is review bombing this game. There is a lot of anger out there and we all know why.

    I admit I was one of those angry people. I saw the leaks and I was upset. I was made that a game I loved so much with characters I had grown so attached to was taken in the direction it was taken in. I wasn't gonna play it- I was 100% out. I work for a review company and I had the    First off everyone is review bombing this game. There is a lot of anger out there and we all know why.

    I admit I was one of those angry people. I saw the leaks and I was upset. I was made that a game I loved so much with characters I had grown so attached to was taken in the direction it was taken in. I wasn't gonna play it- I was 100% out. I work for a review company and I had the chance to be part of the review team and bowed out. Then suddenly thanks to a last-minute change I found myself playing this game.

    I went into it wanting to hate it. I wanted to hate the choice they made. But after beating it- I don't. It is a good game. While I still don't like some of the decisions and while I will always dislike many of the characters I still think this is a really solid game.

    1. I know you're upset over what happened. It works though- it works well enough. It does not make the game worse and it honestly works fine
    2. Even after knowing the leaks I was surprised A LOT. There is a lot packed in here and its great
    3. The story is risky. I think that it's far to dour. I love dark games, I love anything gritty. Real-life is not a nice place and I love media that reflects that. This game is WAY over the top. It's far darker than it should be and its far darker than our reality- or a Zombie reality would ever be. It reflects more on what Naughty Dog thinks of us than on reality itself.
    4. The combat is great. It is ultra-intense, in your face, and violent. You feel every punch and shot and it is jarring and engrossing. It similar to TLOU1 but far more visceral and intense. It really is a strong point here
    5. Graphically it is by far and away the best-looking game of this generation. Even RDR2 is outdone by this masterpiece of graphical design.
    6. There are many features and additions that make traversal and movement better. TLOU1 felt like a game- with very strict constraints. TLOU2 feels more lose and free, and it all feels more natural.
    7. Its engorssing and it's fun. It hooked me and kept me glued in for the entire run time.

    It's not perfect though.
    -I would have preferred you play as one character rather than more
    -I dislike the choices many of the characters make
    -There is no character growth or change... well there kinda is but its not great
    -The themes are basically "humans are violent and suck- and you all suck". I am not sure that is very interesting, deep, or necessary- its also wrong. We are living through tough times right now and people have shown they are capable of good as much as evil
    -The writing is far too dour. There are no smiles, no respites, no moments of joy. Its just a slog of nasty hatred

    The biggest flaw of this game is Naughty Dog themselves. I love their past games I am mad at myself for not giving them the benefit of the doubt considering they are batting close to 1000. But recently, or at least since Uncharted 4, they have taken a really "woke" political stance. They don't include female protagonists (only women- no men- for all of their series) because that makes the story better, they do it because they want to display their own virtue as a progressive company.

    I am 100% fine with a company taking a political stance. I am fine with an artistic company taking a political stance. I am not ok with a company putting their politics above making good art, and that happened here.

    The themes are basically "humans are evil and rotten" and they bash you over the head with that. Its more specifically "you are evil and rotten as a human". The characters make strange decisions and never learn anything. This is strange for Naughty Dog who are usually masterful storytellers than show growth and change in an organic and interesting way.

    The reason why this story is worse is because Naughty Dog was more worried about pushing their theme and narrative than making a good game. The top priority was cleary "send this message" and not "tell a good story".

    The Last of Us was pretty great right? The graphics in this one are good, the level design is great, the voice acting is great. That's it. The gameplay part of the game is mediocre, and if you're a fan of the story of the first game and looking for a continuation of Joel and Ellie's story, prepare to have your expectations subverted.

    I loved the original game, yes the story was dark in many places but there was a spark of hope, there were tender moments of humanity that were shown as we learned to love Joel and Ellie.     Yes Joel dying near the beginning could have been at least at the second act of the game and I’m pissed because it was near the beginning but it is what it is.

    Also the way Joel died people have to let this go this is TLOU world did you even play the first one all deaths were brutal and real. Yes they could have at least given him a better death but yea...

    Playing as Abby is not bad is good seeing the perspective of the villain, seeing both points of views at the same time I didn’t liked it that much but it was because I didn’t want to play with the person that kill Joel still a great idea and it was executed well just something I don’t like.

    The ending was good except not killing Abby, even though I like the character growth of Ellie in the end and realizing that she needs to brake the “cycle of revenge” is pretty good also realizing that if she kills Abby is basically the same thing, would have preferred Abby dying and it angers me a little bit but what can you do.

    Now one last thing, people forget that Joel has killed hundreds of people yes is survival but he also killed innocent people while being in a hunters group, he killed alot of the fireflies(not saying they were innocents), killed the doctors and basically doomed humanity, we love Joel and we love how he is with Ellie but we can’t forget that he wasn’t a good guy...basically in the end Death/Karma got to him    … Expand

    Naughty dog could have made a great game by not killing Joel.
    Gameplay is good with gunfights and violence is like medium type.
    Reviewers emphasized on game violence and how brutal the game is but thats not the case its a medium type violence and i have seen worse violence than this game.

    Really fun game all i can say is play the game for yourself don't listen to the bad reviews from posting this the game has been released for 8 hours and 21 minutes yet people are saying they've completed a game that takes 25/30 hours to complete so don't listen to the bad reviews they are just people trying to vring down the game

    Amazing Gameplay, Graphics and animation no doubt, but JESUS there's no doubt sony paid for all those reviews I mean the STORY, like seriously WTF. It's not that it's shocking its just that its plain bad. It's laughable and ignores all the character development of the past games. The Joel scene was so badly written that I was literally laughing during that scene.

Время выхода первой части говорит само за себя - дополнительное спихивание устаревающей пс3 и форсирование продаж пс4 за счёт ремастера "лучшей игры прошлого поколения", и всё это за относительно небольшие средства, благодаря которым игра была признана "шедевром" сначала игрожурами, а затем и внушаемым сообществом.
    Продолжение представляет собой вторичность от вторичности в квадрате, поскольку по сути является криво раздутым длц для оригинальной игры. Попытка натянуть старых "героев" на глобус плохо написанной драмы с элементами унылой расчленёнки, ради и вокруг которой, собственно, игра видимо и затевалась. Ну и ради поиметь пару раз бабла с фанатья, само собой. Если у вас нет вкуса и критического мышления, то эта игра однозначно для вас.
    Но отдельного упоминания заслуживают Сони и мракобесие с рецензиями на их продукты, которые имея достаточное количество бабла и армию фанатиков без собственного мнения, формируют это самое мнение задолго до выхода любой своей игры посредством игровых сми и "блогеров", а апофеоз абсурда происходит за несколько дней до релиза с выставлением на порядок завышенных оценок от одобренных изданий с упором на "невероятный и эмоциональный" сюжет и "проработанных" героев. Ваши языки, игрожуры, уже давно глубоко застряли в гузне Сони и им подобных. Вас можно понять - деньги, выставки, коллекционочки, ранний доступ, инсайды - всего этого издатель легко может вас лишить, суди вы об их играх объективно и справедливо. Печально наблюдать отсутствующее самоуважение, а также растущий с каждым годом уровень деградации игроков и игростроя, поддерживаемый ради сверхприбылей с помощью манипуляций в сми и небольшого, в рамках бюджетов подобных проектов, бабла.
    Время всегда всё расставляет по своим местам, как уже было с целой плеядой издателей, когда зашкаливающий уровень халтуры просто невозможно игнорировать и фекалии начинают переливаться через край. Для Сони первые капли уже упали.    … Expand

    WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!

    For some strange reason, Neil Druckman thinks that Game of Thrones Season 8 and The Last Jedi are the masterpieces and decided to follow the same footsteps.

    During the first hour of the game, Joel is killed like some trash NPC, ignoring his character personality and cautious (to unknown people) behavior towards strangers.

    Then you play as Ellie, to EXECUTE DEM REVENGE, but, then, Jessie is killed like a trash NPC. It was so hilarious i can't even describe in words.

    Next, you play as a Joel killer named Abby in order to symphatize with her (HELL, NO, TY) and then you try to kill Ellie by yourself (controlling Abby)

    During the ending Abby bites 2 fingers from Ellie's hand, but Ellie hallucinates about Joel and REVENGE IS BAD, ELLIE, STAPH! Then she spares Abby's life and sit down.....trying to play Joel's guitar, but there's -2 fingers on her hand, so she can't.

    120 out of 10

    If you consider yourself a fan, pretend that this game doesn't exist. It literally the worst insult a developer can do to it's famous franchise and it's fans.
    Not only that, but Neil Druckman insulted countless of people over twitter, calling them "homophobes" and saying things like "DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T BUY IT, FCK YOU" (this is a quote).

    So, be smart and follow the advice Neil Druckman himself - don't buy it.

    The game is so awfully writted with weak characters, almost zero development and trashy second protagonist, which you can't even kill as Ellie at the end.

    The story and the gameplay present a big improvement. Graphics and music are outstanding and hey, this is 25-30 hr of pure art. You're gonna cry a couple times.

    Even if the PC thought came out, I wouldn't be disappointed if the story was well-organized.

    However, it was hard to understand the story itself because I couldn't grasp the emotions of the main characters and people around me in the game.

    All I could think about was why?
